Test are extremly hard. Doesn't test what she goes over in class.
If you want to learn in her class go to her office, she is very helpful one on one.
Do not take this professor. Only 5 out of 30 passed her class. Her tests are not on anything she goes over in class.
Don't even register into her class. She is a copy cat. Don't think she even know Calculas much.

She's horrible. Her method of 'learning' is repetition, not knowledge. Her tests are nothing like her class work and she is more than glad to berate you for questions -- even when she's made a mistake. Worst math teacher I've ever had.
Hell! If you want to learn one way, than have homework a totally different way, than be tested on another way completly, than by all means go ahead and take her! If you like to be taught the same way as the tests and hw than i would take someone else... anybody else. Don't waste your money and time.
Clearified much in her office. The test's are hard. If she see's that you are tring to learn the material, she will not let you fail.
She doesn't always seem to know exactly what shes talking about, and frequently makes mistakes. If you correct her, response depends on her mood. Favoratism and lack of patience clearly evident. Usually shes personally a nice lady, and accepts humor, but extremely hard class.
Was my first college class and thought she was great. Easily got and A and would definitly take her again.

She will help you if you ask. She is kind and patient, but has a tendency to confuse her students. The extra credit is cool and helps a lot. Anyone that has a decent work ethic will get an A. If you are lazy, you will not. That simple.

Not present during test time, sat in her office. Very willing to help anyone. Has a southern drawl which is cute. She teaches verbatim the book, though.
she is horrible. she gave out tests(15mins)before class started, but collected them right when class ended. She led alot of people to believe they could pass when they had no chance at all. I got 44% then a 27% on tests.(mathlab=home) She still kept telling me i had a chance,it was BS. my class had 40 kids, all dropped except 5. Three people passed

She is the worst teacher I have ever had all she does is read examples from the book. I am extreemly good at math and I could not pass her tests. I am taking this class with another teacher and I have the HIGHEST grade in my class. Oh she also is unfair twords women she grades men less harshly.

she's a great instructor. she's very acknowledge on this subject. it is true that she's easily distract but she really want her students to pass. she's very helful. she works with student on one-to-one basis to help them understand the subject clearly.

I have a 3.9-4.0 GPA and Math is usually my easiest subject, so most of the time I could follow what she tried to teach, but those who have a problem understanding math had a problem understanding her. She seemed to have trouble explaining concepts to those who had problems. (She mostly read from book.)And the tests were harder than she said.

I have taken this class before and passed it with an A, so i took again because i needed one more math class to get my degree. It was suppost to be an easy A for me, but this teacher doesn't teach you, she leaves you out in the dark. We had like 30 people in the class in the beginning, now we have like 10 people-averaging C's. SHE SUCKS
she is the most confusing teacher i have ever taken. my class would sit there and tell her we didn't understand what she told us, then she would just ignore us and basically say she didn;t have time. she would try to explain a h.w. problem and confuse us even more the students would have to help her understand. I didn't find her all that confusing, she her only problem is that she assumes you know what she is talking about. i made several attemps to go to her for help and she just brused me off. i don;t recommend taking her. take Janette Campbell for stat's.....she is wonderful

AWFUL!! She's sloppy in her lectures and doesn't do many examples on the board. You ask her a question and she starts to shout. She gets EASILY frustrated. It's easy to make conversation with but not very good at teaching. I suggest taking another stats. Prof.

This professor is AMAZING!! She takes the time to teach although the tests are 5 to 6 questions the class prior she tells you whats going to be on it so there are no surprises! She is great and i recommend you take her if you would rather listen to a calm, clear, and overall fun teacher!

This class was a struggle. And to give you some perspective, i completed calculus prior to this liberal arts math course. Everything is straight from the book. She seems to know the subject matter, but makes so many little mistakes and follows through with them its very likely you will learn the wrong things. Goodluck

If you dont understand how to do a problem she looks at you like youre some sort of idiot and if you ask her to write something, like an example on the board she wont do it, or does it with an attitude. If you have trouble in math, stay FAR AWAY !!! I personally have trouble in math and got so discouraged with her teaching i just stopped coming to class all together. She just reads right from the book and really doesnt explain or show you how to work out the problems. So i would NOT recommend taking her.

