What did I just learn this semester? After being excited about taking this class..she killed it. I don't understand how someone could talk so monotone for so long. Worst of all she couldn't answer a lot of our classes questions.

Seems like she knows her stuff, but the way she explains it, hard to understand. Expects everyone know the vocabulary. I think that an introductory class should be an easy, fun class, but she makes it complicated. You can only pass this class doing your assignments on time and take notes. Good luck!

She is sweet & hard working. She gives out alot of work but everything is in the outlines & text. Her tests are MC & some short essay Q's. All she asks is that you take notes, turn in assignments on time (exceptions),and be respectful of others that want to learn. She offers her office hour to help everyone. Will re-explain anything. Highly Rec!

By far my favorite professor at ARC. She gives outlines and study guides for every test. The tests have a staggering amount of extra credit, which isn't necessarily hard. People in class who did not show up to many lectures complained the class was hard, but class was once a week on Fridays so missing a class is a big deal. 1210 would take again.

Marie is a really sweet, likeable old school professor. She has a Doctorate and she wants you to get there in one term. She give sSO much information it is overwhelming, tons of homework. Expect to spend several hours every week on homework, and 5 or 6 exams (shortest was 7 pages). Final is 19 whopping pages!!! (she will give you 3 hours though for that one).

Great professor! Very knowledgeable about nutrition. I missed class a lot in the beginning of the semester due to a death in the family. Professor Schirmer always informed me on what I missed and was very supportive through a very challenging semester. If you want to fully understand Nutrition I recommend taking her class!

Schirmer is knowledgeable on the subject but unless you have a lot of time to spend on excessive homework then avoid this online class. The 50% attrition rate in her class speaks volumes as to how much work she assigns. The work isn't hard just time consuming and what you learn isn't worth the hours it takes to complete the assignments.

I have a friend who studied medicine a broad, he thought this class would be more suitable for advanced study like PhD!! The professor think that within half semester the students turn to nutritionists! I thought I will learn the principles of nutrition, here you will feel you study medicine !!!!!

In simple words, if you need to be nutritionist this class would fit your demands. But it need more study. The teacher deals with the students as they are post graduate level and she forgot that many of them are here to get some information or for credits.

If it wasn't for this class I'd have a 4.0 GPA. The professor makes the course far more difficult than it has to be. She assigns long, tedious assignments all at once and grades them down to the last letter. There aren't enough characters to even scratch the surface of this. Don't take unless you want a career in nutrition. My class average was D.

She gives a lot of material, won't accept any work online, lots of papers, lots of writing. Tests aren't hard she give good study guides. The BIG MINUS she's behind her lectures all the time but lots of assignments kept coming. homework is easy but time consuming, Online quizzes had nothng to do with lectures,

This class was personally interesting/important for me. The lectures are powerpoints, and she gives you printout copies of notes; some places are blank and for you to follow along and write them down. Exams are hard, but material is straight from notes, Wiley, and of course the book. I used Wiley Plus and study guides to study and get As on exams.

Amazing professor! She is very well organized, helpful, and knows how to TEACH! If you want to learn- take this class. She is a hard grader and gives a ton of work but she does this so you can learn- after all thats what you are going to college for. If you keep up with homework you should pass the class :)

Very knowledgeable teacher, but for an online class, there's lots of reading and a lot of assignments to do. She is a tough grader. Very late in grading assignments, and late in posting final grade. Uses the line that she has a lot of classes to grade. She makes it seem that her classes on campus is more important than the online class.

I really loved this class and would recommend it to anyone who is going to take a nutrition class. She does really make you work for a good grade and there is a lot of homework but she really knows what shes teaching so all of the assignments are very understandable. Whenever I had any questions she always answered them right away!

She has discussion board, every week, plus reading the power slides and reading the book. Plus she wants you to take a quiz to get you ready for the test. She does not have any lecture for Online so that is a setback but staying plugged in with the class mates helps to have some interaction with the school community. It would help if she had a lec

She makes this course much harder than what it has to be. She assigns assignments that are not necessary and they take a while to complete. She grades tough as well. Her lectures are long and her lecture outlines sometimes do not match the PowerPoint which is confusing.

Her class is informative, however there is a lot of busy work. Expect to work on cases every week, weekly quizs and additional outside resources she provides as well as the book. She gives you a study guide, but the study guide and the quiz dont always coincide.
