I must say this was not an easy class for me. You need to take a daily quiz, you will have a chapter quiz on each week. This is an intensive reading class. If you are good at reading and memorizing stuff, you can get a good grade easily!

You can always tell how good a teacher is by how interested they are in their subject. Mark knows a lot about psychology and he is excited to help his students understand the content. It was very organized which made it easy to know what was expected of me. I liked how I could track my grades and my progress and if I had any questions a response back from the teacher was very quick. I could tell he was enthusiastic about teaching psychology which in turn made me more enthusiastic in learning it.

Reading your text book is a must! Mr. Brewer is very helpful and responds back to your emails very quickly. The course is a lot of work, but we are in college, so manage your time and you will past this class. I highly recommend taking this class with him online.

The book is definitely needed. If you take the class online you have an assignment every week day. It's really not a hard class. If you really want to learn read the book. I'm not going to say it's impossible to google this stuff because it is but, this class is very interesting and I learned a lot. Do your assignments and you'll pass easily.

This was a very meaningful class and learned a lot. Wonderful teacher and willing to work with you. You do a lot of reading and typing since online. He does give you examples of the work that is expected. The only thing I had a little trouble with timed quizzes 20 minutes 20 questions every week.

Mr. Brewer was cool and helpful when I needed it. He kept a consistent schedule of work each week which made planning for the class much easier than many classes.

This class isn't that bad if you can devote yourself to read the chapters and do some studying. The chapters quizzes take reading but they aren't a big part of the overall grade. The important things are being prepared for class check ups and the midterm and final. I really liked this class and brewer makes it really fun.

This class was so interesting with so many different topics discussed. Mr. Brewer was always easy to contact and helpful with anything. I wish I could have had him in the classroom. You will have an assignment due everyday and most of these deal with the text book, but don't let that keep you from taking this awesome class.

There was a lot of reading. I basically failed every test but did all the work so I got a B+ which is impressive. I wasn't good at tests but participated in everything else and was able to get a good grade in the end. Professor Brewer is very clear as to what he wants and when it is due. I loved having him for Psych 101!

And he will send a personal message/video if personally you bomb something. Test can be hard but they are open book.

Great instructor, everything is based of the chapters assigned to read. The tests are multiple choice. I cant really see a way to actually study for the test besides maybe knowing every single word in the chapter. Overall its a great average class.

Prof Brewer is an amazing professor. His background and experience in Psychology helps create a fun, educational learning environment. There is an average amount of course work, paper, reading, and test prep; however, it reflects in your grade and amount of participation one wants to put in. Lectures encourage students to participate.

While there is always work to do it is very easy if you pay attention to the rubric. The types of assignments stay the same through the quarter so it is easy to get a comfortable routine. The course is basically discussion based with a test over the reading every Monday. Should check canvas at least once a day.

Mr. Brewer is a great teacher. But don't take his class because you think it is an easy A. You have to follow his rules and do the work and you will be ok. Loved his gradiing style. Grade was not majority of test score. Class participation matters. Do all the work and you will get a good grade.

There is a 45-questionn quiz every week, which seems excessive, but they are not too difficult as long as you study and make sure you know the terms. His lectures are great, but he does not cover everything in class, so make sure you read the chapter. Class is not an easy A, but is still worthwhile. I learned a lot and enjoyed class.

This class was great! Professor Brewer was probably the most organized and clear instructor I have ever had. His online class is super easy to follow and gives crystal clear grading criteria. It does involve a lot of reading and effort, which is expected in any course. Weekly quizzes are short but not too difficult if you study.

Class is organized in such a way that you always know what is expected. Assignments are the same every week and due on the same day. There is a weekly quiz with a time limit of 20 minutes, which is more than enough time if you study. If you don't study, 20 minutes is not nearly enough. Read, study, and do practice quizzes and you will do well.

