Probably one of the worst teachers I have ever had. This professor is busy with her own agenda, does not care about her students at all. Tell you one thing about the project, but when you give her the finished product, she says it's all wrong. Flakey!
Worst. Professor. Ever. She's a motivational speaker and is very motivational. Except she doesn't really teach (she leaves it to her TA). Her grading criteria is ridiculous. This is a pay-check instructor. Avoid at all cost.

She missed a lot of class, was very critical of her requirements yet not thorough in her explanations. I contacted her with a question and she didn't get back to me until the morning the project was due. She also tends to show favoritism.
Dr. E is the best there is. Treat her class like a bus.and you will do fine. Don't follow instructions and ask your questions the day before something is due and you will be the ones above writing false info regarding her class.
She is a very difficult grader on her assignments and her exams her extrememly hard. She's a ridiculous teacher and a person, I don't recommend her at all.
Take her class if you want to learn some real material. Don't take it if you don't plan on showing up for class on a regular basis since there are group projects and presentations.
Don't expect this class to be a breeze. She's tough and requires a lot. You must follow directions or else you'll suffer just by missing some little detail. I personally liked her, the 2hr 45 min went by quickly.
Her exams are VERY HARD: 25 questions ranging from multiple choice, T/F, listing and essay. The listing (around 2-4) come from the reading. The T/F and essay can be any answer as long as it's detailed, understandable and persuasive.

She definately shows favoritism which is a big no-no. Each day in this class was dreadful. Your writing wont improve by much because what she really cares about are the little attention to detail tidbits like if your name is on the darn thing.. BOO easter
She seems like a nice person at first, but once you read the LONG syllabus you realize just how anal she is. Everything has to be her way and perfect, and even then she never seems satisfied. Take another teacher instead!
She is the worst teacher I have every had. I would not even recommed her to my worst enemy. She did not pass me b/c she did not like me. She has major issues and should not be teaching. I feel bad for her family.

One of the best bus 100 instuctors at SJSU. A great motivational speaker. She stresses great importance on communication and group work. Although she maybe a little tough than the average business instructor you will learn four times as much.
This professor is hard! Will take 20% of grade if the format is not right. Follow directions and can do ok. Not recommended!

Very Disappointing, I talked to 5 classmates after the semester and we all got C's, although she told me I had a great chance of getting an A earlier. She is a bad listener and can't communicate herself. She is no expert and I didn't learn anything new.
Very Hard. She is very opinionated and would want to argue with you. She also gets angry very easily. She would grade you down if she finds out that you were doing homework or something in class especially when her husband subs for her for the day.

This teacher is very unorganized. She will go on and on about subjects unrelated to the class. On one exam there was a question from a chapter we had not covered yet. She made up a lame excuse for why we should have known the answer. Dont take her!!!!
I'll agree that this class isn't easy, but she isn't as bad as everyone else is making her out to be. I thought she was a good teacher and I learned a lot from her class. Ended up with a B in the class. Just don't get lazy and slack off, otherwise you should be fine.
Her grading is tough I don't think anybody would ever dispute that. Come prepared to her class, that is my biggest advice. If you don't follow format of homework, you lose points automatically, thats a perfect example of my point. However, she gives you very practical advice for the real world.
The worst teacher ever. If she does not like you she will not pass you. She wishes she was Oprah. You have to be a nice, kind, loving person and Dr. Easter is far from that. It is her way or the highway. Take Clinch or Fortune, they are great professors.
Worst Teacher Ever! Loves the sound of her own voice. Will talk about useless things forever. Changes here grading criteria every other day making it almost impossible to get anything higher than a C.

Worst teacher I have had at any school. She favors certain students. She marks points off for the stupidest things. She has a double standard.(ie. it is ok for her to be late but not for u) I don't remeber anything from that class except that she is a ****, and NOT to take her.
I thought I was getting a quality education at SJSU; however, professors like Dr. Easter make me doubt the whole program. She lacks organization, objective, and clarity. Worst of all, she'll make "YOU" do her personal research. What a waste of my time and money. Don't take her.

