Excellent teacher very easy to understand and get an A!

He's a great teacher and alos very hot.He explains the subject throughly so you can understand it. The subject itself is boring (Politics), but him teaching it makes it worth while. Participation, attendance = A

He tries to make it as interesting as a gov't class can be. He wants you to understand and do well. He rambles a bit at times, but that's teachers for ya, right?! He's a good lookin' man, which is nice if you're gonna look at him all semester=)

This class is pretty easy. All he does is lecture and the tests are an easy "A". He is a really nice guy and doesnt really care if you talk or sleep in class.

Great Professor! Very clear and helpful. Can ramble a little, but it's ok. This stuff is self explanatory so it's not hard at all. 2 long essays, 2 tests. Good guy.

Sometimes a little boring but he has to cover everything. Take good notes and you won't have to read the book. 2 tests and 2 papers and 100 attendence points which can really boost your grade. I got an A

Very long and boring class... feels like it last for days. Don't take if you're a visual learner. Lectures every class about stuff that's not in the book and about making up your own government... every class all class long. There is no possible way to receive 100's on tests. Nice guy and helpfu

I hated government before I took this class and I still passed it with an A. The teacher is nice, take good class notes and study them for the test.

The lectures are very long, and sometimes are boring if nobody wants to talk in the class. However, his class is not really hard coz he already tells u what to prepare for the test. Study the notes and testbook and do the in class assignments. I got an A in this class.

I took him for US gov't. Since I was not interested in politic, for me, his lecture was long and bored most of the time, but he only gave out 2 tests during the semester, one mid-term and one final. He explained things pretty clear and told you the outline of the test so you knew what to prepare for.

His lectures are long and boring! bring some headphones or a laptop to keep u busy! Very easy test, only two of them, although he takes attendence by giving out in class assignments, usually after the brake, but puts them online. I would recomend this class to everybody! you'll get an A!

looks like patrick stewart (Prof. X, Capt. Picard from star trek) but besides that a very good class to take, not too demanding, only 2 very easy tests (essay tests where you talk about what you learned in the lectures) 1 paper and in class assignments that are too easy! this class is mandatory and you're better of taking it with him!

He's awesome! he does his best to make the class interesting and he likes his students to stay involved in the topic. I took him during the summer overall it was an easy class. There are some in class assigments that are really easy at the end of the class. He uses them to take attendance, two tests and an essay, totally recommend him!

Want to pass? Come to class. He test straight from the lectures. He gives a Mid term & Final Study Sheet, you can fill in definitions during lectures. In class assignments give at the end of class period usually likely because of slackers leaving early. He lectures until final min, don't expect to leave early. Nice guy but Cranky w/out coffee

Professor Crain was an amazing teacher! I went to every 3 hour class only because he was actually interesting unlike other professors! If you do all your in class assignments and take home essays then you should end up with a b or higher!:)So I reccomend you take Professor Crain!!!

Mr. Crain is a really cool guy. He explains things well and is really nice. He doesn't give too many assignments and he gives study guides for both of the exams. He is also very understading! I recommend him if you dont mind sitting in a 3 hour lecture... :)

If you can take the 3 hour lecture, go for it. He is an awesome professor. Very eclectic note "system". Appeals to auditory and visual learners . You do not need the book. It's a fun class. Interacts with the class, not just talking at you the whole time. Takes attendance by doing an in class assignment, 4 writing assignments, very easy.

I could handle the 3 hour class because it's a subject that interests me. Good professor, very helpful, interesting. I recommend him.

This was a great class, it was 3 hours long but this guy is a real entertainer. I was a class clown and it seems he likes the interaction with his students. The subject matter is interesting, and most importantly, its not like a boring high school government class, its taught in order and each lesson builds on the previous... i would take it again

He is a great teacher! He definitely knows what hes talking about. It is 3 hours long but it went by very fast, very interesting as well. The class wasn't that hard just make sure you do your work and you will for sure pass! definitely recommend him!

This professor is my favorite. Attendance is not mandatory, just have to hand in papers. His lectures are fun, and the arrows he uses just crack me up. Only 2 tests. The time slot is not so great so bring a snack. If you have to take govt. take it with him, he applauds people's own opinions and does't mind talking about them. AWESOME!!!

clas is 3 hours long not that bad be a good listener cause u cant understand his writing for S#@t he takes attendence by doing in class assignments @ the end of class, u have to do 4 out of class assignments. the mid term and final are not multiple choice they are essay type and vocabulary so be ready to study not an easy A.

