Mark is a good teacher and is highly recommended. If you do all the lab reports and study well, you should make a good grade in his class. My only drawbacks is he includes so much busy work, whether its completing the assignments in the back of the chapters, doing lab experiments (3 cat dissections in one semester!), or watching videos from 1980.

Very nice professor, loves to help students and quick with responses. It does require a lot of reading but if you do pay attention in class and do the mastering A&P quizzes, you are good to go.

Mark is a great teacher. His lectures go by really fast so you do have to pay attention! Reading what was covered in class is highly recommended. Choose option A on the grading scale n you'll do fine. All the extra work will be better for in the long run. The class is not easy n test are not easy.

Great professor! Very fair. Very approachable. His tests are exactly what he says they will be - if you do the quizzes and essays you should be fine. He is very knowledgeable and makes the lecture go by quickly and understandably. I totally recommend his class.

He's Adorable. He's got a cool club-kid look going but don't let that fool you, he definitely knows his stuuf. Make sure you keep up with his lectures and study the PP he has online. If you do that you'll do great. He's very fair and will only test on what is covered in class (not like some other teachers I know). You'll get back what you put in

Took A and P over the summer. Prof. Graves knows the information and makes it interesting. He is always ready to give us as much info as he can and is open to student feedback. It was challenging to learn that much info over the summer but with the help of extra credit after each test and PP and online quizzes and homework I retained so much!

Great teacher! He stays on task the entire period, don't plan on getting out of class early. He teaches well and is extrememly easy to learn from him but he moves quickly! If you learn fast and want to have a few laughs in class take his! Very funny!

Very clear, provides ways for you to get the best grade that you can (you must be willing to work for it). He makes learning fun.

WOW I wish I had known about him before. I'd have taken w.e class I could with him. One of the BEST, FUNNIEST, EASIEST, AMAZING professor I ever had. He is a visual teacher and from experience with both A&P 1 AND 2, I have come to realize, visual is the best way to go. In summary, I 100% recommend him. And according to girls, he's pretty cute.

In one word "GREAT"! He knows his stuff. Can be a little tricky but he just wants you to learn. I would highly recommend him just know that you will not get out of class early. He teaches up to the last minute but it's for YOUR benefit. Makes class fun at times with some of his comments. Really liked him. He's cute too.

Excellent teacher. Friendly and intelligent. This is a difficult course, so it requires time outside of class, so it's a plus to have a teacher who is willing to meet with you at those times and offer study methods, guides, extra credit, etc. Mr Graves is excellent.

Why aren't all teachers like this? He is very nice, willing to help you if you are having problems or unsure, doesn't make you feel intimidated to ask a question. He is funny! gives extra credit and will meet with you if you are having problems! Wish i could take him again. if you want to understand things and get a good grade take him!

Mr. Graves is a great teacher who wants his students to do well in his class. He's always available to help students who may need additional help outside of the class hours.

Do not believe you can miss or relax in this class. I took this class during a mini-mester 6 weeks. It was a "LOT" of work. I felt so overwhelm with husband, kids and this class. Lots to juggle. The teacher is fair, but doesn't bend the rules. He offers extra-credit which requires work. Its not easy to receive the point, but helps at the end.

Professor Graves really cares and he is always available to assist. He gives extra credits to ensure a passing grade.If you are having difficulties, speak to him, he will go out of his way to help. You will have to do the work and please read your book, and pay close attention to the 12 Cranial Nerves, and you should be okay.

Professor Graves is very good and passionate about what he does. He is always ready to assist students and the bottom line is he does not want you to just pass his class but go away with quality knowledge of the subject as well. It was an absolute privilege and honor to have had him as a Professor for A&P wouldn't have had it any other way. Kudos!!

i just had mr..graves for the accelerated course of bio 1611 and lab. hes a great teacher. its ALOT of info so you need to do the work but hes there to help and gives plenty of extra credit to help you along the way. Take him if you are concerned about doing well but again get ready to work and forget about family friends and your social life!

