I got out of his class. You'll like him if you like psychotic,loud and outgoing teachers. You won't enjoy the class if you don't like being picked on randomly to answer questions. I know I don't.

He is such a good teacher! Very fun and interesting class. Projects are a blast and he always keeps you interested in what is going on. He is very outgoing and outlandish and he makes you think. One of my favorite teachers of all time. Definitly recommend his class!

If you want an easy A, this is not the teacher to take with. Much work involved, but well worth it in the end. Learn a lot, have fun, do the work and you'll be happy in the end. Great guy. Had him also for ENC1101. Extremely funny.

OK i wanted an easy A it didn't happen....but if you talk to him hes really nice and helpful its just it was an 8am class and i don't feel like moving at that time in the morning...if your looking for a great teacher take him but he never gives out As...

It is completely untrue that it is impossible to get an A in Ari's class -- I made an A. This is not to say that it was easy by any stretch of the imagination. I worked my ass off in his class and loved every minute of it.

Ari is amazing. He is helpful to all his students and will go out of his way to help you. He treats you like a friend. He knows his stuff, and the books he chooses are great.Take him.

if you're a slacker, don't take him. you have to work hard for an A. he's an awesome guy though. extremely interesting and a great sense of humor. he picks off-the-wall books to read which are actually pretty good compared to other books i've read. he likes his students to be involved, so prepare for some group work and participation.

Mark Ari is the best professor UNF has to offer. Show up to class and put in a little effort and you'll get an A. He's a really funny and interesting guy, and the class is never boring. If you're lucky you'll get a spot in the class.

you really have to work for your grade in this class, but ari is always available to help. every time i walked in to class i was intimidated, but everything will end up okay if you stick with it and listen to him.

Awesome guy...lot's of work. So far weve read 5 books and once a month you have to post a 500 word paper on-line. You have to write 3 100,000 word essays. A 15min. presentation to the class. Weve also worked in groups of all sizes and there are many class presentations. He leads the class in deep conversations...

Look out for the famous speeches. Prepare to do work from the first day until the last. The group presentations are fun, exciting, and show creativity. Fairly Easy Grader. 3 1,000 WRD papers and lots of 500 posts. If you love to read have at it he assigned 5 books. Awesome teacher, he'll make you enjoy Literature.

Very fun class! It is a hard class, lots of reading and writing. But it's the best stories/books and the best topics to write about. He is by far one of the coolest teachers I've ever had. Not an easy class, but very willing to help you out in any way. And the lack of easiness is made up by how fun the class was. Lots of laughs from this one.

Professor Ari was an awesome teacher. I went into the class dreading it. I took this class a couple years ago and he is one of the professors that still stands out in my mind. He is a really great listener and very creative and passionate about his job.

Professor Ari was the most amazing teacher even though I only had him for 2 days! I had to switch out of his class because of my schedule and it killed me I sat on the computer trying to find ways around it for hours but unfortunately couldn't find a way out! Take Ari he is so so so smart and I will take him in the fall if i can!

Hands down one of the best classes I have been to. Classes are full of group discussion and tons of fun activities. Teacher is very intelligent, smart, and is very humorous. THE BEST TEACHER I HAVE HAD AT UNF!!! His class is by far not one of the easiest classes i have ever had, but this guy makes learning fun. He gives you group projects that are extremely fun and help you understand the books better for the papers. He is extremely helpful in and out of the classroom and cares immensly about his students. I hate to jump on the bandwagon but this guy is the best teacher I have had, and I am not an English major. I would suggest that EVERYONE take him if possible, if you have the ability he will greatly increase your ability to think and your ability to think. In short, take him.

He's cool in class and very inspiring. Then, outside of class, he made me think I could do almost anything. Then I didn't want to let him down. The guy is a monster. The result is I surprised myself and everyone else I know. It almost makes me cry. I'm so happy to have had him for my teacher. I love this man.

I found Ari to be extremely helpful. He helps with thinking skills and looking beyond what's in front of you. He also made it very clear to his students that if we ever needed help with anything or a person of reference, he'd be glad to help.

Everyone said I should take this class, and I'm glad I did. I graduated Douglas Anderson, so I already know I want to be a writer. Ari taught me so much about how to get better at it, and how to try new things. And he always took the time to talk to me whenever I needed it. Great guy. Best teacher I ever had.

Another teacher told me to take Ari's class to find my voice. I didn't find my voice, but I did discover my strengths and weeknesses. I also learned how to clean up my paper so I could critique it. He is human, but he is a gifted teacher.

BEST professor ever! Gives a few essays but spent most of the semester acting out a trial on a book we read. Have to show up to class and prepare assignments for when they are due but he will work with you on whatever you need. TAKE HIM!

Seriously a great teacher, but his class won't be easy, you actually have to work for your grade. The final paper we had was an obscure book that you can't find any information on from the internet. Also, talk to him about your grades and why you got it, he'll bump you up just for asking for how to improve.

Ari is really nicer person. If you show that you care and go to class you'll be fine. Be prepared to experience alot of class discussions about random topics and weird (but fun/interesting) exercises. Great professor though all around. And you do need the books.

This was my last class before graduating and it was best class I ever had. It took me four years to find one that was what I had always hoped college was supposed to be about. Ari is inspiring. He is also, maybe, the smartest person I've ever met. He knows so much about so many things. It pays to talk to him.

Ari is the best. I've taken his fiction and other CRW classes 7 times. Each was unique. You write and critique stories all semester. Ari gives great feedback. Discussions make you think in new ways. His rants are famous and inspiring. You have to experience them. Go to his office for great talks. I am so grateful for all he has taught me.

If you want an awesome creative writing class, you have to take Ari. He typically only teaches night classes (6pm-8:45pm) which is annoying. But they are worth it. Dont be absent.

Professor Ari has been the best professor I've ever had and CRW has been the best class. He pushes you to participate-very big part of your grade. 2 manuscripts to write in class and everyone critiques it. a smaller writing assignment every week super easy grades on completion. Don't miss more than 3 classes, and talk to him, it'll be easier.

Ari is amazing. He's one of the most famous professors at UNF, so it's hard to get into his classes. But his reputation is deserved. He's inspirational. You write and revise two stories for the class. You also write critiques. Some unusual in-class assignments really help you think creatively. HIs rants are famous. You'll find out why.

Not only does he have a charming and entertaining personality, but he genuinely aims to help each student become a better writer. Writing workshops can be very vulnerable moments, but he helps lift the awkwardness and focus on individual improvement. His lessons are iconic and he's willing to help if you're willing to ask. He's simply wonderful.

I had a really rough semester outside of college while taking Ari's class, and he was super understanding! He gives tons of good feedback, and he is fair to his students. Sometimes he can be a little harsh, but it is all in the hopes of making your pieces better. If you work hard, you'll do well! I will be taking his class again :)

Ari is one of the best Professors! Attendance is mandatory but can miss 3 classes. Not many assignments but grades on the toucher side. Really wants his students to evolve in their writing but also gets we aren't professionals. Basically lets you decide what grade you've earned at the end of the semester so you just have to show it.

I can't say enough good things about Professor Ari. He's unique, exciting, and wildly unpredictable! Every single class felt new and fresh. The material in his Fiction Writing was always something that sparked creativity. Reasonable amounts of work, but nothing to stress too hard over. I would 1000% take this class/professor again.
