He makes the material interesting and is really funny. Enjoyed his class and is very student friendly!

professor brewer is an awesome teacher. i like how he taught. he was funny and just knew how to make the hard things easy for us to comprehend. always loved how he made us smile, and laugh. but also knew how to be serious when need to be.

Brewer makes the class fun and enjoyable. Points are given for coming to class and there are small daily quizzes so attendance is necessary. Notes allowed on tests. Grade depends completely on you & the effort you put into learning the material. Be prepared to read the textbook thoroughly and to be a critical thinker. Wish he taught more classes!

Very good professor. Friendly and approachable. He will provide the tools but you need to be accountable to study and read the text. The book provides an additional website you can use for practice quizzes etc....high recommend using it.

Good teacher with the sense of humor! He has quizzes every week so you would need to study and read the textbook. And if you will attend his class everyday you will get everything because he is really good at explaining the material. Really good thing that we can use notes for the quizzes and tests. Really friendly teacher!

If you want a true understanding of material to apply outside the classroom take this class. If you want an easy A to just meet degree requirements... look elsewhere.

Professor Brewer was a really great instructor! I really enjoyed the conversations we would have and all of the jokes that he would throw into the lectures! He always made sure to answer my questions, and helped me when I started having any issues. I really loved taking Professor Brewers class, and hope to take one of his classes again!

Fun class. Always laughing. But you got to read!! Reading is the key to success in this class if you dont then theres no way youll pass. Dont give up its a fun class and youll learn and get used to the routine

Good, interesting teacher. Only issue was the textbook he had to structure the class around. The excessive reading was mind-numbing, especially when he had to cram 2 chapters each week for the first few weeks of class in order to be able to cover most of the chapters for the remainder of the quarter. Good teacher, not-so-ideal book.

Difficult but good class!

This was an excellent course. There were many times I wanted to give up, but Professor Brewer coached us in a positive direction. He was always available for questions or help. He used all forms of communication to get information to us. Excellent experience. Taking sociology from him next semester.

I like this class. The Professor was very helpful, taking the time to make sure that his students understand the material, and to help with any difficulties the student may be having. This class isnt easy but it isnt hard either, As long as you're in class every day and keeping with the reading you shouldnt have problems with the class or passing.

Great instructor, made the lectures interesting, would always clarify. But, Hotness? Not sure if that's what I think it is but Brewer always had a sense of humor

This class was honestly the best and most fun I have probably ever taken. Professor Brewer does a very good job in his teachings and is always willing to lend a hand. His sense of humor is unrivaled by any teacher I have ever had and class was always at a high excitement rating. He is incredibly funny and does a wonderful job with his classes!

This was my first online class ever and it ended up being a great experience. You will read the entire book! there is light homework due monday through friday and a quiz every monday. PAY ATTENTION TO OBJECTIVES given weekly. Professor Brewer was very nice, helpful and funny.

Professor Brewer cracks me up. He's helpful and willing to answer any question or clarify something as long as you ask! I would recommend taking his class to anyone.

Mr. Brewer is AMAZING! If you do your part, he'll do his. No time for slacking or excuses. He will help you if you're struggling but he won't give you answers. If you want to learn about yourself and the fundamentals of psychology from an excellent professor, TAKE HIM!!!!!!!! Besides, he's funny and adorable :)

Hard class, but Brewer's my favorite professor I've had at TCC. He makes the class interesting and keeps students engaged in the lecture with his great sense of humor. Make sure you study study study and you'll do fine.

Professor Brewer doesn't blatantly tell you what he wants or how to get a good grade. You are expected to "critically" think your way through the course, this includes picking up on his helpful hints and innuendos. If he tells the class something, it is for a specfic purpose. Most will ignore his little hints, but this is not advised.

I took Brewer because a friend recommended him and was not disappointed. Very funny, very helpful. Only hard if you don't do the reading. Take your time on the tests and READ THE FREAKING QUESTIONS.

Professor Brewer is a cool guy, as long as you read the text and show up to class it should be relatively easy to do well in the course.

I'll be honest, I entered the class thinking it was going to be a cake walk (I mean c'mon it's just PSYCH 100, right?) no...this is a lot of textbook and the tests require you know the material inside and out. Could you get an easier class? yes!but the question you should ask is this: do you want to get an easy A, or do you want to learn something?

Professor Brewer does a very good job in his teachings. His sense of humor is incredibly awesome. I was always excited to come to his class, and sad to go to my next class. He is incredibly funny and does a wonderful job with his classes! Read the chapter before coming to class the next day!! Nicest teacher EVER. Exam=STUDY!!

If you show up, and apply yourself its a good class. It is difficult at times but it is well worth the time, and difficulty.

I really enjoyed psychology this quarter. Professor Brewer has been one of my best instructors so far. Not an easy class, or an easy A... but the tools are given to you to succeed. I would definitely recommend this class, and without a doubt this instructor!