It's a great class, and you will learn a lot. In the online version of his class, you'll find videos to supplement the book material. You will NEED the book as most of the homework comes straight from the book. Each week online has the same structure, making things easy to predict. He also is willing to help, even moved a test date to accommodate!

I try to avoid online classes because there usually isn't much interaction with the instructor. Professor Brewer changed my mind about that. He puts up weekly recap videos so you get to see and hear him talk about the week's work. It really made the difference for me in terms of making the class more personal. Excellent teacher!

I enjoyed this class and the amount of work helped with learning the material, The only thing was the quizzes were challenging with the being timed. One minute per question and not being able to go back and change an answer was stressful and affected my grade.

Great class, same thing every week so you can get into a pattern. Requires work but have everything you need. The only thing was that he doesn't provide much information before the final. So I will, it's not bad. Review your notes, take a page of notes about what each chapter covers and review all the quizzes, a ton of those questions are reused.

Online class was well structured.

The assignments are virtually the same week to week which makes it easy to know what needs to get done and when. They are due on specific days. The quizzes are given on Mondays and are open for 24 hours. Professor Brewer is quick to respond to messages and posts videos each week answering common questions and addressing any concerns he may have.

Definately need the book and need to read the material. Although not required, it was really helpful to me to answer the questions in the book after each chapter. Even though class is online, Professor Brewer is there to help and very approachable. Class was very organized and structured. You know exactly what to expect each week.

Excellent class and teacher! Online class was very organized and expectations/assignments were very clear. The book is a must-have, and it's helpful to utilize the PsycSim material to help with studying. Test were straightforward and final wasn't bad. There's even videos each week of him talking to the class so you feel more connected to it.

I wish some extra feedback could have been given sometimes. This instructor relies mostly on his rubrics as mode of feedback.

Online class that was organized well. As long as you pay attention to due dates and submit everything on time your good to go. Only downside is that the test's are only available for 24 hours, so you may need to plan your time accordingly.

Brewer's tests are pretty challenging! Everything you need to know is in the book. He wants you to understand the material NOT be familiar with it. There is a difference. You can't just simply memorize terms & concepts & expect to pass. Read your book & be prepared to know how to apply those terms & concepts to real life situations.

Seeing how this was an online class it was easy to forget to do some of the assignments. I suggest printing out the syllabus and checking them off as you go. Read and know the material for the Monday quizzes. Follow the directions and format for the chapter assignment and you'll be fine. Easy A if you participate and follow the directions.

Brewer is by far the best teacher I have had at Pierce! He is so funny and makes class really enjoyable. He is super helpful and will give different strategies to help you study for tests. If you put some effort into studying, there is no reason why you shouldn't do well in this class! If I had the opportunity to take his class again, I would!

Really makes the class interesting and funny. If you're like me and have 2 hour evening classes, he makes it really fly by. Quizzes weekly. Reading (actually reading) the book is essential to doing well. You can't just study key words. He's very good at giving alternate explanations if you need it so if you ask questions and read, you'll do good.

Brewer is a great professor. His class is tough if you don't do your reading. Weekly tests on the chapter that was covered the week before. Make sure to read the entire chapter thoroughly! Lectures are entertaining. Be quick at note taking and set up a study group for this class. It will help tremendously!

I took his afternoon class. He is very hard on attendance if you miss one day it can drop your grade which is sad. There will be quizzes at least once a week. The class itself was kind of fun though. I only got below an A because of a failed final. The quizzes are not horribly difficult.

This class was amazingly structured beginning to end. Although he does not give feedback,unless you ask,his grading rubrics on canvas are especially helpful. Every week is pretty much the same. There is a quiz, then a discussion post, book assignment, then replies due for the discussion,then an interactive activity called PsychSim. Would recommend!

Dr. Brewer made his expectations very clear at the beginning and made sure I understood everything that was expected. This was my first online class and he was very helpful in getting me started. Excellent professor! I didn't do as well as I should have in class but that was my fault. I didn't have as much time to devote as I should have.

