She's a great teacher. She leads a lively class.
Marianne Bird is an awesome teacher. She states every objective in advance and she lets you rewrite every paper. Classes were fun and lively which sometimes even included food or glow bracelets!
Marianne is awesome. She is extremely funny and every class is a blast. The best thing is she lets you re-write every single one of your papers. She wants to see you succeed. I definitely recommend taking her classes.
Marianne is funny and great teacher
Very helpful, learn a great deal, fair, open minded and a great sense of humor.
Marianne is... TSSST HOT!!! Excellent instructor. It was a joy being in her class. Outstanding sense of humor. I highly recommend taking her classes.
Marianne Bird is an excellent teacher. She states everything in advance and lets you know when papers are due. She is a very fun teacher and make every class interesting. She gets off track but its all good.
Marianne Bird is an awesome teacher! I was a little intimidated the first day of class, but I really enjoy going. It is the only one of my classes that I don't mind going to. She helps you greatly on your papers, and lets you re-write all of them! Would tell anyone to take her class!
I love having Marianne Bird as a teacher. She is very helpful and has an awesome sense of humor. I liked being able to re-write every assignment. She has a unique way of getting through to the students. Her classes are the best; you never know what to expect. I would recommend her to anybody!!
I really enjoyed having Marianne Bird as my English teacher. She was really funny and made class fun. She would always go out of her way to help you out. Theres sort of a lot of homework, but its not that bad!
Prof. Bird is really awesome. She's very understanding and helpful. She made the class fun and interesting. I highly recommend her
If there is anyone hesitant about English, TAKE HER! She was an amazing woman. You do have to write some responses, but there is always a re-write and also in class writing for easy points. She will make any class a blast and always has something funny to say. She will let you write however you want
Grate Teacher. Communicates well.
She was so much fun, and a really good teacher. If you were ever confused or needed extra help, she would not hesitate to help you.
Very funny lady, have a few short papers, easy grader, I recomend her.
AWESOME professor...that is all i can say. I recommend her to anyone and everyone.
Great teacher who really cares about her students. Great 8am class, kept atmosphere fun and witty. It was a blast!
This lady has a different personality, but she is cool. She is very easy. She lets you rewrite every paper so there is no reason to flunk. One piece of advice, do not wear a hat the first day or at all, she hates that!
This lady is crazy! She is funny in a different way. The class is very easy. She lets you rewrite every paper, so there is no way you can fail. One piece of advice, never wear a hat, or talk in class, it deffinitly makes her mad.
Gee, a teacher who wants you to show a little respect in the class by not wearing a hat and always talk out of turn. She's a great teacher!
Marianne is the best! She is very helpful and has a great sense of humor. She made being there at 8 am very tolerable! I liked the things we did together in groups in class. If you can, take her and you will learn a lot!
Great Teacher!!! I loved being in her 8am class and every day with her was a good laugh. She's crazy and fun but also very responsible and knows what she's talking about. She was always there to help if it was needed and was open minded about personal writing styles and topics. I'm even taking her for ENG 112
She is a nice lady but not a good teacher. She doesnt explain anything. She just tells you what she wants the end product to look like and then your on your own. I wouldnt recommend her to anyone who needs/likes a little instruction in their classes.
I disagree with the last comment. She gave us a packet of samples, discussed everything in class and met one on one if I had a question. She has been a great teacher and I learned a lot of stuff that will help me.
The work load is average. Marianne is willing to look at any papers, bafore they are due and give you comments. She is willing to explain anything you don't understand. BRING FOOD TO GET ON HER GOOD SIDE.
Excellent teacher! Show up do the work and get the A! Good humor and she lets you rewrite almost every assignment to improve your grade! MUST REFFERANCE THE BEATLES! PIECE OUT!
Excellent teacher. She does a great job of keeping an often boring subject fun. The class is well-designed, with no quizzes and only one test, the Final. Is NOT a blow-off class, however, it requires some work on your part, but the class is very helpful for composition skills.
Mariane was helpful and willing to help out if you need it. Everything is written in sylabus and you do go by it. Lots of fun to be in her class and she makes it so you want to be there. Fun, Fun, Fun but you learn your stuff.
It is almost impossible to get anything higher than a +8 of 10. She is a stickler about tardies and absences. She explains things well though and she is always helpful. If you are never tardy and 80% suites you than she will be a great teacher.
