Very easy to follow, clear notes, always makes sure that everyone in the class understands what is going on and.... VERY attractive!

Great Teacher

Very helpful, and very thourogh with the material. Some short hw assignments. not hard at all - i would recommend him!

Fantastic. Although I had a strong grasp of the course material going into the course, things couldn't have been better as far as the instructor. He was right on with the material, gave relevant assignments, and always graded fairly.

He was very fun and made the class interesting. I enjoyed coming to class.

The course material is somewhat challenging but he is a great teacher who is very funny and always willing to help students

He was an excellent teacher. Made class fun because of his stories and comments. I never fell asleep. The tests were slightly difficult. They contained a lot of concept knowledge rather then problem solving. We did get some extra credit!

Great Teacher! Take him if you ever get the chance! Two classes I know he teaches are MQM 100 & MQM 220

He is a good guy overall, lots and lots of writing. There is no need for the book. Tests are pretty hard but just study your notes and you should do fine

excellent prof. hilarious would be an understatement.... cudnt get enuf of the guy first time around so took him for 220 as well... was definately worth it... id recommend u take atleast one class of his before u leave ISU.

I really don't know why everyone is praising this guy on here. He is very arrogant and makes lame jokes. He does give good in class examples and easy tests though.

He makes the class enjoyable and is very down to earth. Tests can be somewhat confusing but arent too bad. Make sure to do the quizzes and go through the notes and youll do fine on the tests. Im taking him again for MQM 220.

He is an awesome professor. I had him for both 100 & 220, and went on to be his TA. He is really easy to get along with and makes class very interesting. I would definately highly recommend taking one of his courses at sometime or another. Not to mention he's hillarious in class. Love the jokes MB!!

Baker is the hottest teacher at ISU! He's a great professor and extremely helpfu. He explains material very well and offers time to personally help students. DSP!

DAMN!!! He is one of the hottest men ever! Any and every class you can take with this man, DO IT! He is nice helpful and the coolest guy you will ever meet. I mean who else rides a Harley to class and looks that awesome doing it?

The subject matter of this class is a little confusing, but he is an extremely clear and helpful prof, he makes sure that if you dont undersand something, you can always get one on one help until you do. He is really entertaining in class and keeps class from being boring (because stats normally wouldn't be all that exciting) Plus he is ridiculously hot, so I always make sureI go to class!

Wow....he is an AWESOME teacher. He really tries to get the class interested by talking about stuff that pertains to college students. His class is by no means easy but he goes out of his way to help you. Very nice and very personable guy! Definetly should take his class but be prepared to work. :-)

So far the class itself isn't very hard - but it is getting difficult! Kind of hard to believe he has an 18-year-old son, but whatever works... As long as you go to class and get the slides (and notes) they you will be fine!

Baker is one the best teachers at ISU. Hes funny and makes class fun. He uses humerous examples that you will remember. Hes also the only teacher who uses facebook! Tests are basically straight off the notes and we have an interview paper due which I think everyone received A's. Take this class!

Mark Baker is the man!! I wish he taught more than management and stats. Great class and makes boring topics interesting. Cares alot about the students and doesn't set anyone up for failure. Just go to class, take notes, and participate and you should do fine. The interview paper is easy and kinda fun. Great teacher!

This guy's class was a pretty big joke. All i did was go to class take notes and talk throughout all of that and not listen. Tests are pretty easy, mostly multiple choice on defs and problems and then a couple real math problems. Take this class and get an easy A or B with minimal to no studying.

The class is interesting enough, but the tests can be tricky. Study the notes he gives in lecture well. He's a nice guy but his actions towards certain people have disappointed me on occasion. I would recommend his class though, he keeps it interesting.

Great teacher. He explains all the material clearly. Makes class fun and give out some extra credit. If you don't go to class, you will lose some attendance points, but they only help your grade. Take this class with Baker... he is awesome. You will not regret it!!

a class that i actually enjoyed sitting through most of the time. He understands college life and relates topics to life situations. you do have to study but as long as you attend class, you get the material explained pretty clearly...Who would have thought stats could be interesting!

