Can't understand, teaches off power points and doesn't give outline for test basically tell you to read every PowerPoint!
VERY STRONG ACCENT, NOT THAT PLEASEANT EITHER SPENDS ALOT OF TIME READING POWER POINTS AND DOT GO INTO DETAIL. DOES NOT LIKE STUDENTS ASKING QUESTIONS
I learned more than I thought I would when I took her class. I thought this class was going to be a drag but she definitely made it worth while. she is a very good teacher.
Professor Razmara is a great teacher & passionate about anatomy. It is an involved subject & to be expected that the class will be challenging. Study habits are what will make you succeed: if you read the chapter before material is taught, it makes it easier to understand & keep up. Powerpoints make clear what areas of text you should focus on.
Necessarily challenging course; read the chapters before or immediately after class. Slides are company-prepared, so they're not terribly helpful. Dr.Razmara is quite knowledgeable, but her expectations for the course were not always clear.
Exams are based on the PP's and material provided. In order to be prepared and understand the material the text book is necessary. I learned a lot and this class has prepared me very well for 110.
109 is not an easy course. You must read the book to do well. I didn't at first & did poorly on the exam. Read the chapter(s) before class. I started doing this & my grades went way up. There isn't enough time during class to stop & explain every detail. Plus if you do this you will ace her quizzes which are added as xtra credit to your final grade
This class has a lot of material and requires the use of memorization aids in order to learn the material contained in the slides. There is a lot of work you have to do outside of class. Study groups also help. Quizzes are worth extra points so study the slides before these.
She is a very smart and understands her own material but does not understand that the students will have questions. Felt like I was teaching myself ultimately so why continue to waste my time. I NEVER dropped a class before but I DEFINITELY dropped this one.
Professor Razmara is a great teacher and is very knowledable. Anatomy is a challenging subject and will require studying from the text and notes from class. Through regularly attending class and studying this way, I finished this course with an A.
Professor Razmara is a great teacher and is very knowledgable. The course covers a lot of material and require regular attendance and studying from class notes and outlining the text. I studied in this way and ended up with an A.
This course has a lot to read and remember, unfortunately Professor Razmara isnt much help to learning or retaining the info. She is intelligent and knows her stuff but her accent is super strong, she words her quizzes & exams poorly which may cause you to answer a question wrongly when you know correct answer, also doest like being asked question
Professor Razmara is great instructor and very knowledgeable. No doubt about it. AMP needs lots of effort. she provides helpful power points but definitely one needs to read the book . There are lots of opportunities for extra credit. I definitely recommend her
Interesting class but the material is difficult.
She is such a stressful teacher. Bio 109, A&P is a hard course but that's why teachers teach you for, to make class a bit easier and make sure that you understand the material. Unfortunately, she isn't helpful, exams are hard because the grammar she use is incorrect and add her accent that is heavy which make lectures unclear to understand them.
Not going to lie this class is hard. That being said, if you attend lectures, READ THE BOOK (not just the power point), and do the homework and quizzes you'll do fine. Professor Razmara definitely provides you with plenty materials to boost your grade. Take advantage of those and don't try to slack your way through. Otherwise, good luck in BIO110.
This class is tough and you must be willing to work but Dr. Razmara will help you to learn and to get the grade you want, you just have to stick it out! Tests are tough but straightforward. If something isn't clear in lecture, Dr. Razmara will go over in great detail again until the whole class understands. It is clear she cares about the material.
Do you want to actually learn Anatomy and Physiology? So take Prof. Razmara course. She will make you work if you want an "A" or even a "B" but she will be there for your questions and she will correct your HW making sure that u learned and understood the content. Besides, classes are interesting and she's passionate about her stuff. Def recommend!
Professor Razmara is an excellent teacher. BIO 109 was really a tough course for me, but Professor was very encouraging and provided every opportunity for us to be successful. She was quick to answer my many questions, and at no time compromised the quality of work she gave us or expected from us. Will definitely take BIO 110 with her.
