shes really nice, but it's a hard class, sometimes she can be hard to understand, requires attendance, daily quizes(2pts) and the tests are hard. Not an easy grade, must study a lot.
I would recommend taking her to anyone. She is a very nice teacher. But you need to do your homwork to pass the tests.

She is the worst teacher ever. She put different things in the tests than she teaches. If you want to take any math class, do not take it with her.
Took her for Calculus, very easy tests if you study and pay attention. Don't be lazy and you'll be fine.
If you pay attention you should have no problems!!!!
Jimenez is the worse teacher that ever lived. Students beware her exam problems aren't even close to what is in the textbook. I think she picks problems out of the sky that will totally confuse the hell out of her students. Do yourself a favor, and pick a professor that will be fair.
she's totally cool! she breaks down all the problems for you like you're in 1st grade, which is very useful for those who aren't good at math. at first i didn't like her, but she turned out okay toward the end.
This teacher is very hard, we had an open book test correction and you could not even find the same type questions, the lec. very easy test are hard.
Watch out for the test, she pulls them right out of the sky
Her exams are tough, but Very challenging. A lot of people failed the first exams but half of the final score will replace the lowest exam. She does give extra credit, and she is very helpful. Final exam were pretty easy. She gave out the same problems from previous exams. You got to STUDY hard for her class.
VERY hard class. You will learn something and even if you think you learned it, you stilll might fail. Watch out for her test! Her final was fair.

“PLEASE STOP” PLEASE TAKE SOME ELSE…, she is horrible teacher, can’t teach, can’t explain, and rate exam very very hard; god knows where she pull test from (this is class sentiment), class average “D”. SAVE YOUR GPA AND TAKE OTHER TEACHERS. If you take her, then pay attention to review session, it can make your grade or break you grade. GOOD LUCK

Quizes at the begining of class. Lots of homework but does not collect it. A few problems due before the end of class.

If you are on time evey day, study, do 50 math problems monday every day (monday though thursday), you'll get an A. It is a difficult class but she gives some extracredit opportunities. I got a D :(

Not the best math teacher, but if your good at math, her class is no problem. The only part of her class that kills everyone is the kind of difficult problems she gives on her tests. (her quizes are really easy, but they dont count much). For all those who arent good at math, take a different teacher tat can be more helpful.
She is a wonderful teacher, a good friend, a nice person, and an intelligent counselor. Her class is friendly, active, and useful. I’ll never forget the good experience that I had in this class. I took Algebra 123C with her on Spring 2007, and I recommend her class to all my friends.