I was always a horrible math student UNTIL I had Langston now I am an A+ student (2 classes with her). She is patient, calm, meticulous in explaining the solutions, answers all questions. All tests are exactly like the homework. Raise your a lot and drill your homework until you can do it in your sleep. Tests are just like the homework!!!
If you have difficulty with understanding math in the simplis terms, but want to strive for the effort of doing well. This is a wonderful teacher to have! I previously failed Liberal Arts Math by another teacher! But it's so easy to understand, plus she encourages questions and won't leave anyone behind!

Terrible, i got an A in Pre-calc, an A in AP calc in high school and yet i dropped her class with a B. Doesn't tech anything and marked my correct answers wrong because I used the wrong "technique", so i dropped the course...take anyone else.
Get the book and don't even show up to class until test day and you'll be as prepared as if you sat through her useless lectures. All she does is read from the book and get angry when you ask her a question. Makes lots of mistakes, gets angry when corrected.Got an A but I had taken ap calc in hs. avoid her at all costs!

Trig is a hard course 2 begin w/ & every1 told me i would wanna commit suicide after this class. this prof is not that helpful but i liked her. she was very nice and told us EXACTLY whats on each test prior to it. u must study hard n do all the problems in the book over n over till u can do it in ur sleep to do well on tests. i got a B+

i actually really liked her! she adjusted her lecture style after the class had trouble with the first 2 tests. we ended up doing a lot more partnering up in class. she genuinely wants her students to pass but she won't baby you either. i strongly recommend u take her for calculus!
This is the worst Mathematics teacher at LakeWOrth PBCC. Please take her if you want a D or an F on your transcript and if you want to waste both money and time. Going to mathlab will not benefit you much. Her tests are ridiculous. She's a boring teacher and has a monotone voice. You will spend more time snoozing in her class than studying.

Her tests are very hard. You have to practice your homework over and over. She also gives examples on the tests that were not assigned for homework, so you have to study all the problems even the even ones.
overall good. Attendance is never taken, so i loved that. She assigns HW but never collects it and your grade is only from your tests, which are very short and clear. she goes over the material plenty of times in class before it. and your exam is to retake your lowest test, which if you have an A, you dont take it.

I'm terrible at math in general, but this is a pretty easy course. At first I didn't like Ms. Langston's teaching (seemed a little impatient) but I got use to it and ended up learning a lot. Would recommend.
her class isnt too hard. tests are an average of 7 questions. she takes pride in giving A students a B. she takes points off of tests for stupid things. she took 10% off one of my tests for rounding to 2 decimal places instead of 4. she took points off another test for not labeling my X and Y axis on a graph. those points cost me an A for the class
Professor Langston is very helpful. She always come early in the morning for those people with last-minute questions. Her questions are short (about 7 questions), therefore one question will be worth more points. I will recommend you to do your homework because she takes questions from your homework and put them on the test. She is a great teacher!

She is the best Pre calc teacher i have ever had!! Yes you have to apply yourself but she is very fair and will not move on unless everyone understands. test are short and you have to prepare with studying but the questions are always right from the homework.
I took her on statistic honor. She explain things well, clearly. Homework is optional, but do it for practice. Test is similar with homework. Study and you will get on. Easy class. She's funny though. =]
Tough, but good and fair. Definitely picks difficult questions for her tests, but this makes sure you know it completely. Not an easy A. I dunno how people are rating her helpfulness so low, she offers one on one help in her office when she doesn't have class. Pretty helpful if you ask me.
Prof. Langston is an amazing! I've taken her for pre-calc and trig. Her tests are straight from the homework, she'll never try to trick you & she tells you what will be on the test. She is by no means easy, she explains everything thoroughly but make sure you listen to every word she says. She is more than willing to help a student after/b4 class.
Professor Langston is amazing. She is sarcastic but helpful. She will test on the homework, and is extremely clear on what she is testing you on. She teaches what you minimally need to know for the class. You need a textbook. She will openly mock you if you do not pay attention or if you do not do the homework.
Her class is hard and it is basically self teaching yourself to get a good grade.Her tests are hard and test review would not help much.Most importantl you wont get points by solving a problem in your way rather she expects you to do the problem in her way.Does not credit any points until your answer are correct.