Dr. Razmara was a great teacher. I really learned the material for BIO 109. I can honestly say that I am looking forward to taking BIO110 because I know I learned the material. This class was challenging. Requires reading, good study habits, and concentration. I received an A in this course. Tests can be tricky. You can tell she wants you to learn.
Prof. Razmara makes it very clear that in order to pass this class, you must work hard. What counts is that you put in the time and effort required to learn this material. She was available for office hours, and always replied to my emails immediately. Her test questions assess whether you actually understand the concepts.
Professor Razmara gives a lot of extra credit I think because understands how difficult A&P1 is. Stick it out until the end and you will find that you will be pleasently surprised with the outcome. study hard, be sure to ace the quizzes.
I took this class years ago, and retained nothing; I retained an immense amount of information during her class. This class does require a lot of reading, studying, and homework; but it'll benefit you in the end. If you complete the homework and quizzes, it raises your grade by a whole letter. It seems intimidating , but stick it out.
If you want to join a class where you will learn much in preparation for pre-med or prenursing then this is the class for you. Be prepared for a lot of quizzes and homework but it will count as extra credit. Most of all, attend classes! Do those things and you'll be fine! Good luck!
You have to read the book. That is the only instruction you'll be able to get out of the class. Her study guides are just an outline of the book, not what she actually tests you on come exam time. She jumps all around in lecture and you come out with your head spinning. There is no flow and you come out with little retained.
I regret ever taking this class. The lectures are useless.
Dr. Razmara is brilliant prof! I had this class with another instructor didn't learn anything just wasted time & money with low grade but she pushed me to learn A&P .She gives many opportunities for extra credit. You def. need to study in order to pass but it is very doable if you listen to her instruction!
She is a good professor. I don't understand why anybody should complain? If you pay attention in class & do what she says you will be fine. About the power point this isn't high school and she explains everything clearly. It's true that she goes all over the place sometimes to make sure student understand but she knows exactly what she talks about
She isn't very helpful and her homework is all subjective - so it can get butchered, even if your work is technically correct. She belittles her students instead of helping them and can be downright rude at times.
She just doesn't know how to teach. Her lectures are long and pointless. Don't waste your time or money in this class.
This instructor is not for the faint of MIND. However, if you read the book and actively engage with the material, you should do well.A & P II is not an easy course no matter what instructor you have & you will have to work hard, but this is college people! She even gives extra credit which she doesn't have to do.
I personally feel she is a great professor in that she made you develop the idea of connecting your thoughts and being able to think critically. She is a professor that prepare you and you to start thinking at a university level. The knowledge you gain from her class is more of a long term learning experience.
Bio 110 is not an easy class, Dr. Razmara takes her time during lecture to draw out various systems to help her students. This class allowed me to think on a new level and I am thankful for that, and thankful that it was not an easy A. I was able to learn a lot.
Be ready to study, study and study. Also, if you want extra credit be prepare to do homework and quizzes, both beneficial to you. Overall, although this class requires a lot of work in the end you will definitely learn a lot!
Dr. Razmara did a solid job teaching this very hard class. She wants her students to succeed which is important and it is evident when she teaches. That being said she does not make it easy for you. Do not expect here to give you some simple study guide that outlines everything on tests, you must read and commit to success. Would take her again.
Dr. Razmara is an excellent educator. She has very high expectations of her students and really wants you to understand the curriculum. She will not baby you, nor should she have too. I was appalled by some of the students' behavior and attitude towards her throughout the semester. I would definitely take her again for another biology course.
Dr. Razmara does not offer any shortcuts to mastery of this content. You will have to work extremely hard to succeed, but she genuinely wants every student to do well. She offers so many resources to help students engage with the material as well as providing opportunity to improve your grade. I would definitely take a course with her again!
Professor Razmara is a tough professor. She gives out a lot of work and her tests are hard, and reading ahead of her is advised. She tends to dislike answering questions in class, so go to her office hours. She was much nicer one on one. Don't expect hand-holding from her. It's a lot of work but I learned also feel like I learned a lot.
Razmara is more difficult than other biology professors at CCP, but i don't think that's a bad thing. I personally didn't have a problem understanding her, but some classmates complained about her accent. Don't take this class if you don't want to work, but if you want to actually be prepared for nursing school or a 4 year degree she's a good bet.
