A bit disorganized but like an encyclopedia on Criminal Justice issues. She will remember things about the most twisted cases that she peppers in lectures to keep you awake, and she tries to stay up to date on everything. TOUGH TEST but do the work & there is always extra credit available & an A is very doable. She cares and that matters.

She is a bit disorganized, but overall I enjoyed having her as a professor. I had her at 8am and she tried to keep us awake the best she could. She knows everything about almost every criminal case. The tests are not the easiest, but if you study you can do well. There are also several extra credit opportunities so it is not hard to get an A.

Dr. Britz was overall a great professor--very engaging and good at communicating. Tests are tough because she has a tendency to be unorganized in lectures leaving you unsure what to study. Homework is a lot of short papers (1000 words), but cover interesting topics so I never had trouble completing them. Offers TONS of extra credit.

Always a privilege to take one of her classes. Fun office hours, great assignment content, and reasonable expectations. She expects a genuine and knowledge demonstrating effort yet remains generous for extenuating circumstances. If you truly care about your major and put in a genuine effort, you'll do well in all of her classes.

I have taken all of her classes, and I think she is an amazing professor. She is difficult if you take the class by yourself, but if you can make a friend in the class it becomes much easier. People tend not to like her because of her teaching style, but if you go to class, do extra credit, and just talk to her when you're confused she's awesome!

Dr. Britz doesn't deserve the low rating. She is an incredible professor who cares about everyone. I have taken her almost every semester. Her tests are hard there's no doubt. But she literally lets people go talk to her about questions she feels are unfair and will give credit back. She gives so much extra credit just go to her office hours.

Only take if youre willing to show up and do some work it is not a bad class. Just know you will have to study to get a good grade. She is super nice and willing to help all her students with whatever need.

Although the class was lecture heavy, the lectures were great. The quizzes were hard but if you pay attention in class and study the textbook, a good grade is achievable. She was a little unorganized I feel like but knows everything there is to know about criminal justice. Would definitely take a class with her again.

The class was online asynchronous, so it was mostly reading and writing papers. She was pretty good about responding to emails, a few went unanswered but she usually gets back to you within 24 hours. A little disorganized, but gives great feedback and grades easy. As long as you stay on top of due dates and assignments, it's manageable.

Class is very lecture heavy, get ready to read, and write a lot of essays. Class material can be a bit disorganized at times, but she is like a criminal justice encyclopedia. She makes the subjects very interesting to learn and you can tell she really cares for her students, and always tries to be there for them. She even brings in guest speakers.

Her class is very engaging, she gives a lot of information and TONS of extra credit. She goes off topic during lectures which can be overwhelming, and quizzes are tough but she assigns so much extra credit that you cant possibly fail.

Great professor. Although her tests are very hard, she gives you so much extra credit. So much so that if I had done a few more extra credit assignments I could have brought my grade up from a C to an A. I was able to get it up to a B just with extra credit. She is also very kind and knows so much about the topic, makes her lectures enjoyable.

Her lectures are always interesting and she uses real examples to apply the material in ways that make more sense and provides students with a sense of purpose of why they are learning it. Lots of extra credit and always has her office doors open for questions or to simply talk.

This class was very interesting and opened my eyes to organized crime. She was so knowledgeable about criminal justice that you can ask any question she more likely than not to have experience and wisdom about your question. She is available to talk to when ever you need it. Tons of extra credit.

Dr. Britz expects you to work, but if you show up for the lectures and do your homework, you will be perfectly fine. She challenges you think for yourself and rationalize your opinions on topics. She is an awesome professor who desires for all of her students to succeed.

She is extremely knowledgeable on just about everything in the Criminal Justice and if she does not know the answer, she will not lie to you, but will help you find an answer! She has many connections and is a great contact to have. Without her, I would not have gotten a job and I am forever grateful to her.

This was my first criminal justice class with Dr. Britz. I was blown away with how much she knows about the entire criminal justice system. Any question that was asked she knew the answer to. Could not recommend enough if you want a professor that cares about her students.

I have seen a lot of people say that she is disorganized, but I completely disagree. I have taken SEVERAL of her classes and I always know what to expect from each unit. They are all the same in regard to requirements. She can go off on tangents, but they tend to be relevant to the class and are testable material. She is so caring, though.

This class was pretty hard, but I expected that since it is an intro class. Every other intro class I have taken at Clemson has been difficult because it is so much information at once. She gives so much extra credit that if you make a bad grade, it is all on you. She is a fair grader, but expects you to do your work.

Most helpful professor I have ever had. She was the first person to go out of her way and assist me in finding an internship during the summer. She is also always available if you have questions or need assistance with homework or questions about the exam.