She only does the easy questions from the hw or examples from the textbook. Then when she does do a hard problem (singular she will only do one) she does half of the problem. The math lab does the hw different from her. If you go to her office she will help you with some of your questions but she will make sarcastic remarks.

She wasn't very friendly. Unforgiving. Very strict. The only thing that she was good at was telling exactly what kind of subject areas were going to be on the exam and that was it. I wouldn't recommend her to anyone. You can earn an A in her class but good luck....
The class isn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be. She only grades tests and they're not that long, only like 10 questions. As long as you study and dothe homework and remember the methods of how to do the problems you should have no problem passing. The ones that complained had no reason to, just laziness.
One of the worst teachers in PBSC. For the lecture, she just rewrites the exact same examples in the book and assigns homework. She is fair and impartial. She is friendly only with the people who do well in her class. Don't take her if you do no expect to learn LITERALLY everything yourself.

Please do NOT take her. She seems like a sweet person but I would go to math lab EVERY single day for three hours and i stilled didnt pass. You will regret taking her. Worst teaching methods you will ever deal with. You will have to teach stats yourself. Math lab tutors have nothing positive to say about her either except to drop. If she is the last professor to pick for your schedule wait another semester there's no point to wasting your time and money and GPA on this professor.

The tests in this class are killer. There's an average of 12 questions so if you miss two you're already down to a B. You have to be willing to over study and work a lot just to pass this class.
Worst teacher I have ever had. Teaches completely different than the book. She is extremely confusing when she teaches and WILL NOT Help you directly if you don't understand problems she gives During class. She will make the whole class go to the one person who correctly answers the question to have that person teach you the steps while she sits.

I heard stories about her teaching but they were clearly all wrong. She refuses to move onto another subject if another student doesn't understand. She gives HW but doesn't collect it. That's the trick. People don't do the homework and don't realize that the tests are the Hallmar don't do the homework and don't realize that the tests are the HW
I love this teacher. If i could take her for every math class i needed i sure would!!!! she is always available to help you whenever. She will not move on to the next subject if you do not understand the previous one. Excellent Teacher. She does not collect HW so you have to know self discipline and study on your own for the tests.

Biggest waste of my time. Her explanations are awful. So awful in fact, I was forced to learn everything out of the book. The book is very hard to understand. As someone who's taken the "honors" version in high school, it would take me 3 hrs a ch, and an 1 hr 30 min for notes, and 3 hrs of problems. If you love your family, take anyone else.
Unless you know a thing or two about statistics before entering this class, be prepared to feel completely lost until the last 3 weeks of the course. She doesn't take attendance, but if you skip class you will 100% fail. Also, she gives hw, but doesn't grade it. If you don't do it though you probably won't pass any of her tests.
Please do not take her. Statistics should NOT be this hard. I would study for only her class ONLY because her tests were so short. The longest test was 5 ?'s. You would have to teach yourself because she would just vaguely talk about the topic and in the same day she would be done with 6 sections & the following day would be test. Horrible class.
I had to withdraw because I kept getting F's on her tests. I would do all the homework multiple times to study too. The second test I received from her, she told me I did better, but I got a 68%. If you can't teach yourself, do not take her!
If you take her class, be ready to spend a lot of time in the math lab. She does not finish problems on the board and when you have questions, she tells you to ask your neighbor. Her test are only a handful of problems all worth different amounts. She also does not collect homework.
Statistics should not be this hard, the way she explains topics is so complicated and she ended up skipping a lot of material. Her tests are nothing like the homework or class lectures and she is no where near to being fair on grading tests. She speaks very low almost quiet at times. She has an attitude.
She never finishes her problems and always tells you to either look over what you did, or ask the person next to you. Her explanations of problems are awful too (along with cursive everything) - expecting you to write down minute details on your own test without putting it in her own work half the time. I used the texted book instead in the end.