This class was amazing! It was a lot of work though, but as long as you do the quizzes and homework on mattering A&P, you should be fine! ALL, i mean ALL, of his test questions were from the quizzes. NO JOKE! He is really fair and provides tremendous extra credit opportunities! I ended up with an B.

Mr. Graves is the most good looking teacher I've ever had! His voice is so great that I would never fall asleep in his class. His lecture was a little boring because all he did was went through the power points. If he had done something else to teach then it would be better. Overall, i highly recommend this teacher only if you don't have work.

Professor Graves is a nice guy, and his biology lab class is not hard. If you are moderately interested in the subject matter, you will do well. Just don't expect to get out early; he likes to hear his own voice. A lot. :)

Mark is an awesome teacher. Had him for A&P lecture and lab and Micro lab as well. If you show up, pay attention, and do the work, you'll do fine. I wouldn't say it was an EASY A but he does give extra credit which helps out a lot. Definitely recommended.

Professor Graves is one of the best things that ever happened to GPC. He is a good and passionate professor who cars about his students. More workload but in the end you acquire the knowledge and he is also considerate. Highly recommended.

I took 1611 and 1612 with him. He's really good - if you study the power points in lecture, pay attention during lab and do all the assigned work, you will get an A or a B. Attending lecture didn't really help me but do whatever suits your learning style best =) Also, he assigns a lot of extra credit which definitely helps!

Mr. Graves is one of the best professors I've ever had. It's clear he really wants his students to succeed - I've never had any teacher so willing to stay after class, answer e-mails, etc., anything to help his students really understand the subject matter. Stay on top of Mastering A & P and do all his extra credit, and an A is very doable.

Mr. Graves is an excellent professor. I took him over the summer for biology 2107. It was kinda intense because of the short time frame. His tests are pretty hard but if you do your work and study hard, you will do fine. Although he does not curve his test, he offers extra credit which is VERY helpful. I would definitely recommend him.

This guy is a great teacher but his tests come directly from the mastering biology test bank. Anything he teaches in class is barely on the test. If you're taking him, be sure to study the test banks and online quiz's, TRUST ME they help more than his power point slides. I personally would NOT recommend him but if your stuck with him GOOD LUCK!!

Mr. Graves is amazing professor. His age may feel a little intimidating, however, overall he is good at what he does. I love the way he grades. It is very fair. Yes it is definitely a lot of work and the class is hard itself. He gives many opportunities to do well in the class. Take advantage of all the extra credits. They are WORTH the time.

He is AWESOME. Tons of extra credit. HE really wants you to do well in the class and will always help. I took his lab, we had a paper due and he stayed after for 2 days, helping me with all my corrections and answered every question that I had. Take him you won't be disappointed.

He is amazing professor, he always want to help student when you ask to help. His test is not really easy, but if you study, and you ar not lazy, you can get "A". But if you ar lazy, you cannot go through his teaching. I took 1611 half term class, it was not easy because we went through all material too fast!other than that eveything was good!

I took him for 1/2 sem and if that is what he is offering DO NOT TAKE IT. He is nice, gives lots of EC but it's not worth that much. He is helpful but goes over the info way too fast. He doesn't give a study guide for final so you must just study EVERYTHING you have over the entire semester. Which is 15 chapters. DON'T TAKE A HALF SEMESTER!!!

I took Dr. Grave's half mester A&P lecture & lab and it's A LOT of info to take in but you can make an A if you put effort into all your assignments. He gives so much EC and is very helpful. He always makes himself available to help his students. He talks fast but gave lots of helpful metaphors and examples. I really enjoyed his class. TAKE IT! :)

Mr. Graves is a really great professor. i took his half semester lecture/ lab and boy did it went by FAST! He gives us a lot of busy work but they are very helpful. There are lots of extra credits! Professor Graves is awesome! I was nervous about Microbiology prior to class...Mr. Graves humor adds to the class and subject so you are not bored to death! The 8 week course is challenging if you have a full time job, but if you take notes and do the pre test on mastering A and P you should do well. He also adds humor into his teaching which makes it more interesting and easier to retain. I would recommend him.

