Oh my god! She is incredible! She is really understanding and fantastic! Extra credit for perfect attendance, drop lowest test grade and tons of extra credit! She really wants to help you get an A. I find her funny and silly... PAY ATTENTION TO THE STUDY GUIDE! IT'S EXACT! I love going just because she is amazing!

She is a very nice teacher. I took her online class--the text is all online (you'll just have to pay to assess it-probably less than book). Just study the reviews and watch the videos you should do good on the exams. Your required to answer 2 online discussion questions weekly. Enjoyed the class alot

I took her class online and it was pretty easy.she posts up questions to answer in discussion forums.tests arent too challenging if you study.she is really sweet and definately wants you to make an A and she will work with you.take her class!!!

Extremely nice and understanding. Incredibly amounts of extra credit offered, you can even turn it late if necessary. She's cute, although the lectures can get kind of boring at times and she isn't extremely knowledgable in the field she teaches. She only takes attendence a handful of times during the year and even then you are allowed two abscence

Very helpful and VERY friendly. Actually remembers you outside of class and cares enough to ask you how your doing. Exams were easy and I recommend taking her and this course over the summer. Its a dry subject so the faster you get it over with the better

Mrs Gibbons is EXTREMELY helpful when it comes to statistics-- her lecture slides may not help you very much, but she is more than willing to put in extra time for you. Very kind, tries to make things as easy as possible. I would recommend her, especially if you are nervous about taking stats.

She was such an amazing teacher. I highly recommend her. I did not understand stats at ALL and I went to tutoring and read the chapters and my grade went from a C to an A!

she was great and funny. but she kinda talked alot about random things but she was still funny. she gives a ton of evtra credit! she will help you with anything and everything. she makes the tests pretty easy. she will like you if you talk to her because she is a granny lol. i def would take her again!! i reccomend her for sure

She's a nice professor and is definitely willing to help you. This class has a ton of homework, but it is necessary to get the practice. The class was boring because it's Statistics, but the teacher was good because she gives out a lot of attendance, homework, labs (which are easy), and participation points, which will totally boost your grade.

She saved my life in Stats. I was taking it online, so the book was my main resource. But when I started really having issues, I went in to talk to her and she cleared up my issues quickly. For Psych Stats: TAKE HER!

She is extremely helpful. This is not an easy class and I worked hard for my A. She helped me with all my homework and even helped me review for the test. She's very nice and really wants to help her students understand the work. I recommend her.

Took her during summer 2011 for stats, she was awesome. She knows that we are all not math people so she made it fun and very interesting. She always engaged the class and was very helpful when questions were asked. She did give curves on test. I def would say take her if possible.!

I took behavioral statistics online with her because I'd had her for intro to psych and am pretty good at math. If you are not proficient and/or above average at math DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS ONLINE. Otherwise you should be fine.

She was a great professor. She seemed a little different at first with the way she teaches, but you soon catch on. If you are taking STATS, I would highly advise taking her. Read the book, it really helps!

Such a sweet lady, always willing to help. Makes stats easy to understand, especially for those who hate or aren't good at math. Don't be fooled, you have to work for your grade. Keep up with daily homework. There are 3 regular exams, then final. Tests can be tricky and costly if you don't read questions correctly.

LOVE THIS WOMAN!!!! Shes so helpful and if you need to take exams early she has no problem helping you out. her tests are exactly like the study guides. shes so sweet! a little ditzy but very cute. made this subject my favorite of every class ive ever taken. TAKE HER!!! YOU WONT REGRET IT!!!!!

LOVE her. She is so sweet and humble. Not all the way there sometimes, but funny to say the least. Takes attendance by giving random pop quizzes in the beginning of class. The quizzes count as extra credit points. She goes by the Point System. I walked out with a B even though I did somewhat poorly on tests. A lot of extra credit is given!

Professor Gibbons is so sweet! Her tests are difficult and attendance isn't mandatory. But she does have random attendance checks. LOTS OF EXTRA CREDIT! I didn't buy the book and managed a B!

If you are a psychology major DO NOT take her. The class is super easy and she gives lots of extra credit but you won't learn a thing!

She is a very sweet lady and fun in class, but doesn't seem very knowledgeable in the subject. If you're really wanting to learn about psychology I suggest taking Meek-way more passionate about psychology. Tests are relatively easy if you read!

She was one of the best teachers I've ever had! I'm not a math person and she made it fun and easy to understand. Gives out a lot of extra credit so take advantage of that! Gives the formulas and lets you use a calculator on the test (unlike other stats teachers) Ended up getting an A! TAKE HER! :)

Took statistics with her. SHE IS AWESOME! Makes class fun and easy to understand. Is ALWAYS wanting to help. She wants to see success in her students, not failure. Gives out a lot of extra credit, make the effort and this course will be a breeze! One of the most fun & enjoyable teachers at txst. Makes a boring course fun! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

She is very sweet and funny but her tests are difficult towards the end and she doesn't seem very knowledgable in Psychology. Everything I learned and all her lectures came from the book. If you're a psychology major, take Meeks. She seems a lot more passionate and knowledgable in Psychology!

Mrs. Gibbons-Arhelger really cares about her students & psychology. She does tell a lot of stories in class, but I think that's part of what makes it interesting. Tests are based on application of the terms not just the definitions, so make sure you know how to apply it. She gives extra credit throughout the semester & wants everyone to make an A.

