I took this course for dual enrollment. Very easy and interesting, I used to like art but now I like it even more. There's 2 tests in which he gives thorough reviews for. 2 papers about some paintings.. very easy and fun..

The professor is extremely lenient. He gives so many chances for extra credit. There should be no reason to complain about a bad grade. The content on the 2 exams is the material in the notes. Mr.Vazquez is a cool guy. He goes preety quickly but it wasn't his fault. We only had about 5 class meetings because it was a compressed course. He managed to teach me a lot of information in such a short time. His tests are exactly on his notes. If you come to class, study your notes, and do the assignments then you should have no problems passing

I took this class because I always had an interest and love for art but this was not what really made the calls enjoyable and interesting, it was the energetic and straight approach of the teacher towards the class. I took the rushed course, so our classes were only 8 weeks and i am a dual enrolmen sudent. I thought it would be dificult to keep up but it wasnt, as long as you come to class and take notes when told to its very easy to stay on track. i would recomend this teacher to anyone who is going to take this class

He was a great teacher! I am a dual enrollment student and found it hard to get lower than a 100%. I didn't buy the book. I took notes from his powerpoints. However, you just need to make sure you are there for the midterm and final review. However, you can't miss more than 3 classes or you drop a letter grade. Take this class or you'll regret it!

Very easy class. Barely used textbook. I actually didnt think that i would be interested in this, but it got pretty interesting. Just take notes and go to the reviews for the tests and you will get an A. When you are in the class ask for an art project instead of 1 of the art museum reviews.

I absolutely loved this class! Literally gives you 90% of the assignments on the first day of class so you have an abundance of time to complete it. He does give a review before the final and midterm and it's literally like the test. I passed with a 95%. Do the work on time and just pay attention. The class is so simple it's hard. I recommend!

There are about 15 assignments, a Midterm, and a Final. Also, there is a mandatory trip to a museum. He gives SO MUCH extra Credit. He gives extra credit for attending any activity on campus. Professor Vazquez is a very understanding, cool professor. He gives a lot of extra credit it's really easy to pass his class if you priotize. Take him as a professor !!

If you Plan on taking on taking ARH2000 at south, then take Prof. Vazquez you wont regret it. He is by far one of the greatest professors i've taken. Prof. Vazquez care about his students. He gives lots of extra credit opportunities. When there is an event going on at South Campus Art Gallery he even gives extra credit . I passed with an "A"

Very kind and caring guy that Mario is. Prepare for museum visits because that will be part of your homework and it is the major part of your homework too. Study all the artists. This professor was great! Although he can be some what sarcastic, he is really nice. The class work and homework are easy to understand and even if you needs some more clarification, he will give it to you without a second thought. Professor Mario Vazquez is just amazing. He is one of the best. He gives a lot of extra credit, his class is entertainment. He is reliable to all students. Also, he is one of the college's advisers, so if you are undecided about your major, he will help you. DO NOT THINK TOO MUCH, TAKE THIS CLASS!!!. I hope you have a good semester.

He's a good teacher, he gives a lot of extra credit so take advantage of it. You should be able to pass the class, as long as you show up and pay attention. his reviews are really helpful. class isn't hard but you do have a few assignments to do that take their time.

Dr. Vazquez is the GOAT... cool guy, real chill, just show up and pay attention. rarely studied and got almost perfect scores on midterm and final. the class is easy but you do gotta take the time to do some lengthy assignments . would definitely take again.. promise you won't regret taking i can honestly say i learned to appreciate art.

took him for 6 weeks, he is very clear on how he grades. dont buy the book just ask for it in the library and take photos. You could finish all the assigments in 1 week. Dont fall asleep, see the videos. he gives lots of extra credit, you need to go to a museum.

Just finished a mini term with this professor & he made it such a breeze unlike some classes i've chosen to take into 6 weeks. He is really cool, knowledgeable, and loves what he does. Dr. Vazquez is very clear in his grading. There are no surprises. I took the blended class this semester and I enjoyed the in-class lectures. All the work is done on D2L. He gave extra credit for going to campus events such as the art gallery, performance theatre, and artist lectures. A mandatory museum visit is required. Loved the class! Take him!

Dr. Mario Vazquez is a great professor. It was an interesting class, and I learned a lot about art. During the semester, I had discussions, assignments, a mid-term and final exam, and extra credit opportunities. There was a review the class before the exam. I loved visiting a museum, which was one of the assignments. I really enjoyed the class.

The prof is down to earth and makes the class interactive. He has several D2L assignments, museum visit, campus art gallery visit and extra credit written assignments. We even met the artist who painted the mural on campus, I truly learned about art in this class. Highly recommend!

EASY! loved his personality. Attendance is mandatory, every time time you're not there you grade gets knocked down a letter grade (8 week). It may seem like a lot of work, but its really not. Extra credit is important for this class cause it helps towards your grades. He grades by points. Only 2 tests, one museum visit for your one paper.

This prof was very down to earth and clear on the course requierements. He tells you what needs to be done and how to get a passing grade the very first day. A lot of work for a short semester but you can do the assignments fast. I took the 8 week session. A lot of extra credit that helps your final grade. Take him!

Great class! I rented the book, but it's available at the library for free. You need it for several assignments. Save your money and use it at the library for 2 hours at a time. This professor is one the best at Broward College.