Its funny to read what some have put about Dr. Easter. She really isn't that bad at all, just do the work and follow directions. You get what you deserve, and yes, it IS possible to get above a C despite what you read below. this is not a class for slackers, if you want an easy A take someone else but if you want to learn something useful, take her
Dr. Easter is not as bad as everyone says. She is tough, but what do expect, its college. She makes you work and think and at the end you are a better person because of it. You MUST show up everyday and follow directions. She can be unclear sometimes. Show up and do the work and you can get a good grade.
She is absolutely the worst teacher I have ever had (including high school). She is very biased and rewards only those students that she likes. Do yourself a favor and stay away from her class. There are other good teachers who offer the same class (too bad I didn't realize it sooner!)
Never take a course from a teacher that does NOT show up! Had Easter for a summer session of 100W. She showed up to only 2/3 of the classes as her outside business took up all her time. Teaching was not a priority for Easter.
Very arrogant person (you must call her "Dr.") She does not follow a grading format. I completed all parts of the resume project and she gave my an F. Later changed the grade when I challenged her on it. DO NOT take her class.
She definitely plays favorites. Tip if you want a better grade, just visit her outside of class hours, if you can ever find her. Throughout the class she emphasized being specific, but she never followed it herself. Her feedback and "so-called study guide" for tests were extremely unhelpful. She's a great talker since she's a motivational speaker, however I definitely regret taking her.

Ironically, this professor does not know how to communicate. Mispellings/verbal mispronunciations were common in syllabus/lecture. Claims to be an "expert" in the field, but seems defensive. Skip the class, if you can. Was not forthcoming with own research goals and seemed to ask students indirectly for information to further her own work.
Kiss up and you'll do fine - she likes to be worshiped. Claims timeliness is imperative but is often late herself. Same double std. with: being organized and prepared, knowing names, being racially sensitive, and spelling. Used TAs to do her job for her. After a long search (w/help), wasn't able to find any materials she claims to have published.
I don't know what everyone is crying about. She is a tough teacher, but come on guys it is a college course. I learned alot from her class. Show up to class and follow directions and you will do fine. If you don't follow directions then you will not do well. It is a upper division college course, deal with it or go home to your mommy.

Dr. Easter is the best professor I've ever had. She care about her students. All you have to do is listen and follow direstions in class and you can do well in her class.
Dr. Easter is a great professor! I took her on Spring 2006. Do your CLUE Reviews and follow the Block format for all papers. Read chapters but focused on writing styles, specially memos. She is very clear on what you should do in order to pass her course. So, just follow her format and focused on learning memos. She is very enthusiastic & positive.

Real world experience in an MBA program is critical and she has it. I like her fresh approach to writing and critical thinking.
Completely incompetent. Unprofessional. Oh, and she'll make you do HER work. You'll have to write HER papers because she is incapable of it herself. I have never in undergrad, grad school and now SJSU experienced a more egocentric, disorganized, fraud. RUN AWAY from this disaster.

A lot of busy work which is highly detail oriented but you will get out of it what you put in. The final project is extremely useful at the end of your MBA.
I have not spoken to one MBA student that got anything out of the class. It was a complete waste of our time and money. The cancelled many classes without giving a reason. Her assignments had nothing to do with the class. She is definitely not fit to be a graduate professor. I felt like I was in a remedial high school class.

One of the best professors I have ever had. Listen in class and you will be fine. She will fail those who do not follow her instructions. Some instructions are found in her online syllabus, the rest are given in class. THE IN CLASS INSTRUCTIONS ARE IMPORTANT.
Easter doesn't teach, she's a motivational speaker. She's very vague on the project worth half your grade. Her lectures are obviously improvised and rarely have anything to do with class material. She says she answers her email but I never heard back from her. A lot of the test questions have more than one right answer. VERY FRUSTRATING!