I just finished my class with Dr. Britz and I really did enjoy her as a person. She definitely gets a little all over the place during lectures but I think a lot of that is because she wants us to know as much as we can. Something I would do differently in the class is read the textbook more thoroughly. I think it would have helped clarify things.

Dr. Britz is truly a great professor and is passionate about what she is teaching. Her tests are difficult and she readily admits that and offers over a letter grade of extra credit to balance it out. If you actually do the readings and study the course material than an A is definitely attainable.

Dr. Britz is very knowledgable about criminal justice. Her exams can a little difficult but she offers so much extra credit it is easily made up. She is also very accessible outside of class time and gives her personal phone number out so students are able to reach her at any time. She is also the best at getting internships. Great professor and she cares about the wellbeing of all students. Class covers what really could be multiple semesters of content in only 1 semester so it can be difficult to keep up with all of the material covered. Tests are hard but she is always able to help clear up any confusion. She also is always helping students find jobs/internships.

I loved Britz and loved this class. My best advice is to just go to every class. If you don't, there's so much info you'd be missing out on not just on course material but just on anything in general happening with the course. Study a decent bit for each exam and start working on the papers a few days in advance and an A is very easy.

BRITZ SLAYS!!! She offers so much extra credit it is nearly impossible to fail unless you decide to not show up and not do any of the work. The work is very straight forward and it is again ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE to fail a paper unless you just don't follow the directions.

Best prof ever! Made me wish that I was a criminal justice major. She's extremely passionate about the topic and knows literally everything about it. Uses a lot of examples to explain things. If you go to class and pay attention the course is fairly easy. And her extra credit almost guarantees you to make an A. Wish I had done more.

Dr. Britz is extremely educated about the criminal justice system and the law. If you actually want to learn you need to take her classes. She offers SO much extra credit, her tests are always curved, and there are maybe 2 3 page papers the whole semester. She is always available in her office and offers so much helpful career and academic advice!!

Dr. Britz is very knowledgeable in her field. Dont believe when people tell you that she is tough! Listen in her lectures and go to her office hours if you need help. She is approachable and wants students to succeed. She puts students first and makes sure that they are preparing themselves for the careers they want.

Professor Britz is a professor who cares. She takes this 1 credit class seriously but if you follow the directions there is no reason you should not do good in this class. If she gives you a bad grade go to her and ask for feedback she typically will let you make it up. She gives major extra credit. TAKE HER!!!

No matter what you get on the exams, you can still get an A in the class if you do the extra credit. I have taken her to several classes; she knows what she is talking about is hilarious and makes sure she has an example for each topic we discuss. If you go to class, you will do fine in her class. My fav professor!!

A few semesters prior, I took one of her classes and had a very different opinion. After taking this class, I enjoy Dr. Britz! Be prepared to buy her self-written textbook - her lectures are more so example/experience based! Also, assignments are long but easily graded! You can get an A if you do your work, show up, and do the extra credit!

Dr. Britz was my favorite professor at Clemson University. She goes the extra mile for students and it's always willing to help you both in and out of class. She even helped me find a job after graduation. The only Students that don't like her are the ones that don't come to class. Do the extra credit and go to class and you should get an A.

Class was straight forward and organized and assignments really helped focus me. I just wish that I had taken it as a freshman. I didn't get to know Dr. B until my last semester but she really helped me with the sheriffs office. Go see her if you want a job. Her office is always crowded but she's funny.

Dr. Britz is great, but highly recommend doing the extra credit opportunities to get good grades. Her lectures are not always on topic, but they often explore more in-depth questions students raise. Go to office hours and you will do just fine.

Marjie is definitely a fun professor. However, her tests are EXTREMELY difficult. She does offer lots of extra credit opportunities, though, which can help. The lectures are very interesting, and she is fun to listen to. However, I would not recommend taking this class as an elective because it is a difficult course due to the rigorous tests.

There is little structure in what is talked about during the class period, so exams can have questions with info you didn't get to, but she's willing to give free points when informed of it. She's candid but not uncaring. Lots of EC opportunities but not really worth it since they're usually 3 or 10 page essays depending on the points given

Professor Britz is great. I've tried to go by her office several times, but there are always too many students in there. Today I went to her online office hours and I was impressed. She took nearly an hour with me going over each and every homework assignment and test to help me understand how I can do better. She really is nice. I'm looking for.

Professor Britz is an amazing professor, she is very smart and has a lot of great lessons. Her classes are hard, but it really helps set you up for success. Even though her classes are hard, if you put in the effort and work you will be fine. She is a great connection to have if you want to work in law enforcement.

I have been taking her class every year since I been in Clemson, and she is by far one of the best professors. Yes, she is a tough grader and her class is a little challenging, but we are in college that's how it should be. She really does set you up for success, especially if you want to go to law or Grad school.