I currently have a F in this class.She doesnt always explain the material well because she makes up different names for everything. She also doesnt really help out when you need it. Many in my class are failing. The extra credit is not even worth it cuz its 80 problems 4 7 points. dont take her..your wasting your time!!!
Please do not take this teacher. She is not very helpful, a harsh grader, she gives way too much homework over 100 problems (seriously!)a day. the reviews she gives the day before the exams are worthless because many times the problems that are on the exam are not even in the book. there is some extra credit but it just like the hw over 100 problems
The worst teacher I have ever taken! She does not explain herself and somehow avoids answering questions. Gives a lot of hw and a quiz every day! I went to class every day and still failed. Shes a terrible teacher...AVOID THIS CLASS!
Really nice person. She really wants everyone to do well. I think she teaches well but her exams are way to hard. I went in doing great in the chapter review and chapter test and ended up failing the exam. Way too much homework as well.
Mrs. Jimenez is my favorite teacher in my whole life. I do not care about what other students say about her teaching quality online or on campus, I just want to tell everyone that if you have the courage to be the last person to hang on her Math 236 class, you will get a grade. PS. she does make a few calculation mistakes daily so watch out.
If u fail this class you are stupid! i took Mrs jimenez for pre algebra, math 112a & b! i got B's in every class. she explains the work very well and she does offer the help u just have to ask! she does give a lot of hw but she doesnt collect it. if u dont do the hw then u will fail! u cant atomatically learn the work without doing the hw! DUUHHHHH
I've never really gotten an A in math before this class so I think that says something. Take notes because she gives good examples. Do all the homework, even though she doesn't collect it, it helps a lot. It was an easy A for me and I hate math. Really nice lady, too. You can tell she wants you to succeed.
Excellent teacher, great smile .very approachable for work. doesnt hurt that she is easy on the eyes in a brainy athletic way.
JUST CUZ UR AN ATHLETE DONT EXPECT TO PASS. SHE IS UNFORGIVING. IF YOU MISS CLASS AND FORGET TO EMAIL OR CALL DONT EXPECT 2 DO THE WORK FROM W.E. DAY U MISSED. SHE WILL FAIL YOU WITH A SMILE. OTHER THAN THAT SHES A GOOD TEACHER AND BREAKS THE WORK DOWN
she is a very nice lady!!..very helpful she wants you to pass..do the homeowrk and get to class everyday her quizes and inclass work make a big difference. i hate math and i liked her class..she uses great teaching techniques..i recommend her highly!!! :]
Prof.Jimenez Gives allot of homework. What I liked was the quizzes and In class assignments. I think that helped much more than the homework and take home test reviews.If you plan on taking her I recomend on going to math lad to do homework because it is alot and you will get lost.
Some of the stuff on the test is material on we never even went over during the class lecture. She moves too fast, and expects all the students to be at the same pace. Although she's a nice person, her teaching is horrible, the WORST ACADEMIC CHOICE I have ever made. :( Don't ever take this woman.
Math is not my greatest subject but she made sure you knew what you were doing. There is a quiz everyday at the beginning of each class from the lecture taught the day before, if you did horribly, she would put see me on the quiz and she would work it out with you, she hates to see people fail. Shes a wonderful teacher
This is the hardest Math class I have ever taken. This teacher goes past her allocated instruction time, she doesn't give clear directions, and gives you way too much homework. Forget about doing a test review in class to prepare, it is never done - you are given more homework instead! Do yourself a favor and don't take this teacher's class.
She is a good teacher but her tests are hard! And some of the problems on the tests are not on the textbook. Shes also unorganized and she doesnt go over the tests to explain what you did wrong.
She is a horrible teacher. She gives 5 hours of homework every night and if you forget to write your name of the date on every single page, she takes points away from you. This really adds up and hurts your grade. She is also a cold and uncaring person who does not care about students even when they try really hard to do well.
Worst MATH teacher. She will not teach you Formulas, she teaches "patterns" and wastes so much time on demonstrations that teach nothing. I was really excited at first for her class, but her "methods" are impossible for others to understand. I tried getting help from tutors and such and even they agreed she was RIDICULOUS. &TONS of Homework
I would not recommend taking her. I have always had good grades in math until I took this class. The tests are extremely hard and there's lots of homework that does not count for that much of your grade. The only reason to take this class is if you already know everything you need to know about math for the class.
She is the worse teacher that I have ever had. She does not know how to teach and not clear. Save your tim and money and DONOT TAKE HER CLASS.
One of the worst teachers I've ever had. Never goes over any of the homework, nor explains test review. If you haven't taken this course, don't expect to get an A. If you don't have a good grasp on Math, don't expect to pass. Half the class is completely clueless around 75% of the time.
i dont know why everyone says shes bad your here to do work and learn not fly by(hence maybe why your still at harbor)...ya she gives a lot of hw but it helps you out so much and her test are so simple she gives you a review before so you see what every test will look like.
This teacher is TERRIBLE!!!! As stated before, if you do not have the math skills before taking her class, you will do poorly in her class.
I hope you guys noticed that people who gave her high scores on this review are math 123a,b,c those are algebra and its easy. However, math 260 she does not know how to teach. Never clear, frequent mistakes on lectures, hard tests, never goes over. I would not recommend anyone to take her class. Worst math teacher I had so far.
WORST TEACHER EVER! she doesn't know how to teach. She has a boring voice to top it off. For every chapter, she has us watch the same teaching videos, even if it doesn't have anything to do with the chapter. And She doesn't care about the student .
Let me start off by saying Ms. Jimenez is a cool person. BUT! A HORRIBLE TEACHER. She goes way too fast, as to even teach one section per day Dnt get it? too bad, the next day its something new. Her way of teaching is completely irrelevant to other teachers, I learned everything on my own. SPent everyday in the mathlab for hours!
If you're already struggling with math you will not succeed in her class. She makes everything harder than it needs to be &She's very confusing and jumps back and fourth to topics. Her teaching methods are irrelevant. She randomly adds homework even on the days you don't have her class. Home work is online so you must check it frequently.
She is very unorganized, very unclear, teaches the hardest method on the hardest problems upon introducing the class to new subjects. Puts notices on board and doesn't announce them. She changes the date of tests without warning and expects the class to respond to text messages, ridiculous projects, and moves through chapters too fast.

