She's just married and only a year or so out of college--very down to earth, nice, is ALWAYS there if you need her. Easy grader too. :-) AWESOME.
Marianne makes learning fun. She is energetic, helpful, and extremely organized. She knows the material well and practices what she preaches. Eventhough she expects a lot out of students, she is definitely one of the best instructors at CU!!

AWESOME TEACHER! take her above anyone else for communications
Mrs. Glaser was very helpful. My original teacher hurt her back and she took over without even thinking. She took my class under her wing. She was very helpful and allowed me to learn so much about my major.
Mrs. Glaser is very "on top of things." She knows her stuff, and explains everything very well. As a lab instructor she is a good one to have, always willing to help. Always positive and upbeat.
get her if you can
Extremely organized and helpful. I think she's great at what she does. You should definately try and get her if you can.
good teacher, but better get on her good side right away. she plays favorites very very bad and is extremeley particular on grading. very harsh grader! could be a litte bit too much "on top of things" but i guess she's better than others....
Take this class with her. she makes a dull class pretty fun. she is extremely helpful with all the assignments and is a fairly easy grader.
i luv mrs. glaser...she made a boring class seem extremely exciting. i would recommend her to everyone. she pretty much gives everyone in the class a B...if u do well then you will get an A...not too bad to look at either ;-)
Great teacher. Hot. Really nice person. Cares so much about the class. Gives great advice. I suggest taking her
An awesome teacher, she is so upbeat and positive. You can give the worst speech but she will still have something good to say about it. Her grading is really fair too, and its definitely possible to get an A.
Very nice and approachable - needed for Public Speaking. Hard but fair - explains exactly what is expected. Fun and high energy - makes a high anxiety class more enjoyable.
Ms. Glaser is one of the best COMM teachers at Clemson! She brings enthusiasm and energy to the classroom and made a boring class interesting. She is nice, sweet, and very helpful. Attendance is mandatory and the quizzes and tests aren't too shabby. As long as you try and do what you are supposed to then you will get an A.
This class is a easy B but not an easy A. If you are not careful the work could pile up on you because everything is back to back in her class. She is not lenient at all towards anything.
Glaser is really a good professor. The only negative comment I would have is that if she knows what you are capable of (in a good way) she will grade you on that level. Not always a bad thing, but as an experienced speaker, I did get a C. Also she loves basketball players, just sayin'.
Very helpful teacher, she really wants you to do well in class especially if you want to do well. I was always nervous about public speaking but she makes it so much less stressful. Midterm/Final are easy, straight from definitions from the book. Take her for this class!!
Very easy and extremely helpful!
She is so wonderful! Like everyone else on the planet, I dreaded a public speaking course.. however, she is by FAR the most understanding teacher I've ever had. Truly wants her students to do well and does everything in her power to make sure that happens. Its a gen-ed requirement, guys, so you might as well get it out of the way. Take her!
Mrs. Glaser is a great professor! She cares about all of her students and makes lecture interesting. She does a great job of making you feel comfortable and not nervous about speaking.
super easy! she grades easy on your speeches as long as you cover everything in the outline she gives you! highly recommended!
She is my favorite professor I have ever had. Great class, you learn a lot and will become very comfortable with public speaking. I recommend everyone take her. She really cares about her students.
Mrs. Glaser is an awesome teacher and really loves what she does. She tries to make each class interesting and fun. She helps you feel comfortable with public speaking and as long as you study the book, you'll do fine on the exams. Loved her!
Mrs. Glaser is great! She tries her best to prepare you for the exams. And she has great enthusiasm and you can tell she loves what she does. Try to take notes before coming to class. The exams are really tricky. But that's because the department makes them. As long as you study, you should be fine. :)
super nice, easy to follow. definitely reccomend
Mrs. Glaser is great! She makes everything so easy to understand, relates it all back to her students, and keeps the class interesting. Book is definitely needed because she really doesn't talk much about everything in each chapter to read, but she elaborates on important stuff. So helpful to all her students and always willing to put in the effort
Great teacher. Very interesting to listen to. The tests are straight from the book and pretty common sense so as long as you read and study the material you should be fine. She'll also point out "star" questions, questions that are commonly on the exam as she doesn't make them.
Great teacher! She's always happy and loves teaching her subject. Full of fun examples and videos, really relates the material to your life. Tests are not bad, straight from the book. TAKE HER!