Professor Brewer taught a great class. It was a challenge, but very informative. He has a real sense of humor so drowsiness isn't an issue. Keep up on your chapters, turn your phone off and you'll do well in addition to learn a great deal.

He is definitely my favorite teacher of all time. He is extremely funny and makes you want to come to class. Not only that, he makes the lectures so interesting that it's hard to forget the material. All he wants is for you to learn and succeed. I would take his class again in a heart beat.

I love this class, it was fun and a lot of work at the same time. The instructor is rarely politically correct and I love it!!! This class and instructor is a must take if you need it, you will learn a lot.

There is no room for skating by in this class. The 'D' on my Mid-term proved that. When I buckled down, and found a study style that works for me as a new student, I pulled an 'A'. Doing all the reading and knowing the vocab words is the majority of the battle!

Professor Brewer has been one of my favorite professors at TCC. His class was engaging, informative and he taught through a mountain of information while addressing questions right and left. This class, I must profess I took it during a Summer Quarter, is not for the weak spirited. But if you're up for the challenge it is worth it in my opinion.

I enjoyed the class. I wish I had taken it during a longer quarter but it was still very informative. Professor Brewer was knowledgable and entertaining. He made the class interesting.

If I were to pick any class worthy of making a requirement or prerequisite for every program this would be it. Professor C. Mark Brewer guides the class on a quick honeymoon excursion with sharp wit funneling the class into 15 chapters of Psychology “a-ha”!

I love how easy to follow this professor made this class, he had a very nice outline for the class we had tests monday and a daily check up everyday. This kept me motivated to stay up with the readings and not fall behind. He explained everything if i ever had a question.

I really liked this class. Professor Brewer is one of the best instructors I've ever had. He isn't the typical psychology instructor. The lectures weren't dry and boring like I was expecting. He brings to the classroom a very positive vibe and he knows his subject to a T. After taking this course I feel that I have learned plenty.

I enjoyed this class very much and looked forward to coming to it. All the assignments and tests were clearly laid out from the beginning, so once I got a system figured out for studying, everything went smoothly with no surprises. Professor Brewer is a lot fun, really helpful, and fair. This class is reading intensive & I learned a great deal.

Professor Brewer is an intelligent an humorous instructor. Be prepared for a lot of reading and don't slip behind. Coming to class everyday is also a must. Using all the tools and resources that are available is also helpful. Brewer actually makes class fun.

Awesome professor. I had my doubts at first but hw really made the learnig fun. Know the vocab and youll be alright *hint *hint. U read everyday so be prepared for atleast an hour a night usually more. Try ur best and youll be alright

I really enjoyed taking psych100 from this professor.

Professor was awesome he gets along with the entire class and gets the class involved in his lessons by making us laugh and giving us encouragement to participate. The Professor gave many chances to get help from him and was very easy to get a hold of outside of class. Overall I loved the class and the professor and the material was explained well.

Mr. B is an outstanding professor! He kept the class fun and interesting. Very organized, no papers or essays just tons of reading. This is the first class I've had that I read the textbook cover to cover! Definitely recommend!

I learned something new and interesting everyday. I would recommenced really keeping up with the reading ahead of time and staying on top of your work you should be just fine! and Mr. Brewer is very nice and funny and will clear anything up if you have questions or something you dont understand! i would definitely recommend this teacher and class!

I loved Professor Brewer! He is so funny and sweet and he truly cares about the success of his students. For me his class was the perfect balance, it was a challenge but it wasn't overwhelming. He is always striving to become a better professor. I scheduled another class with him myself and I highly recommend him.

He's strict but also likes to joke around a bit. However, if you're stuck on something he will really help you if you speak up about it. Also if you're going to miss a day of class make sure its not a test day, and really the best way to get a good grade in his class is to read your text book.

I am a running start student and I had no idea what to expect. But Professor Brewer made my first college class experience enjoyable, I learned the maturity level that was expected. But one thing that I loved was that he joked around every now and then. I have gone from not having a clue to what Psychology was, to being very interested in it.

Really entertaining class. Must be there everyday, however. Attendance matters a lot. Just read the chapters provided thoroughly and you'll do fine. He's really cool and makes the subject interesting with little antics.

Professor Brewer makes his lectures interesting. He is funny and knows what he is talking about. He is also understanding if you present a problem that you have with his teaching style in a reasonable manner. One thing I didn't like was that he spent a lot of time on a handful of topics from each chapter and kind of neglected the others.

Awesome teacher. Helpful, friendly and funny. Daily reading checkup quizzes. 2 chapters a week. Midterm on 1st half, final on 2nd half. Lectures aren't real lectures. More like talks. Lots of class participation. That's why you have to be there. But totally worth it. NO CELL PHONES OR TECHNOLOGY in class. Disruptive. Even learned some stuff.

This teacher was awesome! His quizzes are pretty tough, but the work load is generally easy. Great class, extremely funny and not at all boring. Attendance is mandatory considering each day you show you get 5 points! Highly recommend!

