He is kind of a jerk. He gave us 4 east teats, I had an A average, as most of class. Then he gave us a final that covered stuff we never touched on. He broke his word on what he was gonna put on it. I had a great GPA, and he hurt it. Do not trust him!
Can't get any easier than this.
Easy class, good teacher. Take him if you can
Easy class, he explains it in a way that a five year old could understand. He is not the only one making up the test, the other TA's have a hand, so dont worry about the bad comments got. Lee is a great guy and very helpful!!!
He is the BEST teacher I've had at Clemson. I absolutely hate math but his class is easy and fun. I never want to miss it. He gives out a practice test which is the same as the test only the numbers are altered. He is a nice guy and all the material is straightforward.
This guy is easy - EXTREMELY nice guy too. I have not had to go to him, but if you did i am sure he would help you. If you don't pass his class then get some help. Go to test reviews, he tells you the test pretty much.
Easy class
Great Teacher....very easy A! Made the material very clear and interesting. Don't even need the book and the final is optional...take him if you can!!
Easiest class I've ever had. He explains everything in such an elementary way, that a 5 year old could understand it. when I didn't study I made high B's/low A's on tests, and when I did study I made 100's. Best thing is Exam is optional. Watch out for attendance though, it will get you.
Easiest math class ever!! EASY A!! Take him, final is optional and material is super easy. He helps on grades as much as he can.
Doesn't seem very committed to teaching this class, probably because he volunteers to teach it for no pay. He seems like a slacker himself, but knows what he is teaching.
Great teacher...just show up and give a little effort!
Easy teacher, but not worth waking up for an 8:00 class. He is really good at making things understandable, but sometimes he dumbs concepts down too much, which isn't really a good thing at 8:00 in the morning, if you know what I mean.
Easy. Show up day before test and he will give you a test that is same to the actual one except different numbers. Willing to help out and you can understand him perfectly. Just goes at a snail's pace.
Easy class. Usually has athletes in it. Just go to class and you'll do fine. MUCH easier than EX ST 301, I made the mistake of taking it instead of MTHSC 301.
Lee is the best there is. I recomend no one over him. You have to be retarded to not get at least a B.
He's a great teacher who makes the material easy and also relevant. I have heard horror stories about other 309 teachers! He is definitely the best one to take! He gives great practice tests and lets you out of class early a lot!
Awesome professor! I went to class everyday, studied the night before the test, and exempted the final with a 94 average in the class. Take him if you can!!!
Do the work and go to class and you will do well. He is very confident in his teaching and knows what he is talking about. He is a great guy and wants to see his students do well :)
REALLY EASY CLASS. Its a Pass/Fail class. He's a very thorough teacher, he explains everything really well. The class is boring, but its really easy - we never have homework to turn in. The tests are easy - they're usually only like 20 questions multiple choice
The best TEACHER I have taken thus far. HE EXPLAINS EVERYTHING VERY WELL
Get him as a teacher if you can. He explains everything so clearly. I mean, math is always boring, so no surprise there. But he makes the funniest stupid math jokes ever. He gives a practice test the class before every test and it is exactly like the test. He is so helpful and really wants you to learn and do well. He is such a nice guy.
THE EASIEST CLASS! He was very helpful and went through examples step by step. For each test you get a formula sheet and you can write whatever you want on it. Also, you can exempt the final! And there is not a lot of work outside of class except studying for exams. Plus he makes the most random/hilarious comments during class. TAKE HIM!
This is the easiet class you will ever take, provided that you have him as a professor. He makes good jokes throughout class, he looks uncomfortable while teaching, but it just makes it a better learing environment. He'll go over the same type of problem ten times in class and the tests are the exact same as everything he does in class. TAKE HIM!
He's a fun guy and this class is beyond easy. If attendance wasn't required, you could skip class every day and only show up for test reviews and make a 100 on the tests! He tells you exactly what will be on your test. TAKE HIM! He's the BEST! It's really EASY!!
awesome guy!! the class was extremely easy! i would recommend him for any math class
good teacher, speaks slowly, go to class and you won't need to read your book, easy class
Fun and easy. Attendance is required but the class isn't bad at all. I'd take him again.
Our final test grade was an automatic 100 for sending him an e-mail. Probably spent total of 2.5 hours all semester outside of class to get an A.
Hanna was the easiest teacher ever. You were allowed 4 absences per semester and you don't even need to bother about buying the book; we NEVER had homework in that class EVER. Just go to class, take notes, pay attention, do good on your first 3 tests and the final will be optional. Take this teacher if you have to take this class.