Definitely worth the tuition; learned so much information. If you have good study habits and time management, most likely you will succeed in this class. Expect to work hard and allot 2 hours a day of study time for this class.
Dr. Marjaneh Razmara was truly an inspirational professor. One can clearly see her interest in the subject, no doubt. Overall the class was tough, but in a good way. She constantly told us about the importance of getting ready for the medical/science fields. I would recommend her to anyone who really loves their professions.
Overall, not a mean teacher but her methods are dull. She doesn't like spending too much time on questions in class because she rushes the lecture along; not a good tactic at all. Her grading methods were shotty and more than half of the information about grades/tests/quizzes, etc. were passed on from other students. Would never take again.
She's knowledgeable and obviously enjoys teaching. There is a bit of a language barrier and her ability to create well structured sentences on homework and some exams is lacking so it can be confusing and and tricky. Her slides are extremely numerous and redundant. She also includes a lot of nonsense material such as "how to succeed in class".
She is very nice and knowledgeable. She genuinely wants students to learn and I gained tremendous amount of information in her class. Her grading methods is fair and she gives extra credit which really improves the grades. I wish she would have thought other courses than A&P.
Professor Razmara was an excellent professor. I feel she gave the necessary instructions and information in order to succeed in this class. I can truly say I learned a lot not only from her lectures but because I also kept up my end of the teacher student relationship in put in the time to review the material she taught. Loved her teaching.
Professor Razmara is one of the best proofers in Biology department . She gives extra credit for answering questions and also online quizzes for each chapter. If you work hard and do the work, you get an easy A. She is passionate in what she is doing and knows her material. I would love to take her class if I had a chance and recommend to anyone.
She grades you based on in class tests and online quizzes. Read the textbook ahead of time and then follow along her lectures, much more helpful. Ask questions when you're confused! She will help you. She is very passionate and knows what she is talking about! She only wants you to do well, just remember.. She's not tough, the course is. Goodluck!
Loved this teacher. At first I was really discouraged by my first test score since I studied very hard. Prof Razmara pulled me aside and did not let me give up. She is always available for one on ones with her students. You must study for this course. Read the chapters BEFORE you go to the lecture. Participate in class- it will help you learn.
Professor Razmara really knows the material well and has a good sense of humor. She has a quick mind and also moves the class along at a rapid pace so you must keep up. When it came time for final grading she was incredibly kind. The class itself will teach you much, the material is difficult, but Professor Razmara is a merciful grader in the end.
Get ready to study from the textbook if you take her class. Taking detailed notes on the chapters and creating quizlets is what really prepared me for her tests. Also try to get the highest score possible on every online quiz, those are extra credit! Look up the quiz questions online if you're really stuck. Sometimes you'll find the answer.
She is a great professor and knows the concept very well. I only had her once out the week so it was very difficult for she only grades you on test only. she does not tempt to grade you on attendance, participation, etc. I do not recommend to take her class once a week. if you take her class pick a class that is at least 3 times out the week
Bio 110 is a tough subject in and of itself. Lots of material to cover and just an awful subject. She gives Quizes online for every chapter which are all extra credit in the end. Course was hard but prof Razmara was a merciful grade as long as you stuck it out and showed effort.
She is a good professor. A&P is a tough course, so be prepared to put in a lot of work. I recommend reading the chapter before she lectures on it, she does move at a rapid pace. She gives online quizzes which count as extra credit towards your final grade which is a huge boost. Her test aren't that bad as long as you study a few days before the tes
This instructor will start her power point slides w/o telling you, what chapter or section she's on. Constantly, flips back and forth through slides w/o warning. Forget, trying to take notes. Does, not use the book or lab manual, nor does she assigns homework out of either. Makes, class more difficult then it needs to be. No reviews before tests
She is one of the best, Very knowledgeable. I really enjoy her class. She provides students with many on line materials and quizzes for extra credits . Willing to help students all the time. So organized and nice.
