Absolutely the worst teacher I've ever had. Completely NOT understanding and totally unreasonable. I scored a 33 on the English portion of the ACT, wrote every paper for this class, and failed it.

this class sucks if you miss 3 little things on your final paper its a automatic c and then she grades from there so its very easy to get a bad grade just a bad class

This teacher will start out as a happy go lucky person, but ends up being a major crab ass by the time you can't drop her class. She will show you no mercy. It was a complete nightmare.

Take Dr. Ann Marie Pauline if you can. She was the best of all the english teachers the I had at Ownes.

DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS. Worst teacher I have ever had. HORRIBLE AND MEAN. If you have the option. Do NOT choose Marille Motto. I HATED HER!!

Bad teacher, she's a bit odd outside of the class but not a good teacher inside the class. If you don't give exactly spot on what she wants you won't get the right credit. If you can, don't take her class.

Teacher is very snooty in her responses. She wants things taught her way only. Her online course is very confusing and hard to understand. Has to many details on her essays and are required. If missed 1 then you fail. Has no personality. He suggestion for help is writing center and not her. Her demands are way above average and beyond

Avoid this class. She is snooty. If you can't write exactly what she would, you should expect to fail. Ridiculous amount of work, class is incomprehensible, syllabus is 30 pages long and redundant, and you will receive NO help when it is needed. This professor will tear you apart. AVOID IT. AVOID IT.

I didn't expect to coast through at all. Her online class is ridiculous! I've never seen so much work for one class. I agree, her class is like three classes in one. She does not clarify what she wants from you online. Her class was the most difficult to navigate through, and I've taken many online classes. I do NOT recommend her, at all.

She was the hardest teacher I have ever had. She ripped all of my essays to shreds, even after I revised them to her standards - which by the way are Ivy League compared to the community college I was taking the class through. She makes me never want to take another English class until the day I die. I would never recommend her to anyone. Stay away

Her lessons are extremely unclear

I don't mean to be rude, but she is by far one of the worst teachers/profs I have ever had. Her demeanor is very pompous and she carries the attitude of "It's my way or the highway." Her schedule is very heavy, seemingly unorganized and difficult to follow. Her writing standard for students is higher than what she is capable of. Avoid at all costs!

I would just say avoid this teacher at all cost's. Professionalism is definitely out the window under this professors class. From the start she is responding to my emails with emojis, and this is a proper English structure class? Also the Blackboard structure is so unorganized and it's like you have been put into a pinball machine, my head hurts.

Terribly confusing and very rude when you are confused. Must be younger because when you ask questions, she is very snarky and deducts points for everything.

Worst professor ever. Her feedback is worthless. Her grading is ridiculous, and there's so much homework each week, she is completely impossible. Pay extra and take Findlay class, it will save you a headache. Definitely, a case of those that can't, teach. You will be baffled on the first day by her excessive instructions. Never would recommend her

Workload very heavy. VERY long instructions the syllabus was about 20 f#&king pages long no exaggeration. She likes to type every thing maybe because she hates questions

Her online class is a mess. You'll have assignments due that are not even listen in one of the 100 tabs. Grading is super strict with no forgiveness. I would avoid her as a professor 120%.

Just finished summer class. Massive homework,giant essays,weekly DBs/peer reviews,research/side projects,way too much for 8 weeks. Sample essays are terrible,17 pg syllabus,tons of rules/topic restrictions,poor communication. Expects better writing than she is capable of herself. Very condescending and snarky. I spent 30+ hrs week to get my A.

Huge syllabus, not clear with expectations, weekly discussion boards, tough grading criteria. Loads of homework yet slow to grade.

This professor has unrealistic expectations, is completely unforgiving and lacks professionalism. She is condescending and rude. Gives a ton of weekly work, had a 19 page syllabus. Gives a ton of writing restrictions. Had to drop the class because I just couldn't keep up, and when trying to figure it out she had no care in the world.

Online class is absolutely ridiculous. Unrealistic expectations and extremely unhelpful. Failed my entire paper because I cited websites the wrong way on my first paper ever and didnt give an opportunity to help me or a chance to improve my grade. Class has tons of homework, get ready to read a crap ton

Worst professor Ive ever had, very rude. She states how willing she is to help students however if you reach out for any reason a snarky condescending response is given back no matter how much effort you are putting in. Would not recommend this professor to anyone.

Absolutely rude, not helpful, tried contacting multiple times through email because issues that were unclear to me, i wasnt receiving feedback emails for each paper & were going to my junk mail and i was unaware, professor told me it was too late & failed me. Even took this issue to the chair, and did nothing about it. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PROF

She will not work with you on anything. Condescending, rude and not helpful at all. This class is utterly time consuming and expectations are set very high for a low level English class. Time stringent, so if you do not submit before an assignment is due and end up having the upload end at 1 min after due time, you will receive an F.

