Prof. Harmon is probably one of the most helpful professors I've had so far. The course is centered around the textbook, so be sure to do the readings; try not to fall behind. The quizzes are easy and the Etudes questions reinforce the material. Great guy, helpful teacher, very knowledgeable and reasonable. Cares about his students.

Professor Harmon is by far my favorite professor at Foothill yet. He's helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly, which is great. As long as you complete your assignments and show up to class, you'll pass easily. Professor Harmon isn't an extremely tough grader, and he's understanding if sometimes you can't show up to class because of some issues.

Business Law 1. Professor Harmon is a great teacher. He gives real life examples, explains things in detail, and is passionate about the subject. He is a practical guy who understands we all have lives out side of school. He doesn't play hide the ball with his quiz's, or tests. All & all a great guys, a great teacher, and would highly recommend him

I took Business 18 with professor Harmon and I love his lectures. He makes the class fun and easy to understand. He knows what he is talking about. Super respectful and approachable. He actually read your papers and gives you feed back. I will definitely take him for Poli 1 and other business classes he teaches.

I've taken Harmons bus law 1 and now his pols 1. Loved both classes. Take notes, turn in the weekly homework, do the papers, and decent on tests you'll get a good grade. He keeps lectures interesting. Homework is due once a week, just one online assignment. Couple short papers, open topic, 2 pages, and two or three tests and a final. Great teach!

one of my favorite teachers. he really involves students in the lectures so its not a bore. political science is a tough subject but he makes it really interesting with a great sense of humor. he has clear expectations: weekly homework, 2 quizzes, 2 papers, 1 final. just come to class consistently and it will help u understand all material and pass

Harman is awesome. Made the material covered very engaging. Every class period was a fun discussion lead by his lectures which he's really good at. I would love to take as many classes with Harmon as I can. Highly recommended.

I highly dislike politics, but Harmon makes the subject a little bit more interesting. His test aren't super hard,but you still need to pay attention and take good notes. Homework are easy weekly responds. If you're the type of person that dislikes politics but have to take it, I recommend Harmon. Also, I HIGHLY recommend getting the book.

Doctor Doctor Professor Mark Harmon is a great instructor and person. If you are serious about your education, his class is necessarily easy but it will sure feel like it. Professor Harmon makes the material easy to understand. I walked into the class knowing complete zilch about business law and left considering becoming a lawyer.

He is one of the best of all I ever had at Foothill during my three years of studies. I have never taken political science before, and he made my very first experience amazing!!!!! I would totally take another class with him because seriously he is very helpful specially with international students.

You need to keep up with the etudes homework and the papers. There are two quizes that can be hard if you dont pay attention to the lectures. The final is worth 30 % of your grade. The final was also tough but if you show up to class and do homework, you will get a B for sure.

Mark Harmon is fantastic! He makes topics very interesting by relating them to hilarious analogies or stories. Its comprehensible AND interesting. Crazy. The class is 100 points in total. Keep up on work and don't slack on etudes work because it'll hurt you in the end. Just pay attention in class, and be prepared for the quizzes (2).

Mark Harmon is to be honest one of the best teachers i have had, i love political science and he made it even more fun for me, the class was not hard for me, however i do pay a lot of attention to the news and politics as a whole. But it was really fun for me. I am going to take more classes from him 10/10 would recommend to anyone.

His Business law class is interesting because he focusses on the real time law cases in and outside of the textbook and that makes learning a lot easier and simpler. Herr Doktor Harmon is by far one of the best politics teacher I have ever had. He doesn't push his political views and actually give relevant examples related to what he lectures. If your willing to put in the work and participation it pays off. If you have the chance to take any of his classes do so!

I took this class over a year ago and Mark remains one of my favorite professors I've taken at FH! I wish he taught more POLI courses so I could take them. The questions on the quizzes and final usually come from the reading and his lectures, which are straightforward and entertaining. He also gives constructive feedback on your papers/quiz grades.

Professor Harmon is great. He allows you to miss two classes but after he will dock you increasing amounts of points. His homeworks were based off of the modules online and usually took about 30 minutes. He has two essays with the same prompt and his quizzes are easy as long as you pay attention in class. Also has a great sense of humor

AMAZING professor. He knows what he's teaching and gives great lectures. As long as you take notes and pay attention (meaning show up!), you should be fine. If you don't study well, you won't pass his tests. He's also very funny and makes the material fun. Real-world applications.