Great Class. Homework is easy, and quick. There are a few extra credit opportunities, and the material is not that hard. If you study the night before a test you should do fine. The final was over one chapter, and was easy. He also canceled class about 3 times last semester. Cool guy too, he uses examples that are relevant to college students lives

Very good professor. Adds humor to his classes which makes it not suck. The tests are not too hard if you study the notes from class. Class is just based on tests and random attendance which can be a bad thing if you are not good at taking tests.

Baker is an AWESOME teacher. He knows how to relate to his students very well. The material is fairly easy (in my opinion). Go to class, take notes, and study em.. that's all there is to it.

You have to take a lot of notes but he is pretty funny and teaches the material fairly well. His test are all MC but they are tricky.

Baker is really good at explaining things. All you need to do to get an A is go to class, take notes, and memorize them. If you do well on one test, don't get overconfident because it only takes one bad test to blow your grade for the entire semester.

The class itself had alot of information that needed to be taught and he broke it up well. He teaches off PowerPoint with some references to the book. He definitely takes questions as he is teaching, and mkaes sure everyone understands the material. Great Teacher, I had him for MQM 100 & 220

Very funny, young guy, has facebook, always willing to help and go the extra mile to make sure you understand the material. Talks about sex, drugs, STDs, alcohol, etc. to try and relate to college kids and make the class funny. Material can be confusing but if you ask him for help and read the book the class is a piece of cake. HIGHLY recommended.

Great professor! The class material was hard (not a huge fan of stats) but he always made it interesting. I would go to class as much as possible bc you will fall behind. He's available for help and always nice. There are A LOT of e.c. opportunities which was great. Take it with Baker!

Great teacher and absolutely hillarious! It helps to have some background in the material as it is a little hard, but if you took Finite already you should be good as a lot of MQM is a review. Test are a little hard but the homework and class attendence points really raise your grade. Also, the final is optional.

He is very straight forward and tells you exactly what is going to be difficult on the test. Baker is hilarious and knows what he's talking about. I was laughing through most classes, which says alot because statistics is a pretty boring topic. He always makes sure everyone understands and helps them if they don't. Take his class.

Probably one of the best teachers I have ever had. I would take no one else for this class. Livens up the class and actually makes it interesting. Offers some extra credit and goes over homework in class. He also takes time for office hours.

He really keeps you interested by using funny examples in hope that you will remember the material. His tests are hard! Make sure you go to every single class and get help if you need it. However, the homework points boost your grade along with the extra credit and attendance points.

TAKE STATS BEFORE HIM! It'll make the class incredibly easy as he covers nothing more than a stats class. Keeps examples interesting, tests over concepts instead of definitions/examples, easy 5 question homework, sexy TAs, took notes off slides and getting an A. I'd take him again if I needed to.

Mark Baker is an awesome teacher! I have a stats background so the class was extremely easy for me. Without any stats experience the class would be kind of difficult. Homework is worth a lot of your grade and the final is optional. Best part about the class, Mark Baker is gorgeous!! Probably wouldn't have went to class if he wasn't the teacher!

Class is not that hard at all. Just show up and give a little effort. I got B's on almost every test, then did the homework, never missed a class, and got the extra credit and I walked out with an A and didn't even have to take the final.

He's great. Awesome teacher, he takes time to explain things crystal clear. He's pretty funny too. I would take him again without a doubt. The grade system is set up extremely well for students; you can get high B's on tests, go to all classes, and get 100% on homework(which is easy), you'll get an A.

Overall, he's pretty legit college prof. He tells it like it is, and his class is hard but you learn what you need to know! and learn it well! One rule of thumb: GO TO CLASS ALWAYS and ON TIME!!! and if you listen and study a bit you'll do fine. The more you go to class = more EC.

Mark Baker is great! He's funny and he really wants us to succeed. His exams are somewhat hard but there are a lot of hw and ec to help you out if you need it. This is my favorite class this semester and Im always excited to go. Try not to miss class cause it really really helps! (and thats when he gives out the ec!) DEF WOULD RECOMMEND!