This class was very informational. Make sure you read the chapters ahead of time in order to do well on the daily quizzes and throughout the class. To do well on the exams you must read each chapter thoroughly and take notes. Professor Brewer made this class very enjoyable and taught in a way to better understand the material.

Challenging, engaging and I'm glad I took this class. It's not the easier, but I feel like I'm better for it. Also, try to make a discussion out it and don't be afraid to ask questions - it makes the material way less intimidating and Professor Brewer is kind of hilarious. There were times where I was actually sad when class was over.

professor brewer was a great professor i learned alot in his coarse and i will take his coarse in to the next level of pysch.

One thing to keep in mind for anyone taking this course, READ THE TEXT BOOK! His lectures are very important but only supplement what the text book says. Follow his advice about how to study, he tells you up front what he is looking for and what you need to know.

This has been one of the most enjoyable classes I have ever taken. I had fun and learned so much. Professor brewer was a grade A teacher, organized individual, and loves what he does. I can only hope I have more professors like him in the future

READ before you go to class, READ the book Exams are not easy AS long as you read, take notes from his lecture and study you will be fine. I recommend his course.

Great professor! I wish I could take his psych 200 class. Very clear in his lectures and we didn't have to write any papers. There's a quiz every week, but if you learn the terms for the chapter you'll pass it with no problem. He's very funny and tries to help as much as he can.

Mr. Brewer is a very engaging and interesting teacher. He lectures during the class period, but does so in a very clear and intriguing manner. Read the book, it's helpful.

He was super funny, and pretty nice. He let you know from the beginning what was okay and what was not. If he caught you on your cellphone during class he'd ask you to leave for the day. cellphones had to be turned off. But it was a great class.

Dr. Brewer is hilarious and all around a fun teacher. His teaching style is much different then the usual boring professors and his unique sense of humor really helps you retain what he is teaching. He is a tough teacher and expects a lot from you, but is also fair and you will get a good grade if you put in the effort.

I looked forward to come to class with Professor Brewer, he is laid back and funny. Very entertaining and tells it how it is. I would def recommend his classes again, however READ your book... tests seemed really hard, no matter if I studied or not, I still struggled getting a passing grade on the tests. I hate Scantron tests, that's all he uses.

I enjoyed his teaching so took him again for this class. Plus he's hilarious!Attendance is mandatory; A LOT of reading. If you skip and don't do the reading you won't pass - point blank period. One aspect I love is he doesn't call on you. But you are required to participate; that's a heavy part of your grade. Great course!! Interesting subject!

IF YOUR A SERIOUS STUDENT THAN THIS IS THE TEACHER YOU WANT. HE DOESN'T PUT UP WITH DISTRACTIONS, HE MAKES THE LESSONS LEARN-ABLE. IT MAY SEEM LIKE HE ASKS FOR A LOT BUT HE HAS THE ENTIRE COURSE LAID OUT BEFORE YOU, WHAT YOU TO EXPECT AND NO SURPRISES. HIS LECTURES ARE HILARIOUS AND INFORMATIVE.

This teacher is great. He is making me secound guess my degree and if i wanna go into psychology. He is also hilarious. This teacher also spends time to teach his students great study tips and ways to be a better student which I appreceated very much! GREAT TEACHER!

This guy is awesome! His class is not difficult if you put in the effort. He makes you laugh, says things you'd never expect and makes the class enjoyable. If I wasn't on track for a different degree, this guy would make me choose Psychology from the start!

Great teacher not the easiest though must read and study i missed ne day but got my a but i also worked for it.

One thing that I liked about Professor Brewer is that his personality is pretty awesome as well as his lectures. There's a lot of reading, he assigns a new chapter every week, but the work isn't hard unless you tend to procrastinate like I did. Other than that, Brewer is a teacher that is just awesome.

Professor Brewers class was pretty straight forward. Read the chapter and study the vocabulary and you should have no problems getting an A. The textbook we used had many online resources that if used made test time a breeze for me. He gives great lectures and makes class very entertaining. Overall I would say a great class.

Professor Brewer is easily one of the most engaging lecturers I have taken thus far. He uses a lot of humor to keep you interested and explains thoroughly the tough concepts that are covered. You will need to be somewhat disciplined and self motivated because this class requires a lot of independent study and reading. Prepare for a good time!

He's really good at getting the materials across. Lectures were short because he played a 5-10 min video almost every day. Weekly online HW and Chapter Quizzes, not too hard, you just need to remember to do the online stuff. Daily checkups, so you might want to come to class. He's really funny and an amazing teacher, you won't find one like him.

The class was very well structured. It was very clear what you were expected to do, learn, and read. as long as you do assignments, read the chapters, and show up to the lectures you will be able to pass the quizzes. He completely lived up to my expectations. Although there is a lot of mandatory reading, he goes over the chapter in class, has daily check-ups and weekly tests (not difficult). He was happy to answer any questions someone had or to clarify, and he was funny and related to students, and broke down the student-teacher divide and made it overall fun.