TAKE THIS TEACHER! whether you are good in math or not, this teacher is SO easy. You don't need to buy the book because we never had homework. It is basically a given that you will have an A in this class. great teacher!
Super easy, if you do not like stats and must take this take Hanna. Goes out of the way to make the class as easy as he can. EASY A.
Good teacher...his class was easy, he is very helpful and does a great job of explaining things
Great dude, always there to help. Class was a joke, it was a pass or fail class so all you had to do was get above a 70. Plus he gives you a lot of extra credit oppurtunities and you get to drop a test grade.
amazing teacher. do not get any other teacher for this class or you are asking for a lot of work! i took this class in high school so it was extremely easy but almost everyone got a's with little to no work.
really easy. tests are exactly like the practice quizzes. " its harder to get a C than an A in this class"-direct quote from him. makes it very easy to get an A and very low if any workload
Keeps statistics extremely simple. Makes everything black and white. We typically got out of class thirty minutes early. The class is boring, and requires very little effort. I would recommend him!
Best teacher ever! Makes everything very clear and an overall easy class. He also loves the weekends and breaks and takes the minimal amount of class time needed to teach the material. Doesn't take attendance but you need to go. TAKE HIM!
Makes the material very clear and his practice tests are 95% similar to his exams. He really makes everything clear. Attendance is not required, but he does not use blackboard so you'll need to show up the day before the exam to get the practice test. Easiest/easiest to understand professor at Clemson. If you take 309, this is an easy A
Awsome Teacher. Class is super easy. His teaching is crystal clear and test are a simple as can be. He cracks jokes and has fun.
Amazing Teacher. Great at conveying everything, and incredibly easy. As long as your do your work making an A is simple.
best teacher ever!!
LOVE HIM! TAKE HIM!
Took MGT 309 in summer session, and got my first A at Clemson. He makes statistics really easy to understand. He's a young professor who is willing to work with you. I wish he taught 310.
If you have to take 106 take Hanna. He is one of the best teachers that I have had so far. I always had trouble in math courses but he makes everything easy to understand and actually cares about you and your grade. He makes it so it is very easy to do well in his class by weighting your final class grade. He by far the best teacher for 106.
Great Teacher. Easy Class. very organized notes
Best teacher for 106 by far. He really cares about his students and makes the material easy to understand. Take him for 106 if you can, you'll do well.
Love him! Great professor. He explains the material well and is very helpful. I never used the book. Take him!
He is a great teacher. He loves math and is willing to help at all times. He wants everyone to succeed and believes in every student completely. He prepares you for the tests decently. A lot of the grade is based on attending the class.
Best teacher ever, I wish he taught 108! He explains everything crystal clear in his notes and we never used the book. Take him!
This guy is literally the best math teacher i have ever had. He takes his time to explain stuff and really cares what you make. Best teacher i have ever had hands down. And he is always willing to work with you
good teacher
I love this professor! He is a great teacher and really cares about his students. He is extremely good at explaining complicated topics and is really nice and approachable. I would definitely recommend him!
Mr. Hanna is the best math teacher I have ever had! He is such a nice guy and is so helpful! He is so thorough with his teaching and will clarify anything! He genuinely cares for his students and wants to see them do well! He is funny and keeps class interesting! TAKE HIM
Mr. Hanna was hilarious. I loved going to his class despite the fact that it was calculus. He's really helpful and clear. This course was tough for me because I had never taken calc before so go to SI. He gives you as much points as he can from hw and in class work to balance out the hard exams. I got a B. Take him for sure!!!
Very easy class. Each day he gives handouts to fill out. He works the handouts and that is it. He is very helpful, and the class is so easy. Definitely take him if you can. He is a great teacher and makes the class really, really easy.
Prof. Hanna is a great guy - he really cares about your success, and he tries his best to make calculus interesting. He is very articulate and very good at teaching the material, yet his class is laid back. The tests are somewhat difficult, but he makes himself very available for help. Would HIGHLY recommend him.
Mr. Hanna is probably the best teacher I've ever had, high school and college. He's very clear on what he expects from you, and he is not as concerned with grades as he is making sure you learn the material. I am taking him again next semester for Stats. If you are considering taking Mr. Hanna, do it. He will be your favorite.
He's the sweetest man ever! Very funny and laid back. super nice and cares about his students doing well. He will help if you need it and curves up the grade if you have a 89.5! TAKE HIM
Professor Hanna is a nice person but I didnt really care for his class too much. He talked alot and it was easy to lose track. He sent the attendance sheet around but class wasnt really mandatory. All the information came from the lecture book & the notes are posted in blackboard. So if you skip a day its fine because you can learn it on your own
Awesome professor and course is very straightforward. I took it during the summer and the material went by very quickly, yet he made it so simple! Take him!