If you have to take college 110 then I would recommend Dr. Brewer. He helps you with any questions or advice you may need for college. He likes to make a lot of jokes and tell a lot of stories. The class is set-up by Pierce. Just make sure you pay attention to due dates because it's not always clear. Get everything done early. Easy A.

Professor Brewer has amazing lectures and the information he gives is fantastic. His class is highly enjoyable and participating makes it much better. He is very respective of people in his class and their own beliefs (especially religiously). His tests are not difficult if you read and study. All tests are mult choice. 1 quiz a week on past chapt.

Just textbook reading, no extra documents. The online textbook has no read aloud feature. Pretty easy

His online class is very straight forward. There is no way you can fall behind. Most all assignments are in launchpad which has the assignments dispersed throughout the reading to keep it interesting. He does a weekly video to keep it interactive and does not make you have 'class discussions' loved this class!

Test every Tuesday. I don't know about online but in-class the weekly test is 50 questions which are multiple choice on a Scantron. You have to LEARN the material not be familiar with it. Be ready to apply everything to real world situations. Homework does not prepare you for the quiz and in-class barely does either. Must use text book and study!!

Complete assignments on time, he will not offer any opportunity to turn it in later even if you plan in advance.

Took this as a hybrid. Most of my stuff was online straight from the book. You know since the first day whats due and when it's due. DON'T SKIP THE READINGS!!! his stories are funny. Quizzes are not like the canvas ones, so prepare yourself and read the book.

Dr. Brewer is a confident teacher who loves the subject that he teaches. He jokes with his students in a way that makes them feel comfortable and inspires them to open up and talk in the class. The class is a hybrid class, at least mine was, so you read a lot in the book, but Dr. Brewer is good at explaining what you read.

I learned sporadically, some things stuck others didn't. Very lecture heavy and personally this isn't my best way to learn. Good information throughout the course. Possibly to mature of a approach for the amount of running start (high school) students, but fine for me.

I took the Hybrid course and was at first freaked out by the amount of homework assigned. There are about 13 due every Friday. Its actually not too bad and took no more than an hour to do them all. Most answers can easily be found. He has quizzes about every other week that are easy if you read the chapters and know key terms. He's really funny!

Dr. Brewers class was great. If you go to class and complete assignments you will earn a good grade. Dr Brewer has clear expectations and grades fairly. Expect lots of reading. Dr Brewer is Hilarious and his classes are entertaining.

Instructions were always very clear and grading is very fair

I would highly advise reading each chapter and coming to class prepared to take notes. Devote 4-6 hours to studying a week. Take breaks during studying and show up to class. His lectures are very good, but will admit, he spends very little time "studying" in class. He was an Arts and Theater major in undergraduate school, so his stories are good.

Dr. Brewer is a very approachable professor who has weekly multiple choice quizzes for the previous chapter. To be successful you should take notes on his lectures and the chapter itself, also make sure to pay attention to the vocabulary words and their definitions. It can be very helpful on the test for tricky questions. Overall, he is great.

Dr. Brewer was one of the best professors I've had for both College Success and Psychology. His classes are difficult but he makes sure its never boring and he really loves what he does. He's always clear on instructions but you will have to work hard for a good grade.

As long as your did the homework there would be no reason for you to not be able to pass his course. At first I was nervous because it was my first online course, but his instructions for what we needed to do was very clear and made everything easy. This class is easy as long as the student reads and understands the text from the book. Participation and completion of assignments are vital for getting a good grade in the class. The professor is easy going and tries to make the class fun and interesting.

He is super involved with his students and makes sure you don't fall behind. There is a good amount of homework but it is not difficult or super time consuming. The only thing that was challenging at first was his rule of no late work. Since I procrastinate it was hard to adapt to at first but it really makes get your stuff done on time.

During the first couple of weeks of class it was difficult for me to understand how to post assignments and understand that Launch pad as well as the class work from the original site is where assignments are found. I think it would be more helpful if the professor did a little more hand holding for those who need it for the first couple of weeks.