SUPER HELPFUL! That said, speaks a mile a minute & seemingly hasn't mastered the art of speaking to his students like they don't the subject! That is an art form for the sciences, assuming your students know the material is a huge mistake & can leave students feeling overwhelmed! This is an INTENSE course, no matter the instructor & he is HELPFUL!

He is real sweet. Seems nice like he wants everyone tk understnad. He's a cute kid too except the eminem hair colur he is real young! Gives study guides and big heads up on what you better no. Havent finished yet but got a C on firt test and a B on second. Extra credit for tests too.

Professor Graves is an excellent teacher. His classes aren't easy, but they aren't painfully difficult either. He is very interested in teaching and will work very hard to teach students all of the difficult concepts. There are a lot of assignments in his class, but they all help you to prepare and pass the exams and final. I recommend him.

It's A&P people. If you cant handle the work load, how you going to survive in the work force! Grow up or take a different class. He's as good as a Biology professor you goina get at a community college.

Fantastic! I got my A! If you work hard through semester & do all work available to you through mastering, if you attend class & pay attention you can bank on an A or B. Professor Graves is an extremely helpful and understanding professor. He makes himself available via, phone, e-mail and office. He answers questions promptly. The course is a lot of work, especially for the summer semester but if you are a dedicated student and knows what it takes to be successful, you should have no problem! TAKE THIS CLASS!

I just took Professor Graves for Microbiology lab over the summer. It was an extremely fast paced class and was not easy. We did a total of six lab reports, 24 drawings and 10 online quizzes but he gives you plenty of opportunities for extra credit. If you truly want to learn the subject and have the time to put into this class he is a great choice

He is very helpful teacher, the class for nature is extremely hard but he gives you opportunities to increase your grades, not so easy but if you want to learn, you have to STUDY!!

I love the way he grade, he gives you a lot of opportunities, I thought that I would not be able to pass the class bc the nature of the class is hard, he was awesome explaining, I'm not so good student, but I really gave my 100%, he saw that and in every student and we appreciate that. Mr. Graves is a VERY FAST TALKER!! Class is boring but he makes it interesting by telling jokes. He also uses great analogies! His tests are HARD! Study guides are too broad. He offers two different grading scales which is a good thing. Do not take him if you are not a fast paced learner.

Currently taking Professor Graves for Biol 1611 half semester& just finished the lab section, and have the final exam for Lecture on Thursday. I thoroughly enjoyed this class for an anatomy course! Professor is full of energy& uses very helpful funny analogies! I received an A in lab and probably will in lecture too. COME TO CLASS& do extra credit!

I love this teacher! The information is kinda boring, but he makes it fun with all the analogies, jokes and pictures he uses with it. I hated the coloring book, but the online assignments are a great help for studying for the test and they're extra credit! If you're taking a half semester, take him!

Love Love Love Prof. Graves. This is my second time taking Bio 1611 and this time thanks to Prof. Graves I understood everything. I am a visual learner and that is the type of class that Prof. Graves teaches and he makes sure you will understand. And he also offers extra credit. Will be taking 1612 with him as well.

Great teacher. Will help you learn the material, even if you don't want to. Gives PLENTY of opportunities to get a good grade, if you don't do well in this class, it's your own fault. Presents material in a fun and interesting manner, definitely would suggest him if you're considering A&P at GPC.

Only two tests, midterm and final but gives extra credit for both. NO HOMEWORK! Entertaining in class, good public speaker, will help you if you ask for it. Overall a good professor, you can get an A if you put it in the effort. Would take again.

Professor Graves does a great job in lab. He is very clear cut with expectations. Very thorough and he makes sure that everyone is on the same page. Quizzes at the beggining of each class, but other than that there really isn't any homework.

This class was hard, but not unreasonable. His tests are 25 multiple choice which contain clinical scenarios and select all that apply questions and an essay portion. Gives EC for each test & a term paper that can add 2 points on final grade. Go to class: easy participation points & gives hints for test. He's a nice guy, funny & helpful in office.

