Mark is always helpful if you seek him out and are interested. He is very smart and willing to discuss subjects outside of class time.

I don't care what anyone else says he's a good teacher! He doesn't like to waste class time with questions so go see him in his office (cuz he's always willing!) and TREAT HIM WITH RESPECT that's all he wants. He's a high stress guy who has faults but who doesn't? you'll leave knowing the material! he tells you what he expects you to know for tests

Mark DeSantis is a great teacher... which is hard to see while you still have him as a professor. But when you look back and realize how much you learned from him you truly appreciate it. if you are looking for a teacher who will challenge you i recommend him highly

There is alot of information he has to get into the minds of hundreds of students at a time within 10 weeks. Expect a highly structured class that has no room for chit chat or comments. Follow his instructions, work hard and you will do just fine.

Smart. Knowledgeable. Answers questions clearly. You have no choice but to learn in his class. If you are not willing to then you will fall by the wayside. Can you blame him if he doesn't want to deal with a bunch of people who act as if they are still in high school. Wake up people. You're in college now. So act like it.

It's too bad that such a smart teacher has to be such a jerk! He is a good instructor until you have a question, then he'll make you out to be an idiot! Don't take him if you don't have to! Most of his students either drop or fail.

Very knowledgeable but has no people skills, has tantrums. Tell you to ask questions then belittles people that do ask. You can email him or meet with him and he will answer question but may rip you head off. Very strict grading to a ridiculous level. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY unless you are very good in Anatomy and have thick skin!

If people would realize that he is not trying to be your friend, and that most of the time, your question is stupid, you can realize just how good of a prof he really is. He is a great professor that is not only teaching you everything that you need to know, but teaching you the discipline that you need to be for example, a nursing student...

I think the best way to describe Dr. Desantis is "unorthodox"... If you can get past his attitude, you WILL see he is one of the best profs here just for the sheer fact he knows soooo much, he is attempting to make you understand that the healthcare field is not for lightweights, he is toughening you up. also, one-on-one, he is a great guy.

Had him for 2 classes this summer. Never missed a class and never saw him kick, punch or throw anything. He is tough, expects you to know the material. He is very clear what you need to know on tests and expects you to LEARN it. He dislikes students who do not take their eduation seriously.

Dr.D is a very educated and professional instructor who caters entirely to the needs of his students. In this day and age students do not respect their educators like they should. Mark cares about each and every one of his students. Notice that only the failing or student that had difficulty respond to this sight. Plus..he is HOT!

Dr. D is one of the best teachers i know. i get so sick of hearing bad stuff about him. only the students that are stupid don't like him. stupid...dont walk in late to class....stupid dont ask questions about your test score on class time....this is easy stuff...i do not blame mark at all for being hard on people like that....and yes.hot!

I have already left my comments on this teacher. But I wanted to add this.. what I learned in his classes has helped me to be a better student. I feel like I am breezing through all my other classes, because he taught me how to study/think and to understand the entire picture/process.

Dr. DeSantis is one of my favorite teachers. He knows what he's talking about and he teaches it. Plain and simple. He doesn't take crap, but that's largely because he has SO much material to get through in only 10 weeks. While he can be mean and rude in class, if you ever talk to him outside of class, it's a complete change. He's super nice.

Great teacher. Pretty intimidating in class, especially if you go against the rules, but he is very willing to help outside of class. Always responds to e-mails and offers to tutor with math or science, whatever you're having trouble with. A very intelligent man.

I sat in on his lecture last term, & liked the way he taught. The information he provided is very HELPUL. I REQUESTED him this term & yes I said requested he is a very BRILLIANT man who should honestly be teaching doctoret classes. He is WILLING to help students, he is very avail. even SAT and SUN. He deserves RESPECT from students. HE'S GREAT!!!

I have to say I was very intimidated after hearing about comments from other students. But, I have learned that he only wants the best out of his students and believes that we can do as well as we make ourselves. He just has an odd way of showing students that he cares. I recommend him to anyone who wants to learn and be challenged!

Dr Desantis is a very straight forward guy. Do what he asks, when he asks, and use your brain and the class is fantastic! I love his class. He is an awesome teacher. People who have problems in his class are usually not committed students!

as long as u you do as he ask he's awsome. he pushes his students which annoys some but i liked. hes great at offering extra help and very into the classes he instructs. plus he's a former wolverine that played under the great Bo.

Dr.D might be the best teachers I've ever had.He very clearly spells out what he expects in the first class,doesnt tolerate laziness from students,but points out that the same things are expected from an employer.Since he's preparing students to work in the medical field (where lives are in your hands) I'm glad he hold students to higher standards.

Awesome teacher. He is hard on you if you are a screwoff or if you don't follow his rules. It's so unfair to others for other students to waste classtime on a personal matter. So much material in 10 weeks. Let him do his job he is a doctor for a reason! He has taught me a whole new way to study! U think he's hard? Wait til you get in the field!

great at thoroughly explaining material but thats it. VERY RUDE and hard to talk with or deal with period. less than half the class remaining by finals. Acts as if he hates his job and is annoyed with having to interact with students. Even rolled his eyes when I asked a question. DO NOT take his classes!

Wonderful instructor! Don't screw around, and you'll get along just fine with him. He bends over backwards to assist students who really want to learn. He get's right down to business during class, ouside of the classroom, he's one of the nicest guys you'll ever know!! I wish I could take another of his classes!

A very visual instructor... draws on the board, uses objects in the room, etc, all very helpful in understanding the material. Not relying on boring power point like so many others. Follow instructions, & communicate outside of class... you'll discover a whole different person from the one who lectures. There to push you, & help you be successful!

Very good teacher. I had heard a lot of negative things about him prior to class, but I had no issues what so ever. He does get rude with those students that always ask a million questions, and if they would have jus tlistened they would have known the answer. Show up to class a few minutes early, sit and take notes. You will do fine!

He's intimidating at first, but if as you show up on time, pay attention, don't ask stupid questions (yes there is such a thing), and study enough, you'll do well. This professor is an excellent teacher. The previously mentioned "fan" incident was not about the "fan". that student was mouthing off repeatedly after the prof. had already turned off the fan. She was disruptive to the class and had a very antagonistic attitude. The teacher knows what it takes to be successful in medical careers. Grow up.

Dr. Desantis is a very, very smart man. He is VERY clear abt not asking ?'s before or after class. He is ALWAYS available for one on one tutoring sessions, answers emails within minutes, but detests intentional stupidity. Pay attn, and you will do great. I wish he taught all of our core classes. Didn't care for his personality very much but he was an ok teacher. I personally did well in his class. I don't think I would take another class with him if I didnt have to.

He was a good teacher. Comes across tough, but will answer your questions and is available all the time. He wrote me a letter of recommendation that was awesome. If you work hard at his class, you will do well. Do not skip class, pay attention, and ask questions.

Dr. Desantis gave me excellent information to use for studying. He will help anyone who asks. He taught me how to study which was essential for the rest of my classes. His class is NOT hard compared to the rest of the classes that I had. Would highly recommend him to those who are serious about learning and not just wanting to "get by" in class.

Dr. DeSantis was the BEST algebra instructor I have ever had. I used to be intimidated by math, now I am an 'A' student in every math class I have taken since. He was extremely supportive (as long as you are an attentive student and do not waste his time). Do your HW and pay attention. He may come across as harsh. He is there to help you succeed!