Good: 1. Helpful during office hours. 2. Extra credits BAD: 1. Disorganize; made students wait while she prep-up Lab Final. 2. Upset when students asked questions, 3. Questions on exam were confusing; ex: questions about chp.13 were asked in chp.16. 4. PPt lectures were long and pointless 100+slides.
Great teacher: clear expectations. She provides power point lectures (READ THEM before class!) well in advance. Quizzes and home works are extra points. The lectures have a perfectly logical flow, which makes it easy to learn an entire chapter easily. Anything she talks about a lot during class is on the test. helpful during office hours.
She gives out the most extra credit. Replaces your lowest test grade with your final exam grade. Online quizzes count as extra points. Answering questions in class gives you extra points. Plus she takes over half of her test and quiz questions from a website called easy note cards. Sometimes she changes the wording around but it's the same question
Amazing lecture, gives good feedback, review exams... totally amazing
Great professor, gives positive feedback, allows extra time for in class assignments and gives extra credit quizzes. Overall positive experience.
Professor Razmara is a caring professor and passionate about her lectures. She will frequently check to make sure you understand the lecture and takes time to answer questions and clear confusion. The course itself is loaded with information you must study. I would not recommend taking in 10 weeks. She gives extra credit for answering questions.
Start studying 7 days prior to test. Develop new study strategies if you are not used to studying a lot of material. Enjoys teaching. Very knowledgeable. She will offer extra credit. Willing to go the extra mile for her students. Tries to mix up the lectures to make more enjoyable. Would recommend her 4 A&P! Work hard & she will reward U!
Professor Razmara is one of the worst professors Ive ever met in my two years of being at the college. Her accent is horrible, she doesnt allow anyone to answer questions. She goes over a chapter and half of another chapter in One class. You have to teach yourself everythingShe doesnt do any homeworks only quizzes and exams. Stay away from her
I would highly recommend professor Razmara if you're willing to do the work. She cares about teaching and she cares whether or not her students pass. There were a lot of tests, but that allowed for more opportunity for a better overall grade. She will reward you for class participation as well. Her PowerPoints are concise and her grading is clear.
Raz is a good lecturer, U must stay engaged in class and actually like AP. Her lectures are long but that's because theres a lot of material to cover & she spreads it across 5 lect /2 lab exams (fairer grade) Rd txt bk for non-listeners but I learned from listening, ppt & focusing on what she emphasized w figures. NO LAZY PPL/nor cramming.
Dr. Razmara is a great professor and is passionate about the subject matter. In order to excel in this class you must be certain to do your part in being attentive to the material (reading book, reviewing lecture slides, utilizing online videos). She is great with extra credit (online quizzes; class participation). TIME MANAGEMENT IS IMPORTANT!!!
Professor Razmara took a massive volume of information that we're required to know and made it accessible and easy to understand, which is no small feat. Her class is tough and you will definitely work for your grade, but she will make sure that you know what you're doing by the end of the semester. I would take her again in a heartbeat.
Dr. Razmara is passionate about A&P, and it shows. She puts a lot of time and energy into making sure her students understand the material and pass. I took a lot of lecture notes, made study guides, read and took notes on the textbook, and prepared well in advance for the exams. If there's something you don't understand, speak up. She'll help you.
Dr. Razmara is an amazing, caring, and organized professor. She gives you multiple ways to succeed in her class. She gives detailed power points that follow the textbook, outlines you *SHOULD DEFINITELY* fill out while reading, homework & extra credit quizzes w/ questions almost identical to the exam. If you don't get a good grade it's on YOU.
Dr. Razmara is a very fair professor. All of your grade comes from test scores and extra credit quizzes. Lectures are heavy and she moves quickly, however if you pay attention and read the textbook the material is easy to grasp. You will need to study a lot, but she makes it clear what we needed to know for exams. Extra credit quizzes really help!