Good Professor. Class is definitely mandatory if you plan on passing the class. He sometimes hands out in class assignments, there are ten of these throughout the semester. The midterm and exam are kind of hard, but everything else is pretty easy. If your interested in US Government take him, you will like him.

Porf. Crain is great! You can tell he knows his stuff. He makes class very interesting and likes to know your opinion. Gives 2 tests which can be difficult if you did not study, 10 in class assignments about ur opinion so it's easy and 4 research papers also fairly easy. I recommend you attend every class & take notes, it'll help with tests.

Like his style of teaching - very relaxed. Overall nice guy with good sense of humor, Great knowledge on subject! I'm giving him an A...he gave me a B. So in this case, I'm giving him an A+

Great professor, there are only 4 major assignments and they are no joke. Show up to every class because there is an inclass assignment. The midterm and final ALL WRITING. It's alot of work expected in a short period of time. He's really cool though, very lenient and there to help you. He also is unbiased and cares about your opinion on the subject

prof crain is awesome. He knows his stuff and I felt really educated after the class. He is sort of a tough grader, but if you are careful to follow instructions you will make an A. He really encourages student participation. Attendance does affect your grade as there are in class assignments distributed at his disgression.

Mr. Crain is awesome! He's really funny and he knows how to explain things in a way that helps you understand. I thought he was cool and I learned a lot. I feel sorry for him because hardly anyone ever showed up, which is really dumb because he's a really awesome teacher. I didn't like politics at first, but now I'm excited to vote! :)

Best teacher! I hate politics and he made the class interesting. He gives many chances to do well and if you attend lectures and pay attention you barely need to study. His hand writing is bad and he admits it. Great teacher, funny and easy to work with. I wish he taught more classes!

Amazing Teacher. He explains politics on a scale thats very easy to understand. You will have an in class assignment almost every night) normally given at the end of class; so you have to stay to get credit. If you go to class and takes notes their is no reason you shouldn't pass. He really values your opinion rather than whats in the book.

I hated politics with all my guts. I really did, but since Professor Crain taught me I am in love with politic. This class helped me so much with the understanding on hiw the gov. work. I wished he taught more classes.

Prof. Crain is a great guy. You can tell that he cares about what he is teaching, and he doesn't try to trick you. His grading scale is a little different but its not a big deal as long as you do all of the assignments. He explains things conceptually rather than textbook style which is awesome. Professor Crain is very passionate about politics! He is sarcastically funny and makes the lectures very interesting, even though they are 3 hours long. I learned a lot in this class. His exams have a lot of essay questions in them which I found a little tough. But overall Excellent Professor!

Mr Crain is serious about politics and makes it very interesting to learn. I took the flex course. It was a lot of writing, and the exams are written exams. Do the work, you get an A. I'm more interested in politics since taking his course. Would definitely suggest anyone take his class.

Mr. Crain is an insanly easy professor. Basically I took his final exam and midterm baked as hell and passed both with an A. The only reason I got a C was because I forgot to turn in 2 of the research papers.

Awwww what to say about Prof.Crain.He's a great teacher.He grades very directly its in his syllabus and thats what he goes by.So u know goin in whats expected.You have to pay attention in class because he will do in class assignments at the end of class alot of times.But they are not hard,just pay attention +take notes.He's a great guy,do take him!

Professor Crain is awesome. I really enjoyed his class. Being as it was US Government class, I appreciate that he didn't try to sell the class his party ideology (which I am still not sure what it is, but that's ok with me). He made what could have been a boring class, actually fun to be a part of. I would take another class taught by him.

Mr. Crain was hilarious, passionate and real. He doesn't want you to just memorize. He wants you understand. He makes you think outside the box and he helps you find out who you are as an American citizen, and he does it without persuading you. Even if all he taught was 5 hr long classes with no break,I would recommend you still take his course!

A class you do have to work for. Tests are all written response, points given even if you cant cite dictionary, youll get credits for understanding. He engaged students and made lectures into class discussions. Fair teacher, understood its a requirement course. Would take this class again with him.