IF you read and spend time with the text book you will do just fine. Attend tutors and make sure you remember each chapters key terms. take the quizzes after every chapter on your text book, and also take the psychsim quizzes. study hard and you will pass with an A

This Professor is very frank about things but in a hilarious way. He made psychology very interesting again and I hope to have him again for another class.

I found this class very enjoyable and informative. Paying attention and reading the material were necessary, but it was not needlessly difficult. The lecture were interesting, and supplemented with videos and power points. There isn't an overwhelming amount of homework, although enough that you do have to pay attention. He taught the class well.

I had a great time in his class. He is very committed to his students learning, understanding, and succeeding.

He's a very good instructor. He makes his requirements known immediately and doesn't ever try to trip up students. He's professional and very funny. You have a weekly quiz and a final but no midterm. You are required to post online as part of a discussion group each week,and a weekly (psychsim)online assignment which is a tutorial with a quiz.

Our teacher is great. As long as you read the chapter and do good on every Monday Quiz you will have an A grade!

I enjoy having the same assignments every week; I love the structure of this class. All of the guidelines and requirements for each assignment are clear to understand. NO LATE WORK is ever accepted (no exceptions). Last, the percentage for our grade that comes from just one small assignment can have great impact on your grade, so be careful.

This is a really good class just A LOT of reading

This was not an easy class but professor Brewer was very clear about expectations and always willing to help when I was struggling. He's very enthusiastic about the topic and always made class time enjoyable. Would definitely recommend this instructor.

There are weekly assignments and tests but not too much. You will need to read in order to pass. Is an amazing professor, helpful, and is the kind of professor who makes class fun. As he says, grades aren't given, you earn them.

Professor Brewer posted weekly videos telling the class to expect in the upcoming week of class. During the weekly videos, he clarified what kind of things he was looking for in the assignments, and he encouraged the class to do well. He also sent emails reminding students of quizzes they haven't submitted. I would recommend this professor.

Professor Brewer's class was one of my favorites! He was an amazing professor who you could get in contact with quickly if necessary. His weekly assignments were not work heavy, and he was not a very tough grader. Just do the work every week and you will pass. He was very helpful and gave great feedback every week in his weekly videos.

Lots of reading, but what psych class isn't? So much information you don't have enough class time to go over it all, but Brewer was good at explaining stuff if you asked questions.

I don't think I've ever laughed as much as I did in this class. Brewer's lectures are sprinkled with jokes and clarifying analogies. He is very receptive to student questions, and makes sure everyone has a grasp on the material.

Professor Brewer is amazing and gives the classroom a fun learning atmosphere. As long as you read the book and study hard the class will be easy.

50 point quiz every Monday, and you are graded on attendance. Tons of reading, but once you get into a good rhythm, the quizzes are pretty straight forward. But you can NOT slack in this class. Awesome prof, he made the lectures enjoyable, sometimes went off topic, but totally worth it because he was a great story teller. Take his class!!

Dr. Brewer is a very gregarious and inviting professor that shepherds a challenging course, with sometimes grim subject matter, with just enough levity to make sure you are enjoying yourself. This class requires a great deal of reading and the weekly tests and supplemental materials are all standardized accompaniment of the text. Can be challenging

Favorite professor at TCC. Read the textbook, show up, listen, and take the class seriously. You have to work for your grade, it is not handed out. Great man!

Dr. Brewer is very funny. His class isn't hard if you follow his system. All you do is show up to class, read the chapter he assigned, take an online quiz on the chapter, do a simulation that expands on a concept learned, then take an in class quiz on the chapter. This is basically the weekly schedule. His tests are multiple choice. No other HW.

I had to take this class as a pre-rec so it wasn't one I was thrilled to take. The originally assigned professor was not great but, for some reason the school changed the professor two weeks into the class. I am SO glad they did. Dr. Brewer was so much more interesting and made the class a joy to attend. I learned much more than I anticipated.

I thought it was really great that he allowed us to share our thoughts and opinions with each other about our cultural background. He made the class very personal and meaningful.

I took this class online and Professor Brewer was the most involved of any other teacher I've ever had in an online class. Because of my own stupidity, I got sidetracked and didn't do well in the class. I'm taking it again next term for a better grade and definitely signing up for Brewer's class!

Dr. Brewer is a funny dude. There is a lot of reading and a lot of material to cover. Weekly quizzes, practice quizzes and reading assignments. You don't show up, you don't pass. Everything is mapped out regarding what you need to cover. Overall, great class and lectures.

Dr. Brewer made sure each of us had a voice in the class but didn't force anyone to speak. Great teacher and funny too!

Dr. Brewer is awesome! Very understanding professor and great lectures. He makes you work for your grade but is extremely knowledgeable in the study of psychology. Do not skip class because lectures cover homework questions and test questions that aren't througougly covered in the text. Also, participate in lectures it makes it more fun!