Gives you the ability to rewrite your work to improve your grade
She is a terrible teacher, very rude and if you miss a day of class she will tell you to just drop it. Won't try to help you if you fall behind. She tries to be funny, but is not. You will have a presentation everyday in class... good luck! I would never take her again.
strict on attendance fairly easy. but better be on time
super funny, everything that i learned has been useful and interesting, never know what she's gonna say next, dont be late, and dont miss that's pretty understandable otherwise great teacher
Excellent instructor. She allows rewrites on every single paper. Not a very difficult class if you're punctual and express interest in her class.
Expects you to be on time, DO NOT MISS THE FIRST CLASS, is quick and concise with directions, LOTS OF GROUPWORK, recomend completing small assignments ahead of time to have more time on group assignments, LOTS OF PRESENTATIONS, Good teacher, willing to work with you, fun class if you don't take it too seriously.
Don't miss class- two absences and she drops you. Don't take her if you slack even a little bit- she expects a lot and there's a lot of work. Funny lady. Makes you read a LOT. Bring all materials to every class. Take a lot of notes on each book. Get a charge card at Macy's with her for extra credit. Absolutely NO late work. GOOD LUCK! :o/
If you want a class with a teacher who is clear insightful logical pertinent or helpful this is not the teacher to take this class. Things shes said on day 1 no longer apply on day 6. She doesnt give feedback. She expects high school level equivalency while grading on whether she likes you or not. Learn the material without instruction from her.
good teacher but you need to bring all your books the first day of class. shes funny so i didnt dread going to class... extra credit if you like the beatles
Worst teacher ever. No info on graded papers to tell what mistakes lowered grade. Her hand-writing is chicken scratch at best. Her moods and personal bias seem to affect her grading. Finally, a teacher of a technical writing class should be able to convey what she means. Wish I headed my instincts and dropped her class on the first day.
Hey, I enjoyed Bird's class. She is reasonable, fair and keeps the class interesting. The assignments are practical, which helps. She is also willing to work with you to get the work done right the first time--she will review and help with editing. Great class.
I have found this class to be very interesting and informative. The assignments are well thought out and based in the real world--which makes a big difference, especially in my field of nursing. I would highly recommend this instructor again.
This teacher is funny and entertaining. But the work load is crazy. If looking are lookng for a teacher to tell you exactly what she wants, don't take her class. You have multiple multiple assignments at one time and lots of group assignments. And you better hope you have group members who want to work and need a good grade too.
She made class fun. There are a lot of books required, stay on top of the reading assigned, take notes b/c she lets you use them on your final exam. She stresses keeping your writing CLUTTER FREE. Edit before you turn in assignments--be prepared to rewrite!! By the way, she loves the Beatles and cookies :)
Ms. Bird was a great teacher. She did not over do it on the work load at all in fact we didn't even do everything in the course pack. She allows you to re-write which is a great way to get a good grade. I would advise taking her class, but not if your always late(she locks the door) and she doesn't like you to wear hats in class.
Absolutely the hardest teacher i have ever had! the work load is nuts and the grading is out of control. she ruined my 4.0 GPA. There is no feedback on any assignments you do
I thought the class was great. It was difficult but I can't begin to tell you how much it helped me. She did offer feedback on all of our work and we even completed peer evaluations in the class. Sometimes it is more than just the grade--what about finding out what will help you in the long run? I would highly recommend taking her class.
Not clear at all. I took all my papers to her to look at and she made correction suggestions. I asked her if I made her corrections if I would get a perfect grade and she told me yes, but then I would never get a good grade. I love english and get A's in it, but no one is given an A in this class no matter how hard you try.
I think we need to get real. No one is going to tell anyone you can get a "perfect" grade. Just leave high school behind and move on. It was a very good class with some really interesting assignments. Oh, by the way, I contacted her and I did get an A-. So much for that. Just work hard and get on with your life.
i had Professor Bird a year ago. English has never been easy for me. She told me she was proud of how I worked to improve. No one ever said anything like that to me before. It still isn't easy but I keep trying. I really enjoyed going to her class every week.
She was fun and I enjoyed being in her class. She gives plenty of opportunities to do well. you must be on time, and follow her rules. She made english very fun.
Has you read form 4 books at one time. Grades everyone pretty close to the same, about a B or B- grade by midpoint. You will however, learn how to write better.
good teacher, she has alot of writing assignments due for classes but they are short easy ones. funny teacher. have to have a sense of humor for this class. i would definitly take her class.