She was the worst professor I have ever had! 100000% would not recommend. She took a simple misunderstanding at the beginning of the semester and made it so I could get a C at best if I did everything perfect for the rest of the semester. I was forced to dropout to preserve my GPA. Unbelievable!! Do not take her class!

Professor Motto is one of the rudest professors I have ever encountered. She is supposed to be teaching an online class, but when students email her for clarification on an assignment she has nothing but sassy and unhelpful remarks. She is a teacher that will gladly watch you fail. There are only 3 essays in this class but each is graded very hard.

I have been in an out of college for 10 years and have never had an issue with a professor until now. Shes rude, has unrealistic expectations, and knocks off a lot of points for minor problems. I am a hard worker and a proficient writer. She decided early on that she didnt like me, and was determined to see me fail. Do not take her class.

Professor Motto does not care about her students. She is proud of the fact that her class is tough and mistakes the cause of it. She thinks her class is hard because it is advanced when in reality its only hard because of her inability to teach and inspire students to achieve success.

Worst teacher I have ever had! She has the strictest grading standards and is almost impossible to get an A. Rude and unprofessional. Dont even bother emailing outside of her office hours, she wont answer and when she does shes super unhelpful.

Tough class if you choose her. Took the online summer semester. Extremely tough grader. Difficult writing prompts. Three main papers for a grade. The good thing is she basically lets you know this upfront with an 18 page syllabus. If youre NOT good at English, do not take her class. If you are good at it then you will be fine.

Don't take her class, you will learn nothing from this class, and hate writing in the end. This professor is legit the worse professor I have ever had in my entire life.

A ridiculous amount of work with almost no time to do it. Does not give clear instruction at all and then leaves rude announcements when nobody does the assignment right. Not a great professor to have for an online course.

This professor was easily my worst. You have 3 papers and all are worth chunks of your grade. 1st is 15% 2nd is 25% and third is 35%. She has a long syllabus and make sure you read it bc if you dont you could fail. I honestly dont think she wants her students to succeed. If you fail one of your papers you better ace everything else to pass.

Professor Motto is by far the worst Professor I have had thus far. I have never gotten this low of a grade in any English/Writing class. She made me hate it. Will not help you if you email her, and may even totally ignore you. Won't let you write about anything that's actually interesting, so essays are monotonous. Avoid her if at all possible.

Why teach if your only joy is ruining others' lives? That's how I felt taking professor Mottos class. I have never met someone who is so unwilling to compromise. It truly is her way or the highway. Her sample papers are D+ papers at best, her blackboard is a mess, and her twenty paged syllabus leaves you overwhelmed, which is what she wants.

Lots of things she says you cant write about. Make sure you read the syllabus and requirements for the essay so you know what NOT to write about. There is lots of material to read for discussion boards and they are on the longer end of the word count side. Take another professor if possible.

I took it as a summer class expecting the accelerated timetable. I didn't expect her DB & BB to be such a mess. It is all over the place. I had to clarify things a few times because I had no idea what the actual message was. She is the most critical professor I've ever had. The topics you CANNOT for essays is extreme.

By far the worst class, and professor I have EVER come across. There are so many different papers to write, on top of hundreds of pages of convoluted instructions. I came out the other side of this class more confused than anything. Any questions are just answered with URL links to writing websites. Avoid, avoid, avoid this class.

Not engaging. Every handout and "contract" was in a different font and format. Her syllabus was confusing about what assignments were graded and which were optional (causing me to lose points). If you choose a bad subject for your first paper, your second paper HAD to be about the same thing (no changing). Very strict and bad experience.

Extremely unwilling to work with students as problems occur. If your computer has any issues at all she will not allow you to use anything else as a temporary alternative. I instantly dropped the class due to her inability to compromise.

Her entire blackboard page is a mess, she has all your grades posted before they're due, basically always have an F until you do the math on it.. You're always writing something, whether that's the weekly db or the essays, as soon as you're with the one essay there's ANOTHER. And the topics you can't write about is a lot bigger than the ones can.

If you think you are good at writing papers, think again. A majority of your grade comes from 3 major essays, and included in those are tedious peer reviews and writing reflections that will seriously hurt your grade if not submitted. Be sure to look at the mile-long "do not write about" list before starting your essay as well before writing.

The professor begins the class with a warning that this is not an easy course. But it isn't the required discipline that makes this class difficult; it is the constant deciphering of instructions on each assignment.The messy syllabus and unnecessary wordiness of assignment instructions led to many students being confused throughout this course.