But she doesnt go over anything in class. very vague. like she is a great lady. very very sweat but she doesnt lecture or say whats on test and with 4 or 5 chapters 20 pages each its not helpful when the professor doesnt go over anything. This professor uses canned exams so it's important to read and study the textbook thoroughly or you'll have a hard time. To do well on the group project, ask a lot of questions because her line of communication is not always clear.
The class is essential--therefore students have no alternative but to take her. Once you in there, she owned you and you cannot speak up your mind although this class is ironically a public speaking class! She is a great speaker, but her past haunts her and molds her into a hater, especially free-minded students--I failed for speaking my mind!!
DO NOT TAKE A CLASS FROM THIS PROFESSOR. Incompetent and functionally illiterate. Plays favorites. On an ego trip. You will suffer AND not learn anything whist working on a crazy mid-term paper that has nothing to do with the coursework.
She is an excellent motivational speaker, but a horrible teacher. If you take her make sure you have good communication with her. Make sure she knows what SHE is saying. And if she makes a mistake make sure you bring it up with her. She will try and help you out, but seems confused about what she has previously said.
Incompetent. Seriously, this professor is functionally illiterate. She asks students to handle her communication for her because she is functionally illiterate. Do not take this professor under any circumstances. Take whatever alternate you can to her. She is useless.
Generic exams, m/c and t/f. One major project with presentation and she can be very vague on what she wants from this project. Read the book, some questions are unimportant pieces of random info imbedded into the book. If you care about your grade and just want to pass, don't take this class unless you are an active vocal participant in class.

Nice overall person but difficult to deal with. can be condesending and forget names. However she respects everyones opinions and calls on everyone. if you want a good grade read the book thoroughly although not taught in class. Also there is not too many available points so catch them all.
If u want to improve ur presentation/public speaking skills, TAKE her class. By the time ur done, u will be a descent speaker able to face crowd. She will get u out of ur comfort zone. class is not hard, but I took it in the summer, so that may be why this review is different from the others.Be sure you get a good group or your final project will suffer.Grade based on the project, 2 exams, and a final. Dr. E was no Joke she is very passionate with her work and teaches differently compared to other teachers. She may not teach from the book, but she does focus on key points and gets the entire class envolved. You need to read the book to pass. I am a C- student, I worked my BUTT off and I got a B+ in the class. The test is def. rough though. STUDY!
I have never written a review on this site before, but I want to save the future of students who are thinking of taking her. Do ANYTHING you can to avoid taking her, she is the worst teacher I have ever experienced in my life. Her teaching skills are well...non-existent! Her grading methods are completely subjective and unfair. Horrific!!!

Easter relies more on charisma than substance; her lectures could benefit from more professionalism. Had the text not existed, neither would her course because it makes exhaustive use of it, so be prepared to read a lot in preparation of the exams. One good thing was her occasional semi-innovative critical perspetive on the topics discussed.
Sometimes she'll let you use notes on the exam, but then she'll make the test 10 times harder and everyone will fail. You have to read the entire textbook for her class to do well. One thing that made me angry was when I asked her for a short letter of my grade in the class and she refused my small request! I needed that letter for my employer.
Dr. E is vivacious and inspiring. She will take you out of your comfort zone which will in turn make you a stronger person. Her class is difficult because she expects a lot from students. Speak up, participate, and do the homework and the class will be a breeze. She does NOT pick favorites, she likes students who are engaged in class. EXCELLENT
She is a great professor. The people who left her negative remarks are crazy and lazy. If you study, you will do fine. You must go to class to get a good grade. Fun Teacher, Really gets you to understand the material in her class through stories. Best to take in summer since she can alter her teaching methods and she gives points for coming to class. I would imagine its tougher during the school year since her classes consist of 100+ students and its tougher for her to do anything but give difficult test.

This is my first negative evaluation, and I'm sad to say, don't take this professor. I'm an "A" student, and received the same in Ms. Easter's class, but that doesn't change my opinion.