Mrs. Gibbon's is wonderful! She's very nice and helpful. If you are bad at stats/math, TAKE HER! She will make your life so much easier:)She tries everything in her power to get her students to succeed. She is the reason I am going to pass Statistics. She gives a lot of homework but it helps with the class and problems on the tests.

Mrs. Gibbons-Arhelger is very helpful, she encourages students to contact her with questions. It's true she is slow to put grades in the grade book, but usually you will like the grade she gives. Participate in discussion boards!

I enjoyed this class, tests are not too hard just study the powerpoints and the reviews she gives out. Gives a lot of extra credit online and in class so that can help out. Just study a little bit and youll be fine

Though this class was pretty tough, however she gives ALOT of extra credit, so much that it should be an easy A. I reccomend this class for anyone who isnt looking to learn a whole lot about psychology. Its just whats described in the course guide a beginning course with not much actual psychology info.

She was amazing! I loved her and this class! She's a very sweet and interesting lady and gives so much extra credit which really helps. Definitely would take her again. Easy A if you show up to class and study a little bit before exams.

She is such a sweet, funny lady. She gives loads of extra credit making it nearly impossible to not make a good grade in her class. Her lectures sometime run-on and she gets off topic, but she keeps it interesting. Tests are tough so study hard. Also, her and her TA take forever to put in grades, that was my biggest peeve. Attendance is for credit.

She's a very nice lady but can be extremely unorganized. Took forever to put grades in and can be difficult to stay interested in lecture if you are not interested in psychology. Attendance is pretty much mandatory for full participation points. Tests are hard and do not follow lecture but if you do all the extra credit(which are easy), easy B.

She takes attendance almost every single day and will give at least 5-7 extra credit opportunities throughout the entire course. READ THE BOOK. I am not kidding, her tests are straight from the book. I didn't read the book until the last two tests and found out her tests are exactly from the chapter. That is the BEST advice for this class.

Good lady and teacher. Takes a while to grade. Powerpoints everyday but they are all you need to study for the tests. Makes the material easy to understand. Easy A if you pay attention or if you just study the study guides, you don't have to do both if you don't want to.

This teacher was amazing. I enjoyed her class and she made everything interesting. She showed lots of videos to help you understand the experiments we talk about. Shes funny and really nice. I would definitely take this class again if i needed too.

She gives alot of extra credit! Super sweet but her lectures are a little boring. Her tests are just like the reviews which are easily done with the slide shows. I recommend taking notes so that you can pay attention. ALso, she tells stories that pertain to the lectures. Interesting, funny and makes things easier for you to remember.

Gibbons was one of my favorite professors at Texas State. She is the sweetest lady you will ever meet. She gives a lot of extra credit and a review for each exam. I didn't but the textbook and still got an A. If you ever need help with anything she will help you. She is like your grandma away from home. TAKE HER!

Mrs. Gibbons was fantastic. She's so sweet and loves to share hilarious stories about her own life. The best way to do well is participate and actually talk to her. She will offer tons of extra credit so do ALL of it. But you also need to study for tests because they're out of the textbook, but pretty specific.

All of the course material is on an online textbook, which has built in quizes. Lectures are just reviews of the online material. Gives PLENTY of extra credit. All over a good course.

She is the cutest professor you will ever have. She is an awesome lecture and try to keep everyone entertain by making jokes about her personal life. She is always willing to help like a ton. Her test are the usual but overall a great professor!

I love this teacher. She understands Psychology Statistics is a very hard class but she gives you many chances to improve your grade with extra credit. I passed that class because of extra credit.

Easy A. Off topic in lecture, but assignments and course work is straight forward as well as easy. Very lenient, gives plenty of extra credit that helps to get an easy A. Online textbook required, but she takes opinions of students effectively.

Professor Gibbons was a great professor, really sweet and willing to work with you on anything. She gets off topic a lot with her story telling but her powerpoints are straight from the textbook and the online homework she gives really help out on the tests. Gives lotssss of extra credit, which are usually simple things to do.

There is an online book but it is an easy read. The lectures are slides from the textbook. She always gives chances for easy extra credit. She gives a review that is exactly like the test.

I love this teacher! She really cares about helping her students out. She is not great at answering emails but if you go to her office, she'll help. There are random little attendance quizes at the end of some class periods, but they are easy. The tests are a little hard.. but if you study then you'll easily get a B. Procrastinate+ StudyB

This was the most organized online class I have ever taken. Do your weekly assignments, and read the weekly chapters! All of her tests can be found on Quizlet, just look up her name. She is very slow at putting in grades, but is an easy grader. She truly cares about everyone's progress and texts back within a few hours if you need her help.

She is very friendly and gives A LOT of extra credit. Her tests are a little tricky but overall it's a great class. She tells a lot of personal stories which is cool.

Her lectures are by powerpoint. This was my freshman year so I don't remember if she put them on TRACS or not. At the end of class, she will ask you to answer up to 3 questions with your name at the top for attendance. Tests follow the review word for word. Overall good teacher, just show up and do your work.

I took her intro to psych online class and all i can say was BEST. DECISION. EVER. So easy, not a lot of work, and she is so sweet. Shell give you a checklist each week of what you should be doing, and there are a few extra credit assignments. Exams are not proctored. SOLID CHOICE. Idk about her lecture classes, but (if you can), take her online!!

I loved this class! Professor gibbons truly cares about her students doing well and always offered extra credit. The only thing is, the tests can be tricky and she doesn't mention some of the topics that may appear on the test in her powerpoints. Overall, I'd recommend taking her because she makes class interesting but can sometimes go off topic.
