Dr. B's cool, he teaches at a students level and makes class entertaining, I actually went... surprise surprise.

Really cool prof and I luckily get him for chm 108. Very knowledgeable on all topics and pretty fair.

He always made the class fun. Started with some cool chemistry show and tell.

Awesome teacher/person. He'll help in any way he can. Although his grading policies are strict and the quizzes can be killers. He's a college student at heart, and understands what we go through sometimes.

Great teacher, and very clear when he teaches. His quizzes can be tough though and he could screw u on them but if u have the chance to take him take him over any other professor.

This class is not hard at all, all you have to do is show up to class and go to recitation. You have a quiz every Friday, but it only consists of what you did, and it is not hard. He drops your 2 lowest quizzes. No midterm, but there is a final. Excellant proff. and really tries to help!

Very enthusiastic and entertaining man. Do not skip recitation, everything on his weekly quizes are in recitation. Definately not a class you'll dread going to.

Great guy. He's lectures are fun and for the most part entertaining. If you are ever in the "Batters Box" know your stuff.

Be as perfect on those lab reports as possible. He will give you a 100 if your report is ABSOLUTELY PERFECT. Easy A if you do your work right and follow directions. Extra credit is possible and there's 2 quizzes no midterm no final.

Best teacher ever. Only problem is that he sometimes (at lease once a day) goes off topic.

Professor Benvenuto is such a good teacher! Not only is he entertaining to listen to, but he knows the material, and makes it easy to understand. Although he does get off topic alot, it makes the class much more interesting!! I LOVE HIM!

Dr. B is by far the funniest chemistry teacher i've ever had the pleasure of being taught by. He puts humor in chemistry which is rare, but helps a lot with the understanding. He's like a kid given a PHD trying to teach us, but hes so familiar with everything its like its all engraved in his brain. Dr. B is definitely a teacher to have for chem!

Benvenuto is the man! He teaches so well that you just understand and remember everything and he always answers any questions. Just watch your spelling, he'll mark a problem half wrong if you spell the elements name incorrectly. Take his class any chance you get!

Dr. B's the bomb. Sometimes his teaching isn't the clearest, but he really tries to get you to understand chemistry beyond just what you need for the quizzes. Read the book, pay attention to his trivia, and never even make it look like you might have plagiarized! He'll shut you DOWN. Go to recitation & office hours; he's always willing to help!

Dr. B is a great professor. He explains the material very well during his lectures and keeps it interesting by cracking jokes here and there. The quizzes can sometimes be tough, but if you pay attention and take good notes during class, you will do fine. I would definitely recommend him to others.

He is the head of the chemistry department. I thought the class would be considerably difficult but, it really was not that bad. He gave out extra credit which was nice because the only things that compile your grades are quizzes, the midterm, and the final. Overall, I really enjoyed his class and I would take him again.

He's a really cool guy if you talk to him. Super funny. He has regular tests every Friday.

Benvenuto is a great professor. He lectures Monday and Wednesday. Recitation is on Thursday and you review what was taught. Friday is a quiz worth 50 points. This is repeated every week. If you go to class, spend time and actually understand how to work out the problems you will have a good time in the class. The textbook helped a lot. Take him!

Okay so Mark Benvenuto was an amazing professor and I actually learned. However, if you need help the day of a quiz GOOD LUCK! He has quizzes every week and one final (no midterm) the final is basically the new material with a little from each week since the beginning. I would take again! I liked him and his teachings. Show up to recitation.

He makes it hard for you to get an A on his quizzes with his random hard questions but overall not a bad class.

My favorite prof at the university. Expect to have 50 point quizzes every Friday. These quizzes are IDENTICAL to the practice sheets of recitation. Everything that he writes on the board is important. He also offers a lot of extra credit and three quiz drops. Would for sure take him again, a very funny man who has a story for every topic of chem.

Dr. B is a very nice professor. His chem lab is fairly easy as long as you show up, and participate in lab. Instructions on lab reports were very clear, if a student ever needed help with them, he was always willing to help. Overall recommend!

As long as you attend lectures, keep up on course material, and ask questions when confused, you will do just fine. Weekly quizzes were difficult at times, but if you take notes during class and study them, you will do just fine. Make sure to also attend recitation!