She took over Cruz's class in summer 09 at the last min. Expected the worst from the reviews but she ended up to be great. Of all the business prof I've encountered, she's one of my favs. She's high energy. She wants students to learn. Read the book. Study/group study for exams. Ask questions if you're unsure. Do the study guides when available!
Avoid this teacher if possible. If you have to take her MAKE SURE to do the homework. There are only a few assignments, so they are worth a lot of points.

Her class is the last one to fill up. Easy to pass. Very difficult to get A. She deducts 5 pts if you write your name not at upper right hand corner and not w/last name first. She always emphasizes she is very busy. There were only 30 students signed up @ the beginning but 120 finally b/c of budget cut. I know u don't have choice! Read by yourself!
Dr.E is a nice & helpful teacher! Her class is not easy 4 those who r not great public speaker. quizzes n exam r m/c n attendance is a must to do well on the class. Great Teacher, every student must understand that in her class in order to achieve a high grade you must be dedicated to work for it. She puts forth a lot of effort to allow students to achieve, she is not going to give you the easy A, but she will lay down the foundation to achieve it. Tests are all M/C. Choose wisely when selecting IMC group.
i am presently in this class and this is the best class ever. she is high spirited and so much fun. she allows 1 page cheat sheet for her exams. she gives out study guide for the exam and the same questions would come out on the exams, do yourself a favor and take this class
Her lectures are useless. You need to read, make a good cheat sheet for test & do practice exams given. Go to class just for classwork points. And semester's over. She wants you to pass but she doesn't know how to lecture or teach marketing.
Be prepared to work extremely hard. I have NEVER worked so hard on a group project. The class is intense. She did not teach in class. Everyone learned simply through the book. Read everything! She finds the most detailed questions to put on tests. No curve. However, one pro: you will improve your speaking skills by the end of the semester.
class relies heavily on your group...which means pick your group members wisely. its a great class but you have to READ the book! she will know if you did not read.you get a cheat sheet for midterms and make sure it is detailed..read read read to get a good grade. I got a C+ and went to every class and worked very hard on my group presentation
Took her during the winter. She is great. A lot of presentations, almost every class meeting, reading the book is a must. You will meet a lot of people during this class, group work and presentations are done with different students every day. She has not posted the grades yet, its been over a week now, I don't know how I did.

She is good. Read the book multiple times if you want to do well in class. However she is not good when it comes to administrative work. For example the grades. I finished the class 2 weeks ago and no grades have been posted. I took the class during winter 2011.
Beware! Very tough. Better pick a hard working group because you will be stuck with them the rest of the semester. Very unclear about what she wants. It was a headache trying to figure out how to go about the assignments. Not the most effective teaching method. I would definitely take another professor if I had the choice.
She's not as bad as some of these reviews made me believe as far as her character goes. However I study hard, take notes, and read the book, and do the study guides and yet the tests can be really challenging. She doesn't ask the questions in an obvious manner and it seems as if two answers might work for one question.
Currently taking her now, she should be a public speaking teacher, NOT marketing. Tests are extremely hard and also NO study guides, BS right? She didn't even teach! The whole semester was about the IMC plan, nothing was learned=(
Her teaching is not clear at all. She often changes whatever she says. Quite often contradict herself. Not a great professor. Definitely not take her class.
Tests are extremely difficult! she usually allows a page of notes but even with that most of the class failed the first 2 exams so then she gave us a study guide containing the actual test questions mixed in with others so all you had to do is find the answer and memorize them. Tests are timed so pace yourself!

