Awesome professor. Always did her best to make sure the students were following, but at times, tended to jump from one topic to the next.

Professor Baratian’s class was just as interesting as her. She’s very nice, approachable and funny. I got A’s on everything in her class except the tests. Her class is very fun, I suggest it to anyone who wants an easy but not completely boring class.

She's very nice and very understanding. It was a little annoying when I had to go to my dad's doctor and get a note saying I was there so my absence was excused, but it's really nice that she offers that ability. Some teachers don't even care. If you're absent you're absent. She's really nice. A little absent minded, but so am I.

Awesome Teacher!!! makes sure that you understand it, and you can tell she really loves what she does! make sure to study the notes from class because almost everything on the test is from the notes. NOT boring at all, a great class to have at 8 am in the morning if you need to wake up and start the day with a good laugh! Highly Recommended!!!!!!!!

She is really nice& her class is SO easy! She offers alot of ec &her hw assign. are really simple. You write 3 papers for her &its all opinion based & as long as you answer the questions she's looking for in the syllabus &spell everything right, you are sure to get an A on the papers. Tests (2) are hard BUT do the Vol hrs & it means NO EXAM! :o)

Mrs. Baratian comes on like her class is going to be hard. but her class is easy to follow along with with the movies we watch and her jokes. test are hard, but if you turn in the three (verrrrry easy) papers she asks you to do then you can easily get a good grade. if your going to take psych take her class. it's well worth it :]

Shes a great teacher. Very easy papers to write. All you do in class is take notes. Never bouring and class time goes by fast. You dont even have to being your book to class. Just study a lot for the tests and youll do fine. and the quizes just study your notes.

Very sweet and knowledgeable about her study. 90% of the time available during stated office hours, explains the information in layman's terms and its not dry at all. Papers are easy, try not to ****, she'll see it. Tests are difficult, make sure you review. She really cares about her students! Overall, loved her! Wonderful person!

Don't sit up front or if you ever pull out your phone, she's on top of you like a hawk. Pysch is such a fun topic, she makes it boring with tons of lecture and note taking. Videos are mostly outdated, and the tests are hard. That being said, the papers are super easy, and she gives bonus points any and everything. Easy, although boring, class.

she's a great teacher. read the syllabus and do exactly what it says....she doesn't accept "i didn't know" since yes you did if you read the syllabus!

Easy class. She does a good job trying to keep things interesting. Two test that are fairly easy. A couple of papers that she grades very easy pretty much as long as it makes sense you get an A. Shows a lot of movies and offers service learning in place of the final as an option. She kept me who has no interest in phsycology very interested.

Take Ms. Baratian's Community Involvement class!! It's a lot of fun and teaches you so much outside of the classroom. I had a great time and would recommend the course to anyone needing a social science credit =)

Amazing professor! Sweet woman, very understanding. Easy papers, comprehensive tests, great lectures. Lots of good movies shown in class relating to psychology. As long as you have a sense of humor, you'll be fine in her class. Easy grader on papers. Awesome class!!

Baratian is enthusiastic about her feild, but you often find her telling you she doesn't know, hasnt checked up on the latest research or whatever,but will give you extra credit if you find research on said topics. tests are hard (6 week summer class) and we covered a lot of material in the book but the reading wasnt bad, overall a good class

She is a great teacher and tells jokes that arent always funny but she tells you what is on the tests. Mostly just take notes and watch video clips. We never used the book in class, always left at home and she tells you if you need to read some for test.

Tests are hard

Very strict about phone use in the classroom. Don't even bring it with you or you will get kicked out! Attendance is very strict and don't fall asleep. Tests are hard but the papers are easy if you have good grammar. Lectures are fairly entertaining and she likes to hear your stories relevant to the lecture.

Her class was one of the best I've ever taken! I may be difficult at retaining information, but I managed to do so extremely well in this course. Lots of fun experiments throughout and I actually enjoyed the papers. General psych wasn't difficult by any stretch but still very enjoyable

For some reason she seemed to have a personal vendetta against me and always gave me a 'B' but other than that the class was easy.

Fantastic instructor! You can tell she really enjoys what she does and makes you feel at home in her class. Tests are only difficult if you don't study. Her lecture is complete enough that you wouldn't need the text book but she makes sure to throw in questions from the book just to make sure you read the text. Writing assignments were fun!

I loved Ms. B. She is a caring person and it shows in her teaching. She is animated and very interesting to listen too. Her tests are not easy but if you study you are fine. I loved the writing assignments but be sure you use the Writing Center.

Ms. Baratian is one of the best professors I have ever had. She is very thorough in her lessons, and gives you all of the information needed to pass her exams. The exams are challenging and you must study to score well. She is very willing to help and is always available to meet with students. I highly recommend her course.

Prof Baratian is an odd character. Her tests are few and far between but not so tough so long as you stick closely to her reviews. Reading the textbook is beneficial to a certain degree, but honestly, as long as you pay attention to her lectures, the textbook is pretty much useless. Make sure you attend EVERY class because she grades attendance!