Razmara doesnt give lecture exam outlines; she essentially says be prepared to be quizzed on any of the material. A&P is already a challenging course and she's not concerned with making it any easier. I got an A because I basically taught myself. If you give yourself other resources than her (tutor lab, study groups, self motivation), youll be ok.
if you want to learn and study anatomy well, take her. if you wanna have A as well, take her. Her exams are not hard, lab exams are easy to boost your grade. It really needs time and effort for any anatomy classes in any schools, not her fault. If you are not up to learn anatomy and physiology, forget being involved in the medicine.
Dr. Razmara is passionate about teaching. She is always available for questions outside of class and she encourages critical thinking. If you're the type of person that is willing to put in hard work (at least 2 hours a day 7 days a week) you will pass this class. I got a 95 overall in this class and I sure worked hard for it!
Dr. Razmara is the worst professor that I had at CCP. I am great at science, but Razmara teaches 110 confusingly. Her ppt slides are hefty and she SKIPS AROUND. If you take notes by hand, then good luck! Print the ppts! Her accent makes things more difficult to understand. Get ready to learn the material by yourself. I would STAY AWAY, if possible.
I expected this class to be good by seeing some of the reviews but it ended up being really bad. Its sad to say that I was in hell for 2 weeks. I know this course is supposed to be hard but she makes it 10x harder. If you really love your GPA then I would say try to stay away from this woman. Youll thank me later
She's the worst professor i ever had. Her power points are super long. we did like 2 labs out of the semester. All she do is lecture the whole time, she don't even stop to ask question. No homework or assignment, she's not helpful at all.
I had two A& P with professor Razmara and will take her again for another course. She is very knowledgable and approachable and goes beyond her way to make sure students understand A&P. By giving extra credits and grade replacements she helps students but she does set the bar high. Don't be lazy and study hard to be successful
Dr. Razmara is incredibly smart & I enjoyed talking to her, but this class was an absolute nightmare. I am passing by the skin of my teeth and I studied more than I ever have for a course before. Her tests are insanely difficult, lectures are her reading off entirely useless slide decks (200+ slides), etc. Nice person, would never take her again.
A&P by no means is an easy course, but if you put time into studying after class you will be fine. I didnt do well in the first exam but she showed me how to study Biology and haven't gotten lower than B on any exam since. Those who complain simply dont put time into the work. Follow the study guide, do the home work and quizzes, you will be fine
very knowledgeable and kind professor. If you need an easy pass for ANY reasons, she is NOT THE ONE (emphasis). Her slides are beyond the textbook and enrich the contents A LOT. Before registering her class, make sure that you are making a commitment to AP and you are passionate about exploring AP with her.
Professor Razamera is a great professor. I attended two of her classes and received an A for a grade. you have to put in a lot of time a dedication towards the studying! Her powerslides were a great help because the core information that you will be tested on lies in the slides, along with visual aids from the textbook and her homework questions.
I took this professor two semesters in a row for both 109 and 110 and learned a lot. Her class is fast paced and the powerpoint lectures are long and packed with info. If you're not ready or capable of putting in hours weekly doing independent study then you will barely scrape by. If you have the study skills and willpower you can easily pass.
Be prepared to read as most of her Powerpoints are 200+ pages. Recording her lectures really helped as well as reading the book and the lab manual. She also provides links to Youtube for each chapter that help with understanding the material. Its a rough class, but you will appreciate her in the end. Good Luck!
Because the final grade is almost entirely based on exams, studying hard for those exams is a must. When studying, I focused on reviewing her PowerPoint slides, and supplemented that by reading the textbook for sections that I was less confident about. Understanding concepts is more helpful than simply trying to memorize terms.
She is tough, but you can do well. Read the chapter before the lecture. Focus on understanding concepts and processes in class. Study from the powerpoints. Sometimes powerpoints/lectures can be confusing but she provides multiple resources to help you learn. Memorization won't be enough, you have to understand and be able to apply the knowledge.
READ, READ, READ textbook and study lectures. You cannot take this course lightly. If you can't put in the time to read a textbook DO NOT TAKE HER. Review lectures on a regular basis. You cannot miss any class time or lecture time because she explains her slides specifically. No lazies.
One of the hardest professors I've ever had. Exams are on 500 slides but she only gives about 45 questions. This is my second time taking A&P 2 and I did better first time I took it. I went to office hours and her only advice was make a concept map, that didn't help at all. Only good thing was the extra credit quizzes to boost grade.