Super sweet teacher with such great intentions. She really cares about her subject and wants her students to be able to overcome any sort of dislike/anxiety they have for public speaking. Tests are straight from the book so make sure to read it. Helpful with knowing what is probably going to be on the tests.
Mrs. Glaser is a great teacher. She was very enthusiastic each and every day. Her stories are always funny. She tells you what will be on the exam. She is one of the sweetest people you will ever meet. She will always be available, even after you are done with her class. TAKE HER CLASS.
She is great! She kept the class interesting and she really loves teaching the course. The material is mostly self-explanatory but you should still study for the tests.
She's a very nice woman. The class is pretty easy, and requires less textbook reading and actual speech prep than 150 or 250 but for your speech you don't get to choose a topic you really care about. For the client based project I feel like she could have taken a bit more charge in organizing the class. still an easy A that's not too much work
She is an awesome teacher! Loved her. She is very nice in and outside of the classroom & always willing to help & give advice! Would definitely take her again.
She's so nice and helpful! Her class was actually pretty interesting, so paying attention wasn't hard. Generally just a great professor!
Very helpful if you want help. Her class is extremely easy and she knows how to teach. Make sure you read the textbook. Occasionally she gets annoyingly over-enthused with communications.
Mrs. Glaser is so great. I really wasn't that in to the material, but she makes it worthwhile. She uses relatable examples. She's probably one of the sweetest, most well-rounded teachers I've ever had. Highly recommend her.
It is a very easy class, but you will learn a lot. I did not enjoy working with a client all semester because we were given a topic that we have no knowledge of. I learned a lot about public speaking though and will use the skills I have learned.
Marianne is a wonderful teacher. Her lectures are interesting and interactive, considering she teaches communications. She is very willing to help and is quick and efficient with grading. Allows two skips for class and each time after is -10 points towards the final grade. Tests were rather difficult, but the final was easy. Great class & teacher.
Mrs. Glaser is a great teacher. She's also such a fun, loving person. She's so motherly and knows her stuff. However, she's not a pushover, which is good. Her class is very manageable and her teaching styles are helpful.
Mrs. Glaser is probably the best teacher that I have had at Clemson. She is such a good speaker, she is very clear, and she is so helpful. Mrs. Glaser is pretty funny and she genuinely cares about her students. If you have the opportunity, definitely take her.
Glazer is awesome, cares so much about her students and really will help you as much as she possibly can. Even does meetings over FaceTime and Skype if needed. Has a passion for Comm and it definitely shows. Absolutely take her if you can, you won't regret it!
Professor Glaser was an amazing professor, I would gladly take her again! She is very straight forward with the material and she is very knowledgeable if you have any questions about the material.
Everything said here so far is accurate of her. She is excited, passionate, and very knowledgeable, but I will give one warning: She requires attendance and doesn't allow laptops. If you're like me and just wanted COMM to be the class you skipped and boosted your GPA with then I would recommend a different professor without an attendance policy.
I highly recommend taking Glaser for comm. She is the sweetest professor I've ever had and somehow managed to make the class interesting. She really cares about her students and there are a lot of extra credit opportunities. She is really just the best.
Mrs. Glaser is the nicest college professor I have ever had. She has such a great heart and its clear to see through the way she interacts with students, faculty, etc. She is passionate about her job and really helpful as well. I can now say I will never forget the formal method for a speaking outline.
Mrs. Glaser is awesome! She is very passionate about teaching and wants you to succeed in her class. I would highly recommend her.
She is a wonderful teacher and genuinely concerned about her students and their well-being. She sincerely wants students to pass and learn the material but is also very fair with her grading. I would definitely recommend for Comm.
Mrs. Glaser is amazing! She is so helpful and she makes everything you need to know very clear. Her "star questions" are super helpful. She is really funny and sweet. She cares so much about communications and her students. Tests are not hard if you look over the notes and study guides. I would definitely take again. Best COMM 1500 professor!
Mrs. Glaser is awesome! Makes her class easy, but also gives you helpful knowledge about resumes and interviews for later in life. She is so funny and entertaining in class, and her tests are all vocab from the textbook. Take her!!
Marianne is one of the sweetest people I have met at Clemson. She is willing to help students in all areas of their education. She is a mom and really treats her students like one of her own. She knows her stuff and her lectures WILL help you get a good grade on the test! Would recommend!