Ms. Baratian is an amazing professor! I took her General Psychology course, in which I loved. So, I also took her Honors Community Involvement class, which is extraordinary! It is a very hands-on class, but very rewarding as well! The only downfall to this class is the lack of structure at times because of it being an open-ended Honors course.

Ms. Baratian was fun! I highly recommend taking her Honors SOW class, if you qualify for honors. At times she was very ditsy and unfocused. But the class was fantastic. She values her students input, and I loved that. She is a fair grader, and she also expects a lot from her students. I would definitely take her again.

Super fun teacher! A bit eccentric but generally a fun woman. Lectures are clear and she give review sheets which is nice because you need to study for tests. Also I recommend not sitting front row :) I highly recommend her!

A fantastic professor. She is very energetic and clear with her lectures and bases her tests on the lectures rather than the book. Gives a review sheet on CANVAS two weeks prior to the test, if you study you'll be just fine. Would take her again.

Offers random bonus points for many different things. Take LOTS of notes, & study them like crazy because it will ALL be on the test, not joking. You don't need the book because tests are based on her lectures and your notes. Gives 3 papers,all Gordon Rule,not too hard just be very detailed and know APA well. She is more than willing to work with you if you have any problems, and she is also very encouraging. She is by far my favorite professor I have had in the past three years.

She was by far the best professor I ever had at efsc. She was one of the first professors I ever had as a dual enrolled student and she genuinely cared about all of her students. If you study, and put in the effort, you will get an A.

The tests given are made to confuse you. She is nice, takes attendance very seriously with no forgiveness and is happy to stop and explain anything you may be confused on. The pop quizzes are given on assignment due dates and one was given right after a test, so beware.

Very energetic, the papers are long, but not too hard so long as you mind your grammar. This is coming from someone who got a c in comm 1 and hadn't got below an A on either paper. Offers a lot of opportunity for bonus points for participating missing 3 or more classes will affect your grade significantly. Caring teacher, would recommend.

Great course if you're looking for something off the beaten path. Class is student driven. We picked the textbook and the syllabus would fluctuate based off our decisions. She is pretty cut and dry once a due date is set though so no leniency there. Fun and different, and a lot is to be done outside of classroom time.

I struggle with writing but I asked for help or suggestions this teacher did her absolute best to help me. Very few papers however, she has very specific expectations for those papers so pay attention and don't procrastinate. Fall behind and you may struggle to catch up. Over all I would take again!

Thiswas my first class I twenty years and no clueabout writing a paper. The processor was very patient and understanding as long as your have half a brain and willing to try your hardest. I came thru with an A and A fair understanding of apa and mla now.

I took this class over the summer, and it was pretty easy. Two papers total, which were fine except that we had to use APA instead of MLA. Other than that, discussion boards were just 5 questions answered in paragraph form, and i found all of the quiz answers on quizlet. The final is proctored, but is easy if you do the study guide.

This was mt first class that I took at ESFC, and I fully enjoyed it. Because of this professor, I am considering changing my degree to Psychology. I fully enjoyed this class. Beware, you need to study for the tests/exams and review over your papers.

She is a great professor! Definitely take her in class instead of online. She is a people person and is really passionate about psychology. She is a tough grader, but she only is because she wants you to improve! The APA paper at the end of the semester was not bad. APA is easy when you know how to. Plus, that is what the writing center is for.

This was my favorite teacher this semester; she inspired me to change my major to Psychology. All her classes are lecture-based though they are far from boring; she is great at getting people to participate and allows us to really soak everything in. She only has a few major essays and tests to do, which I preferred. Definitely recommend her!

Professor Baratian is an AMAZING teacher. she grades hard but only does it because she cares about you, she gives great feedback which makes it easy to fix our work. I really hated her class at first but she taught me to work harder and do the job right to get a good grade. no easy stuff but do what she tells you to do and you will pass the class.

While I do not like Psychology, I loved this class! She's a super easy grader, super helpful, and very nice. The workload is minimal. We wrote 3 easy papers and had 3 tests (multi-choice and true/false; no cumulative tests). Definitely try to take her class if you can. She presents the material fairly, versus shoving it down your throat.

She showed sympathy towards my past experiences and responded quickly through email. Also, her feedback is incredibly insightful. It is an honor to have been able to participate in her class. Professor Baratian's course was amazing, there are so many extra credit opportunities that I had a 125+ grade for most of the semester. She is really good at explaining concepts and I would absolutely recommend taking her courses.

I had an 8-week online class so no final exams. The class is Smartbook, Discussion, and Proctored Quiz (not video recorded). Discussion posts are graded heavily therefore make sure to follow the instructions perfectly! There is also a 1000-word paper you must write on a childhood event that shaped you. Class is easy if you pace yourself!

Professor Baratian's PSY2012 class was a breeze. With minimal work and easy grading, I still managed to learn a lot. unstuck ai was a lifesaver for exam prep. Definitely recommend this class if you're looking for an easy A!