This lady is AWFUL. She will make you miserable all semester round. If you ask questions in class she gives you an attitude and makes you feel like youre dumb. When you ask for help the only advice she gives is to make concept maps. She skims through sometimes 2 chapters a day and will also lecture in lab; she wont actually teach lab material.
Tough class but kind , knowlegable, organized, fair professor. She provides any possible resource for students to learn and to improve their grades. Multiple exams and quizzes, homework , study guides and extra points all included. Only after depatmental cumulative exam you will know how much you have learned A@P from her. No chance for lazies
Professor Razmara wants her students to do great. She really encourages critical thinking and great ways for learning the material. In the beginning of the semester I was doing horrible. I meet her for a few sessions out side of class,She told exactly what type of studying would help me and what she said worked I earned a B. I enjoyed this class
Professor Razmara is a good professor she tries her best to make you understand. Only thing is she hates questions and doesn't answer them clearly. Be prepared to read and lecture a lot she goes fast
This has been my favorite class so far at CCP. Professor Razmara is very knowledgeable and good at teaching. She makes sure you fully understand all material. I have 4 small children, work full time and take other classes- I don't have much time to study and still ended the class with a B. I would absolutely recommend her.
Do yourself a BIG favor & dont take her. She is the most disorganized professor Ive ever encountered. She will jump from lecture to lab then back to lecture. Her power points are literally like 200 slides long & her exams are way more difficult than they should be. If you try to ask a question shell roll her eyes at you and make you feel dumb
I had a very hard time at first with this class. It almost seemed like my chances of passing were impossible. However, I ended up loving it towards the end. It taught me how to work for what I want and really made my note taking skills sky rocket. I know how to prepare for tests now and what to look for. It really is a lesson learned if you keep it
Dr. Razmara simplifies tough topics so theyre easier to understand. Conceptual understanding should take priority over memorization. This course is a classic example of a standard biology course develop a study plan that works for you and youll have no problems getting an A.
Dr. Razmara encourages critical thinking in the way that she teaches and tests. She sharpened my test taking skills and pushed me to fully understand and apply challenging concepts. You will work hard in her class but she truly wants everyone to do well. Quizzes are extra credit and she will replace your lowest test grade with your final exam grade
If you aren't ready to take class seriously, this isn't the class for you! I took her A&P2 class and it was a challenge but worth it! I came out of the class not only understanding the subject but being able to apply the skills I learned to my other classes. Plus most people taking this class plan to work in medicine so lets save lives not destroy
If I could give a 0 rating I would. She doesn't care about her students and all her exams are unreasonable. Its impossible to pass her class unless you have nothing to do all day besides study. The quizzes she gives to study are extra credit but after taking them she won't show the correct answers. She also refuses to return old exams to study.
Take her class & you will walk out with knowledge and deeply understanding about the materials! Lab was a breeze. Just prepare before class: read the book & her lecture slides; listen to her lecture & engage in her questions during lecture you will understand the topic right in class w/o any problem. Please put in some effort instead of whining!
The only positive I can give is that she knows the subject well. She just cant teach. Id spend weeks prepping for exams using the in case notes, outlines, her power-points and videos and its still impossible to pass the exams because she chooses to test on the most minor details of the chapter and you can never predict what you need to study.
A&P is a hard class. You have to learn the material to get an A. You can't just coast. She is great teacher, her exams are very fair. She gives extra credit quizzes that increase your final grade by 10%, and replaces your worst exam with the final. I took 109 and 110 with her. With no science background before this class, I got an A+ in both.
I didn't learn anything. If you don't understand something and ask her more than once to explain it she'll give you attitude, after taking exams she doesn't go over them or show you so you can at least know what you got wrong, our labs was really more lecture, she does give extra credit which are the quizzes (they saved my grade).
Honestly worst teacher you can ever take online Shes super rude when asking question , you have to definitely teach yourself. Her slides are longer than your argument with your man or girlfriend (lol) she gets all her material from EASYNOTES Get ready to break your head with this class I wouldnt even take her even if shes the last one open!!