In my opinion, Brewer was an amazing prof (my favorite during fall quarter). He's very personable and makes the lectures interesting and funny. He never tests on material you don't cover (in the book or in lectures) which makes the quizzes every week easy. Only difficult part was he grades attendance, which, if anything, made sure I came to class.

Dr. Brewer is a really good professor! His lecture are interesting and he is has a good sense of humor. Just make sure you study the terms and know the concept of the material. If you do that then you will get along with the test just fine.

He's an amazing teacher ! I was told by many that I would hate taking psychology as it would be boring and a pain in the ass, that couldn't be further from the truth, I'm required to take psych 200 next quarter and was beyond happy to see Dr. Brewer was teaching it . He's clearly passionate about the subject that helps so much more than ppl think.

Dr. Brewer is very approachable and incredibly funny. His lectures are never boring and I enjoyed every interaction I had with him. Gives weekly quizzes which are kind of hard but not really. Participation matters, make sure he remembers your face and your voice. If you want to listen (and trust me, you do) sit in the front row.

This was my first quarter of college and having Dr. Brewer for an instructor was an awesome first impression. The material was presented in a way that was easy to understand and relate to. There was no guess work, everything that was expected was clearly laid out. The letcures were interesting and I never felt the need to doze off.

Dr. Brewer was an amazing professor who always had a witty come back for just about any comment you could throw at him. I quite enjoyed his class because he would make it fun but just be prepared to read. And show up every day, if you don't attendance will kill your grade!

An amazing teacher. Explains questions ask very well. He talks and discusses with students. LIf you would want to understand psychology and don't want to worry about grades, he will be a great choice.

The lectures made the information clear and easy to understand. Although this class was a bit difficult, it was also very interesting and I learned a lot. Dr. Brewer brought a lot of positive energy into the class and made it very enjoyable. I would definitely recommend him if you are looking to take an enjoyable course with good information.

Attendance is a big part of the grade. Assignments ant tests are pretty and easy and straightforward as long as you do the reading. Some things said only in class and not in the text will be on the test, so be sure to be there and listen.

I really enjoyed his class, and learned so much more than I expected. You have to attend class, read your textbook thoroughly, and study a fair amount to earn an "A" in this course. Dr. Brewer has a great sense of humor which makes usually boring lectures much more tolerable. I would totally take one of his classes again.

Dr. Brewer is an amazing professor. Particpation is huge in his class which is fun because you get to learn about your peers, their views, and their opinions. There's one homework assignment and practice quiz every weekend which prepares you for the tests that are on Monday's. If you're thinking about taking him, do it! It's a really great class!

If you want to pass show up to the class everyday. Reading is everyday because all of it is on the quizzes. If you do both, it's easy to get a good grade

Easy class, challenging and interesting material, wonderful professor. only thing is that you are marked down points for missing a day of class which can greatly impact your grade.

Great teacher. All you have to do is read the chapters, do the one homework assignment each friday, show up to class,and take the quizzes. It's as easy as that. Plus he makes the class time fun. Good guy.

Dr. Brewer's in class discussions always had me leaving the classroom with thought provoking questions. I can't remember the last time I left a class as curious and critical as I was when I left Dr. Brewer's classes. He is an amazing professor and extremely engaging. If I could, I'd take a class with him again in a heartbeat.

If you want a B.A. or more in the future for psychology at the University, then this is your class. The academia preps you in everything you will need for this Degree. Amazing professor, his lectures keep you interested. It was a learning in excellence of all you need to know, and covers everything from biology to personality and more.

Psych 200 is textbook heavy, so no matter what teacher, you'll probably read 70-80 textbook pages per week. But this teacher has hilarious fat jokes about himself, is very fair, and makes class enjoyable. Theres a final, and weekly quizzes which require you to reaaaally read the book carefully. Not an easy class, but it was fun.

Dr. Brewer is a good teacher gives good lectures and doesn't give out much homework, We had to do two HW assignments a week, but be ready to read.

Dr. Brewer has expectations that are reasonable given the content he covers. His sense of humor is phenomenal and really helps to add depth to the subject. Little of the book is covered in depth during lectures, so be sure to keep up on reading. The study guides are helpful! He is an extremely helpful professor and wonderfully easy to work with.

This guy is so funny and is such a ray of sunshine. He really makes learning psychology fun and enjoyable. He's very open and willing to help. His test are a breeze if you pay attention and take notes during his lectures which are usually everyday. It's also good to write down the vocabulary for every chapter and study them for each weekly quiz.

Great professor he has a great sense of humor ! Made it very clear on when and what is due, easy grader even if you miss questions on homework he would normally give you full score, tests 50 questions they are weekly on 20-30 pages of readings . His only homework is weekly reading anticipation and practice quiz which is easy.

The best instructor I have ever had. His lectures are exceptionally interesting and he'll make you laugh while giving it, all while drawing you into psychology. The material isn't hard but but you'll be doing a lot of reading if you want to get an A, you really put in what you get.