Not a good teacher. Had trouble every day of class. so many assignments and using 4 different books that have nothing to do with each other. Constantly changing deadlines and she is ALWAYS RIGHT. grades low on everything. Should retire by now. It's ok for her to make a mistake but not the student.
I read the last comment. Interesting. I was in this class. It was difficult. But if you want to learn, you try. She met extra times to help us. I only saw one or two people show up for help. I will probably use more stuff from her class than many I took this winter. As far as the schedule goes, we had quite a few snow days so the schedule go
I enjoyed the class. We wrote all kinds of papers and I actually liked the books she used. It was interesting to me--kept it moving.
The teacher is very strict and nitpicky. She is a hard grader. She also had a lot of issues with getting along with students because of a strict attitude about things from chewing gum to not wearing hats in class. She can be helpful in explaning her reasons for a harsh grade and how to make the next paper better.
I was in this legal research class and quite frankly, I felt sorry for the instructor. She had to deal with some extremely negative and arrogant students. Had they paid attention, they would have learned good, solid and useful information. They were too busy whining each class session. She did a good job.
She is a really good teacher. She can be a tough grader, but it's all to make you better on major papers. She is good at answering questions. The class can be tough at times, but you just have to work hard.
Do not take this teacher. She gives a lot of homework and is tough on grading. No one can get an A in this class unless your life revolves around her class. Pick someone else.
I had Marianne for ENG 111 back in 2004, she was awesome then, and is awesome now. there are alot of assignments but its not difficult stuff. Shes very funny and easy to get along with!! recommend her to anyone!
We had a good time in this class. But I also think we covered a lot of material. I enjoyed the different work and I especially liked her sense of humor. Good insutrcotr
Bird was awesome. Enjoyed the class. Lots of different papers but nothign that I couldn't manage. She gives time to peer edit and write in class--that helped a lot. Loves food and the Beatles!! LOL
Love this teacher she is funny and we had a lot of days of just eating in class. Super kool helps alot with papers that are due and give you a great understanding of what to do.
She didnt just use book by book repetitive material. she used "pay it forward" as a chance to help her stuents create a better world. I respect her immensely.
Frequent assignments but all simple stuff. A very dry sense of humor, but easy to get along with. The people who complain about her are slackers, stay up to date and you'll be all good. Wearing a Beatles shirt may also help your grade.
Marianne Bird is a hip lady for her age. Quite a bit of homework, but it's all pretty easy. Takes the class on a lot of field trips around the tri-cities. Definitely a cool teacher.
She used to work for a newspaper so she loves to cut up your paper if you have too much infor. she has a very very dry humor. at times rude! but if you write the papers give it youre all and read all of the books you will be just fine. also NEVER be late!!!!
I thought Bird's class was great. She always kept it intersting. What's wrong with caring about showing up for class? Do you have a job? Get real. It was a good time.
I believe Professor Bird's class will help me a great deal when I transfer. I know I am a better writer and she taught me many useful things about writing. Her class was well organized and always interesting. As long as you tried, she tried, too.
I had Professor Bird for technical writing and it was a blast. We covered lots during the short term, but she kept it interesting. It helped me with my job!! I thought it was a great class and I really liked her
This teacher is rude and talks about her self far too much. It was difficult to understand her because she skipped around. She did not teach from the book but made use take a ton of notes. I am glad I had the book. If not, I would not have learned anything.
I disagree with the last comment. I loved Professor Bird and learned a lot of good material. There's nothing wrong with taking notes--she let us use them on our test, so that helped. Some people just can't follow any direction and probably shouldn't be in school if they can't do the work.
Very picky and harsh on grading. Makes you feel stupid with newspaper logs. Rude. Not understanding why people may have to miss class. Workload is crazy. Avoid her if possible. I would have dropped if I weren't on finanical aid.
Hi--i liked the fact Prof. Bird let us do rewrites. That probably helped me improve more than anything. Is she a hard grader? Sometimes. But I would rather have that than have someone who didn't care about me or whether my work improved. Yea, you had to be in class. If you are getting financial ad, aren't you supposed to be in school?
Had her for Eng 113. Our class was great. I have already been able to use my resume! She made it enjoyable and I would highly recommend her class.
I had Bird four years ago and still use what she taught me. I am always amazed at those who complain about homework, grading and attendance. What is school, okay? She was always available to help me with any of my papers. The hard work has paid off in my new job.