She is not a clear professor. Taking her math class only because I need to. If I had a choice, I would have dropped her class so long ago. She marks down work if you don't use her terminology and messes up on her own methods. Not helpful and if you don't understand it? It helps more to look at youtube videos than listen to her lectures.
she is does not explain and is not willing to help when help is needed. I am taking her class because it fit my me schedule. take a different professor, you will be glad you did. if you are Spanish speaking she is happier to help and will help you in Spanish.
I'm doing pretty well in the class but that's only because of my previous teachers. I haven't learned anything from this teacher. She marks you down really hard. Even if I showed all my work correct and the answer was right she still marked me wrong and her excuse was she didnt see it. She still didn't give me the points even after she saw that.
She doesn't offer any help what so ever. All of your work is independent and if you ask her a specific question she will just tell you to figure it out by yourself. I strongly recommend that you do not take this course it is a mess.

I get it, this is a math class for people who not only are not interested in math. It is either the first of two such classes or one in a multi-step process. That being said, Ms. Jimenez did a great job keeping the class moving. Is it fun? No, it's a remedial algebra class that doesn't count for transfer units but I really liked her.
Class consist of an online book. The course was a challenge and test are a major part of your grade.
She's very thorough and she uses different methods to help you understand the concept. She takes her times nd patience is very important for those who actually have a problem understanding math in general. I would take ever math class with her if I had the chance. Teacher appreciation week award goes to her!
She explains everything very clearly and if you still don't understand she is willing to take the time to show you. She can be kind of harsh when it comes to grading. DO NOT MISS CLASS!!! She gives a lot of in class assignments and missing one could really be the difference between letter grades. I will be taking another class with her in the fall.
Three hour long class and you still have to do all the hw and most classwork online.

I regretted taking this class within a week of attending but im trying to graduate as fast as possible so that i can begin my life. I HAD to take this class if i wanted to take this level of math so i stayed the entire semester but by the end of the semester only a third of the class was left.
So tough! Takes every minute of class seriously. Would say I was late by 2 mins. So much info to take in at once. Does clarify and answer questions when asked. Lots of hw.
Her lectures are very thorough and if you don't get it make sure you ask questions because she will help you. She gives a lot of homework and classwork, but it is useful for quizzes and tests. If you don't attend her class you will miss a lot. The class will be easy as long as you pay attention, ask questions and work.

Ms Jimenez is the worst math teacher I have taken. Her homework is online, but that barely counts for anything. There is a quiz every Tuesday and long tests every other week. She does a very poor job preparing you for the test and her lectures are super boring. Would not recommend this teacher at all.
The worst math teacher I have ever taken. Started 3 weeks late and ended a 1 week early. Crammed all the work and went extremely quick did not explain problems well. If you take her be prepared to be your own teacher, I learned more from Youtube then I did her. She was not helpful at all had an attitude if you asked her for help.
Awful math teacher, I do not understand why she is a teacher. Does not explain material well. She is an awesome teacher and even though lectures are heavy, she helps you in anyway. She is open to tutor you during the evenings and she is always open to answer questions. Just be ready to learn, to ask, and thats all you need for her class.

Save yourself and don't take her. She moves through coursework with lightning speed, gives vague explanations, and does not compromise at all. She gives you one hour and thirty minutes for every test within which you have to copy the questions, show work(which is fine except for the time limit) . Don't take her, run if you see her name.
She does a workshop class the class before an exam where you break into groups, walk around and do problems on a board. And then walk around again and listen to other students talk about how they solved it. A failed attempt at a workshop.
This class turned into an online class during covid. When i has to go in person it was a drag, boring, and difficult. Second time taking her and i was questioning reality. But it turned into an online course and I got a tutor to help me and secured the B.
Jimenez was probably the worst professor I have ever taken. Her lectures are just god awful and she doesn't explain anything. The exams are so hard I got 50% on them. There is homework but that barely counts for anything. Trust me, DO NOT TAKE HER!!!!
