GO MUZZI!
THis Guy is tight peretty easy class just pay attention and go to class and he will tell you what is on the test. i did not even have to read the book and still got a B+.
good teacher. knows his stuff. attendance not required, but recommended. take notes and listen, and you'll be fun. Isn't an Easy A, but you learn alot, and it isn't hard. Found his class interesting.
awesome guy. his grading is often nit-picky, but the material is fun and he knows what he's talking about.
Awesome Teacher!!! He's very helpful. Offers tutoring sessions right before tests. Be sure that you attend class because he offers very useful explanations and examples.
not helpful
Macro is pretty tough with him. But, he still is an awesome teacher. Be prepared to learn alot. Hopefully, it's just because it's his first time teaching Macro. GO TO THE STUDY SESSIONS. Attendance is optional, but you gotta go to class to pass this class. Or, you'll be so confused.
one of the best best professors USF does have to offer. Extremely knowledgable, enthusiastic about the subject, not an easy professor but fair and more than willing to give support every individual student. ATTEND REVIEW SESSIONS!!
MARIO!!!! This guy is the man! You can call him whatever u want Mario, Muzzi, Professor M, you name it. But he is one of my fav teachers, extremely helpfun, very fair grading, one thing thats a must is his review sessions, VERY helpfull and always given the night before a test, oh and get good grades on your problem sets, easy A's! MUZZI RULLLEEES!
NO good at Macro. Everyone I asked had poor grades with him. Kind of cochy.
He is a hard teacher, take him if you want to learn about Economics and law. He will help you if you need it. He is a very fair professor. You can get on his bad side if you are a slaker tho.

He leads a very fast paced lecture based class. His quizzes and midterm and final, I feel are POOR measures of what he teaches us in lecture. Perhaps, from studying our notes, we should do well on the quizzes, etc...I guess not. He should just teach micro, I've heard he's very good, challenging and clear with that subject...Macro isn't hit thing!
This guy is terrible. If you are an athlete or someone who misses class for any reason avoid him. Avoid him for class and for life. The class isn't that hard, but if you get on his bad side he will go out of his way to be a prick to you. There are too many other good micro teachers than to even consider this guy.
He is a tough teacher. U have to be in class everyday to know the materials. He's very perfect and neat. Hard but very good at explaining stuff + giving out examples. Funny too. I do not recommend to people who are athletes or people who don't show up to class often. He asks u questions to see if u know the stuff. Overall he's a very good teacher!
Professor Muzzi is a great teacher! He's not an easy teacher by any means, so if you're looking for a blow-off class, don't take him. But he really knows his stuff, and I've learned a lot from him. He always gives great review sessions before quizes or exams. He's a very helpful, intelligent, and good-looking professor! :)
he is definitely a good teacher. you learn a lot from his lectures, but seriously, this teacher does not know how to grade. he finds flaws in everything that you do in your problem sets and quizzes. his grading is a poor measure of your performance in class. i would not recommend him for anyone who is lookin for an easy A.
the class is strictly lectured based. the homework and tests are quite difficult HOWEVER muzzi is extremely helpful and is willing to help you all the time. i definitely recommend him to everyone who is serious about learning and would like to maximize their money spent on attending USF. hard class. hard grading. great teacher!
Dont take this A*****e; attempts to find flaws in everything you do. He is also really arrogant. His measure of grading is ridiculous do not take him.

This guy is a dickhead! He counts your Hw as late if you're 5 minutes late. You have to be in class in order to do well in his clas b/c his hw and tests are based on his lectures. Atheletes stay away for this italian dude!
He is one of the best teacher that USF can offer. His class is rather difficult and you have to attend all classes to know what he's teaching because textbook is not being used often. Reviews before exams are a must to attend coz he will give you topics that will be tested. Best and Very Responsible teacher.
had him for micro too. i learned the hard way that u need to attend every lecture and review sesion cuz u will rarely use the book. essentially u could have the book as reference but thats it. tough material but excellent teacher. i wouldn't have taken econ with anyone else but him he keeps u on ur toes. good if u like a challenge!
I had Muzzi the first semester of my freshman year, and I realized college is harder than high school. Muzzi is a great teacher with easy examples that help you understand the stuff. Class attendence is STRONGLY suggested, and even though his problem sets are difficult, they teach you for exams. dont need the book. must want to learn and study.