How is it then that I got an A? Iam always curious about these comments. Is that the only point for a class--the A? Do you read or write at all? Do you think you won't read or write in the real world--in a real job. Come on. It was a good class. Yes, it was difficult with lots of work. I think that is why they call it college.
We do a lot of writing but I think I have improved since I have been in her class. Certainly isn't high school but I still like it.
I loved this class. End of story.
This was a great class. We keep in touch and she has been very helpful in my job search. I have already used many of the things we discussed in my other classes and my new job. Good instructor.
The kind of difficult. If you are one who is absent often, don't take her class. She's very demanding but usually tells you exactly what you need to know. My writing has improved by her standards, (I'm getting better grades)but I don't think I'd recommend her as a teacher. PS. If you're easily offended, you will probably be offended by her.
I loved Miss Bird's class and her sense of humor. It is important not to miss class and there is a lot of work. But that's what I am paying for. I am hoping to take her again for another class.
This class was great. Really liked the prof--very helpful and learned a great deal. Loved, loved, loved the Pay It Forward project.
Very nice professor alot of reading and notes during the summer class so be prepared. Also beon time she hates when you are late.
Great professor. She picks out really interesting books to read and is upbeat and cool. She always brought food in to my class and I appreciated her quirkiness. If you like reading and like English, then this is a great class to take. I developed great new writing habits in this class.
very helpful. she wants you to learn! she does re writes, which allows students to learn what they missed before and improve grade. she will take the time to go over your work with you before you turn it in.ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY! Eng 113. Highly recommended. I got a B-, if i would've had more effort would have been an easy A
I think she is funny but annoying. I hate how picky she is. She teaches you to write like a journalist, and acts like that's the only right way to write. She also assigns a lot of homework. She doesn't explain things that well. But if you're willing to put in a lot of effort, you'll do well. She lets you redo everything, which is nice.
I have to say I have really liked the class, especially the different assignments. They are not like other papers I have had to write and I enjoy that. The books she has picked also are very interesting, about life, which I like. I feel her focus on correcting my work has only improved my writing abilities. For that I am very grateful.
I have learned from her editing how to improve my work. That is extremely valuable as I will be writing throughout my new career.
Great teacher Would take a class from her anytime
Assignments & reading were all easily do-able. Sometimes though she had a pretty bad attitude that would spill over into class, & she took up class time telling us waaaay too much about her personal life.
I thought the class was great. I was able to use what I learned already for a project this fall on campus. Great class.
She is definitely different, but who says different is bad? I personally liked her for an English type of class. Respect is all she asks for, some people can't deal with that I guess. Don't play with electronics, talk while she is, and show up. That simple. Not too much to ask.
I really enjoyed taking Professor Bird this semester. She is hilarious, always made our class laugh. However, you cannot read her writing, so ask her what she wrote. I would definitely take another one of her classes, and recommend everyone to take her.
There were 4 books assigned to read, seems liek a lot but it was totally managable. It is unlikely you will recieve a 100% on an essay, she likes to make suggestions and ways it could have been better. Rarely gives A's. You will learn a lot in the class though, and she is a very respectable and wise woman. She is no-nonsence so if you are about to skip class or not do homework- don't bother.
Instructor is quite entertaining and makes coming to class not seem so boring. Expect group projects, writing papers, letters, etc. Gives clear directions on assignment requirements. Allows in class time to work on group projects, watched a couple cool movies in during class too.
I took an accelerated course, and so it felt like there was a lot of homework the entire time. Not sure if it's like that for her normal course. She can be a tough grader, but she allows you to rewrite assignments.
I took this during springsummer semester and was a little intimidated on my first day. Marianne is a great teacher, always gives you positive feedback on projects, papers are graded & handed back on good time, and allows you to rewrite papers. She's funny; make sure you don't use your phone during class and be on time. Highly recommend!
A lot of writing in this class. Edits papers like crazy, but allows re-writes for extra points. She always brings humor to her class and will get personal, which isn't a bad thing for me. I love her assignments, all real world topics, easy to read books. I think I am a better writer after this class.