I would highly recommend taking him for both lab and lecture as his style is pretty specific and the two courses are so intertwined. He definitely makes you work for your grade, but then again the subject matter is pretty dense. He definitely knows the material in and out and has a great sense of humor which keeps you entertained and informed!

Professor Graves is really fun and helpful. He is willing to help you any time you need. He also gives extra credit and provide feedback, but he doesn't really like late work turn in but he still accepts it. Professor Graves gave a variety of assignments over the same content to meet your learning style (multiple opportunities to get a perfect score). A lot of extra credit available to help boost your grade. Do the work, ask for help if needed, read experiments in lab workbook and on line power points before class and you will do great.

I just finished the summer semester for Micro lab. As long as you do the work you will get a good grade. In the beginning it may seem like a lot, but he gives you so many chances to get an A on your assignments. I really, really enjoyed this class and I wish I would have take him for previous courses. You will be learning and laughing.

I took this class in the summer very fast paced but manageable! Do the work and come to class! You miss alot of the concepts if you dont show up to class. btw he is hilarious and makes the 2 hours less painful

Professor Graves is awesome! I just finished his fall first half class and finished top of the class. He gives so many ways to make a higher grade do the extra credit and do good on the midterm and final (only two tests in lab) and you will get an A or B. He wants you to succeed he is always there to meet with you and responds to emails fast!

This is a very hard class. You have 7 exams, that means 1 exam each week. It is online, but his test and the I college extra credit questions are ridiculous. Thank God for the extra credit. That is what really saved me. Great professor. He really knows how to lecture and is there for you. I used the studies guides to study for the exams & final.

Best professor EVER! This class is so interesting and Professor Graves actually makes you want to learn. It is actually hard not to get an A, since he does such a good job at making sure stuff sticks in your head. Everything is online besides the midterm and final. No tricks, very easy tests, just study the study guides. Wish he taught more classes

The class is designed so that you get out of it what you put into it. He makes so many resources available for studying and success that the only way you will do bad in this class is if there is low effort on your part. He is very thorough with everything.

This professor is freaking amazing! He is so funny and his jokes though sometimes corny help related thing to the material. As long as you go over the power point which turns the hard stuff you are reading in the text book into elementary you are good. In addition for the ladies and some of the guys he is super cute. I took his Anatomy and Physiology class online during the summer. He is really good on responding back to emails. He gives extra credit after every exam, before an exam, as well if you a family tree which is super easy! His videos are very vague sometimes, so textbook is recommended if you really want to learn.

There are teachers who make it their job to show students how "tough" they are, Professor Graves just wants to help you learn and will assist you to do great in class!

Professor Graves was GREAAAAT! I was so nervous about taking this class in the summer, & when I seen how much we had to do on the 1st day, I was ready to change my mind! But as you get to know how it works, it becomes easier than it looks. Studying is needed! And he offers extra credit (MAKE SURE YOU DO IT!!). He's hilarious and is willing to help!

There was a lot of work for this class, but it was all relevant and helped me learn the material. A&P is a dense subject but Mark really does everything he can to give students the tools to succeed - you just have to be willing to do your part. He is a dynamic teacher who makes the lectures interesting.

Best professor ever!

Taking a mini-semester of this class made me feel anxious but I am grateful to have had it with professor Graves. He made a clear understanding of what is needed to become successful in class. He REALLY makes you work for it but he is there through it all to help you succeed by extra credit, answering any questions you have during and after class.

Professor Graves is a great teacher. He made it fun and memorable. I took a mini-mester class and it was FAST and ALOT! But he made sure he told us what we needed to know. He challenged us and made sure we understood before we moved on. Great teacher man.

I believe this is now considered Bio 2100 L under GSU. Took as a half semester. Super intensive and covers a LOT of material. You WILL have to study and best to be in EVERY class. Various opportunities for extra credit, biggest tip I can give is LISTEN and know those models used during class!!