Doesn't lecture about course material just IMC project. Then gives extremely hard tests. Even the take home test was difficult. Very particular about what she wants as far as swag for IMC. Take Vitale.
Took her during the summer. She is great. A lot of presentations, almost every class meeting, reading the book is a must. The material is pretty straight forward. There is also a lot of group work and presentations are done with different students every day. Overall you learn a lot and she makes it very understandable.
All material she uses is given from the text book even the tests.......The tests are more about reading the book than understanding the material... dont take her class

I took Professor Easter for IMC class and its HEAVILY BASED ON PUBLIC SPEAKING AND GROUP WORK. I would do what many previous stated. PICK A GOOD GROUP! The class is high demanding and consist of an extra commercial clip on the IMC project and final which Vitali class does not have. You might want to detour from this class...
She was funny, but her lectures were POINTLESS. The online tests were 100% textbook based. I'm disappointed though. She told the class the final was only on chapters 17, 18, 19, and 21, but a good 25% of the questions were from chapter 20. We emailed her about it but never heard back, and she posted overall grades w/o doing anything about the test.
She is a public speaker not a professor. She spends the whole lecture talking about doing things (IMC) not how she wants it done. She is available to answer your questions however, she only gives standard 1 line responses that are not helpful. Pick a good group!!!
Do contribute to ur group,know your materials well&read textbook.This is not an easy class but what you learn from it can benefit you through out your life. Dr.E is extremely helpful and always willing to help.She is teaching us in the same way Stanford&UCB students be taught.If perfunctorily is the way you prefer to live on, choose other prof.
The class is half in class half online/field work. You will be workin as consultants to create a marketing plan for a real business. Must read books for exams. Dr. E manage the class like a actually firm. Perfect class for those who is lookin to get exposures to a real working environment. She's the type of (motivation) boss you'd want to work for!

Online. Follow her grading criteria and you will do okay. Fair minded and will definitely respond to questions. I like her video tutorials that she provides to clarify info. Be sure to read and summarize each chapter.

Warning: For those of you who plan on taking 134B don't do it until you take Bus130 with her. Take her class at your own risk. For all of her classes she is a tough grader based on her guidelines, follow it or you won't pass. The tests and quizzes are hard so read the book first. She will make you work at an advanced level no matter what. Good luck
I'm taking her 134B class right now..... for the love of god don't take her!! I came in with an open mind and she's crushing it! Not in a good way! Her quizzes and tests are impossibly hard as she has never given a lecture on the material it's on, just just goes off on tangents about the IMC project which doesn't seem to help since were all failing
Little to no interactions with the students. She does not record her own lecture nor does she produce a single powerpoint. About 90% of the class materials (lecture and assignments)was produced by the publisher. Otherwise, she gives no feedback on why you received a low grade on assignment. You basically teach this class yourself.
THIS IS THE WORST PROFESSOR I HAVE EVER HAVE. HER "different teaching methods" although unconventional are WORSE than conventional professors. I don't learn squat from that class. Get an internship, you'll be better off with a paying job than a class that screws you over with "real life" experience my butt. .. and it's not online.
This class is like none other. Whether that's good or a bad i don't know. It's like 2 classes in one. Why she makes us do quizzes and test's idk since it's never discussed in class or taught. She didnt tell students what are main points to focus for final and midterm. Final is extremely hard, 50 questions 2 point each, once you chose, you can not go back and check.
Though this is an online class, it is structured so that you are required to read and learn from the book. You cannot get by without studying for the quizzes and final, and you are not allowed to use online sources otherwise. Assignments on the side will help your grade, but a majority of your points will depend on your knowledge in quizzes.
Professor Easter was ok. Her class required a LOT of work: 11 quizzes, 13+ assignments, group projects, 1 midterm, 1 final (Chapters 11-22), in-class participation/attendance matters, and some EC opportunities. She's a hard teacher but if you put in the work and do ALL of the assignments you will be ok. STUDY HARD for the exams. Follow directions!
Professor Easter assigned the same assignments every week. one chapter, one written assignment, and one quiz. I struggled with this class because I could not get a decent score on her written assignments. When I asked for help, and was told to read the questions again thoroughly. As my first online course at SJSU, this was the wrong class to take.