Terrible online class! Professor Razmara basically just reads from the powerpoints, gives you the power points from the book and then takes her exams off of quizlet. Little effort put into the class itself which makes it VERY hard to pass with the online regulations. Gets annoyed and defensive when you ask for help at all.
Hardest class I've taken at CCP, mind was blown by all the information thrown at us because she doesn't help at all. She's rude, unprofessional. This is a teach yourself course, she isn't the teacher just the PowerPoint supplier. I've taken four classes at once and this single class is harder, I only could study one day a week for my other class.
I took APII with Prof. Razmara for PA school. It was tough because the material is heavy but its supposed to be heavy because its medicine. If you're lazy and dont open a textbook or are not used to going over powerpoints on your own then don't take her. Also, do everyone a favor and don't go into medicine.
Literally the worst. Doesn't actually teach anything. Gives you a power point and you basically have to memorize the entire thing. Makes her own final and asks different questions than she did all semester. Uses lockdown browser. Stay away.
Prof. Razmara is extremely knowledgable on A&P. You can ask very in-depth questions on the material, and her explanations will help you really understand how the body works. Some topics in A&P are challenging, but she makes herself very available outside of class - make use of that to ask her questions, read the book and slides, and you'll do well!
It was an honor and a pleasure to attend Dr. Razmara's BIOL110 course. She made the remote learning experience so much easier. We were provided with prerecorded lectures and weekly review meetings via zoom - this alone was so helpful. In addition, she allows several opportunities to improve your grade. Overall, would take her class again!
Professor Razmara gives us every opportunity to absorb the info for A&P. It's a tough class, but her many resources (vids, ppts, recorded lectures, quizzes, games, in-person dissection, EC, etc.) are really great for such a heavy topic. I was inspired by her & feel like I'm all the more prepared for my medical future! WORK HARD here, can't coast!
A lot of extra credit. Got an A, I worked my ass off and this was my only class (working FT). V unsympathetic to pandemic--got covid? Too sick to take exam? Told you to drop the class. 5/6 of my lab group have to retake the class. DO NOT take this along with other classes. Her tests are HARD. EVEN if you studied. But you will learn a lot.
She is one of the best professors I had. Very informative and caring. Study her PowerPoint slides, listen to her lectures, and most importantly take the quizzes and any extra credit assignments she is providing because it's really gonna help your grade. She even teaches you how to study to improve your grade. I really enjoyed her class.
If you want to walk away with insight on A&P and make good use of your time attend Dr. Razmara class. Pay close attention to details. She is an excellent professor. She's a fair grader, caring, passionate about her student's and their success. The extra credit really helps with your grades.
If you want to have a good basic for A&P, take her class! She will make you scared the first time, but she will let you enjoy the fruit if you work hard and not give up. She is passionate and inspires student! I love her!
Never ending homework. If you aren't a full time student who isn't working I would not recommend. If you have the time to study none stop she is great for giving you lots to learn.
She was one of the kindest, most caring, and most knowledgeable professors I've had at CCP and other schools.Don't be afraid of challenges that she is giving you. I appreciated that she helped push me outside of my comfort zone, and I will admit that am a better student because of it.
The worst class every honestly, I feel like her class itself is being a full time student.. I have no time to study for my other classes... I take up all my time studying for this class and still fail every single one of them. the power points are 200+ slides long and the quizzes are 20 questions that had very little to do with the PowerPoints .
Professor Razmara is a fantastic biology teacher. She is passionate and knowledgeable about the human body and it shows in her teaching. Her tests are quite manageable if you pay attention during the lectures and do some reading/studying on your own time. Additionally, she provides plenty of extra credit chances to help improve your grade.
literally the worst instructor. if you want a A or B, this is not the class for you. None of her exams or quizzes correlate with her lectures. Her lectures does not match none of her exams. She talks in circles and is very snappy if you question her.
stay away if you are not strong-minded science can already be difficult, but she expects you to remember every nuance.