Prof. Harmon is an amazing teacher! Just make sure you attend almost every class, because youll need your notes for the quizzes and exams. I barely read my book, but attended class and my notes was enough to pass the class! Hell give you 2 missed class excused and after that hell start deducting 5% of your grade. Very funny! Highly recommended!

He is the best Prof at FH. I straight recommend taking his class. His class has two quizzes (all multiple-choice question) and two paper 10% for each. One Final 30%. HW 2% each.

Dr. Harmon is a truly amazing teacher. He is amusing, informative and he is an expert in his field. He is also very supportive and cares about his students. He was rather strict with deadlines and attendance. He focused a lot on law cases but he took his time to explain them. His grading was fair and he only asked what we covered in class on quizes

Amazing and caring professor. Assignments are reasonable and lectures are engaging. If you put in an honest effort to answer his worksheets, you will get full credit. Even when some of my answers were flawed, he would give me full credit in addition to thoughtful commentary on my submission. If you want to do well, you will do well.

Prof. Harmon is great! I took his online class, and his lecture notes are awesome! His class was very well organized. You have to read his lecture notes, which is so well written, easy to comprehend with a touch of humor. He provides feedback on all homework submissions and fairly quickly too. I really enjoyed his class!

Great professor, very caring and will put in more effort than replying to your homework assignments than most! It's incredible. It really gives you motivation to do the best you can through the whole class. Tip: take notes of lectures and put them into a google doc, because his tests and quizzes are VERY hard to me. He makes you think.

Professor Harmon was extremely helpful with the feedback that he provided us with and I genuinely liked his instruction. He is strict on deadlines and due dates, so be mindful of that. Also, homework is due before noon as well instead of 11:59pm. Quizzes were somewhat hard, but there was only two of them this quarter. Take this class!

Really easy class and despite the class being online, he tries to get to know you. He offers some good advice and responses. There is not much work to be graded on, but the homework is easy, and the tests are based on the notes. Would take it again!

I love prof Harmon. He's easy to reach and has clear grading criteria. Even when my answers to the homework were complete nonsense, he took the time to give me great feedback. There are two quizzes and a final, all application-based, so make sure to read through his lecture notes EXTENSIVELY. He's a great professor, I definitely recommend him.

My absolute favorite professor in Foothill. He is the sweetest professor ever and I genuinely look forward to his class. His lectures are so well put together and it sticks with you. He brings humor and laughter into the classroom and is very kind towards students. He is very strict about attendance, though. TAKE HIS CLASS YOU WON'T REGRET IT.

Took 6-week online session - it was very manageable. Prof has great lecture notes that are funny. Complete lecture worksheets and homework reading worksheets. He gives great feedback and the grading is clear. Quizzes were somewhat-challenging, very do-able if you take good notes. Final was easier than quizzes IMO. He is passionate abt the material.

Honestly such a great professor and puts a lot of work into the materials. The lectures are long but so they help so much answering the worksheets. 3 assignments a week but VERY manageable. Quizzes are hard but are open notes so take good notes! No extra credit but just do the worksheets/HW & you'll be fine. I recommend taking him!

Professor Harmon does not go light on the lecturing, but God he's entertaining. Reading through his lectures was actually a nice break between my other classes, and he's made me reconsider the direction I want to take my business degree/career. Seriously, be prepared to read. Professor Harmon is one of the best professors I took at Foothill College! He has a sense of humor and makes the class so interesting! He also gave you extra help on your homework assignment. This class was very straightforward with weekly lectures and homework question assignments. The lectures were very engaging! There are only two quizzes, but they were timed and challenging in my opinion. The final exam was cumulative, but plenty of time was given to take it.

Awesome teacher, awesome assignments, very clear and easy to understand. The assignments are graded based on completion and the quizzes, midterm, and final are all multiple choice. He leaves feedback on all of your assignments which is also awesome, and he responds to all question the same day.

He also leaves replies to all assignments that you turn in, and is a very caring teacher. In regard to assignments, they are graded based on completion and in the total workload was about 5-6 hours a week for me to complete everything. Finals, quizzes, and midterms are all multiple choice as well. One of the easiest As and most interesting classes

BUSI 18/Law is not "an easy A." Class is very challenging, but Prof. Harmon is there for you. He grades and responds to messages quickly and left amazing feedback on all assignments. He helped me so much when I was struggling and gave me amazing advice. Don't fear it, just take it with him if you can.

I remember finishing an assignment at 8 pm and Harmon gave me detailed feedback a few hours later at 11 pm, just so I can prepare for the final exam the day after. He really cares about his students and it shows, I do think everyone is capable of getting at least a B or higher if you put in the bare minimum. Enjoy your time in his class!