DrEaster is the worst professor I have ever taken. She shoves 2 classes in 1 between reading and a side project. All class time is devoted to the project. Doesn't teach a single thing in her online class. Expects you to read the book and read power points and the questions to the quizzes and midterms are very difficult. I passed with a B but I had to work for it, which I don't mind but it's frustrating when you pay for a class and no one teaches it. At least pre-record lectures or something!
Great Teacher! Very well organized and straight forward on whats expected. She's not even a tough grader. If you do the reading and put some thought in your discussion post and case studies. You will get a great grade no problem.
She wants us to read 5 chapters for a module No focus I'm not a native speaker, but passed WST and am qualified for this class like everyone else. I read carefully and make notes but always get a low score, because of my writing skill? Do not take this class if you can help it. I took the online course. There are 3 exams, and each is built on the others. 1 final, 7 quizzes, 7 case studies, and 7 discussions. The quizzes, case studies, and discussions are okay. The exams? NOPE. Exams are proctored. Exam questions aren't even related to the readings. Did not enjoy this class.
She does not offer office hours and her class is very rigid. Exams are hard and stressful because they need proctor-U (you'll be watched). Class is divided in 7 modules, you have to write a paper, commets for discussions and read 2 to 4 chapters per module. She does not explain the concepts from the assignments and she does offer online lecture

Had to be on proctorU while taking the exam, I happened to have a class on every thursday, and because she didn't specify her exams are on Thursday, I lost a lot of points for missing the other class!! She doesn't reply your message!
Tests are beyond hard! You could read all of the material three times over and your friend from another class probably has the same odds as you of receiving an A on one of her exams!If you are interested in marketing I would not want to take this course with her! It will steer you away from the major altogether. Also she makes you use ProctorU :/
Easter is by far the worst online professor's I've had. 1st her extra credit is included in the class, so instead of the class being out of 100% it's 105%. 2nd she said I was "unoriginal" on discussion posts and multiple choice quizzes. 3rd nothing from the reading is on the exams, the exams are also cumulative, and she uses proctor u.
Still not sure how I managed to get an A in this class considering that nothing from the readings is on the exam. I spent a whole day at home just reading every word from the textbook and taking detailed notes for the open book test, and IT DID NOT HELP. I went to her office hour to ask her what to do and feedback was vague. Don't take her.

She fronts as a teacher who knows marketing but not one single time did she even lecture or post any videos of her explaining anything. I would avoid Dr Easters class. Took this class last semester online, since it was the only one available. Teacher was not that great, she did not create her own lecture videos, instead pulled videos off of youtube based on the chapter subject. Offered textbooks for free, but were outdated and written badly. teacher didnt really care to help students through canvas. Uses ProctorU
She gives a really low grade on homework. As an online class, it is lack of communication with the teacher about what she wants to see in the assignments.
Discussion post, submission comments, and case analysis due every week. Too much work for an online class. Does not communicate well about what she expects us to do for assignments. Doesn't provide study guides for exams. She uses either ProctorU or lockdown browser + webcam for taking exams. Only good thing is she provides PDFs of the textbooks.
I'm part of the AEC and took online BUS2-130. She didn't listen to me when I said I might need extra time in completing assignments and brushed off all contact I tried to have with her. Her videos are redundant and mostly about "don't cheat" instead of teaching the actual material. I'm an A student and this is the worst class I've had at SJSU.
Weekly assignments that are extensive and require a lot are case studies and discussions per module alongside quizzes. She does not communicate well at all for it being an online course, things are confusing. As long as you follow her initial guidelines you'll do fine on assignments. Be very thorough with your responses!!

Easily the worst teacher I have ever had. Her tests are impossible and have nothing to do with what is taught. Notes are allowed on tests but because tests are nothing like what you learn they don't help. She uses Proctor U which is awful . Don't take this class unless you're life is being threatened.
Tests have nothing to do with what is on weekly modules. Printed notes are allowed on tests but they don't help because tests are completely different. Testing done through Proctor U or Lockdown browser. Very tough grader and does not give feedback. She's so vague for it being an online class and people needing extra assistance.