Mrs. Glaser is a great professor. She truly cares about each student and shows that through her lectures. She shares personal stories to relate the content to you and make it easier to understand. The content isn't hard if you pay attention during class. She is by far the best professor I've had yet!
She's pretty funny and gets involved with the class.
She was an amazing professor. She really works hard to make you succeed. She is there for you when you need help, and she is incredibly kind. Reading is most definitely a must; you will not do well without reading. She gives several pieces of easy extra credit throughout the semester.
Mrs. Glaser is awesome! The class is super easy and she does an excellent job of explaining the material. Reading the textbook helps to clarify some of the topics she does not spend a lot of time on in class, but you can definitely pass the tests without reading.
Glaser is very easy with assignments and tests, passionate about teaching, and gives relaxed, yet very informative lectures. Even after I finished her class, she helped me apply for scholarships. Overall, just a fun, easy teacher to have.
I absolutely had Communications class. The idea of writing a speech is repugnant to me. However, professor Glaser is a ball of sunshine who is great at speaking, enthusiastic, energetic, and knows that material well. She also "doesn't believe in grades." You still have to do work and the lab is a bummer but she is one of my best profs ever
TAKE COMM 1500 WITH GLASER. Super nice and easy professor. She really cares about her students and will always help you if you need it. I never touched the book after I made a quizlet with all the terms. The tests are term based, not detailed material from the book. Would definitely take her again if i could.
She's very helpful and always wants her students to succeed in both the classroom and in life. She's a good woman and has her priorities in line. Wants everybody to succeed in life and in the classroom. She's also amazing at predicting questions to be on the course exams
Mrs. Glaser is a great professor and teacher. She makes it a point that all of her students know she's there if they need to talk to her about anything (whether it concerns life in general or grades and understanding of the material). She's truly a sweet woman and wishes nothing but the best for her students in and outside of her class.
She's so friendly and kind! She does her best to make her lectures entertaining and really cares about the material. Gives great real-life advice as well. Tests aren't too tough, just make sure you know at least one example for each concept/term. Make sure not to miss class too much since she passes around a sign-in attendance sheet.
Definitely take her class! Besides the actual material being easy, she also makes it impossible to fail. I bought the textbook and she recommends using it but you can find other ways around it if you don't want to spend the money. Glaser is the sweetest professor I've had and she really loves her students!
Gives great life advice and does a great job at pointing out what students should focus on for the exams. You'll always get positivity. Lab isn't too difficult either, but lecture will definitely bring your grade up. READ THE TEXTBOOK BEFORE EXAMS, but you can focus on the bolded terms and the summary at the end of each chapter.
Super nice, gives great examples
Mrs. Glaser is one of the best professors that I've had here at Clemson! She is one of the kindest, most caring people that I've ever met! It was a very easy class, but we actually learned relevant information. You need to make sure that you know vocabulary terms for the test.
Mrs. Glaser was an amazing professor to have. I loved that she was an excellent communicator and always tried her best to keep your attention, even though the lectures can get a little boring, mainly because of the content/ context. She really cares for her students.
Mrs. Glaser was my favorite professor this year. She was always super respectful of our time, posted the ppts on blackboard, and told us questions that would most likely be on the test. She even went with a student to argue for extra credit, she definitely seemed like she cared about us and our grades.
Great teacher! Pretty easy class, however she sometimes goes a little to fast during her lectures, but otherwise everything was good. Can only have two unexcused absences, so dont overly miss class. She says you need the textbook in her syllabus, but I did fine without it all semester. She also gives extra credit every so often. Highly recommend!
She is one of the best professors I've had. I would recommend renting the textbook, however, she does post study notes for every chapter before an exam. If you read over each document, then you should be fine on the exams.
Great prof! Really wants you to succeed, explains the material really well in class, so no need to read the textbook. Helpful outside of class, if you need it, the subject matter is very easy. Great class!
LOVE LOVE LOVE. I could listen to her lectures all day. She keeps you very entertained throughout the course. The material is interesting and not difficult to grasp. The tests are common exams but she's done it for so long she gives you key points which are super helpful while studying.
Glaser was one of the best teachers I've ever had. She genuinely cares about her students and knows how to treat people. The class is mostly vocab so if you understand the book terms, it won't be too bad. She gives extra credit opportunities and doesn't stress everyone out with homework. Overall, definitely take Glaser. An absolute sweetheart.
