Dont see what all the fuss is about, she just reads off of her overheads for like 2 and a half hours (if you are in the 3 hour lecture). She just reads the overheads in an interesting way i guess.

Great lecturer. Not only is she great at conveying the course material in class but she also has the patience to walk you through any challanges you may have during her office hours.I really enjoyed my time in her course.

very interesting prof...sometimes over the top, but makes an otherwise boring class go by fast, enjoyed seeing what crazy thing she'd do next.... warning: do not fall asleep in lecture, if she catched you, she makes you dance :P

Gives exam like examples, great notes, very helpful outside class, interesting course, good sense of humour. If you dont do well in her class you seriously have to be the biggest bum alive.

She's very kind, and her notes and tutorial book are great leads for the midterms/exam. Al though I found sometimes that she went too quick. Tutorials made up for that though. (Like to add that Dennis Bailey is the best TA++++)

Also had her for 1P92. She's hilarious, and really knows her stuff. It was fun being in her class, and she likes to play music sometimes to help you remember certain points. I wish I could have her again.

She is great! I had her for first year Macro and Micro. Although her sense of humor is the same every year for each class, she is still awesome! She does plenty of examples and is always ready to help students that want it.

Prof.Cottrell is the greatest in Brock I would say. I will never forget her support and kindness when I have gone through a very hard time in my life. She cares a lot! She is always there to support you,even at midnight she responds to emails & calls. A warm heart and sense of humor with an excellent teaching style, D-E-F-I-N-I-T-E-L-Y THE BEST!

Prof. Cottrell is definitely the best professor I have had a Brock University to date! She makes every class enjoyable and her teaching methods are extremely effective! She loves to give a few hints on what's on the exams, so attending class is important. The workbook she wrote for the course is EXACTLY like the midterms and final - go to tutorial!

Very supportive and kind. Made us feel like she's a mother figure to all of us! I totally love her as an istructor. She's just an awesome thing.. If you work hard and show her whatever you're trying to solve, I'm a 100% sure she will raise your grade. Also she's really friendly and doesn't favor students which is the best thing about her!!

The easiest prof you can get at Brock. Although she rarely uses the textbook, she gives clear explanations and examples for any concepts. Therefore, going to her lectures is a must in her course. In, addition, double check your test papers cause she always marks some of the questions wrong and calculate the marks incorrectly

Cottrell is one of the easiest at Brock. Attending Tutorials and doing the work prior is really helpful in achieving a great mark in her class. Her tests are based completely off of her workbook. Only downside is that she does too many overhead notes. Nice Professor.

cotrell is such a nice lady, she does her best to answer any questions you have if you approach her. The subject material isnt always clear when she explains it and she doesnt do much for elaborating outside of her slides. SHe posts all material online but once and a while she wont if she sees that students aren't attending lectures.

Mrs C (Professor Cottrell) is awesome. Someone told me before I start that she would be one of the best profs I had and it is true. She is passionate about econ and will help her students in their learning process.

Her course is not very difficult if you put in a bit of effort. Her tests are fair and she bumps marks if the class average is bad. She is a good professor, just don't get distracted by the dancing. She tries to make her class as interesting as economics can be.

Some of her lectures were somewhat disorganized but she was easily the most caring and helpful professor in the department. She knows how to deal with troublesome students (sleeping/listening to music in class) and that makes her even better. If you actually care you will do very well. She rocks.

Very clear explanations but notes may be confusing at times. Attendance is quite important because she does not put her notes online. Does some funny stuff from time to time.

Professor Cottrell is the best! She really tries to help students as much as she can. Will go out of her way to help! Never feel shy to stop by her office because you'll likely leave with a smile.... she gives candy!

Good prof. Easy tests. No need to go to class, gimme to many accounting students. Ive gone perhaps three times and pull mid 90's. Use the texbook tho... Seriously worth the money, oh yeah workbook know that in and out

She's honestly one of the sweetest ladies you'll ever meet. Tests aren't hard if you work for it and she's always available for extra help. Going to class isn't necessary (Ive gone to maybe 8 classes and have gotten 90's) but it is helpful because she does tell you what will be on the midterm. Best of luck!

Such a nice lady!! Her grading criteria is clear and shes always there for you. If you work hard youll do well, if you dont well..... you should drop out.

Loved her! I did great in the class with minimal effort, just make sure to attend tutorials because that's where all the concepts are demonstrated! She is also hilarious, her dancing and dressing up make the class a lot less dry! I miss being in her class!!

Good professor although her lectures are sometimes scattered all over the place. Does not follow the textbook and if you want to pass you need to attend tutorials (hopefully you get a good tutorial leader). She does not post anything online so if you miss lecture you won't get the 10-30 pages of notes you'll need per lecture.