Incredible professor. He only teaches half semester on campus. The material itself is not difficult however the speed of the class requires you to be quick on your feet . He can be easily reached and he also gives extra credit opportunities. Taking him again for A&P II

Prof. Graves is great! is ready to help when you need. gives a lot of extra credit. read the book and make good notes to pass online exams (they are hard). I took both, lecture and lab. got A in lab and B in lecture(( too much information for half term class. do all work+extra credit stuff +study his study guide for the final and you will get an A.

Mr Graves is one of the best teachers i have had he is very funny and the way he teaches is malted in your brain. Very well explanation and gives a lot of extra credits he' fun in the class. I took him online its a lot of work but I like how he he set up he's teaching. Only thing i had a hard time was testing and the timing. Great guy take him

Dr. Graves is a very wonderful professor, he explains everything and tries to make sure everyone gets the subject. He takes pride in grading everything as fast as possible. He is reasonable and will work with you if you miss assignments. Seriously, you have to be completely clueless to not pass his class with at least a B!

This guy is the real deal when it comes to all things AnP. Gives you plenty of extra credit assignments to keep your grade average up. He grades fair and always responds back to emails fast as Lightning!!!!! He also offers to different grading options. One is heavy on mastering and the other is Icollege outlines. BEST PROFFESSOR iVE EVER HAD!

If you really want to learn take Dr. Mark Graves! He is the best. He gives amazing lectures, very helpful notes, he is always cheerful in class. Our class vibe was very happy, fulfilling, we learned a lot from him. He is very patient and very helpful. He is everything you want and need in a teacher. Plus he is very good-looking too. Take him. He is awesome. The materials are hard, but if you study you should be fine. I don not recommend taking this class with other challenging classes. You need to put lots of hard work and time into this class if you want to get an A. His tests are online. Online tests are really hard, and don't bother looking through the internet for answers!

Hardest class I have ever taken in GSU/GPC. I had a hard time in this class mostly because I had 3 other classes. Do not take other classes if you are taking this class.

Best professor at GSU-Perimeter. Lab was fun, he makes it interesting with his sense of humor. He really knows his stuff when it comes to A&P and will go the extra mile to make sure you do too even if you have to ask a few times. Makes himself available for questions in class,open lab, by email. Super fast communication.

Fav. Professor! Great lectures, analogies and energy. He is very approachable. Lots of PowerPoint lectures with access to review material if you miss class. It's NOT mandatory to attend lecture but the lab requires some participation for grade. I hope I can take AP#2 with him again!

Incredible teacher! Really explains things well and encourages success. Tests are hard but there is only a midterm and final in summer lab. He takes time to explain things and doesn't make you do unnecessary work. He makes you learn the important concepts and Doesn't weigh you down with details. Print the lecture slides and follow along. He is the best professor for human anatomy, his lecture is clear, and he gives extra credit for each exam.

I came into this class not knowing anything about Mr. Graves; now after finishing both his BIOL2110+2120 class I know more things about him than I should. All jokes aside, he is a great lecturer &amp; he has a straight forward but comprehensible way of teaching things. He ties in real world situations &amp; stories to make it easier to remember concepts.

Any professor that dresses like Dr. Who and sounds like Inspector Gadget is a-ok in my book. Professor Graves gives a ton of extra credit and is always available for help if you need it. Easy class if you put in the effort. )

He is a great professor but his test are difficult however, you have plenty of material that will be given to you. You have to apply and use that material to pass his class. Nothing is given; it is earned by reading, communicating with his and doing every bit of extra credit that he has. You can text, email and even call him if you have questions.

The best biology professor at GSU he will look over any work for corrections before he accept it for a grade. His test are tricky but if you know the material you will pass. He lets you use open bok and notes on exams. I am taking him for Micro lab and I am sure I will get an A as well. Hands down best professor ever

I took him for A&amp;P 1and 2(lecture and lab). Unfortunately, he is not teaching micro lecture but he is teaching the lab. I'm taking the micro lab with him. he is a good person and I'm always happy to see him. I would recommend him to other students.

