She is a nice lady but makes a class that should be an easy A seem like an advanced level course. Tons of quizzes not to mention if you have an excused sickness or activity she doesn't excuse you for that days class. For ex. if u miss an in class quiz for your excused reason, she says "this quiz will just be one of the ones you drop"

She is a nice lady but is incompetent. Makes a class that should be a easy B and little work A into her own personal hell. Grades touch, doesn't actually teach, no instructions on projects, not well respected by students. As a senior level class I should not be stressing nearly as hard over this class to make a C. The teacher has too many flaws.

If I could give her a 0 I would. She is a very nice lady but yet so ruthless and savage. She gives little to no direction on a project that is a HUGE part of your grade. Save yourself and take it online or see if it is offered by someone else.

HG seems nice and positive but she makes easy material way harder than it should be. She does not explain material well at all. She also did not explain how to do our final project at all which is worth a huge portion of our grade. The tests are written by her and use vocabulary that most have never even heard. She makes an easy class way harder.

Mrs. MHG was a bad professor. I took this class instead of Accounting 2, but I honestly could've done better in accounting. She never makes it clear what is on the test, gives pop quizes over her boring lectures, and offers little to no extra credit. Our final is over 15 chapters. She is providing us with NO review and no help. So wish me luck..

Would not recommend this teacher at all. She makes what should be a simple and interesting class very boring and unnecessarily difficult. She seems nice but can be very rude and passive aggressive. This is the only class I dreaded going to this semester. Should've been and easy A, but I think a lot of us struggled due to her poor teaching.

She is nice and all, but the way she teaches is terrible. It isn't a fun class to be in, I dreaded every day I was in class. She makes the class a lot harder than it has to be.

This was quite possibly the worst class I have taken at the University. Quizzes were unreasonably specific at times and I learned next to nothing in the in-person portion of the class. We did quizzes and in-class assignments (busy work) while she graded our quizzes, then were released 30 minutes early and were unprepared for tests.

If I could give HG a zero, I most definitely would. There is a group project throughout the semester that she gives you ZERO instructions on. There is no rubric on this project and on the work days she doesn't show up. Every time we have guest speakers she also doesn't show up. I hate this class and a I hate her as a teacher. DO NOT TAKE HER.

Professor HG is a very difficult Professor to connect with. She will dock points for missing daily quizzes, but she herself missed more than most students. She left us in the dark for a study session she last minute cancelled on us at 7am. Shes uses a condescending tone when speaking to all students. AVOID HER AT ALL COSTS!

Tests are worth 60% of your grade. in class lectures aren't relevant to the tests. Overall class is way harder than it should be. Attendance adds up to little to nothing.

Worst class at the University of Arkansas. Her test are so hard, and the lectures do not help at all. She gives quizzes after every chapter and she is so boring to listen to. Try to avoid her as much as possible if you can. I worked hard and ended with a C. If it wasn't for the extra credit I would be failing this class.

Professor Halvorsen was honestly one of the worst teachers I have had. She does not have the personality to be a teacher. She misses class and review sessions. Also, a group project with little to no instruction then is rude about your performance with her notorious smirk. We were all left blindsided by the whole course.

Vocab lecture, every day. With a quiz, every day. The two are roughly correlated and that's about it. The lectures do not translate into tests well and neither do the quizzes. Take the free points from the weekly stuff she assigns or it'll be difficult to do well. She gives out candy, which is nice. Really not a great teacher though stay away.

Dr. Marie Halvorsen-Ganepola, is the worst professor. First off, her teaching style was atrocious where as rather than engaging with the class she would read slides unless it came to jeopardy test preparation which did not help with the test in any way. her feedback is absolutely terrible. i wish i had more characters to really get into details.

Though she clearly understands the material she will cancel classes somedays to attend lectures done about other things. It was more painful then I could imagine to complete her final project when there is barely any rubric to go off of. It is also hard to get her on the phone if there is a problem with your final exam. I would say stay away.