Dr. Brewer is very personable and so helpful with difficult concepts. Lectures were based in facts from the text but he always added real life examples to really make the concepts understood. Definitely recommend him!

He's incredibly intelligent, humorous, approachable and most importantly an absolutely fantastic instructor. His teaching methods are similar to his expectations; challenging yet realistic. If you're considering taking his class, do it.

Dr. Brewer never fails to make the students laugh and his lectures will always keep you tuned in. Don't underestimate him though, he does not joke about grades. You must earn it.

Very informative and organized for an inline class and available when needed. The videos he provided for us were funny and very helpful and made the class fun and informative for us.

You WILL have to read the textbook, and attendance is graded and mandatory. He makes you work for your grade but is overall amazing.

Overall, a very interesting and engaging teacher. Will have to read the textbook from front to back by end of term. Could get an A even without going to class if attendance wasn't graded. His lectures don't help much because the text is an easy enough read and he does get off track. However, his lectures are fun and very easy to sit through.

Dr. Brewer really cares about his students. I took an online course and it was very helpful and you also use LaunchPad code that is really easy to assess. The course is very organized and very understandable. Professor Brewer reminds you of the quiz before it is due and he even reminds you of the day if you did not take yet.

Great professor! He made the lectures really interesting and you don't have to write any papers. There is a lot of reading and online homework that needs to be done with this class and I would advise coming to class because it can really affect your grade. He ended up bumping my grade to a -A because I was so close.

Dr Brewers class is definitely not an easy A. However the homework Assignments are fairly easy and the lectures are injoyable. I put in a lot of extra time study and preparing for the quizes, which seemed to be necessary for me. He is a really good professor though, and easy to strike a conversation with.

Dr. Brewer's class was one of my favorites because of his engaging lectures & his passion. Participation in discussions is encouraged but not required. Videos&media accompany lectures. There is reading&homework to be done each week outside of class. Without reading it would have been difficult to get an A in this class. Homework is easy & helpful.

Dr. Brewer is great. He was one of my first teachers here at TCC and I can safely say that he is my favorite professor ive had thus far. I took his class in the summer and it is really textbook heavy. The class isnt hard but it is time consuming. Just do your homework and reading and youll do fine in this class.

Brewer is a good teacher and a great person. Hes super funny and class goes by fast because of it. Lectures dont always apply to concepts because he gets side tracked. There is a TON of reading required. Tests every Monday and Friday. Couple assignments each week for every chapter. Not an easy A at all. Youll have to work for it.

He's a very funny teacher who gave us 50 question multiple choice quizzes on the chapter covered in the last week. The questions are easy to answer if you actually read the chapter, do the homework and review vocabulary!! You just have to do your work and study, the class is pretty easy itself. Attendance is a must or else your grade drops.

Lots of reading and homework throughout the week and quizzes every Monday. A practice quiz on Friday also. You cannot expect to do the bare minimum and get an A in this class. Attendance mandatory. He's funny and some of his jokes might be offensive to some (cussing, etc. nothing terrible) , so don't take this class if you're super sensitive.

Best professor I have ever had. Cares for his students and makes every concept interesting. Pay attention in the first week because he gives you all the keys to pass the class and best study tools. Online homework is important and can have a large effect on your grade, along with attendance. Don't worry because he makes every class worth your time.

This one of the best professors I've had. He is lecture heavy but his lectures are really interesting. He does give a lot of homework but you have plenty of time to do it. Prof is great, funny and relatable, he responds quick and is accessible. Definitely not an easy A though, there are weekly 50pt quizzes, no extra credit, a large research paper, weekly homework assignments and attendance is mandatory. It is possible to get an A if you really put the time in.

Dr. Brewer was a great Psych 200 professor. He taught lessons in full detail and also incorporated his own life experiences in relation to the course. I highly recommend Dr. Brewer for any student looking into psychology.

Dr. Brewer is a very learned professor and knows the material well. He is definitely a story teller type, this you may either like or it may make you dread the mandatory-attendance lectures. All quizzes are based on the book and online homework; and exams are based on the quizzes. If you apply yourself a bit daily, it's a not too hard to pass.

Reading heavy, one or two chapters a week with various assignments due on midnight that Friday and an in-class multiple-choice test on the chapter(s) the next Monday. One 10ish page paper due in the middle of the quarter, relatively easy. Very structured, if you do the work you'll get an A. Really funny, always looked forward to class. Take him!

Dr. Brewer is the nicest and most down to earth professor on campus! The one thing that I didn't love about his class was that he sometimes likes to tell more stories than teach & a lot of the material you learn at home on your own. His lectures are never boring though! Study hard if you want a good grade on the quiz.

He's such a good teacher. Weekly tests on Mondays that go over the previous chapters studied. Final exam isnt as hard as you think. It goes over all the chapters learned in the quarter but they are pretty general questions, not too specific. Will really miss being in his class :( Go over homework and vocab at least 2 times and youll do fine! study!