Dr. Marjaneh Razmara made me work for my grade for sure but she genuinely cares for the us My only critique is would be the length of the online lectures, I personally just read the textbook and looked up topics I wasn't 100% on YouTube. Shout out to Ninja Nerd! I met some great people and had an excellent semester, good luck to whoever reads this!
Im convinced that the good rates about this professer is written by herself. Lets talk about how she gives video of her presentation that are 3 hours long, then she grabs allll of her quizzes and exams off quizlet! so you sit and watch those long slide for nothing , just to fail! none of her work is hers! All my other classmates said the same.
Highly recommend! Deeply caring about your success and future. More than enough materials in Canvas. Review notes right after the lecture and use mastering A&P for practice questions. Crash course videos if still having trouble grasping a concept. Easily manageable and is willing to help you!!! Multiple opportunities to receive extra credit. 10/10!
Professor Razmara is dedicated to providing many opportunities for students to increase their grades - by providing extra credit opps and bonus exam q's. As long as you actually do the reading of the chapters and you utilize the online e-book quizzes that you have access to in addition to her lectures and assignments you will succeed in the class!
This professor was hard. She only grade you on tests. You have to use the lock down browser for every test. You can only miss 2 class. Or you will fail the class.
I have never in my life written a review. Not on food, activities, professors. nothing- I made an account strictly to advise any student searching through Professor Marjaneh's ratings to take literally any other class or Professor possible. I wish there wasn't a limit to 350 characters here, I have so many things to say. But basis? Don't take her!!
She gives quiz on lockdown camera( all the quiz only 10% grade) plus in person test every 2 weeks(on paper). Only grade tests(3 chaps per test, 15%/ea.). U've to read the PP and take notes urself(PP could be 120-170 slides each chap) & she talks non-stop in class. RUN DON'T WALK. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME. SHE IS MEAN AND GETS DEFENSIVE IF U ASK HER Q.
Doesn't answer questions or prepare you for the exams that are 15% of the grade. All quizzes must be on respondus lockdown and webcam. Reviews future chapters that won't be on the exam before the exam
Poor professor. Has bad english and doesn't seem to care too much about it. Lectures are one, I get that, but there's really no excuse to have exams riddled with so many grammatical errors. Everything is auto graded soI genuinely wonder what she does the rest of her week because she definitely doesn't respond to emails in a timely manner ever.
Do not take. Can't understand English & gets mad when you ask questions. I asked a question & she did not answer she told me I will get fired at work if I dnt understand the first time I asked the whole class if they understood they all said no. No extra credit, no make up, to retakes. All she care about is her conference no irrelevant to class
You didn't hear it from me, but you're better off learning by yourself than relying on her to explain concepts easily. She is not sympathetic nor does she inspire you to be the best version of yourself. Even if she graded on a curve, I would still not take her again. Good luck and avoid her for your own sanity.
Prof R doesn't use the good textbook/lab manual we bought. She poorly translates each 50ish-page chapter of the book into a 200 page powerpoint which she lectures from, skipping around like crazy. We didn't do all labs and those we did were rushed. She doesn't go over tests in class. 2 online quizzes most Saturdays. She doesn't like questions. Boo.
She was one the best instructor I had at CCP. I had this course wirh anouther professor before didnt learn anything and failed. She taught me how to learn. She was tough but fair and kind, The way she teaches A&P makes you to learn more Many resources to study , lots of bonus questions and extra credit.
I recommend taking her bio 109/110 in succession, as they build off each other. She emphasizes clinical knowledge and application. I learned time management skills, how to succeed at tests, and how to study to truly master a subject. If you put in the time you will retain everything you have covered to use professionally in the health care field.
Professor Razmara is great! BIOL109/110 are hard classes and you have to be aware when taking these classes that you have to study a lot in general, that is just how the class is. Professor Razmara makes this process easier with the lectures and labs that are done. She is fair and caring. Her class makes you well-prepared for the healthcare world.
I never leave reviews on RMP. I took the time to write this one. Avoid. Find a new section if you're stuck in this one. Take a SATURDAY CLASS. Reads directly from textbook and calls people out.