Loved the guy i had him my freshmen fall semester and now i'm a senior still saying wassup to him. he is hard and very strict. i came into class late on a test day and received a zero. I was pissed but realized that he just wants students to know that you cant get away with**** anymore
i had him for micro & macro. yes he is hard. but dude it's college, what do you expect? it's hella easy as long as you go to class. if you wanna be able to skip, dont take him. he takes his lectures and applies them to the real world so it makes learning them alot easier. take notes, study them, & you're set. great teacher!
Muzzi is a cool teacher. Attendance is manditory especially at the end of the semester, because he sometimes gives out easy extra credit just because you came to class. Hes really hard on those that dont come to class. Hes cocky and will try to trick you on tests but writes really good notes. PAY ATTENTION, do all homework and you will succeed.
He is the Man. He will work you hard, but in turn he STRIVES to help you learn. Great lectures, great notes, great examples, extra review sessions before tests to HELP YOU. In college not all Prof's give a crap about you or helping you learn. HE DOES. You have to earn your A, but its worth it, and he wants to give it to you but hes no push over!
I had a bad experience in my micro class and was dreading taking macro. But I really enjoyed Muzzi's lectures and he really prepares you for the tests. I can see how people may think he is hard, but if you go to class, you will do well. He is definately one of the best teachers that I have had at USF.
not someone i would recommend so much. overall ok teacher, a hard class to catch up if ur mind wanders around.
Great teacher... loved him. Very helpful and very approachable. I'm an econ major, and I enjoyed the class. The problem sets and quizzes are kinda hard, but if you do your work and participate, you can get a good grade. The A you have to work for, but it's worth it. He's funny too.
I LOVE MUZZI!
I took hi inter. micro. The lectures were easy, hw and midters were hard. Not the best teacher, but not the worst either.
An extremely challenging teacher! However, he makes getting a B- feel like a medal of honor lol. Even though he might piss the crap out of you sometimes, he does so because he really does care about your learning. Definitely one of the better teachers at USF. If you want to actually learn something about econ., I strongly recommend taking him.
I had Professor Muzzi for both Micro and Macro. He's a really nice guy, and a good teacher. His class is difficult, but if you go to class, and pay attention, he teaches you everything you need to know. Even though class isn't mandatory except on test days, it's very hard to catch-up if you miss a lecture. Overall, he's a nice guy, and a great teac
I love Muzzi! he's definitely the one of the best teachers i've ever met. He's funny, easygoing and really prepares you for the test. Choose him!!!
Prof. Muzzi is a genuinely entertaining guy. He moonlights as an attorney, so naturally he likes to introduce the legal side of things into his lectures. The real-world examples he uses to illustrate underlying theory are both hilarious and helpful. His exams are extremely challenging; however, he provides ample help when needed. Highly recommended
The best!!
Great prof, yet extremely difficult. Will make you learn the material well. Doesn't take attendance, but you must go to ever class to do well.
His sessions are very interactive. The students get a wide exposure of economics at Micro level.
Muzzi's class was really hard and I had never had to drop a class in my life until I had him. The quizzes and homework are hard, but it's still very possible to get a good grade. The midterm however Save yourself the trouble and just take another professor. :)
Attendance not mandatory, but best because of notes. Quizzes/hwk straight from notes, never uses book. But the book can be helpful. His class was hard though so I dropped him before the midterm. FYI: If you fail the midterm, <50% chance to pass at all, so you will want to drop. I'll admit though, he was hot, haha ;)
Best ECON teacher ever! You'll learn a lot from his class. I took both his micro and macro. Lecture is very clear and interesting, but you will need to work HARD to get a good grade. 4 quizzes and 4 HW, each one of them is 5% of your final grade. 1 midterm and final, 25% and 35% of final grade. Take him if you really want to learn Econ. If not, do
Attendance isn't mandatory. He gives you the choice but most students realize it's crucial to be in class for the lectures. His lectures are easy to follow and he relates examples so we can better understand it (such as using Jessica Alba/Eva Longoria in examples). He's prob the best prof I've ever had. And he's definitely a HOT HOT HOT PROFESSOR.
easy class if u can really follow his lecture. He will gives everyone a full score in one test out of total 4, and a full score from 4 homework out of 4. He's good on what he does.
HONESTLY I love him so so much!!!! I am an international student and he attracts my attention to economic world. He is so funny and hot, interesting lectures. Although the tests are hard and he seems a tough grader, however, if you want to challenge yourself, you would fall in love with him!! TAKE HIM--NO REGRET!! HE'S A BRAVO GUY!!