Glaser is an awesome teacher. Definitely take her if you have to take 1500. I made a 97 on the cumulative final with minimal studying. All you have to do is show up to class and take notes because she gives really good examples that help you remember the material. Also read the textbook before tests and youve got an A
Glaser was an great professor! Lectures are always straight forward. They say that you need to get the book, but you really don't. If you're good at taking notes or filling in the blanks and studying each of the chapter reviews she posts for the tests, you'll make an easy A.
Mandatory attendance even in huge classes. Otherwise, this lady is extremely nice and funny. Very straightforward class with multiple choice tests. To study, just know the vocab. Every question on every test is a hypothetical situation that requires you to know the vocab used in it. Also comes with a lab that is the true definition of cringe.
Mrs. Glaser is a great teacher!! She makes the grading criteria for the class very clear and if you do well in lab then you will succeed in the class. They say the textbook is required but you really don't need it. Study the students notes she posts online for the tests and you will do fine! Definitely one of the most caring professors at Clemson!
Professor Glaser is so sweet and caring. She keeps lectures on boring topics surprisingly interesting. The exams are department exams so she doesn't make them but they were super easy this semester. I assure you there is no better professor. Take Glaser!!!
She is a very sweet lady and her great personality makes class fun. Professor Glaser does her best to prepare you for each exam and she prepares you for things outside of your Comm class (helps prepare you for interviews, communicating with others, etc.) If you go to class and read the book as well, you'll be fine.
For how boring of a subject communication can be, Professor Glaser does an excellent job keeping it interesting. Tests were straightforward and she prepares you very well. Genuinely cares for her students. The most genuine professor I have had throughout my time here at Clemson University.
Mrs. Glaser is one of the sweetest teachers I've ever had. Her lectures are easy to follow, she gives tons of extra credit, and the tests are easy. I barely ever used the textbook and made a 98 in the class. She posts lecture slides and study guides on Canvas so use those. She only allows 2 absences so go to class. But overall she's amazing.
Professor Glaser is the best!!! She makes it very clear what you need to know for exams and if you listen you will do fantastic in the class. She helped me prepare for a couple interviews outside of class too and is super helpful for anything similar to that. She truly cares about her students and wants us to do well. I definitely recommend!!!
Great Professor! Clear on what she wants you to know, she gives easy exams, and she's always in a great mood. I definitely recommend her as professor.
You have to go to class-- after missing 2 you lose 10 points each time you skip-- but you don't need to pay attention. DO NOT BUY THE TEXTBOOK. I got A's on all the tests and I didn't take notes or read the textbook-- she gives you an old student's notes that literally have all the answers in it. She is a very sweet lady!
An amazing professor- she's been teaching communications classes for so long, she knows exactly what will be covered on the tests and the best way to teach it. Gives lots of extra credit, but is harsh on attendance.
By far the best professor Ive had at Clemson. She genuinely cares about her students and wants everyone to succeed in her class. I actually enjoyed COMM 2500 which is rare. 10/10 definitely recommend :)
She is an awesome person and professor. Really cares for her students and wants us to do good not only in her class but in life also. The class is a piece of cake and textbook is not necessary at all. Just study the students notes and you will make an easy A.
Marianne Glaser not only was teaching a course on communication, but she was teaching things that will help you in the real world. She cares about her students and it's obvious she loves what she does. She is one of my favorite professors I have had at Clemson.
Absolutely loved her. The class itself and the topics discussed are extremely boring but since it is a required course for a lot of people, we have to take it. She did an amazing job of at least making most topics interesting and funny. This class will be a breeze for any student. Just make sure to read the chapters and know VOCAB.
Very nice and understanding
One of the nicest people Ive ever met! Makes the class as fun as possible with many stories and gives students a lot of tips for life at Clemson and in the real world! Definitely recommend her if you need your COMM credit.
Mrs. Glaser was a passionate teacher. Her lectures were both interesting at times and boring other times. Tough on attendance and average difficulty on tests! Just read your book and go to class and you will succeed.
I absolutely LOVED Ms. Glaser. By far my favorite professor this semester. She lets you know exactly what to expect on exams. Her lectures are quite enjoyable. Reading is not terrible if you just get it done. She offers about 10 points of extra credit over the semester which is great. Don't skip class because after 2 times, its 10 points a day.