There is a lot of busy work though, so dedicate 2-3 hours per week to do his homework. Super clear instructions for all the coursework, which was super convenient. Take him!

This was my favorite class I took at foothill, the material was very interesting, and that I'm confident will benefit me at some point in my career, the professor provided very detailed feedback on most assignments, usually within an hour or so of turning it in. I met with him during Office Hours and found him to be very nice.

One of my favorite professors. Not a tough grader AT ALL. As long as you do the work from the lecture notes he will give you full credit. Quizzes are very fast-paced but are open notes so if you know where everything is and the material from the lecture you should be fine! He is funny in his lectures and makes business law a fun and easy class!

He really cares & somehow makes an asynchronous class personal. He assigns 3 hws a week that take between 1-2 hrs each based on lectures & readings. If you make a good effort on them, he will give you full credit. He will give you detailed feedback! He has a wonderful sense of humor that makes both his lectures and feedback so enjoyable.

Really well organized course overall, provides an opportunity to gain a strong foundation in investments. The textbook is really well written, and Prof. Harmon's lecture notes are a very useful supplement, highlighting the key parts. Deliverables include two weekly worksheets and three cumulative exams. Exams were open notes. Highly recommended!

Great professor! He truly cares about making the material digestible when it is a heavy loaded topic. He also adds in his humor to each lecture which helps lighten the mood. Plus his feed back is so helpful!!! If you really need an organized prof he has great organized online class, it would put many of my other prof to shame.

Requirements in Class (For Summer 2024, course speed varies for regular quarters) - Easy Homework due everyday from his lecture readings - 2 Quizzes - 1 Final Exam Easy A but you need to really STUDY. I will rate difficulty 1 out of 5. If you don't read, ofc you do not know sht.

Easy class the quizzes are one try (async) and there is a final. No extra credit opportunities and doesn't accept late work. Aside from that it is an easy class he genuinely seems to care about teaching and quick grader. The homework's are super easy as well 5-12 questions per assignment all answers are found on the lectures super easy to follow.

Professor Harmon is great. His lectures are clear, at times hilarious, and incredibly well-structured. Weekly work sheets are easy if you read his lectures. He's also a very swiftr grader and provides remarkably thorough feedback. Don't miss deadlines and you'll have a great time. One of the most entertaining classes I've taken. Highly recommended.

On the first day he said that this class wouldn't be your typical "easy a". He was right. every week was 3 long worksheets with lectures around 11-15 pages of reading. However, the outcome benefits the work as I learned so much useful and cool info that I will remember forever. His lectures were so funny and inspiring. engage with the work too!

Professor Harmon's BUSI 18 is one of the best classes I've ever taken. The directions are always clear and provided on time. The professor's original lecture notes are so interesting that I looked forward to reading them every week. He truly cares about his students, and I am so glad I took his class!

Very engaging lectures, and quick to give thorough feedback on assignments. One of my favorite professors, and I wish I could take another class of his. Assignments can be pretty difficult if you don't read the textbook or the lectures, but very easy if you do.

Prof. Harmon is firm but fair. He posts detailed bi-weekly lecture notes that cover everything you need, then grades quickly with constructive feedback that actually improves your writing and case analysis. Expect strict deadlines. Do the readings, brief your cases, and you'll crush this class. One of my favorite instructors so far.

For the first several weeks, there were assignments composed of multiple short answers after reading textbook per week. Last several weeks were focused on making a summary, outline and writing analysis paper. Deadlines of homework are strict. Professor Harmon really reads answers and made informative comments. Professor Harmon is hilarious, caring, and gives lots of positive feedback! He's super clear about expectations, which makes the class easy to follow. Lectures are content-heavy and you'll have 3 assignments a week, but I 100% recommend his online Business Law course. He is one of the best professors I've had!

This teacher is a tough grader, and you will not be able to receive partial credit. It's all or nothing with him. The 2 quizzes and final exam are worth more than everything you did in that class. His lectures required tons of readings. I would recommend studying and try your best with the professor. Everything is online, no in person!

His grading is all or nothing (all assignments are 1-2 points). Encourages SELECT/MINIMAL Ai usage. Overall, if he sees you trying in your work and test decent, it's almost impossible to do bad in his course. Very caring and gives great, detailed feedback.

I took this class online, and it's pretty straightforward. There's lots of reading, and you do have to buy an ebook. However, Prof. Harmon highlights exactly what you need to focus on in his lecture notes; he also gives you helpful feedback on your homework, and overall he cares about his students.
