By far the most dedicated professor. He will stay late after class, if you have any questions, he will answer emails and texts within minutes - even on the wekends. I've been wanted to take class with Cosma since Pre-calc but his class close pretty fast, now I am taking him for Calc. I understood now why students like to take him. he prepares you well for the final. Quizes will be given every week and there are 3 exams, they are hard! but that will make the final very easy. 2 words TAKE HIM!

This was my second time taking this course. First time i took it with a different professor i failed it badly. Taking it with Professor Cosma really helped me understand the rules and formulas of Calculus. He's a great motivated professor, you can also learn some life lessons from him. He's also always willing to help outside class time.

Professor Marius Cosma is one of the best of bests! If you take notes from his class, you don't need to look at the book. He also gives you opportunity to achieve extra credit by doing extra problem solving which in turn help you for the final exam. Take him and you will never regret. He makes calculas easy for you. Of course you need to study too.

The course is hard, but his class. If you take him which gives you 50% chance to pass. If you want to get good grade, must do the practices. The only and most helpful calculus professor. My friends take other, and fail. take him gets A like I did. MUST TAKE if you want to pass calculus.

Prof. Cosma is a BOSS. He's one of the most caring professors Ive ever met. This guy lets you MAKE UP for quizzes and tests you did badly on for 75% of the points you missed. If you take Cosma and fail, you're a lazy idiot. This week he's doing 4 sessions of 3-hour revision during his free time. Thats the kind of Prof he is. He's funny as hell too.

Professor Cosma is very committed in teaching you well. He is available around the clock to help you (gives cell number and email on the first day of class and replies quickly). His classes are fun, and he uses his time efficiently when teaching. Take him, you WON'T REGRET!

Honestly I've never had a professor like him ,makes every topic very clear and simple, gives you short cut methods ,takes time out to help you and give you reviews prior to each exam , funny love the sarcasm (leave early snow storm joke), will teach you everything essential that will be in the final. Calculus itself is not an easy class so obviously you need to do your part and practice and study ,but with his guide and your effort this class is a feasible A for all those who suck in math. :)

If you fail his class, it will not be because of him. Calculus is a tough subject but he is the most helpful professor I've ever had. You can make up quizzes/exams and get some credit back for them. He takes some of his free time to help prepare students for the final. Can't ask for much else. THE BEST!

Mr. Cosma will go beyond his duty to help students. He made himself available all weekend to give review to us. (saturday until 9PM!). He is a professor who cares. Meet him half way, and you won't fail this class. Highly recommended!

Professor Cosma is by far one of the best Professors I've encontered at Baruch. He absolutely cares about his students passing the finals (which are departmental.) Unfortuantely, if you fail the final, you fail the entire class. He makes sure that students are well prepared. He's approachable and it's obvious that he cares.

Amazing professor!! He's there for you guys to help. His students have the highest passing rate out of all other math teachers. He gives the opportunity to make corrections of all the quizzes and tests to boost your grade ( we had like 4-5 quizzes( 4 questions max per quizz, 2 midterms), he gives you extra credit work as well . By far the single best professor I have ever had. He single handedly is the reason I passed Calc. Iv never seen a teach do as much as he did for our class. The best Calculus professor - he is very fair!! He basically tells you what will be on his quizzes and tests, so if you pay attention and practice, you will do well. He is also one of the only professors that allow you to do corrections on your quiz and test for some extra points!!! He cares about his students and is always available if you need help.

Pr. Cosma is one of the few professors who works hard to make sure that we all understand Calculus. HE CARES. I dont know anyone else who allows you to do corrections on the quizzes and the tests and is willing to sit down until 10pm helping you out. Pr. Cosma wants you to pass this class and get a good grade, thats why the class is hard.

Cosma is the absolute best professor ever. I have never been more inspired by a teacher like Cosma. He is kind, helpful, hilarious and plain genius. Easy class. Cosma allows you to correct your quiz's and exams to get 50% back of the points lost. Do you webassign homework and take good notes and you will do well. If you need to take calculus (2205 or 2207), this is your professor to take. Make no mistake, you'd still need to put in lots of work studying and stuff, but the work is so much easier if you pay attention and use whatever he teaches. He's not straight out of the textbook, he's more shortcuts and no bs concepts. Also he makes the class very fun.

Amazing math prof. at Baruch, I'm surprised they even had someone like him. Gives clear explanations of difficult materials and has plenty of shortcuts to show. One of the best professors I've had in Baruch, especially for Calculus. Failed my 1st try with 16/35 on the final and re-took him which helped me get an A- on the class. He's unlike other any professor, b/c he will sit down with you until you get it b/c he cares! TAKE HIM, JUST DO IT!

Best professor I have ever had. His teaching style and shortcuts are AMAZING. First time Ive ever done well in math. Learned more in his pre-calc review than I did in an entire semester. Plus, he allows you to correct tests to get half credit back. That means if you got a 60 on a midterm & do corrections, you could still walk away with an 80 grade

He is the BEST, and I mean, BEST Calc prof at Baruch--heck I would even say of ALL time. I never used Rate My Professor before, but I had to just for him. His extra credits are BEAST, and he gives like 4 review sessions and even typed out like 3 final review sheets for us! Plus he's the funniest professor ALIVE--I hate math, but he made it fun!

This Professor is awesome! I am an A student but I was scared because of the departmental exam. I did not use the book but what he explained was very clear . He gave 4 quizzes and 3 tests but he always explained what will be on the test/quiz. There are online HW but in the reasonable amount. If you want to pass Calc at Baruch take him!

He is the best. I'm not good at math, but now I'm think to do a minor on Math because of him, his reviews were same questions as the final, only the numbers were different, but same process to get the answer.

This was my 2nd time taking Calculus (Failed first time), my first professor was a little scattered. He wants you to learn, take him if you want to pass. How I got a good grade, did all HW, studied practice exams, learn how to use calculator, went to SSAC (weekly), ask Cosma, thought I would never learn Calculus but don't be scared I did it.

Hes the best professor I ever took. I wouldve got C range. He lets you correct all past quizzes for 2/3 of marks lost. E.G. If you got 70% and correct the 30% wrong answers youll get 90% for the quiz. Hes got goofy jokes too. I wish I couldve taken him for calculus too but his classes fill up quick! Take him, youll be blessed!

RIP Mr. Cosma. By far the most inspirational and funny teacher I've ever had. I had a hard time going to work this morning knowing that he no longer walks among us. It's no wonder Stand and Deliver was his favorite movie. I'll miss him; he molded me into the person I now am. This world is a much better place because of his unparalleled devotion.