Not an easy class, his lectures move extremely fast and can be hard to follow. he is very knowledgeable, and explains things well. but he talks very fast and covers tons of information in every class. never used the book, waste of money. tests and quizzes are super hard using totally different example than in class, which makes it even harder.
great prof!
He is great!
He's a great professor, not required to attend class, but attending class makes things very clear. Provides test review session before each test/quiz, which is very very helpful. Reasonable teacher, he keeps lectures interesting with modern examples.
GREAT PROFESSOR! i really had an easy time understanding his lectures. I haven't taken a quiz from him yet but I feel like it's all smooth sailing from here. Just follow what he has to say and you'll do fine. really great.
THE BEST TEACHER IN THE WORLD YOU WILL NEVER REGRET CHOOSING HIM HE IS THE OLY ONE THAT KNOWS HOW TO TEACH IN THE ENTIRE WORLD BEST TEACHER EVER< HIS CLASS IS CHALLENGING, but HE IS AWSOME !!!
He is a good teacher but surprisingly tough. He is very helpful but he lectures too fast to completely understand the graphs that you are copying from ze board. the first quiz was the only easy part of the semester. He gives a 50/50 on one hw. in all you recieve 4 Quizzes, 4 Test, 4 Problem Sets. Generally a very witty guy with a good sense of humo
You will have to study often and understand the subject for this course. Attendance isn't required but attend every class because quizzes/exams are based off of his lecture primarily. The books only helps with things you really have a difficult time understanding and I'd say it would be optional to get (don't buy it bran new). He's really hot too!
Great teacher. Can be very difficult material, but if you stay on top of your stuff and attend class you should be fine. You'll learn a ton, and Muzzi is a really cool guy.
He's a very nice guy. I did bad on the first quiz.. but after that I managed to get A's on the rest of quizzes and tests. This class can be difficult... but macroeconomic is about logic. He's a good looking guy though. Honestly, i couldn't stop smiling in his class lol
Muzzi is a really hard grader. But, he keeps your attention in his lectures and he's easy to understand. He moves at a really fast pace so make sure you're good at keeping up moving through material quickly. Great teacher, learned a lot, just really hard to get good grades.
He's good looking i'll give him that lol he doesn't take attendance but it's smart to go since all of his quizzes and tests are all based off his lecture. he also hates it when ppl show up late. quizes are hard, but you sort of get a hang of it after awhile. there are only 4 hw set problems, 4 quizzes, 1 midterm , and a final for his class.
Excellent teacher. Highly recommended because of his ability to make students understand hard concepts easily. Attendance is not mandatory however, if you do not attend, you will most likely fail the class. I would def. recommend this teacher to anyone interested in macroeconomics.
Extremely great teacher. Helpful and interesting. Difficult quizs tho
Like serously if you are a business or Econ major ! professor Muzzi will change your life. If you really want to learn and build a strong Econ or business foundation TAKE HIM HES THE BEST TEACHER OUT THERE !!!! BEST BEST BEST TEACHER!! challenging but again the best teacher !
Very good teacher! He makes everything interesting. Although the actual material is hard to understand he does a great job of explaining everything step by step.
Great teacher but you HAVE TO STUDY!
He is the best math/econ teacher I have ever had. Minimal Homework, but you are screwed if you don't show up to class, he doesn't take attendance, but for your own sake take good notes, it makes the tests and homework manageable. This is not an east class, but he teaches to well that it makes learning economics FUN!!!
Awesome
I learned a lot when i went to class. If you dont attend class, you really miss a lot of things.. hes a good professor, but u have to pay attention.
Professor Muzzi is the best teacher I have had at USF. He simplifies economics through his examples in class. Attendance is not mandatory, but you are going to want to attend. If you put the time in, you will get a great grade, and you will take away a lot from the course
Muzzi is amazing. Crystal clear and comes off a bit strict but really wants you to learn. He continuously uses examples and as long as you thoroughly take notes you will do great! Go to his office hours he's so helpful :) Made me love econ!
He is definitely a great teacher and he teaches econ pretty clear for newbies. You have to keep up with all the homework and do well on the tests because he doesnt give extra credits. He strives for student progress so dont be lazy. He doesnt help much outside the class but if you dont skip class and do the work, you will do good.
