Professor Perez is one of the best professors that I have had at the University. He is extremely nice and efficient. His classes never takes up the whole class period, and you definitely learn the material. There is one large Cybertext project, and Prof. Perez divides it up and helps you. Take this class! Prof. Perez is the man!!!

take him for acc 212. he knows how to teach. he is very clear and direct in his teaching; he doesn't lag or drag. this makes it even easier for his students to learn a lot. he usually finishes early and then uses the remainder of the time meeting with students that are confused or need help. his 3 exams are mc based on lectures and handouts.

Really clear and an awesome guy in general, his tests have a couple problems and then 30+mult choice. The tests combine the text and class notes so you need to go to both, but he tells you exactly what is on the test so you know what to study.

He is by far the best accounting teacher in the business school. He actually explains everything and tells you what to expect for the test. The material is still difficult for Intermediate Accounting but having him as a teacher makes the class for more enjoyable. Would definitely recommend.

ok heres the deal: He is an amazing teacher. Very CLEAR on the material, very engaging and lets you out early a lot of the times, plus basically no h.w. and hes funny! PROBLEM: his tests are VERY long. People in my class rarely finished, theyre not hard, but LONG, think: 100 multiple choice and 5 Short answers. You will feel very stressed on tests!

Perez is the best teacher I've had in my life, and makes accounting interesting. His tests are easy, but time is an issue. I wish he taught more subjects, because it's impossible not to learn from him. Taking his morning classes is worth it, and he almost always lets out early. Take him no matter what, for 211 and 212.

People say hes a great professor and to take him but DONT!!! hes very good at explaining the material but his exams are VERY long and very HARD. He builds you up to break you down. He may be a good teacher but his class is horrible. You will not get a good grade in this class unless if you study for about a week before the test.

Class is easy but the tests are LONG. No one ever finished on time (especially the second test). Dont use the book and when he assigns HW, he doesn't collect it like he says he will. Make sure to do the building blocks project through out the semester and not a week before it is due.

Great teacher and a good guy. His lessons are very clear and he makes sure everyone understands. Don't underestimate the difficulty though; you need to read the book and do all the practice questions to earn an A - and of course go to class! But Professor Perez is always willing to help and is super patient if you need help.

One of the best professors at UM! He is very easy to understand and tries to make class more interesting and he always lets us out early. Tests are not easy, but they really are not that hard. He tells you exactly what will be on the test and how difficult the problems will be, so as long as you study 2 days before the test you will be fine.

Took him for Financial Acct for Lawyers - Fall 2011. He's a top tier graduate level professor, period. He's not easy, but he's crystal clear about what you need to know for the exams, he's excellent at communicating the subject matter, and he'll help you as much as you need. Quirky sense of humor kept class moving along. Awesome guy.

Professor Perez is great! Although I feel that the first test that we had was too long, it is possible to do well in ACC211 if you put in the effort. He teaches the material very clearly and effectively, and he is the perfect teacher for ACC211 since he knows that basically all of the material is new and unfamiliar. He made me love accounting!

Explains things well. Very organized and thorough. Laid back guy, but test can be rather challenging. But you really have to study hard and practice using examples that aren't just based on concept. Timing on tests are a problem too. Not an easy A, but who knows, you may do better than me. Not sure how much he curves (haven't received grade yet)

BEST ACCOUNTING PROFESSOR AT UM! I can't believe he made me like Accounting differently from my professor in ACC 211. TAKE HIM even if his class is 8 AM, he is soooooooo worth it!

His class is not very hard, but if you need to know the handouts very well. Attendance is not mandatory, but highly recommended. He is always willing to help you. The only thing that I do not like about this class is that he does not spend enough time to explain the concept behind the numbers. But overall a great professor.

The only challenge for some people is that his exams are time consuming.

He is cool I found his tests to be time crunched which really got me on the first one. He repeats himself a lot which is confusing if you catch on quick to things. Apparently, Accounting 212 can be your butter or lemons, so study to find out.