Dr. Marie Halvorsen-Ganepola, is the worst professor. She has been the worst teacher I have ever had in my years of schooling. Her lectures are some of the worst I have ever heard and they are very long and dragged out. DO NOT TAKE HER

She makes it seem like she is organized and upfront with material, but she is not. She plays a movie or video 9/10 times in class then tests us over stuff we never learned. A student asked her about the group project a few weeks in and she never explained it at all and a week before it was due.

All you do is watch movies you've already seen before while she does nothing behind her desk. When she lectures it barely makes sense and most of the information is self-explanatory until you get to the test, and it looks nothing like the work you've been doing in the class.

Do not take this teacher. Out of all the Managing People classes her tests and quizzes are the hardest.

Professor H-G is not a good professor. Although she may be a nice woman, she does not know how to accurately prepare her students for the exams. She will test you over concepts that were mentioned one time in class. The exams are not easy in the slightest, and there are massive curves on every one. This is not a hard class, she just isn't great.

Her lectures are so incredibly boring but attendance is mandatory. There is a group project throughout the entire semester that she gives you hardly any information on. She provides a rubric in blackboard but she grades the presentation with a completely different rubric. The tests are also difficult. I would suggest taking any other professor.

Lectures do not correspond to anything that is on the test. She puts on clips of tv shows and skims over topics that are tested on. The tests are all application questions, she never goes over how to apply them to situations.

Test questions have up to 8 answer choices with misleading questions that make you second guess yourself. Other teachers in this course have the standard 4 to 5 answer choices not select all that apply on every question

Unnecessarily difficult for a class that teaches you common sense. Exams are extremely hard for no reason. HW and lectures don't line up with the exam questions she makes. Throws up movies half the time that dont help with the exams (Attendance necessary) No exam review, just a list of broad topics she expects us to fully understand.

She just reads off of the slides and plays movies. The tests are directly off the slides but there's too much information and she doesn't teach at all. She's not tech savvy and requires lock down browser but if you download it will break your computer. She is very slow and attendance is graded randomly. Gets proctors for tests.

Do yourself a favor and take anyone else.

If you have her for managing people, drop her instantly. By far the worst professor I have had here. Takes attendance twice a class, claims tests are multiple choice but have 8 different choices designed to trick/make you second guess. This professor is very sweet but don't be fooled, her class is a pain. She said at the beginning that she would take attendance 12 times the whole semester, no. She took it every class.Very long boring irrelevant lectures. Tests literally had 8 possible answer choices. Like what. This class should be easy but it was very hard for me. Save yourself.

The actual course is a lot of reading. Get ready to do McGraw Hill smart book assignments that can take almost 2 hours. Exams are downright confusing and literally will confuse even the best students. I was forced to take her due to my generated schedule for first semester. She also said she wouldn't take attendance every class, but she did.

I would not take another class by her again. Overall the coarse should be easy but it is not. The homework assignments will take hours each week. She seems to always be distracted in class and does not give any prep or tips what so ever for the exams.

She is a lovely person, but her class is absolutely awful. Extremely disorganized, the tests are ridiculous and will try to confuse you with the answer choices. Gives no help as to what you should study and overall is unnecessarily difficult.

This class is so boring. Nothing about it is engaging and she reads off the slides. She takes attendance every class and assigns long smartbooks every week. If you take her you will fail. She doesn't really teach you anything and you will struggle a lot. Avoid the headache and take someone else!

Nice lady, terrible teacher. She will explain a "group simulation" briefly at the beginning of the semester and then will you give you no other explanation for 16 weeks. At the end of the semester she will fail you on the simulation for unknown reasons. She doesn't care about you, or your grade. DO NOT TAKE.

She's not a good teacher. She is boring and reads off a slideshow every day. We had a semester-long 200-point simulation, and she didn't put the grade for it until 2 hours before the final exam... Students with other professors ended with an A in the class because this course shouldn't be that hard, but I guess with her it is... Do not take her.