Dr. Brewer's class was definitely my favorite of all I've taken so far (other than his psych 100 class). There is a lot of homework though it is interactive and it made me get involved with the text more than I normally would have. There is a short research paper for the class and he makes it very easy to complete by giving clear instructions.

I had to take this class for my degree and was dreading it but Dr. Brewer made it enjoyable. It wasnt easy but I learned a great deal.

At first I knew I wasn't going to like Dr. Brewer. He sense of humor just wasn't for me but it tones down after the first week and he actually makes the subject fun. No boring lectures that I struggle to stay awake in, none of that. Best professor so far!

Loved this class, great teacher. Easy and direct on what you need to do and uses launchpad which is really helpful and nice to learn with. Doesn't accept any late work but only was problematic with me 1 or 2 times, enough assignments that it didn't affect my grade.

I found the text book easy to read and interesting. Tests were very achievable as long as you read the text and studied the material, but the material was always interesting so it was not a chore.

Highly recommend Dr. Brewer! His weekly videos pleasantly do not drag on and he makes them interesting with video editing ! Laid everything out for the week so grading was very clear. Do the work, participate in the weekly discussions and just read the chapters!

I took this class because I am really interested in psychology. Professor Brewer was a really good professor and had a really good schedule for work and quizzes. He was funny and really nice, always answered any questions and gave you a bunch of time for your homework. I really recommend taking this class with professor Brewer.

Professor Brewer is an easy teacher, pay attention to learning objectives, test yourself throughout the chapters, pay attention to deadlines for discussions. Start reading the chapter at the beginning of the week and throughout while taking notes was beneficial for me. Review before the test. Straightforward material, great teacher!

PSYC 100 with Mr. Brewer is going to be a memorable experience. Although the course was online, I feel the information I learned will serve me for the rest of my life. The class is a bit reading-intensive. However, the material assigned each week never failed to keep me engaged. I would recommend this class to anyone genuinely interested in psyc.

This class was online, so interaction with Dr. Brewer was limited, but he appears professional, personable, and has good sense of humor. If you get assignments in on time, participate throughout the week (I recommend chunking) and make use of the SQ3R method the reviews at the end of each chapter, you will not only do well, but enjoy the class!

I'm a sophomore in college and this was the first psychology class I've ever taken. He used the MacMillan psych textbook with their homework assignments, which is easy to follow and gives partial credit and credit for effort on certain assignments. The professor was responsive when I had questions or concerns and made the online format engaging!

If you're a self-sufficient/independent learner, I think Dr. Brewer is a good choice. His class was structured well. The reading felt dense occasionally because you really only had 1.5-2 days to read everything before the discussion post was due Weds. This is subjective and really depends on how you retain/process info. I liked launchpad a lot!

Clear/outlined/structured, he enjoys creating a personal connection outside class material, which is difficult if short on time, but would be beneficial to those that enjoy interactive anecdotal classroom environment. You can tell he cares about the material. Nicely spaced assignment dates, immediate grading and quick responses. Fair and fun.

The class was extremely easy if you did the reading through the online platform required. The professor did not do any teaching at all. He posted a video once a week and rambled about nothing. It was frustrating that he was demeaning and condescending if we scored low on the test. He would chalk it up to not doing the reading even if we had.

I fell in love with Psych from taking this class last fall and went and took another Psych class in winter. The only thing is he does one video a week that is no more than 10 mins most of the learning you do by reading and the online activities. Not saying he was a bad professor but I don't feel my success was due to him being the teacher.

Online bc of corona. Mostly taught myself. Easy class if you can read. No lockdown browser but not open notes on exam/tests! Funny guy but didnt really teach anything. Weekly discussion on Wednesday and response. Will have lots of video activities to do about (15) all due Fridays. Mostly busy work

Dr. Brewer was a pretty great teacher. Even though his class was online due to COVID he still made an effort to have interaction in the class. I wish I could have seen what he was like in person!

I enjoyed his class, I learned alot through this quarter. While there were quite a few assignments he gives you enough time to successfully finish them all. Try not to leave them for the end of the week. The only slightly concerning thing is the quizzes are pretty hefty but I thought his clas was fair and very benificial for me.

Overall a great class, struggled a little bit and shed a few tears but I would do it again

Although he does not lecture much - in an online environment - he does provide a very digestible online text with helpful chapter quizzes. Took professor Brewers class online. He didnt have any lectures but studying was really straightforward, everything on the test was in the textbook and theres a website for the textbook that helps too. Aside from tests we had a discussion post and a small assignment every week. The workload is more than manageable and he only wants you to succeed

Professor Brewer was a great teacher for Psych 200. Although there was a lot of assignments and reading with this class, if you put in the work and the time it's easy to get the credit. He encourages discussions and pushes you to do your best, I highly recommend taking his classes.