Professor Crain is a great educator, not only does he do a wonderful job at explaining and lecturing the course, but he will also help you UNDERSTAND the subject. Exams are written response but only a little of studying before the tests is required to Ace them

I enjoyed Professor Crain's class. He was a great teacher and knew his course well. He clarified many lessons with the use of charts and visual aids, which were very beneficial and easy to follow! However, I took his night class (which was 2hrs & 45mins) and I don't recommend that if you aren't nocturnal.

Professor Crain is great, this class was very easy and straight forward. If you actually show up and take not on the vocabulary words you will do just fine. He only gives two tests, midterm and a final. 10 EASY in class assignments and 4 EASY research papers. Easy Easy Easy class if you show up and pay any attention to him.

Great guy, the only problem i had in this course were the incredibly long lectures. Very laid back and easy to get along with. He makes it a very comfortable learning environment and makes it easy to ask questions. I would take him in another social science class if i could.

Best professor ever, he is so great. U.S. Government is a lot of information, it's not complicated, but it might be confusing. However, he always explains as many time you need, he is not a tough grader, he'll give credit as long as you give some logical answer, you won't fail, he helps a lot. His class is worth it despite the schedule. (7pm-945)

Expect to write 4 easy research papers in Chicago style. Call him Walter White for a laugh, he's not a scary teacher.

Amazing professor, I just found it hard to pay attention but he lets you record his lecture so you can listen later. 10 in class assignments, 4 out of class research assignments and a midterm and final. Tests are fairly hard but if you study and take notes in class they are very doable.

Looks just like Walter White!! a lot of writing for not a writing class.... but overall he was amazing and is really passionite about government. 3-4 test- got nearly a 100% on all of them so far. Very easy as long as you do the work!! Test are based on vocabulary so memorization. Awesome class awesome professor!

I highly recommend this professor! He is so nice, and the class is such an easy A. His tests are based on vocabulary words and he offers extra credit.

This instructor is amazing! I hate government & politics but he definitely made this an interesting class. His lectures were more freestyled so it's clear he is knowledgeable and passionate about the topics. As long as you show up and pay attention, you'll pass. Plenty of extra credit opportunities too! He is definitely Walter White's doppelgänger.

Professor Crain is absolutely amazing! He is an awesome teacher. He allows work to be turned in late. He really cares about his students. He wants to give out A's. He works with his students and encourages them to participate in class. I would definitely take his U.S. Government class again. He is the BEST U.S. Government professor

Professor Crain is by far the best professor I have ever had. He made the almost three hour class pass by quick and always gives us a heads up on what the test is going to be on. Taking his class will benefit you in many ways and really teach you about our government and politics.

The dedication of professor Crain was a vital part in the course. He would complete all the grading in a mannerly time. He gives amazing feed back and helps a lot when you ask and need it. He is one of the best professors I have had in Valencia I definitely recommend him!!!

Despite having a once a week 7pm-9:45pm schedule, Professor Crain truly makes 3 hours pass in no time. He is an excellent lecturer and keeps everyone involved. He gives study guides for each test as long as you study them you'll easily get an A. He gives 4 research papers that are easy. I 100% recommend this professor despite the schedule he has.

Although there are 4-5 papers they're fun and hes an amazing professor. Hes very kind the lectures do tend to run a little long, but overall is a lenient prof as long as you communicate and do your work by the end of the semester you'll be fine.

While my section was a 3-hour lecture, Prof. Crain makes it go by pretty fast with his physically engaging and debate-like lectures. There is a lot of material to read from the textbook, but it does help to go over it before class. These tests did seem long at first, but he gives you a heads-up on every topic that's going to be on there.

His assignment was a bit tedious but he makes his test pretty easy and gives good feedback on assignments. You might find an easier professor, but this professor isn't a bad option to take.

since class was online it was difficult for me since im use to face to face classes but he is very caring you can always email him or even zoom meeting with him and he gives great clear instructions. Any class u take writing is a must which is great since its pretty much the witting very useful of learning. He wants us to do the best we can. (:

He gives you a fair amount of work but I found his work to be enjoyable, I don't know if it was because it's fascinating learning about the government and being informed but I honestly didn't mind doing his assignments like other classes. He gives really good feedback and doesn't grade hard. Great Professor

Not a bad class, he gives plenty of resources, including several ones that go over the textbook material. Honestly, you wouldn't need the textbook at all if he didn't make it mandatory to cite it in a few papers. In all, he's a good prof, leaves useful notes on exams, and I learned a lot of useful stuff in the class.