A super nice guy. Statistics is not my subject at all, so I struggled, but he literally saved my final grade and bumped me from a D to a C, even though I didn't even ask for it.
Best teacher for calculus 1. First time taking calculus I had an awful teacher and had to retake with Hanna, and then got an A. Really nice guy and truly wants you to succeed. Lectures are straight forward and notes are fill in the blank. Take him!
Dr. Hanna communicated the material at a good pace for someone that could have any past difficulty with math. He has constant "dad humor" in class, and it keeps you interested and laughing. He is just happy and a great teacher. Willing to help before and after class if you have any questions on homework. Also doesn't assign too much extra practice.
TAKE HANNA HE IS THE BEST MATH PROFESSOR I HAVE EVER HAD!
He is the most caring teacher I have had thus far at Clemson. If you complete a certain # of topics and work ahead in the class, you only have to attend class for the scheduled assessment dates (which are not actual grades!). He is approachable and has a very calming presence. I really enjoyed having him as a math teacher! TAKE HIM.
While the majority of what you do is online in Math 1990, Mr. Hanna is always there to help you out. He is so caring and sweet, and made the class easy for me. He will sit down with you and explain everything if needed. While people skip the biweekly math labs all the time, it really helps to show up. Come to lab, ask for help, and you will pass.
Lee Hanna is very chill, I'm taking him again next semester. You only have to go until you finish the online work and he does not really care if you skip class. There are no lectures, he just comes around and is there for help if you need it.
If you've never taken calculus before, this class is not for you. There are 100 people in the class and it's taught via looking at him write on a screen which is then projected to your computer.
Lee Hanna is the kindest professor I've ever had. He really does his absolute best to give you the highest possible score you can get, and his compassion and good attitude make math a tolerable experience. I took his Business Calculus course and I would definitely take him for any other required classes. I definitely recommend Lee Hanna.
Professor Hanna is seriously the best!!! I love him! He is so caring and funny. If you struggle with math, I suggest you go to class. He does pass around a sign-in sheet, but it doesn't count for anything. He teaches the material so well and makes it very easy to understand. You are going to want to take this class with him!!
Professor Hanna is one of the best teachers here at Clemson! He is extremely caring and motivates all his students to do their best in class. If you ever have the chance, definitely take his class!
Professor Hanna was amazing! I took him in summer school after struggling with Calc I in a previous semester. I actually understood it after taking him. He is extremely caring and wants you to succeed. I wish he was teaching calc II and will definitely take him again if the opportunity arises. He is very accessible as well.
Great guy
Professor Hanna is one of the funniest professors here at Clemson. His jokes make my day and I actually look forward to going to class, even though attendance isn't mandatory. He makes Business Calculus fun for everyone, even people who hate math. He is more than willing to help at any time and makes the material extremely easy to understand.
Professor Hanna is a great professor. He is very funny and knows what he is talking about. He helps you if you need help at all and makes time, he really cares about all of his students. He has funny jokes throughout class too. I recommend taking his class no matter what.
Easy class!! He is so sweet and always willing to talk with students and help them. He really wants you to learn math! Hes also really funny and laid back. Easy to reach if you need him and gives you clear direction.
In this class you are allowed to skip once you have completed all of the work. I only came to class once a month for our assessments (attendance is mandatory for assessments) but they were easy. Super nice guy and really funny!
Self-paced course, that allows you to work at your own speed. You do have to attend bi-weekly labs (where TA's and instructor answers your questions), until you reach the passing mark (280 topics in the ALEKS pie). After you complete the required number of topics you are excused from lab. Easy course!
Professor Hanna is the nicest and funniest professor I have had at Clemson. He cares about his students and the class Math1020 is easy. Would 100% take again and would recommend him to anyone.
Awesome guy, I just never showered up to class much and am bad at math. He's the best teacher though, a real one
Professor Hanna was hands down the most personable math teacher I have had at Clemson. Taking MATH 2070 during a summer session was time consuming, but Hannas online lectures were fairly clear and concise for a fully online course. Also, he offered super helpful Zoom reviews before tests. I enjoyed the class more than MATH 1020 because of Hanna!
If you are wondering to take Professor Hanna, do it. Very very nice guy and a great teacher of the material. So helpful during all assignments and will usually get back to you within 15 minutes. Very dedicated to his work. The class is not easy if you have not taken calc before but he is far and away the best math teacher for this class.