Mrs. Glaser was seriously my favorite professor this semester. She made lectures interesting and related it not only to the textbook, but to real life as well. She always had stories to go along with what we were learning. Super nice professor and enthusiastic about what she does!
If you are looking for an amazing Comm professor, this is the one!
Makes it very clear how to succeed and gives many opportunities for extra credit. Would definitely take again.
She's a good lecturer, even if the class is dull at times. The tests are really the only grades in the class, most of your grade will come from the associated lab taught by the TAs. There is a lot of vocab memorization in this class. Notecards will be your best friend. Just take the notes, pay attention to the star questions and you'll be fine.
So easy, just show up and remember what she says. There are star questions that she will go over and they will be on the tests. the tests are very easy and it is easy to get an A. The speeches are in a smaller class and the grade for those depends on your TA.
Glaser is super cool and funny. She is really good at letting you know exactly what is going to be expected and giving examples for all the vocab you need to know. Also she gets that this class probably isn't in your major and she respects that as long as you respect her too, lol.
She is awesome, best choice for Comm 1500. Tests are just the star questions and the vocab terms. she offers lots of extra credit too. She teaches information so that you can relate it to your real life and future career. She is also willing to meet with you out of class about things like interviews, resume, and more.
My favorite professor from my time at Clemson. You can truly tell she teaches because she loves doing it. Pay attention, take good notes, show up to class regularly, and read once in a while.
This class consists of 2 exams, 1 final, and which makes up 400 point out of the 1000. 600 points are in lab. This class was easy, and although sometimes boring, it was a GPA booster.
You only have three tests, and they are not hard just study. allowed up to two absences but if you don't miss any you get extra credit at the end. Lots of opportunity for extra credit in her class.
I love the way she teaches and engages with the class. She is a sweet lady and I believe that she really cares about her students' success. This class is very easy because she posts all her slides, as well as, extra study guides for every chapter. If you come to class and literally just listen, you will do great. She makes a boring class fun.
She is so sweet and caring! Easy class overall if you listen and review a little before the test youll make an A.
Mrs. Glaser is beyond wonderful. Very much a momma bear and even taking this class as a Junior it is still nice to have such a caring and genuine professor. She posted all the slides, had interesting and engaging lectures, and the material was not difficult. I can say I have personally applied a lot of the information she taught in class.
Hands down my favorite professor at Clemson. She is the kindest lady and really ties the material into real life. She even lectured on how to do well in job interviews (wasn't tested on but it helped me land a job). The class is super easy and as long as you pay a little bit of attention in class you'll be fine
Professor Glaser's lectures are well organized and informative. She is very caring and will help her students in any way she can. Most of your grade comes from the lab, but you will have 3 exams. The exams are pretty easy as long as you pay attention to "star" questions and study the student study guides she gives you.
Gives you 2pt extra credit to final grade if you have perfect attendance, really tries to make the class enjoyable. Bet prof for this course!! She is so kind and caring and you can go to her office hours and talk to her about anything, she is so amazing. Pay attention to "star questions" and you'll make an A, I never read the chapters and did fine!
Glaser is one of THE nicest professors. She does everything she can to help her students and her door is always open if you just want to talk. The tests are based on vocabulary & lecture key terms that she points out while providing an explanation about what it is. There is a required lab to practice skills but if you follow rubric, you're set.
Mrs Glaser is a total angel teacher who treats everyone so kindly like they are her own children. She is so caring and considerate of special circumstances. She genuinely loves what she does. Class with her is very enjoyable and you'll never find her in a bad mood. The Tests aren't hard but you do have to study a little for some special vocabulary.
The best teacher I have ever had. She is so inspirational, positive, and really cares about her students. I strongly recommend her for any class she teaches. I wish she taught all of my classes.
She is literally the best ever and I want to take literally any class with her. She cares so much about her students- this semester has been online she talked to her boss so we can exempt our exam! She has given us so many helpful resources not just for her class (for mental health too). She makes a huge effort to meet outside of class too!
Mrs. Glaser is one of the most compassionate professors Ive met. I would gladly have her again if I was able. The textbook is strongly recommended but you should be fine without it. Everyone needs a professed like Glaser!
