Nice lady. Cares a lot about the subject. Would be better if she didn't need to stay so close to the SPA department curriculum. Scares you that you are doing poorly, but ended up with a B+! Make sure you do all the work.

Totally love her. She is always willing to help and is very understanding. Class time flies by and she is really entertaining. Plays lotssss of Youtube videos.

I am in her class now and I love her! Yes, you have to do a lot of work but she is really there for you if you need extra help, etc. Really enjoys what she does so it makes class fun. You do need to participate and study!

She is a very fair and helpful professor. She genuinely loves to teach and help you out when you dont understand something. It is in your best interest to take this professor for spanish. She keeps the class interested in what she is teaching very energetic and excited to be in class to teach us. She uses the work book alot it helps not tedious.

Prof. Sarria means well. She is tough on her students and expects them to do a lot outside of class. Four hours in the classroom is not enough. She is an amazing teacher however and is always willing to help students. She also provides great energetic teaching which helps with learning. I would def recommend her. You will learn so much!!

Took her for 200&210 Intensive Course. She expects alot from her students. NOT an easy "A". Study, do the HW, and be prepared to participate. if you do all of these things you will pass the class.She is always there for help if needed. I had Prof Sarria for Spanish 210, and i am going to miss her SO much! She made class so fun and entertaining and i learned a lot! She expects you to work hard, be present in class, and participate, which really isn't too much to ask for! I wish she taught more classes! Enough can't be said about this professor. I went into this class as an A student at UCONN and wasn't sure what to expect because I was very bad at Spanish. Over the course of the semester she worked with me every day and made sure I passed with flying colors. She is one of the best teachers I have ever had.

Marilin is really nice, although she can come off as crazy and strict at first, but she is very helpful. The online homework is easy to get 100's on as long as you do it. Study for her tests and do the work and it will be easy.

She's nice... but she is best taken if you really have a lot of knowledge in the spanish language already. Although she does teach, she really expects a lot from you already. Tests can be difficult, but she is always willing to help out the best she can.

Sarria is a great professor. She works really hard to give good presentations/lessons (her power point). Her class is conducted in Spanish, but even when class in taught entirely in Spanish, she lectures in a way that ensures you understand what's going on. She really care about her students. Had her for SPA 101, DO THE ONLINE HOMEWORK! Don't fall behind it will kick you in the but!Check online often, there's not a set schedule for homework. Shes a good professor but its hard for her to address everyone in the group. Go to her office hours and everything will be clarified! Saved my grade!

She has a thick accent so at first its hard for you to understand her. She doesn't speak english well but you learn to get used to it. She loves her students and she is a very fun professor. Her class may seem hard at times but she will help you in any way that she can.

Professor Sarria was one of the best spanish professors I've had at southern! She really cares about her students learning and understanding the language. There was no book, test or exams in this class but participation was grades heavily. She is really nice and helpful! Take her if you need to take spanish 200:)

Great class, we were her first "experimental" class. No Books, No Tests, No quizzes! We were required to speak, only in Spanish, but she was very lenient and always encouraged you to "just try." Awesome class, very easy, just show up!

Professor Sarria is extremely nice and genuinely concerned about her students. She is also funny and gets very into class discussions. There is no book or tests. There are four compositions and a huge final project. This class is entirely based on communicating in Spanish. You must think quick enough to respond to her questions. Don't skip!!

Although the class does require outside practice (but then again what SPA class doesn't) the professor truly wants to see everyone succeed and as long as you show her you're putting in effort she will help you out. I hated taking Spanish in high school but I enjoyed this class a lot more, probably because I was a lot more successful in this because Sarria taught the material so well.

AHHH I love this professor. She comes off intimidating but she's SO sweet as long as you make the effort to learn. I am not the best in Spanish but she takes her time to really teach you. Honestly, shes SO kind. A lot of VHL homework but its a breeze as long as you really pay attention in class. Don't take this class if you aren't ready to learn.

Sarria's online course is the very best online course I'm taking in SCSU. The structure is perfect, nice and easy to follow along. The workload is average compared to all of my other courses, however is easier to complete due to how amazingly Professor Sarria delivers the information about each topic.