This class is very interesting but you have to put a lot of effort in order to get a good grade. The teacher is amazing also!He knows the material and take this teacher because he makes the subjects understandable its the perfect choice especially for those student who are looking to pursue a career in Psychology

Dr. Brewer was a wonderful professor for it being an online class. He was prompt at responding to messages. He did his best to make the class more personal by adding bits of himself. Lots of reading to do and a decent amount of assignments due each week. DON'T FALL BEHIND! Make sure you actively study or you won't do well on the quizzes!

Great Professor! The homework was easy, fun and based off of the text so you were reading the book as you were completing it. Responded quickly. There is no late work accepted or extra credit but does drop a couple low assignments/tests.

This class was one of my favorites! The professor is really nice and caring and gives clear instructions. There is a lot of reading and book work but its all interesting and the book work isnt heavy graded. I did have to take this class fully online so I dont know if it would be different in class!

I really loved this class. Dr. Brewer always outlined the specific criteria he was grading discussion posts on. For someone like me who was fresh back into college after a 10 year hiatus, the clarity was very appreciated. The tests were challenging, the material was challenging, but Dr. Brewer made it feel easy! Great class & great professor. 10/10

Dr. Brewer is very clear about what he expects and gives you all the materials you'll need to succeed. His tests were challenging as they were NOT open note/book, but the study guides assigned each week made sure you'd read what you need to know for the tests! Very nice guy, I would love to have him as a prof again!

Dr. Brewer was very compassionate about teaching his students and was very open-minded to ALL discussions, comments, and questions. His expectations are honest and direct, along with his videos that portrayed himself in creative backgrounds as he explained the upcoming homework. Overall, very kind, cheerful, and respected. Dr. Brewer was an amazing professor. He spoke clearly about what he wanted. He gave easy instructions. The only thing that was a little difficult was the quizzes that he put up every week, but even then they weren't too challenging.

Assignments don't help your grade much but DON'T do bad on them Assignments are EASY and pretty STRAIGHTFORWARD Biggest thing is the READING Read read read and you will pass the TESTS Tests are BIG part of grade but DON'T feel overwhelmed by that DO the readings, FOLLOW his recommended study habits, and you WILL pass!

Literally the nicest professor ever. A great communicator and teacher. Their weekly videos are less lectures, and more of just checking in and answering questions. Most of your learning is reading on your own so you can go at your own pace. Professor Brewer is so kind and understanding. Plus, he makes the class so much more interesting.

This was a writing intensive course set up as a hybrid model, textbook was open source online. His lectures are engaging and informative. A lot of writing but half of the weekly assignments were personal opinion based simple paragraphs. He offered great support and feedback WHEN ASKED FOR. You have to ask, which he stated clearly the first day.

Excellent professor. He's willing and able to recontextualize his explanations to make them understandable to all the students, he doesn't go off on tangents and waste class time, nor does he allow for the students to do so. Knowledgeable, engaging, best professor I've had.

Very nice prof, well-structured class. The assignments are all fairly easy. My only complaint is that there is a very strict "no late work" policy.

Lectures always had some sort of surprise, I like how he had the questions of the week to review the topic in the lectures. This was a nice refresher and helped me get along the course smoothly.

Dr. Brewer is great professor. Psychology 100 is a course for students who like writing. It was not difficult for me because I like writing. The professor leaves feedback on the writing, it has been a great driving force to be able to write passionately

Dr brewer is the bomb, best lecturer so far, his ways of teaching online is quite easy. He made Psychology very easy to digest and understood. And i must say his course is the only course i passed with A+ out of all my classes so far. No regrets at all and will definitely take his class over and over again.

Psych 100 was the first college class I've taken since 1996. Dr. Brewer was responsive to all my questions and really made returning to college easier than I thought it would be. He's a great instructor and very personable. He seemed to truly care about getting to know his students. I definitely recommend him.

Overall the class was pretty good, easy to follow and if you put in the work you will get the grade you want. Every week you can expect about 5-8 assignments, but I promise they are not hard. You just have to read, but all the answers are there. I highly recommend taking this class!

Dr. Brewer made it a great experience. He is very funny and really breaks things down. Each session is set up the same lecture/questions/break/video/questions. Same homework each week as well which I really enjoyed. He is a fast grader and expectations are very clear. More than anything he appreciates effort. I hope to have this professor Again.

Dr. Brewer teaches primarily in lectures. He explains things clearly, often in more than one way. I wouldn't interrupt with too many questions, though. He has time after class if it's anything in-depth. He always provides the slides shown in class on Canvas afterward, and many resources such as practice quizzes and study guides to study for exams.

Attendance is very important to him but the lectures are easy to attend.

One of the best classes I've ever taken. He made it fun to learn, and helped with real life application!

Dr.Brewer was my first in person class and I was not disappointed. Just DO NOT be miss a day my grade plummeted. The work load can be overwhelming at times, 4-6 in assignments in a week. Exams every 3 weeks but the text books have everything you're looking for. As long as you study and put effort you will be fine. Overall an amazing professor tho.