Hated this class. She grades really hard and there is at least one writing assignment due every week. She gets mad if you leave to go to the bathroom and dont ask. Must be to class early or else you cannot turn in the homework. Her writing is hard to read and thinks a 6/10 is a good start. Would not recommend
She is a really tough grader. Everything you knew about English is wrong. If you are one minute late she will be ferious. If you get offended easlily you will be offended by her and she has made fun of a student wile he wasn't in the room. She makes you send her an email of your favorite beetles song and always talks about them. Wouldn't recommend
I enjoyed this class. I already turned in a resume and got the job. Very helpful and very funny.
By far the most unreasonable professor I have ever had. She wouldn't or hardly helped me when I reached out for help on my papers. I have a 3.8 gpa and I've gotten my worse grade in a class ever in her class. I have Never rated a professor until now and that is because she was to horrible not to rate.
I enjoyed the books she used and her style. Very clear and organized. Good class.
Unclear grading system, Grading is more how she feels that day. Make sure you like food and the Beatles. (Good ways to score an A for the day) Don't be late and be organized. Other than her unclear grading she was great.
She seems scary to begin with, but you will learn to love her. Whether if you like the Beatles or not, whenever you are in the class, you then absolutely adore them.
She is a tough one. Her grading is all over the place. She hates long sentences and you lose 5% every class you miss. Definitely show up and have your work printed before class.
Ms. Bird is a wonderful professor. Her attendance was not mandatory for this class, but if you didnt show up you missed a lot of information. She is a tough grader, but allows you to rewrite your work after shes gone through and fixed all the mishaps. Her book choices for the semester were great and easy to read! Overall, I enjoyed this class!
Professor Bird is a hard grader and assigns a lot of papers each week. She is subjective and unclear on how she grades your papers. She is a very old fashioned professor by being very strict in the classroom and not using elearning for your grades. I had to work extremely hard to earn an A. I would not recommend having her as a professor.
I enjoyed her English class Very much. I especially liked the readings and the papers we were able to write. Plus, she let us rewrite our work which was very helpful. Would definitely take her again.
I just really enjoyed the class. It was a spring session and we covered a lot of stuff but she was always helpful, available and I enjoyed her lectures. We also had potlucks which was kind of cool. The books she used were also excellent. Good class overall.
I really enjoyed Prof. Bird and her class. She does give you a lot of papers but it all kind of balances out. Show up, do the reading and writing and you should be okay.
She was awesome. I am taking her again next semester. Very good teacher
Loved this class. We had a lot of work but she gave us enough time to work in class and that helped. Really liked the books we used.
I would never take one of her classes again. Her grading scales were not clear at all. She told our class no one would get an A because she wouldn't be doing her job. Whether you had a few marks on your paper from grading or many you would still get the same grade. I had multiple papers marked down for spacing errors even after I asked specifics.
I really liked the fact she let us rewrite our work. That really helped me. She was fair and willing to work with us, which I know helped me a lot. We wrote a lot of different papers and I enjoyed the books we read.
I have really enjoyed this class so far. Her book selections are great and the papers are interesting. I am planning to take another one of her classes if I can. Great prof.
Professor Marianne Bird made the best out of a difficult situation. It was 2020 and Covid-19 shut everything down. We were forced online and the platform for online learning wasn't the greatest, and somehow through all the headache she made it good. I give this teacher props, she did the best with what she had
Though I never stayed in her class long enough to hear her teaching. I had a doctors appointment on the first day of class that had been scheduled for months. (I have ulcerative colitis) not only was she not understanding after I politely emailed her about this, but she told me that if I were her I would not schedule appointments during class time.
Terrible professor. Has limited knowledge of how to use technology, never grades assignments on time, isn't clear on grading criteria, posts lectures that are completely useless, and brings politics into a class that has nothing do with them. CHOOSE ANOTHER PROFESSOR!
We had a lot to deal with and I appreciated her understanding. It was hard on everyone but I liked the books we read and just enjoyed the class.
this could have been dificult because it was all online but she made it fun. got back papers way before others i have had in the past. she regularly emailed us and her videos were great they provided a personal touch during this pandemic. i really liked her and the material was also pretty good. lots of reading
I thoroughly enjoyed the class. I really appreciated the books we used. She let us rewrite our work which really helped me. I am also glad she was understanding because sometimes things happen that are not in your control.
literally horrible. she never talked about what we actually needed to hear or learn during class, only about random things. never ever had grades in, unclear grading criteria, confusing. would definitely avoid if possible.
I really enjoyed the class. She let us do rewrites which helped me alot. She was also very funny and laid back and I liked that. Each day was something new. not boring. She also had us read a couple of good books. I would take her again.