The worst teacher i have ever had in college. she is not a teacher, she is a proctor. book and topics are outdated. every week there is a discussion, case study and quiz. 4 exams and a final using locked down browser. questions have nothing to do with topics covered in class. don't waste your time and money.
Nothing on the tests is taught during weekly lectures or the textbook. Her information is scattered she has multiple textbooks she wants you to read out of. EXTREMELY outdated material, I learned nothing of use to marketing today. She also wouldn't let me make up for a quiz when I was recovering from surgery, said it wasn't fair. Do not take her!!!
You pay tuition to not have any lectures, be given quizzes and tests that are copy and pasted from online test banks, and are constantly berated about not cheating. Tests, quizzes, and ungraded homework assignments also don't give feedback as to what you got wrong. A remarkable example of a person utterly unqualified for their job.
I agree with everyone else. Theres no chance for you to even know what you got right or wrong on the quizzes. Also, you don't receive a grade immediately even though its all multiple choice questions. You may think that it's an easy class but the final is what hits you hard because its cumulative and no study guide given.

I gave my first midterm. They were all applicational questions. She allowed notes and honestly I thought I did pretty well on the exam, I was super confident but I ended up with a 62/100 on that exam and I have no idea how that happened. Also, doesn't provide any lectures so you don't really know what to expect on the exams either. DO NOT TAKE HER

I am regretting every single day. Assignment questions are straight forward and easy to think about but exam questions are so weird and make you think that you know it all but that is not the case they have nothing to do with the content of the book
She is literally the worst professor you will ever take in your life. I am still amazed how she is employed simply because she does not lecture you on a single thing. On the exam, we were tested on Price markup calculations. I asked if we could use calculators and she said no. We are also not allowed to use pencils, so I had to do 10 math questions in my head without any way of checking. The worst part is I won't know if I got it right. Long story short, she sucks. she never gives you a chance to look at your past exams to see what you miss nor can you see it to study for the final. She is very strict when it comes to environment checks and her idea of "fair" is not fair at all. All her quizzes from a test bank so you can easily google the answers. shes a proctor,not a professor.
Aweful professor. I wouldn't have taken this class if I wasn't forced to by my advisor. She is very strict over the tests, and uses lockdown browser with webcam and she watches you take the tests. All her homework and test questions are copy pasted from the internet, but she expects you to not do the same (hypocrite) got a 79.89% but got a C+!!

that was a horrible class in my first semester in SJSU. She copies the content and put on the power point. the content, homework and exam were different. every exam is 50 questions in 70 minutes. The problem was so long, it take you more then 2 minutes to over the problem then answer. was so stressful. Never take her class again
Took Intro to Marketing Online Class. Professor did not "lecture" or "educate" in any other capacity besides posting several videos on how to "not cheat" on our remote tests. That is the role of a proctor, NOT a professor. She basically made us pay $100 for an online textbook that we had to teach ourselves. Don't waste your time or money.
I took so many online courses and never had any teachers like this crazy. She would ask us to buy textbook online using Cengage and no powerpoint, no teaching at all but just many assignments. The final is even comprehensive 20 chapters and there is only 50 questions. When taking the exam, once I whispered and got 10 points off too so don't face it
Whole course was self-taught using useless online assignments and no lectures from the professor herself. Really don't know what her job is besides proctoring us during exams. Comprehensive 15+ chapter final was not necessary as we already had four other midterms beforehand.
Please do not take her, save your money and time. She does not teach the class as she makes you pay for cengage assignments. All homework and even the exam's can be googled for the answer. However, she requires lock down browser for the exams. I don't understand why she puts the effort to spy on us when she does not make her own original material.