He clearly states how you will be graded and gives plenty of chances to do the assignments and even has quite a few opportunities for extra credit. There are two exams, which he preps you for. Doctor Mario Vazquez, has a huge heart and is down to earth. He treats you with respect and not inferior or a little student. He cares and works with his students, very understanding. I usually only take 8 week courses, just like I took this semester but Dr. Vazquez made the class so interesting that I wouldnt mind a 16 week course. He keeps you engaged the entire duration of the class and the assignments arent hard and are laid out clearly in the syllabus. I highly recommend this class!

Professor Vazquez is thorough and understanding in how he approaches instilling enthusiasm in students about art. He provides Powerpoint presentations in class and keeps students interested by making each student read along as participation. The syllabus is very clear in showing students what they have to know prior to taking the test.

I took this class as a 8 week course so attendance was very important.Every class theres lectures and those powerpoint he goes through aren't included online so you have to be there in order to get the information.Go over reviews for exams so studying and passing should be easy if you pay attention. Vey easy going. Its considered a writing course so you do a-lot of discussion posts and like writing assignments which are very easy. Took the 6 week course we had 2 exams. Class was easy but, you do read out-loud for participation points.

Vazquez was amazing! There was so much extra credit that you could fail the final and still get an A but you wont fail the final because he literally goes over every single question the class before so make sure to take notes. His online assignments are very easy and the class itself is interesting. One of the ECs gave 150 EC points FR. Take him!!

Dr. V is amazing! He cares a lot about art and just wants to make sure everyone leaves with a better understanding and appreciation for art. He is very knowledgeable & literally goes over the quiz the class before. He even lets you write as hes going over things!! I took him for a 6pm class and he kept the class fun.

Dr. Vazquez wants everyone to succeed in the class and makes grading very straightforward. He explains every assignment at the beginning of the semester and gives us all the resources we need. Exams were taken in class with scantron, but they were open notes. The workload is heavy, but the assignments are easy. Attendance matters.

He uses a textbook but it's not mandatory, gives more than enough opportunities for extra credit, accepts late work, only 2 quizzes (midterm and final) and 4 writing assignments that are not that long. Dr Vazquez has lot of experience as advisor, and professor of art. He's always positive and inspirational in class. I took the art appreciation class. He had excellent delivery presenting each topic. He has deep knowledge about art. I learned about pieces of art like monuments, sculptures. One of the most interesting classes I have taken at BC.

I'm a student that had no real interest in art and not a history fan. Professor Vasquez is intelligent, personable, and professional. I walked away with knowledge of art history I never thought I'd have! It's definitely the best class I've taken so far. He ALSO offers extra credit, so if you get anything less than an A, it's your own fault lol.

this is a 5 credit course you are required to write for a few homework assignments but the assignments are fairly simple and will all help you to take the midterm and final. If you pay attention you will be fine. There is lots of oppritunities for extra credit. He truly love to teach and is there to help you he does all he can to help his students

He was a great professor- always giving advice on life itself and the key to succeeding. His class does have a loy of work and writing but, fairly easy. Just don't procrastinate bc it will catch up to you.

Great professor. class consist mostly of researching and writing essays, on ancient arts nothing you cant manage. he also gives good feed back if any corrections need to be made.

The professor is mindful that the textbooks are very expensive so it's not mandatory, for the assignments in the text book you just go to the library, but fun professor, very understanding, funny, ready to lecture always, 1 mid term, 1 finals and the rest is assignments, be attentive, participate and you will get your A++++ Good luck!

Professor Vazquez made the class fun and full of interesting art history. Be ready to write and participate in class. I learned so much! You have to complete weekly assignments, and two exams. We visited the campus art gallery for a required art report. You can also visit a local art museum for free on selected days of the month. 100% The GOAT

This was my first time taking any college course (I am a first year dual enrollment student) and at the beginning of the course I did not have an extra study hall so I didn't have time to look at the work and missed 4 assignments, but when I turned them in he gave me full marks. He is very understanding and I learned a lot.

Super sweet professor! The workload was super manageable and the work itself was easy to understand and complete. I learned a lot in this class and had a good time seeing art throughout the years and understanding the different aspects that make it up. Would 100% recommend anyone to take his course!

Did the online course and it was so easy. Assignment aren't hard and the discussions are simple. I think he grades on completion. Definitely take him you won't regret it. There's a final paper where you have to go to a museum but it's super easy.

I would rate this professor 10000/10. This professor is the most intensive professor I've had thus far. Would definitely take again, course is super easy. Gives 3-4 assignments a week including a discussion and a test. As long as you do your work you will pass. Also allows you to redo assignments for better a grade.

Professor Mario is an excellent educator, very caring for his students, didn't what you to fail the class always give you the opportunity to resend the paper for a full grade. Available when you need him, and responsive. His assignments are a little bit difficult but fun and educative, you will love his class.

This professor does everything that he said he would and everything it laid out in the first module. He does lock the assignments up until the week that they are due which could be annoying for those who like to go ahead, but he was great on communicating. He always communicated back and forth with me!

I enrolled in ARH2000 online. Although there was a lot of reading and watching videos, the assignments were straightforward and easy to complete. The quizzes weren't protected, so you could use all the notes and readings from the modules. Professor Vazquez is really nice and caring!

Wonderful professor, Replies quickly and grades assignments on time. For me the work load was a bit much maybe because I had 4 other classes so.... There were writing assignments, discussions, quizzes, online textbook work and museum visit and essay. All super easy though. 10/10 would definitely take again.