The class overall was pretty easy. He offers office hours at almost any time in the day. Attendance doesnt matter at all.
Professor Hanna is such a nice guy! Math 1990/1991 is an online class sometimes taken before the major math classes, so attendance wasn't mandatory, however he was very kind when people were there!
Professor Hanna is hands down the sweetest man ever and an amazing (!!!!!) professor. Teaches SO well and makes sure you know your stuff!!! Helps all of the time and you know you can ask any question and he will be beyond glad to help. Nicest person ever and I would 10000% take this class again!!
Math 1020 is overall not an easy course, but Professor Hanna makes the best of this coordinated course. In class, he does the Learning Activities or a short lesson. This is a flipped class, so you watch videos and they correspond with the lecture guide workbook. Professor Hanna is a great guy who is responsive. Not an easy class, but he is great!
Professor Hanna is a very caring teacher who wants all his students to succeed and do well in Math 1020. Although this class is not easy, watching the lecture videos and videos of the past test are beneficial. Do not hesitate to email Professor Hanna. I highly recommend taking Math 1020 with Professor Hanna; you will not regret it.
I could not recommend a professor enough! Professor Hanna is extremely personable and truly cares about the success of every single one of his students. I took MATH 1020 as an asynchronous online course so we mainly followed the lecture videos he posted, but Professor Hanna always made himself accessible in case any student needed him.
Math1990 as an asynchronous class was easy to complete and had very light homework. If you need to take pre-calc before Business Calc, TAKE THE ASYNCHRONOUS CLASS! It is def easier and is a pass/no pass. 10/10 would recommend if you have a hectic schedule and other important classes but still need credit. Math modules are easy and self-explanatory.
I took his class for a math refresher, and it was extremely easy! He used Aleks for coursework, and all we had to do was master a specific number of topics and complete five progress tests throughout the semester. Though this class will not factor into your GPA, it was the easiest 3 credit class you could possibly take.
Amazing professor! would take him again in an instant!
Without a doubt, Professor Hanna is the best math instructor I've ever had. He's incredibly funny, and his enthusiasm for teaching is palpable. The course utilizes the ALEKS platform for all math materials, with a requirement to finish 300 assignments for course credit. Thankfully, ALEKS is user-friendly, and the assignments are straightforward.
Basically online, pass fail, all there is to it is a couple hundred lessons on Aleks and monthly progress checks. Only went to first day of class, but Professor Hanna seemed nice. On progress check days, you will get 100 Canvas notifications, which is annoying, but ensures that you do it (because if you miss one, you are dropped from class)
It's a pass-or-fail class that uses ALEKS, which is very user-friendly. You have to have 300 topics by the end of the semester, and there are progress checks throughout the course. In-person attendance is not mandatory. Professor Hanna constantly sends reminders. Do well on the initial assessment, and you will not have to do hardly any work.
Mr. Hanna was a great teacher. Although my class was online and I never met him personally, I could tell that he really cared for everyone just by the weekly emails he sent to us. He would always motivate us to keep going. Great professor. Easy class.
After the first day you are not required to go to class or lab as the work can be completed online. Only have to go to class if you want extra help, but the class is so easy this is honestly not needed. Hanna sends out many reminders for due dates and is extremely reasonable. Literally just complete your work and a pass/A+ is ensured. Caring guy.
Attendance isn't mandatory for MA 1990. It was a super, super easy class. Just make sure to keep up with ALEKS topics outside of class. He has a plethora of tutors and zoom meetings for those struggling with the ALEKS. Really nice guy!
This class was asynchronous. You just had a certain amount of ALEKS topics to get through for the semester to get credit. you could go to class for help on topics you did not get but attendance was not mandatory. the only downside is you are required to buy ALEKS for 120 dollars.
This was by far my easiest class this semester. The class is pass/fail, and is completely on ALEKS. You only need to reach 300 topics by the end of the semester, with multiple progress checks throughout the course. Class attendance is not mandatory. I would highly recommend!
You do not have to attend class at all to do well in this class. Everything is due through ALEKS and is super easy. This class was by far the easiest class I had this semester.
Easy class! Nice professor! Reachable outside of class! Took the online class and was easy! Just do your knowledge checks the day it is due and your ALEK topics by the deadline and easy pass! He sends out reminders and is very nice. High recommend!
Uses Aleks. Getting to 300 topics is no fun, but it's really easy. Professor seems nice and always tells you ahead of time when there's knowledge checks.
Easiest class EVER. Told us on the first day of class we didn't need to go because it's asynchronous so I never went. Just have to get ALEKS, do 300 topics, and do progress assessments throughout the semester.