If you put in the minimum effort needed you will pass. Putting in more than minimum effort is expected though.

He's a grower not a shower. He grows on you throughout he course. He makes a lot of controversial jokes but it's so funny. Tests are literally every Monday and are 50 questions, but if you do the homework you will be fine. Gives practice tests for all of them. Miss more than 5 days of class and ur grade does down a whole letter.

Very nice guy. Learned a lot of interesting topics taking his online course. Only thing I had problems with at first was getting the launch pad set up be aware you have to go into launchpad from canvas not from another tab. Overall do the homework, and do the work in general and you shouldn't have an issue. Overall great professor :)

Professor Brewer always made me feel like it was okay to ask questions during class. I didn't speak up a lot but when I didn't understand something, he was always willing to help. Great guy!

Where to even start?!?! I took Dr. Brewer for psych100. He was my first class to ever take in college and I immediately fell in loveee with him! He is very fun, caring, and a pure jewel to be around. He makes each and every day exciting and made everyone feel loved and welcome. Definitely the best professor ever!!!

I took this class online and really enjoyed it. Took a lot of effort, but LaunchPad gives you so many study opportunities along with an optional practice quiz each week in Canvas. 50 question quiz every Monday. If you take the course online, you are recorded with a lockdown browser during the exam. Really interesting class, be willing to work!

Dr. Brewer is a pretty cool guy, from what I could tell. He's fairly laid back, except when it comes to late work. He gave us weekly update videos before the test, which was always nice to see. My only issue would be that he uses HonorLock. That software is sketchy, and I really wish he didn't make us use it. Other than that, he's a good choice.

Professor Brewer used an online textbook format with lots of built-in quizzes and homework. If you stay on top of everything it's pretty easy. I learned a lot and really enjoyed this class.

Professor Brewer had reasonable expectations, very clear and manageable lessons & book work. The quizzes were all based on the textbook as well as the discussions. Great teacher overall!

Mr. Brewer was a really nice teacher and had a rubric for most, if not all assignments so you knew exactly what had to be done. The assignments themselves weren't that hard and I had fun learning about psychology.

This professor I have to say really cares about his students, hands down this best professor I have ever had in my 3 almost 4 years at college!

Friendly and enthusiastic teacher, exam is not too hard. Learning along with the Quizzlet and youll be fine.

Dr. Brewer uses LaunchPad for the majority of assignments and quizzes with 1 discussion board per week. There's a lot of information to digest each week, but if you keep up with it, the tests aren't terribly difficult. Quizzes are open book, tests are taken using HonorLock. He's funny, personable, and responds quickly to email. Highly recommend!

He was a great professor and I would definitely recommend him to anyone. There was kind of a lot of homework, but most were easy, small assignments that didn't take hardly any time.

I really enjoyed Psych 200 with Dr, Brewer. His weekly videos are entertaining as well as informative.

Dr. Brewer is pretty great!! I made the mistake of missing a few discussion posts (which are easy, so dont do that!) and it brought my grade down a bit. Life is busy, ya know? He is relatable, funny and genuinely cares about you succeeding which is necessary for a psychology class. I would definitely take another one of his classes!

Overall, this class was pretty easy if you read the textbook chapter every week. The week's work is based on the reading and doesn't take too much time to complete. I would 110% recommend Professor Brewer to anyone looking to take a psychology class at Pierce. Good luck!!

If you are taking the College 115 class I absolutely recommend him! He really cares about his students and wants them to succeed. He understands students very well and is not super demanding, knows how to keep the atmosphere light, and as long as you attend his class and read the rubrics for the assignments this class is a guaranteed A.

I didn't really want to take 115 but I'm sure glad I chose Dr. Brewer. He explained assignments and was always willing to help if I didn't understand exactly what I was supposed to do. Great professor!