Mrs. Glaser is the BEST professor I have ever had. She is kind & caring and she loves her students. She is passionate about mental health, so she is always moving back deadlines or helping students out. She is accessible outside of class. I didn't need my textbook, as she covers everything in lecture & lets you exempt the final if you have an A.
Glaser is the sweetest human ever and genuinely cares about all of her students so much. Especially this past semester it was fully online she was so clear and made class feel like it was in person as much as possible. She even set up office hours for students to help meet one another. Her class has been an easy a too as long as you turn things in
I used the textbook for the vocabulary, but many students are just fine without it! I'm also not a big lecture person, but she always kept the students engaged and entertained.
She is one of the most caring people I have ever met and cares about her students as people not just students. Her class is also very easy we have daily quizzes but they are common sense and the tests that go with this course were also easy as well. Definitely recommend her!
She is very understanding and laid back! She loves her students and gives lots of feedback/answers emails timely. Definitely recommend!
She is such an amazing professor, very kind and always there for her students. The class is so easy you don't really have to pay attention it's all common sense. You have a midterm, a final and daily content quizzes that are very easy. Most of your grade comes from the lab portion of the class, but the speeches are not too terrible.
I love Mrs. Glaser. She begins every class period by looking at the course schedule. The lectures follow the textbook and are accompanied by good lecture slides. Super easy class, easy A, really nice professor.
The sweetest professor ever. She is so caring about her students. Always has a super positive attitude for class and makes the learning super easy. She will do anything to help you succeed. Pay attention in class, and you'll have no problem getting an A.
The textbook is requested, but you really don't need to buy it because her slides are perfect. She is always very positive and always has a smile on her face. She cares about her students and is willing to provide extra credit. Take her if you can.
She was so caring and the best comm professor. She was easily accessible if you ever needed help and wanted to see you succeed beyond the classroom. Lectures could be boring but she tried to make them engaging. Not hard grading.
Most amazing professor at Clemson. Take her if you ever get the chance. She cares more than anything for her students and is willing to help with not just her class but any problem in life you may have. While she says to buy the textbook I have never once used it because she has outlined and they are absolutely perfect.
Mrs. Glaser is really top notch. She really cares about her students and building your confidence in communications. She is the only professor I have ever met that gave out her personal phone number to allow students to get very quick responses from her. There is plenty of work in her class but she grades fairly and is an excellent professor!!!
She's really sweet and the PowerPoint helps with notes. It's a pretty chill and easy class, and the exams are kinda common sense and she tells you what's gonna be on the exam.
Mrs. Glaser is the best professor I've had at Clemson. She is so nice and truly cares about her students. She wants you to do well. Her class is not difficult at all, as long as you pay attention you'll do fine. 10/10 recommend!!!!!!!!
Mrs. Glaser is a great choice for comm. 3 tests total and it is combined with comm lab. lectures are interesting and easy to understand. If you show up and participate she is lenient with you if you need to be absent more than 2x. attendance does matter quite a bit.
The best. professor. ever. Super understanding and kind, is really passionate about her work (but in a good way, not in a "im better than you and now i wont explain these concepts to you" way), and if you pay attention in class you will pass her class. She truly cares for the development of her students.
Mrs Glaser is so kind and caring and really makes lectures as interesting as possible. This class has a lab portion so the grade for lecture was strictly from 3 exams. They were all online and the final was open book, note, resource, etc.
Mrs. Glaser is one of the best professors I have ever had. She said herself that she loves her students like her own children. She cares more about your wellbeing as a student than how you do in the class. The class itself is super easy too
The main part of this class was the lab, but the class itself was incredibly easy. She gives star topics that will most likely be on the tests and the final was open note, open resource, and open book. The class was also points based so as long as you did well in the lab, you were granted basically an easy a.
Really sweet woman, wants you to pay attention in her class (which is hard because its a 1000s level gen ed). Down to earth and genuinely cares about her students. Two midterms and a final, which are all really easy. Would definitely recommend for COMM 1500.
Marianne is amazing, she was extremely caring, engaging, and had a lot of passion for the subject. The tests were super straightforward and memorization based, but a lot of it was just common sense. I personally rarely went to class and did fine but she does take attendance as part of the grade.
This is my favorite teacher!! We have had one exam so far(a midterm) and will have a final. Both are open notes and resources. Mrs. Glaser's lectures are actually interesting and aren't boring. But what sticks out is how much she cares about what she is doing and how much she cares about her students! We all love her!
