She'll bore you to death in lectures, but she is very sweet and gives great review sheets before tests.

It is nice to have a class where religion can be discussed openly without fights breaking out.

This class could be confusing but Ms. Otrosko makes the material easy to learn. Also she gives out study guides for tests!

She is very sweet but a little boring. I wish there were more class discussions.

She can be a bit on the boring side sometimes but she is a really nice woman. She used ot be an english teacher so u have to be careful on papers. oh and she gives study guides that make the test totally easy.

Very nice and helpful. She really knows her stuff and she's passionate about it. Study guides help out a great deal for the test.

Thoughtful, kind, helpful and effective. A lot to learn but very doable. Not as much discussion as I hoped but chances to intelectualize on small opinion papers. If you blow a test , you can make it up with extra credit.

Very proper and sweet. Soft voice. Very interested in the subject. Learn more than JUST the religion...goes beyond.

The papers are very involved. More work than you would expect from this type of class. Plenty of extra credit opportunities.

Dude she is the greatest and the easiest. Study guides rule. Everything on her study guide is on the test. Totally recommended

Class can be a bit dull...but projects are personal response and simple. Tons of extra credit...I havent ever picked up my book, just used the study guide and notes from class

The only people that should not take this class is people that can't keep their mouth shut and that are arrogant. She is a really nice lady and gets tired of people walking all over her. Her class has helped me understand diff religions. This a really good and easy class.

Ms.O is a very nice teacher. He voice is very soothing so it is hard to stay awake sometimes. She is open minded and presents religions in an unbiased way. Just make sure you are thorogh with responses and projects and you'll be fine!

She is just a nice person. One day I forgot a reading assignment and emailed it to her when I got home; she took it with no penalty or anything. I have about a 95 in that class, or better. Easy, and interesting.

she seems to be very nice, she just talks very quietly and soft so it makes it hard to hear her sometimes. she is very understanding

Great teacher with organized powerpoints. The test are based on the book and in class powerpoint and are multiple choice/short answer/long aswer. The workload is a little on the high side for this class. If you dont need this class for your major I recommend something with a lighter load.

this class was very interesting but the professor wasn't- she speaks very softly (so sit in the front) she doesn't let you copy notes from her powerpoint. the group project sucked. the extra credits helps out a lot. you never have to read the book- it was a pretty easy call- take this professor!

i didnt like the way she tought.i thought she talked to fast and quiet, which made taking notes kinda hard.she does let you redo projects if you accidentaly do them wrong. there is alot of work for this class. alot of reading and assignments. if you can stay awake youll be fine,if not dont take her.

Though rediculously i passed with a lower grade than expected, she is a fairly nice teacher. I cant blame her for grades, especially b/c each of us usually deserves it. Note: DO NOT be a slacker. Take this course, its VERY interesting. And if some of us just TRIED to read the book, that is interesting too!

Um, don't plagerize the paper in any way. LOL

she's such a sweetheart. mrs. o was one the nicest ladies. she's not always the most entertaining put she does cover everything thats on the test and gives out study guides before the test. if you use the study guides and learn everything it says to learn on their you'll be fine. i think she was a great teacher.

Ms. Otroszko is an awesome teacher! She's very sweet, very clear, and seems to really love teaching. I love her class. The only thing is, she's very quiet, so it's hard to hear her sometimes. But if you sit close to the front of the class, it's all good.

This teacher is so awesome! she's nice and she gives you plenty of opportunities for extra-credit. She does give a pop quiz about once every 3 weeks (but she lets you use ur notes--she's so easy!) TAKE GOOD NOTES!!!! and you will A-ce the class! She's very sweet too! and very interesting!

TAKE GOOD NOTES! her tests come directly from the notes. take notes on her lectures, not only the powerpoints. i made that mistake and it cost me on the first test. dont miss class because you never know when you will miss a pop quiz that she randomly puts in her powerpoints. gives alot of extra credit opportunities and makes religion interesting.

Take good notes - most of her test come from what she says in class. Dont get me wrong questions come from powerpoint but more from what she says. Very interesting class - likes interaction from class. I would definitely recommend her.

SO nice and extremely helpful. I love her lectures using the PowerPoint. I never thought this class would be as interesting as she has made it for me.

She is a nice teacher but if you take her make sure to know EVERYTHING off of the study guide. Also, take notes while she is talking because a lot of her test come from her lectures and not just the powerpoint. This class was interesting.