Prof. Muzzi teaches really clearly. Class isn't mandatory, but it's essential to attend to do well in his class since his lectures are what the quizzes and exams are about. His examples are great and help to understand the concepts. As long as you ask questions where you're confused and take/review your notes well, you'll be ok!
Muzzi is a good professor. The only thing I didn't like about his teaching style is that you don't get any feedback on attempting to demonstrate your understanding of the material until the exams. I'd appreciate more small assignments to get a feel for how well I understand things.
wow this class is pretty tough.. Like everybody else's saying no doubt that he is a great prof tho..u gotta study pretty hard.. i wouldnt take him again tho..
best teacher ever ! He is a lawyer so he knew the material really well and he would always come up with really good stories to make the student understand the concepts. his tests are very hard and he is a tough grader. take him if you get the chance because he is amazing
He have huge knowledge of the economy. Class start out his and easy, but get tough later. If you don't study the notes right after class for 30 min, use the textbook to clarify what was not clear during his verbal lecture, andor go to his office hour, you have a huge chance of struggling to even in his class. Study his notes 30 min a day!!!
Great guy. Really nice. Definitely not easy.
He provide great examples to help you understand econ topic. Hard tests and you most likely have to study a little everyday. Using flashcards to study terms and graph definitely helped get A in class
Tough class and must really study to even pass the class unless you are extraordinary person or someone who have economic background
Tough class. Almost everyone need to study or you will fail for sure
Muzzi was tough but if you study on a daily basis, you could get at least a C. I recommend students who wanted to have a strong understanding in macroecon to take this professor
He is a lawyer and really know macroecon. He is the hardest professor I ever had in USF. He is a tough grader with hard tests. Average in the class is a C.
He treats students as students. By all means that the students are entirely responsible for themselves. If you want to have an A you have to study out of class at least 5 hours per week. Never ask him for an extra credit, he would be upset.
I actually really liked him. Instead of just presenting material in a powerpoint presentation, he talks and writes on the board. The material is easy to understand and he gives relatable examples that make it even more understandable. The quizzes and tests are hard if you don't study, but fine if you study (even just the night before).
Professor Muzzi was great. The course itself is hard and tests were hard but he is an amazing teacher. Lectures are interesting and easy to understand. Do not skip class because his homework, quizzes, and tests are lecture based. Also, he is really good looking.
Great teacher.
Muzzi's lectures are clear and concise. Attend every class or you WILL fall behind. You shouldn't need a textbook if you show up and pay attention (and take notes!). Homework assignments are tough but useful, quizzes and tests are tough but if you study you will be fine.
Don't take him unless you have clear understanding of economics.
He's a lawyer, so yeah he's got a bit of an attitude. Even though I took principles of micro with him, it was one of the tougher classes I've taken. Makes you work for everything, he's not a by the book professor so attend lectures and take notes. At the end of the day if you want to learn he's the professor to take.
Took micro with Muzzi and wow what an amazing experience. I never thought a person could make such a dry subject so interesting. I really recommend using his "office hours" to fully understand the material of you are struggling. He's funny, charming and definitely knows his way around this subject.
He really delights in making students work for it. You will want to cry a few times during the semester. He has an attitude and can get easily frustrated. Homework answer keys were constantly wrong and it felt like being a professor came second to his work as a lawyer. That said, he is a great lecturer. Just be prepared to work hard- a B is do-able
Great class! Only lecture where I didn't want to fall asleep. ATTENDANCE AND PARTICIPATION IS EVERYTHING. Attendance and participation are not mandatory nor directly a part of your grade but you need to be active in every lecture in order to pass. Not a tough subject but you will have to work for it.
Very tough grader and don't ever ask for extra credit.
Took his macro class at UC Berkeley. By far one of the hardest classes probably due to pace of the summer session. Problem sets are 25% of grades so get Chegg for solutions and work with a group. Learn the problem sets inside and out as well as use his multiple choice review prior to exams to prep.
He has a big ego. His tests are about how fast you can grind the problems. For example, class is an hour long; on quiz day, you have 30 min for the quiz and releases you early. Don't take him.
Took macro at Cal. Excellent, clear lectures, might be slightly content heavy but that's just the nature of macroeconomics. Go to class, listen, understand the lectures and graphs, and you should at least a B+. Generous extra credit on the exams. Everyone here complaining either shouldn't be in university, or can't handle a normal college class.