Please, if you have any other professor options for this class, take those instead! Not only does she not post grades until the last day of the semester, but she is also very picky about how she grades. She expects you to have full knowledge of this class on day one and will make fun of you if you ask any questions.
Terrible teacher, doesnt know how to explain, and would tell students to visit the math lab. Starts a problem and wouldnt finish it, will take points off for everything. Couldnt adapt correctly to online instruction, and wouldnt answer via email. She uses a TEXTBOOK, but not the mymathlab for hw. DO NOT TAKE HER, unless u are good with math!!!!
Im not goin to lie, she honestly can not teach. If you completely dont understand something she will ask you what/ why u dont understand. Say you dont know 1+2+3, she will literally be like ok whats 1+2+3, as if you didnt jus tell her that you dont know!! She doesnt know how to grade tests for multiple reasons. Overall 10/10 DONT RECOMMEND.
Professor Langston only grades Exams and theres 5-6 exams throughout the semester. she assigns homework but doesnt grade. no extra credit is given if you are failing also she doesnt respond to emails sent by students. Not a very helpful professor. Also the lectures are hard to follow. Not recommended.
okay professor, i passed so im happy. if youre good at math like i am she should be easy but if you struggle with math take another professor. she doesn't teach in depth (expects you to know the material after explaining it once) . i understood the topics well so i did study groups with my classmates before test to make sure we all understood.
At the beginning of the semester, she booted me out of class! yes kicked me out!! for no reason at all but her lack of attentiveness! She kicked me out because for 3 consecutive classes she did see I was present... this already had got me so far behind. She takes forever to answer emails and gets mad when you don't understand a concept and ask?
Tests are graded extremely harshly and only contain 5-7 questions max, tests are the only things graded in the course. If you need help you better hope you sit by someone who understands the material, enforces weird answering formats, and is way too nitpicky on grading. Hardest class I've taken for all the wrong reasons!
Gives homework but doesn't grade it. She only grades tests/exams Pretty much sets you up to fail that or she's just collecting a check because she don't care if you fail or not. No extra credit either.
I have never failed a course until this one where I had to with a drawl. please DO NOT take this class unless you're a math mastermind. she does not explain what so ever and tests are difficult due to you having to do the work her way or not passing whether it was right or wrong.
very friendly, never get tired to explain same answers if a student asked to do. clearly explain every single math problem.
If youre a person that needs to be taught every single step in detail, this isnt the teacher for you. I loved her because everything was short and straight to the point, I got multiple 100s on the tests. Also, the only grades she puts in are test grades which are after every chapter so make sure to attend class and pay attention.
She only grades your tests and won't accept any homework, so if you're someone who struggles with math take another professor and in class experience. Once you take your first test and didn't do good that's what you get, and there's nothing to get your grade up unless you test better on the next text. NO EXTRA CREDIT, NO HOMEWORK.
Professor Langston is fair. She cares but you HAVE to show that you can help yourself first. I learned a valuable lesson taking her class that if your not in it from the VERY beginning, your not gonna pass. I passed by the hair of my chin because I was lazy in the beginning, but I took initiative and went to tutoring. She isn't perfect, but who is?
Best professor I've had in Palm Beach State college. Really good at explaining things, answers questions without getting annoyed, lectures at a good pace. Guaranteed A or B if you put in effort and study. On top of that she is charming, friendly, and gives great college advice. Highly recommend.
Ms.Langston was awesome, her class was fun and easy, and she only used a textbook to assign small amounts of HW and talk about key points. She talked with us and ensured we understood; other comments saying she was not good were wrong, she cared deeply, and my grade shows it. Plz take her she's amazing! THANK U, MS. LANGSTON!
Y'all do not take her unless you understand math really REALLY well, she uses a textbook and she's all over the place, she is very nitpicky on how to do her problems her way not the books way, gives hw but doesn't grade it and no extra credit, she literally said during one lecture " y'all can do it right, I'm just take a rest" -_-
Very tough grader. Only 5 tests in the semester no other work counted. No homework grades nothing. So if you do bad on those 5 tests you can't pass. She is nice and her study guides are exactly the same as the test.

Her class is pretty easy, but she doesn't accept being wrong. She gave me a 0 on tests because I asked her to grade my second test again. I emailed her trying to solve my situation with her, but she didn't care, I went to her supervisor and explained everything. I almost failed this class because she didn't want to accept she was wrong.
Professor unorganized, inconsistent. Does not show how she wants steps to be written on test but marks off if steps are not written. Gets problems incorrect on the board. Students are told to teach each other more than teaching herself. Test reviews are done in student groups only. She never goes over homework.Spends alot of time on her cellphone.

Only grades tests, assigns homwork but does not grade it. does not explain proper procedures to solve a mathematical equation and looks at you as if you've grown three heads if you ask her to help you.