I would highly advise not taking this professor similar to her other poor reviews, I've had a terrible experience in her BUS 130 class that left me retaking the course. She was very uninformative throughout the semester and left students studying on their own path which she did not end up testing on. Her grading is also unfair so I would beware.
I thought Kalinowksi was the worst professor business professor. "Professor" Easter doesn't teach ANYTHING. We all had to spend $125 on a textbook to teach ourselves (which wasn't even used!). She puts more effort into stopping us from cheating than into teaching, which is ridiculous. I have no idea how someone this awful is still employed. AVOID!!
I specifically made an account to leave this review. The first week we had an introduction assignment which I submitted but hadn't realized there was more to the document that we needed to fill out. I received a 0/10 for it being incomplete. An honest mistake. I resubmitted and apologized and received a 0/10 for being late. Inconsiderate proctor.

Professor Easter is flat out one of the worst professors I have had taken in my academic career. She is hands-off, uses Cengage to teach her students. If you miss one mid-term your grade tanks. I had an A, had a family member pass from Covid, and missed a midterm and my grade ended with a D as a result. Stay clear away she has no empathy.
Dr. Easter is a great teacher- been in the business for 38 years for a reason. If you work hard and put the effort, she'll accommodate. She met with me a few times & did plenty to help me achieve a good grade. Just prove that you're a good student and she'll notice that. I had her for marketing funds and comms. You need to work hard and teach yourself everything. She doesn't post lectures or power points. She is willing to meet with you and discuss what answers you got wrong and tells you how to improve. If you know that you procrastinate, then this is not the class for you because you need to study every day.

This class was pretty easy for the most part. Midterms and Final were open book, open note, and taken on Lockdown Browser. If as you take your decent notes, you can pass with a good grade pretty easily. She uses the book to teach and doesn't interact with the class, so if you want to actually learn marketing, I don't recommend her. Easy class.

She relied on McGraw Hill's textbook and their PowerPoints all semester. She did absolutely nothing on her own. Although she allowed an unlimited amount of notes for her exams, some of the questions were very specific that you would never know unless you had the textbook on hand. Save yourself from this horrible instructor!

Took her over the Summer and honestly, she's not as bad as you think. 2 attempts for each quiz (20 in total), 3 exams (lockdown), and a non-cumulative final (lockdown). A quick tip to passing the course is to take decent notes, get a physical copy of the textbook, and follow her protocols, I guarantee you'll do exceptionally well.

Basically made the class way more difficult than it needed to be. She made us take a video of our ENTIRE surroundings before taking the exams on respondus lockdown. Final exam potentially covered the entire textbook but had no study guide.
Webcam is on during exams. 70 min for each exam. the only way to pass, get actual book and print the powerpoints. read the whole thing multiple times. She is a bad professor. No idea why she is still teaching.
She requires you to take exams in your house only. no public places. no even libraries (rooms in lib) and you have to show everything is around you. she says no pets or kids in the house during the exam.

No study guides nor lectures from this instructor. Only thing she does is send an announcement every week to remind us not to cheat. Cameras and audio are on in Lockdown, you can print notes and use a textbook for exams. You can't see your grade after or what you got wrong.
She is terrible - did not do a single lecture. Everything except exams was done on MG Hill. Her exams could cover literally anything in the course and even stuff outside it. She is extremely harsh with her exam policies, to a point where she feels like a proctor not a professor we are paying for. Can't see what we got wrong on exams. DONT TAKE HER.
This professor makes the class unnecessarily difficult. Exams cover broad content with no study guides. Though Unstuck study ai and the textbook helped, the harsh exam policies make this class a struggle. Avoid if possible.
I dropped this class because the workload was overwhelming. Expect 90+ pages of reading weekly, 200 McGraw-Hill quiz problems (which takes forever to finish), two additional quizzes, 60+ lecture slides, 4 exams, etc. The exams are nothing like what you study, making it hard to pass. Don't take her if you don't want your GPA to go down.

People who have rated Professor Easter probably hate how much homework there is. If you do the work, you will get a good grade in this class. Exams take place on a Lockdown browser with the camera on, but she allowed full notes to be printed or handwritten. Do the work and stop complaining. You can get through this class.