Mario is a great professor that you can learn a lot from, but go to class! More importantly take good notes because he doesn't use the book. HW is more tough than quizzes. He's a nice guy and has his lectures down to a science. Grading scale is nice too. 88-100 A, 75-87 B, 65-74 C. HW 20% Quizzes 20% Midterm, 25%, Final 35%.
There are four problem sets/homeworks, 4 quizzes, 1 midterm, and 1 final. His homework is based off of his lectures, so taking notes is a great idea. He never uses the textbook/assigns homework based off of the textbook. Majority of his quizzes are formatted the same and he gives headings that are similar to his lecture outlines.
Great professor! Pay attention in class and make sure to take copious notes. Do not miss any of his lectures and keep the book close for personal use while doing his work.
Favorite professor at USF. Took him for 3 different classes and learned a lot. You do have to work though, I would recommend him for Econ majors or minors who really care about getting a good understanding of the entry level micro and macro classes.
Honestly, Professor Muzzi is a great teacher and I learned a lot from his lectures. He will make you shed sweat and tears, but he mentions the class is not easy on the first day. His tests were ridiculously difficult, but if you study his guides and your lecture notes in depth it is possible to get a good grade in his class. Do not skip class.
Muzzi does get frustrated very easily and often makes other students feel stupid. You really have to work hard if you want a good grade and his tests are not easy either. You must take notes every class and you better write down everything he says. His final is on everything in the course and each midterm feels like it's set up for you to fail.
There's a textbook for the class but I promise that you won't need it as long as you pay attention to his lectures. It's definitely lecture heavy but he makes it so easy to grasp the concepts. Most of the homework and test questions are based on his lectures. MY FAVORITE PROFESSOR. nice voice, easy on the eyes. Learned so much in his classes.
Professor Muzzi knows what he's doing. His tests are very long and difficult, but his classes are worth it for the lectures. With background in law, he was able to give great insight into the real world and Institutional Economics. His tests and problem sets are very hard, but I must stress, he is worth taking. One of my favorite professors ever.
Amazing Professor, recommend everyone to take him at least once, but be ready to work!
Really strict professor, but you will learn a lot. He goes through the material really fast. You don't need the book at all, just don't ever miss a class. Don't be late either, he will be pissed. Take him if you genuinely like economics.
Muzzi is a good professor. He can be a bit intimidating from his sheer amount of knowledge, but he knows the material well. If you respectfully participate and work hard you should do well in his class. He remembers the students that do well and try hard!!
Really funny professor who knows a lot, he made me remember why I liked economics in the first place. Behavioral economics books were cheap like $20 in total, super glad I took his class
Chill guy as long as you stay on his good side so don't try to pull one over on him. I've taken a few of his classes now and always learn a ton from them and he makes them interesting
Professor Muzzi expects way too much of students and forgets that they have other classes. Two tests and a final exam make up 65% of your grade and they are super hard. He's not nice either, I remember him saying to a girl in class, "You go to USF, you should be able to afford a webcam." He can be pretty rude and doesn't care about his students
He really enjoys making students work for their grade. He has a big ego and the tests are so long they seem like theyre set up to make you fail
he was lazy. gives vague answers to questions yet expects specific responses. likes to take jabs at students but gets sassy when you jab back. He thinks that this vague system of lecture is for the students benefit but I think it's kind of convenient since that allows him to do the least amount of work. avoid if you can, if not stay ahead of wrk.
Class material is interesting BUT Muzzi makes it a MISERABLE experience. Disappointing to see such professor at a "Jesuit University." It's no secret he doesn't even respect university values. He is one of the rudest and most unapproachable professors I have encountered. He doesn't care about students success. Difficult test. DON'T TAKE HIM.
He follows his outline, gives vivid examples, and is good at storytelling...He knows what he's teaching and doesn't even have to look at any materials. And u have to do ur own lecture notes. There are 2 midterms - there r so many Qs that you'd better do it fast. The final exam covers many formulas/concepts - review your lecture note carefully!
Tough class but you learn so much! Business majors typically struggle in his class! Interesting with hard tests and quizzes! He is here to teach not to give you an easy A
I met a lawyer in San Francisco who took his class 10-20 years ago! She is a great lawyer and told me how difficult his classes was! It's rewarding and very difficult
Challenging class! Only take if you are ready to spend hours on econ! Very few A in class. Muzzi teaches at a very high level