Loved her class. You do have lots of in text questions but if you keep up with them its not too bad. She loves what she does and is really good at it. I would 1000% take another one of her classes. Especially because its a gened she made it as good as it could possibly be.
AMAZING. flexible. kind. cares about students. grades fairly.
Mrs. Glaser's class was the best she is the nicest person ever. The only assignments are textbook reading and questions due at the midterm and the final which are both open book and the only exams. At the end of every class she puts out a code for attendance so if you have someone send it to you its not really necessary to go.
She is the most kind and compassionate professor you will have. So incredibly sweet and does open note exams and an open note final. She loves talking about ways to improve your public speaking abilities and just life/struggles and stress in general.
If you are able to take her, do so immediately! She clearly cares about her students and their well-being outside of academic life. Her course is also very organized and she breaks down every assignment with what is to be expected. Love Mrs. Glaser!
She is so sweet and really cares about her students. The class is really easy and most of the points 70% come from the lab section. Online and open note final and midterm.
Professor Glaser is one of my FAVORITE professors at Clemson. I was a freshman this year so obviously coming to college was super scary and hard, but she made the transition so much better. We only had a mid-term and a final exam (both open note and open resource) and she gave SO MUCH extra credit. Absolutely take her, she is the best!!!
Ms. Glaser is AMAZING!! She's engaging in her lectures and gives off a warm presence in the classroom. She really understands where us students come from, so it's easy to talk to her & participate in class. She's so accessible outside of class & she gives SO much extra credit. Take her if you can, she's awesome!!
Professor Glaser is the best! She is so sweet and kind. She truly wants all of her students to succeed. As long as you show up to class, you will do good in this class.
mrs. glaser gives wonderful lectures and is extremely kind, caring & willing to work with you. the tests off the lectures are extremely easy (open book) & the hard part of this class is the lab. writing & giving speeches can be overwhelming but she is very available and wants to help you; even if your ta is bad she is a great resource.
Fantastic. You can tell she really cares about the material and her students. Very easy and effective homework and materials. You will not regret taking this teacher. Can not praise this teacher enough.
I cannot recommend Mrs. Glaser enough. She genuinely cares about her students so much and keeps lectures entertaining and engaging. She taught me so much about Clemson outside of Comm and wants to help everyone succeed. Midterm and Final were both open note and she gives so much extra credit but trust me you really don't even need it
The best. Super kind and helpful, not only just about Comm. Truly the kindest soul.
best/easiest class. book online. lecture slides posted.takes attendance but cares abt lectures & gives examples so going to class is worth it. can do well if don't pay attention bc exams are online, open book, open note.givestons of resources. genuinely cares abt students & wants to help them succeed. also helpful w absences, excuses & make-up.
This lady is a literal saint. Exams are open book/open resources. She is very understanding when it comes to excused absences. She is willing to bend over backwards for her students. Did not know a college professor could be as kind as she is. Clemson made a good decision hiring her. TAKE HER FOR AN EASY A.
This class is literally the easiest A+ you will ever make. The teacher is the kindest and sweetest soul on the earth! She understands mental health days and she is so communicative! Best class and professor ever! No need for notes because exams are open notes and online. This class has to have a lab with it but its also easy as long as you prepare!
one of my favorite professors i've had at Clemson. she is so caring and really cares about the topics she teaches. 100% take her class
This class is very easy, and they make it very clear what you are being graded on. There are 5 speeches, 4 individual and 1 group, that you give in your lab. They are graded very fairly and as long as you do the bare minimum you are guaranteed an A. The exams are open note/book and out of class.
I loved her as a professor. Her class was extremely easy as it is only a 1000 level course. She is incredibly helpful out of class. Her lectures are genuinely interesting and informative as she is very into the topics. If you can take her, please do.
Easy class as long as you participate. She is a great professor and makes the lectures fun. Attendance is mandatory but it is not terrible.
Prof. Glaser is a great public speaker, making her lectures easy to follow and listen to. Open book, open note. Super accessible, she will always answer and help you out. Only 2 unexcused absences so really easy to pass if you show up.
AMAZING. Literally the sweetest woman. No exams, only a final and midterm that are both open book and resource. Grades are heavily lab based so that really depends on TA. Is so open to helping students. She recognizes that the class is not the most interesting so encourages class participation and uses great examples. Can't recommend her enough!!!