Very nice lady, but she is a very tough grader. ALWAYS DO THE REWRITES. She likes to see you try and will reward you as long as you put in the effort. She does struggle with technology but she will get back to you with email. As long as you do the assignments with corrections, you should be able to pass.
Mrs. Bird was a great teacher. She explained what we were doing and was always willing to review our work. We had a chance to rewrite papers which really helped me. I loved the class and the good sense of humor.
She came in mid term to our class and I really enjoyed having her as our teacher. I liked the writing assignments and I thought she did a good job coming into a difficult situation. I really liked her.
Probably the worst prof I've ever had. She was very rude to her students. She has a flip phone and is very old school. She would yell at us whenever we touched our phones. She even yelled at me when I was texting my mom with an emergency. Never consistent. She would forget due dates then change them out of nowhere. Very bad at communicating. AWFUL!
She came into my class halfway through the semester. She was okay. She disliked phones which was kind of annoying. The assignments were easy, but she marked every little thing on your paper. All the assignments were papers, so if you like writing, I recommend her. Whenever I had questions, she responded very quickly. But overall, just okay.
I have enjoyed our class so far. She takes a lot of time to explain the work and that helps. Her lectures are interesting and she has a funny sense of humor. I also like the books we are using. I would suggest anyone to take her class.
I was not sure at first but that didn't last for long. I loved the books and really enjoyed all of the conversations we had in class. She knows her staff and is very understanding. I wish I could take her for another class.
She came into my class halfway through the semester, and is the best professor I've ever had. She doesn't like people using their phones but would make the classes so fun that you wouldn't even wanna reach for your phone. She had fun nicknames for a bunch of students, gives amazing feedback, and will peer edit your paper before you turn it in!
Really unclear grading criteria and feels like she just gives you a random grade. Several people in my class would turn nothing in and get an A while other people would turn something in and get a C-. Avoid if you can.
I really liked Mrs. Bird and the papers we wrote. I know they are going to help me on my new job. not sure about the textbook I liked her.
Great professor and has a really great sense of humor!
Just go by her grading criteria and you'll be fine. Overall chaotic class with an outdated course pack but easy-to-follow in-class instructions. Don't miss the days when there is a video because there will also likely be an in-class assignment about it.
Her writing you can't read at all. She is very strict, if you are late she has you buy TimBits but god forbid DON'T GET CHOCOLATE ONES!! She marks you down for every little thing. You have to read the book in between every assignment that have nothing to do with each other. Has to have everything in MLA doesn't matter if it is bullets MLA FORMAT.
I have enjoyed her class and the videos she has prepared. have found them helpful and relevant to what we are studying. i would take her again.
Would not recommend her at all! She's old and senile, still uses a flip phone. Buy the book, no problem. Get ready to talk with Pearsons(book company) for 2 hours only to find out the access code error is not Pearsons fault. No, instead it is an error on Ms. Birds end because she doesn't know how to send you the access code link.
She's old and probably should retire. I didn't like her very much at the start and found her annoying but her personality grew on me a little. But she assigns way too much homework. You're expected to do group work, book work and your own assignments all in a week and it's too much. Her grading is not clear and her handwriting is hard to read
I knew when I took this class we would be busy because it is a condensed class. have found the assigments so far pretty interesting and I enjoy her lectures. I have also found her to be extremely flexible with class and our work.
This professor should be avoided. Nothing she says is thorough or to anyone's understanding.Very old and knows nothing about technology. She will not use Elearning to help understand what work she expects, next class. She will simply type the title of things and expects YOU to know what's due when asked she has no idea what she asked you to do.
i have really enjoyed working with Mrs. Bird. she is very flexible when outside issues come up and i appreciate her understanding i also like the class content because it is required she makes it fun
I like she makes time for those who want or need help either in class our out.
Marianne Bird runs a structured class, but engaging with her methods pays off. Avoid phones, focus on the writing assignments, and use Unstuckstudy alongside the textbook - it's a great study aid. Rewrite essays to earn good grades.
Well the semester is over and I don't understand all these positive reviews. Prof Bird isn't clear with the grading criteria, she will mark you down points for dumb stuff like SPACING. She doesn't respond to an email. She doesn't understand computers so I'm not sure why she still has this job.the class isn't structured at all.AVOID AT ALL COST
this was a great class--just sorry i can't take her for another english class. it was fun.