This was a helpful class. It was my first term at Pierce and professor Brewer gave us lots of ideas about how to succeed here. Im taking psychology with him next term.

Dr. Brewer is a really nice professor. He is very straightforward on the expectations of the assignments and will respond to your emails after school hours if there's an issue that you're having. A thing to note is that he counts attendance as a grade, so if you miss one or two days, you'll be fine but the points do add up.

I took psych 100 with Dr. Brewer last year and I loved that class. I waited until he was teaching 200 so I could take it with him. Very caring and helpful and always made me feel smart even when I had struggles.

Dr. Brewer handles this class very well. Although much of the work is easy and used to show how the college homework system works, Brewer uses the material to have an interesting discussion or lecture during class. He is always engaged and willing to answer questions. Reaching out to him for help is easy because hes always willing to talk.

Dr. Brewer was a great professor for College Success 115. He assigned a lot of homework but gave good instructions and was very helpful in class and through email. His lectures in class were engaging and he grades fairly. This class is an easy A if you stay on top of your work and don't procrastinate.

I really enjoyed Dr. Brewers class. He had an awesome attitude towards teaching and was very inspiring. He remembers to make learning fun and to have a great time while getting down to business and completing the courses criteria. I definitely would recommend this class to other friends and family. First comes off as stern and intimidating, but soon you learn that just plays into his dry humor. Very engaging lectures, relevant anecdotes that help you better understand the subject. Many homework assignments per week but manageable if you schedule time to do them. Would have the same professor again.

Dr. Brewer did this class really well because of how he was able to portray the information to us and how he was with his words regarding the information we learned this quarter. Very clear and kept it light.

This class wasn't the easiest but it sure was one of the easier ones. He does not accept late work for any reason. And you cannot miss more than 5 classes or he will drop your grade, since attendance counts. Other than that he's a very supportive teacher and does his best to help you understand what's going on in class and with homework over canvas

He is an exceptional professor who gives amazing lectures that keeps you interested. I enjoyed reading the texts and watching the videos. I never missed class and attendance is graded and important. Make sure you schedule a class time that works best for you. I learned a lot and wish the class lasted longer :)

He has a very engaging teaching style- you'll never get bored during his lectures! He also conveys all of the material very clearly and well.

He gives out a lot of reading assignments and I'm not the best reader. He helped me out a lot with the reading guides he gives out. Those really helped me get through the reading and he was always willing to help me with those. Great guy.

I took this class because it's required for my program and wound up really liking it. Professor Brewer was very clear at the start what his requirements were and that made the class run smoothly for me. I thought it was a fun class.

Overall great professor! Within the first day of class it was very clear what was expected of us, however, the classroom environment was very laid back. Throughout the lectures, the professor showed a deep understanding of the material and often utilized real-life experiences/examples to convey the material effectively. Workload was moderate. Good!

Lectures were engaging and fun. Attendance is mandatory! Lots of homework depending on the chapter lessons.

He makes it very clear what is expected of us from the first day of class. Lots of reading, and homework but if you do them throughout the week and not last minute it's not bad. No late work, which is standard. Attendance is graded so I don't suggest missing a class. I do wish his study guides for the exam were more helpful.

I really enjoyed this class, professor Brewer is a great lecturer. There are a couple minor assignments every week and three exams over the quarter for this class. Great class, but make sure to study well for the exams as there is no extra credit opportunities and they are weighted heavily.

Professor Brewer runs a structured class with clear expectations. The workload is challenging but manageable with engagement. unstuckstudy ai was a great resource for preparing for exams alongside the textbook.

If do every assignment you will have at least a B. He doesn't take late work, but is the easiest grader I have ever had. Would definitely take again.

Great professor and nice guy. Very engaging lectures. He does tend to talk more quietly so if you have a condition or you're hearings not that great make sure you sit close to the front. There is no late work allowed at all whatsoever so make sure you turn stuff in on time. The material is very interesting and the workload is relatively light.