Prof. Glaser's class is a breeze - open book, open note exams and engaging lectures make it an easy A. The textbook is optional, but attending class is worth it. Unstuck AI is a great study tool to prep for this course.
An AMAZING professor. I would take her for any class I could. Her class is a very easy general course. No exams, just a midterm and final both taken outside of class. You get 2 unexcused absences for both lecture and lab. I would recommend taking the lab before your lecture time instead of after because lab gets canceled often.
I LOVE THIS LADY. She is so sweet and so funny. She will work with you but is still kind of strict. She is so great and offers extra credit.
she is so sweet i adore her. her class is very easy and all exams are open book
Extremely easy class. Take her if you can.
Mrs. Glaser is an amazing professor who truly cares about her students. She wants you to succeed in and outside of class and notes that her comm 1500 course should not be hard. She offers many extra credit opportunities and there is not a ton of homework but the homework that is assigned is the main part of your grade. The HW is very easy tho.
TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. She is an amazing professor and she truly cares about her students. She is a very good communicator and make sure her students understand the concepts that are going to be on the exams. Homework is really easy and her exams are open note.
Marianne Glaser genuinely cares about her students and how you do in the class. It's an easy A but she still gives multiple extra credit opportunities throughout the semester. Her lectures are easy to understand and she tries to make it interesting. Overall one of the best professors ever.
Mrs. Glaser is very nice and engages students during lectures, but the attendance policy is extremely strict, and the lectures feel long, often covering material already covered on TopHat. Despite this, she is always willing to help, answers emails promptly, and offers extra credit opportunities, which is appreciated.
Professor Glaser is a great teacher. She really cares about her students and is always willing to help. Her lectures can be a little bit boring but, you will definitely learn new things about communication skills! She does offer extra credit, and her exams are open book, and you can take them at home!
Take Ms. Glaser if you can! She truly cares about her students and wants everyone to succeed. You'll give speeches in lab. They can be tricky at times but your TA and Ms. Glaser will help you whenever you ask. It's a point based class and I got enough points where I didn't even have to take the final. I recommend taking her.
Mrs. Glaser is a wonderful professor who really cares about her students. She makes the lectures relatable and entertaining even though the material might be self explanatory. I would definitely recommend her for COMM1500.
Professor Glaser clearly cared about her students! Her method of teaching was engaging, effective, and entertaining.
You know a professor is good when class feels like home. She's incredibly relatable, very social, and meets you at any point of your standing with public speaking. You may have to participate in class, but it's VERY low pressure. One speech (in front of 12 ppl) and a final exam are the two main deliverables. One lecture a week, and loved the class!
She is amazing! Super caring, knowledgeable, and tries to keep the class engaged. Class is easy in the lecture, and she explains the speeches well. The class is set up for your success, definitely an easy A.
She knows this is an easy class, and her personality and engagement during lecture exemplify this. She explains concepts and the requirements for the 5 speeches clearly, and reveals some of the material that will be on the midterm and final. She is a great person and professor, and I highly recommend using her as a resource outside of this class.
very engaging
I love Ms. Glaser! She was such a good teacher. There was no midterm or final for her class. There were weekly assignments that look under 20 minutes to complete. You don't really have to pay attention in lecture to do well, just show up. It is an easy A as long as you do the weekly assignments. I would definitely take this class again.
Super easy A and she knows it. My only complaint is that you only get one absence from lecture without serious points being deducted from your grade. It's hard to want to show up to class to listen to very obvious information. Her making you close your computer throughout lecture is also mildly annoying.
Lecture portion is relatable and she makes a point to keep us engaged. Grading is good as long as you prepare for your speech well and keep up with the online homework, which is super easy! Love her.
Mrs. Glaser is incredibly kind and informative. Her lectures are engaging, the content is easy to understand and master, and having assignments count for exam grades through the semester makes learning the content easier and less stressful. Yes, the information seems a little obvious at times, but she really does want her students to succeed.
Mrs. Glasier is awesome! Definitely take her if you can; she is very caring, accommodating, accessible, and keeps her lectures engaging and relatable to students.
She's awesome! Super easy class if you just do your work.
A very nice teacher, but a boring class. Has attention questions every day. Easy A, but need to do well in lab and do all the assignments