Very hard class but if you take notes and study everything you will be fine. Go in with an open mind it will help.

Very, very good teacher. She gives a study guide and tests are multiple choice (VERY EASY), a few fill in the blanks, and a few short answers. Pretty much everything is on the study guide. I wasn't interested in the class at all before I took it, but it's my favorite class I've taken. I'd recommend anyone taking this class with her.

I took this class about a year after 9/11, so she spent A LOT of time on Islam. I'm not religious (so I don't have a bias) - but she just ran it into the ground. But whatever, it's an easy class and you'll probably learn a few things about other cultures.

Very nice and sweet lady. I didn't think I would pass this class because of all of the information she gives. When I took the first test I got an A and it was pretty easy. All you have to do is take notes, ask questions, and do the study guide. Everyone who does that will pass the class with an A.

she is not that bad at all,i mean it is boring sometimes,but u will end up passing u know,lot of class work to be done.exams are easy,straight forward from her study guides,read and u shall do well.final was easy,not bad at all

I had her for her hybrid class and so the class went pretty fast paced and you had to do a lot on your own. Otherwise she seemed very knowledgeable on the subjects. Overall, you really have to pay attention and get the visitation project done early. So if you don't mind working then go ahead and take the class.

Professor Otroszko is a knowledgable, helpful, and compassionate teacher. Her lectures are interesting, she gives cool current events assignments, and her worship visitation assignment is a neat project. There were only two tests (midterm & final) and a research paper. I highly recommend her class if taking religion.

This course is very involved! There are written assignments due almost every week. I had to work really hard to pull off an A. Be sure you're willing to work before you take this class. She is a nice lady though.

This class is eye-opening, informative, and highly applicable to understanding today's world. She is a sharp lady and I grew to respect her more and more as the semester passed. Be prepared to work hard and accept criticism, but it's worth it. 1 complaint: only 2 tests for tons of detailed info. Very difficult, no room for bs-ing.

I really liked her class. It is really interesting, and she knows a lot of cool facts about stuff. The hour and fifteen minutes went by fairly quickly. There are 3 tests total (counting the final), but they are not as hard as you think they would be. I liked this class a lot!

Ms.Otroszko is very nice teacher.She actually wants students to get knowledge of every religions.She knows her material and teaches really nice.Read book and pay attention to the class and you will be fine.She give only 3 tests in the whole semester.Her tests are hard but If you study book you will be fine.I make an A in her class.HIGHLY RECOMMDED

Gives journal assignments & current events & expects them to be done each week. Overall, she is a good teacher on the subject of religion. Tests are difficulty and a paper is required I would NOT recommend here take this class but different teacher or take with light course load to difficult.

She is a very sweet and smart lady. Some of her assignments are hard to follow and hard to find on icollege. Her class requires alot of work and attention, but you learn alot.

I learned much from this class. She does give a lot of assignments. I work 25 hours a week and took six classes this sememster. Her assignments took most of my studying time. Religion is her passion; she puts a lot of her time into it and expects you to do the same. Uses iCollege religiously. Take her if you want to learn and have time.

Very passionate about religion. Learned A LOT of great and useful information. Challenging course and time consuming. Test range from easy to hard; prepare for fill in the blank and essays and you'll always be ready. She gives lots of opportunity for extra credit (if you have time between assignments and other classes).

Ok, so all these people are saying her work was too much I work 2 jobs and I am a full time student, she gives you more than enough time to do all the work, she knows alot about religion whatever questions came up she answered she always knew what to say, if you do the homeworks it is an easy A

She is actually a really good teacher. I dont understand all the bad press. She presents the info in an interesting way, readings are good since overview of all types of religions. IF YOU READ AND COMPLETE ASSINGMENTS AND ACTUALLY STUDY there is NO reason not to get a good grade..... Really takes no more than 1-2 hours of work/ week.

She was a descent teacher. A little quiet when talking. I thoroughly enjoyed the class though and her assignments were fun. I definitely recommend taking this class...very enlightening.

Marilyn is a great professor with a profound interest in religion and culuture that made the class very interesting and informative. The workload was slightly higher than my other classes but I learned a lot.

I really liked her as a professor. She does speak very softly but you get used to it. She does give quite a bit of work but I personally didn't find it terribly difficult. However, you should attend class and do the assignments. She's fairly lenient on assignments if you don't get it in on time. She's very sweet an tries to be engaging and helpful.