One of the best professors at GPC. Took him for both ANP 1&amp;2 and Micro lab. I'll be holding my future professors up to his standard and have a strong feeling that I'm going to be let down. He funny, seems to be very passionate about his job, cares for his students and that makes me respect him a lot. Highly recommend him!

Took A&amp;P 2 over the summer. It was a lot of work, but honestly what would you expect from A&amp;P? Dr. Graves is very accessible for any questions, super fast responses to emails. This was rough, loads of material and fast, his quizzes were not easy. All I can say is stick with it! Do all the work, reach out to him when needed, he will help you!

Mr. Graves will go above and beyond to help you do well in his class. His lectures are helpful and usually pretty funny. You can tell that he loves to teach and he wants to do a good job of helping you grasp the material. It doesn't hurt that he's super cute too.

I took both AP1 and AP2 minimesters with Professor Graves and he is a phenomenal teacher. Provides plenty of material and instruction. He made what I thought would be a gpa ruining course into an A. Just go to class, and do the work(which he will make very clear). Great professor and would highly recommend him.

Yall, Graves is AH-Mazing. Very understanding, accessible, and REALLY knows his stuff. Hes a real character and that makes things a lot less boring. Ill say this, dont take this class if youre lazy. Hes got a lot of assignments. However, theyre graded off completion not accuracy. Exams are though but the work will get you a well-earned A!

Hes cool. Just make sure your paying attention is lecture the lab would be easy. There a group project!!! Everybody will it do their part YES its your responsibility to do their part. The initial grade he tell you will be will not be your grade ex 80 to 66. He will not be grading it individually. fail final Your grade drop 10 points.

Professor Graves had a lot of assignments (chapter outline, keeping it real case study, chapter homework in mastering biology), and recorded lectures over the powerpoints to listen. Wording on the test was a bit tricky to me but did cover everything we learned that weekoverall, a fantastic science professor.

By far one of the BEST professors on campus! Very helpful. Professor Graves is very reasonable and shows compassion. His labs are FUN and informational. I will be taking him for all courses in the future. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Mr. graves is a nice teacher! Most of his quizzes and classwork is well organized and straight forward. I found answers to almost everything online and when I didn't know I could text him and he responds back fast! Never had a problem retaking a quiz or turning in something late. He is a good pick!

I hated that we had case studies which were like opinionated papers to write. Had I done them, Id probably have gotten a B in the class. Professor Graves is an awesome teacher though! He goes over the work in detail and keeps you updated. However, the way the questions were worded on the quizzes really stumped me most times.

I had him over the summer for lab, and am glad I took him. He was a really good teacher who cared about the students. He was always there to help during lab if you had a question. There were a lot of worksheets that were given, but he gave a completion grade. The quizzes were a little tricky, but you could use your notes. He is a fair teacher.

Professor Graves is hands down the best teacher I've ever had, especially at GSU. He truly gives you every tool and more for success. Very lenient with due dates, always offers an extra credit project and second chances on quizzes (though they will be harder). Can't say enough good things about this Professor, I wish he taught every class!

I've taken Professor Graves for both anatomy and physiology 2 lab and micro lab. He makes it really easy to succeed in his class, giving many extra credit opportunities and many study sessions on the weekend. All projects and assignment were not due until the end of the semester. Don't be fooled by the grace period. He was awesome, well knowledgeable in delivering the information.

AP II Lab - You get the grade your earn. Do the work and you will get an A! He used a text but you don't have to get it. Everything is due on the last day of the semester but don't procrastinate. He makes the content very interesting. Wish I had him for lecture!

ngl you quite literally have to be beyond stupid to fail this class or to get anything less than an A. there are so many opportunities for extra credit this is the coolest professor i've ever had in my life... the only downside is it was a late class but that was easiest A ive ever gotten in college, ESPECIALLY A&P II. just do the work and show up.

I honestly don't know how some of his peers got higher scoring when his class was probably the best and easiest I've had. He didn't suck the life out of me and made anatomy very fun with his witty personality. His class esp accommodated well to my neurodivergence. I'm going to miss his lab.