Dr. Benvenuto is extremely smart so be prepared to do some thinking. He provides so much help when needed and is extremely lenient if you show that you care about your grade. Often times, if I changed the simple mistakes on lab reports, I would receive most or all of my lost credit for that assignment. He's also so kind. Truly honored to know him.

This class is overall manageable. Its just annoying how the only points you get are the 30 point quizzes every Friday. Theyre pretty challenging, but he does exempt 3 of them. I would definitely recommend to go to recitations.

Dr. B is a pretty cool guy. He never made me feel stupid even when I asked him the dumbest questions. Reading the book before the lectures help a lot because he lectures pretty fast. Going to recitation helps too. He gives out three extra credit opportunities all 3pts each. That's 9 extra points-don't pass that up.

Love Dr. B! Makes lectures super enjoyable and is always joking around. He has helpful office hours, very easy to talk to and is always willing to answer any questions. He knows what he is talking about and helps his students out in any way. He gives multiple chances to earn extra credit by attending different things.

Great instructor by far. Would definitely recommend. Easiest, less stressful class I have taken and he is hilarious!

Love Dr. B! Literally so nice and funny. This was my second semester having him. This was chem lab so there were no tests just lab reports. The first couple reports he grades strict on, but the rest were very easy. He aims toward letting you do your own thing and experiment in the lab. He's very understanding and easy to talk to, so don't be shy.

Very good teacher, made me like chem. Quizzes every week online that were not very difficult and we had recitations to go over problems once a week.

Best professor I have taken so far. He doesn't use recitation or give quizzes. He's a little picky with the first few lab reports, but the labs are so fun. For the last few labs, you get to pick what you want to do and get to do it in a group.

best professor for a lab ever. so funny and great to talk to. let us be creative in lab and try whatever we wanted and genuinely enjoyed working with all of his students. he cares about students and gives good feedback. he always has something to teach and made me enjoy chemistry.

Dr. B was the best he was funny and taught us very basic chemistry. the class is based on the online quizzes which he emails to you and the final was the same way. this class was an easy A but if you do bad on quizzes you might not be good. attendance is mandatory but missing a few classes wouldnt hurt your grade Dr. B is an amazing teacher to have

Dr. B was the best prof I had this semester. His lab is so much fun. First couple of lab reports he grades tough but the rest were easy A's. He let u experiment in the lab and made u think outside of the box. I def recommend his lab if you are looking for something research-based. He gave a BUNCH of extra credit at the end, so take advantage of it.

If you have the chance to take Dr. B do it! He is my favorite professor at UDM and you will actually enjoy your time in lab if you take him. Easy A and he lets you pick your own groups and what you wanna experiment with. He is also so funny.

Professor Benvenuto keeps his class interactive, I generally enjoyed going to class! There are no tests or homework, you just have one quiz that is emailed to you every Monday. Quizzes are common sense, class isn't mandatory, but it is good to go so you understand what's on the quiz. It's mostly things he repeats in class.

Dr. Benvenuto was an amazing professor. At first he seems very scary and intimidating, especially through email. But once you get to know him and talk to him he is a very sweet professor. I had him for lab and he was a very chill professor, if you are ever confused don't be afraid to go up to him and ask him questions His ta's weren't very helpful.

Took Chem Lab 1 with Dr. Benvenuto. He was always fun to listen to. The labs were interesting, he offered helpful feedback, and lab reports were easy if you followed the guidelines in the syllabus.

If you do not take this professor, you are losing in life. He does not care if you show up or not. You can take the quizzes and final with all your friends. definitely take this guy.

IVE NEVER HAD A MORE FUN CLASS IN MY LIFE. After the first 3 labs we got to make our own science experiments, the only grades were pre-labs which were easy and the Lab report was graded leniently and even if you messed all of that up he gave you EC for anything and everything such as cleaning beakers(1 point per beaker). Class was only 300 points

Taken for a lab, great professor. Engaging projects and a lot of freedom to pick what you work on.

Easiest class I've ever taken. His lectures weren't mandatory if you showed up you showed up. All of his quizzes AND finale exam were online. He did use a book but I never read it, really wish I didn't spend those 90 dollars just for a 3 month access.

THE BEST! Take him at all costs. He seriously made Chem so easy. You don't have to really learn anything and all of his quizzes and final were online.