Financial accounting was extremely difficult for me so going into managerial I was nervous. Professor Perez has made this class incredibly enjoyable. He gives tons of example problems in class which he bases the tests off of so its easy to follow. Make sure to attend class though because he really breaks it down and explains everything.

I took acc212 with prof Perez. He is an excellent teacher, he explains all the chapter very well. Always willing to help and make the class interesting. Attendance isn't mandatory but you shouldn't skip class because every class we work on a problem. Tests are hard, be sure to plan ahead to study and re-do all the HW exercises.

Professor Perez is really good at teaching accounting, he provides very clear explanations on how to solve different homework and exam problems. If you go to class you will learn a lot of the accounting basics used in business. I found the course very useful.

Prof. Perez is a great choice for accounting. I took him online, so I cannot speak for how he is in person, but his online class was a breeze. All of the tests were completely open note and he gave us plenty of time to complete them. He is a super nice guy and does a great job of explaining difficult concepts.

If you have to take ACC211/212 take Perez. Exams can be tough but he tells you the writing questions that are on the tests. Super easy going, and attendance is not mandatory but definitely go to his classes or else you'll probably fail.

Professor Perez is an amazing professor. Yes, his tests are EXTREMELY difficult, but he wants his students to pass and do well. Please go to his office hours, he will explain any question you may have. Although his tests are very difficult to pass, he is excellent at teaching. As long as you do your best and show you care, you will pass.

There's no reason an accounting professor should be funny, but Professor Perez manages to be! You can get a good idea of how his class is from the other ratings, but here's a quick rundown: HW is manageable (takes time though) and tests are surprisingly difficult (redo the sheets he gives you to do well + slight curve at the end of the year).

Coming from someone who dropped accounting with Levine and thought I would NEVER understand accounting, Perez is amazing. Go to class, listen, and ask questions and you will do great. The most amazing professor I have had at UM. I am convinced he can explain accounting to a 3 year old. Tests can be long and tedious but he tells us exactly what is coming so once you prepare you will do well. Extremely helpful in his office hours as well with anything you need help with. TAKE HIM.

Prof. Perez is an excellent Accounting professor at the U. His exams are difficult however, if studied ahead of time, 90%+ on each is possible. Connect assignments and the Cybertext project account for your grade and he checks for completion. He is very accessible and asks many questions; there is no reason you should fail!

Perez does his best with a course that can get really tedious. He has great sarcastic humor if you're into that. Exams aren't as hard as the other reviews say; if you just study you'll be fine. If you don't study, no way you will do well.

SO AWESOME, straight to the point, goes quickly but kindly answers Q's, we leave like 20 minutes early every time. Notesheet front and back for the 2 exams not sure for the last one yet. 1st exam was so hard, 2nd was way easier and straightforward. 10/10 would recommend super friendly and supportive of students

With out a doubt one of the best proffesors here at UM for accounting. He makes it very easy to understand liek very easy. Everything he has on the test he gives out in practice worksheets. Super nice and chill guy. Cancels class alot and most of his classes he only goes for half of it. You would be stupid to not take him for accounting 212

Professor Perez is an awesome teacher! He's always available outside class and his lectures are engaging. Attendance isn't required, but going to class is necessary to pass. Homework is easy, exams are hard, especially the first, but study and you'll do well. Also slight curve at the end. Put in effort, show up, and you'll get a good grade.

First test is hard try to study hard for it and do as best as possible. The next two tests are much more reasonable. He does round the class at the end of the class as a result of this. Do the rest of the assignments and should be fine. No mandatory attendance but hand outs are only given in class and he does teach well so i recommend go to class.

Perez really cares about his tax classes and students. There is so much information and rules for tax that it can be a lot at times. I highly recommend knowing the problems from class for the exam to do well. The course could probably be a bit easier, but its probably for the best since most are accounting majors who are continuing with this major.

I took the 3 hour class. Professor Perez is very caring, made the class engaging and let us out early. Exams are based on worksheets and notes. A little difficult but very fair if you study the worksheets and make a good cheat sheet. He is also always willing to help in office hours. Very funny and makes the class enjoyable. I would take it again.
