Professor Holley was animated and fun with his lectures, yet he was very educated and professional. Goal was to help you understand the cultures, concepts, in a concise and unbiased way. Seemed to genuinely care about whether or not you "got" it. Recorded lectures so you could revisit them later on Moodle. Favorite professor.
intelligent prof of subject matter and lectures well but can be rude,I don't care for his attitude towards students makes them look stupid and as though his ideas are only what matters
I had him for online cultural anthropology and I loved it. His lecture videos were clear and entertaining. As long as you read the required reading you will do fine, you can retake quizzes as many times as you want and he gives you the highest grade but you do have to take proctored tests. He was a very nice guy and I liked him and his class a lot!
The material was super interesting but I took this class online and there was zero interraction between the students and the prof. His grades are based entirely on exams and not the work you put into the rest of the class. If you don't test well, there is no way to pass this class with a grade that won't bring your GPA way down!
Are professors supposed to ask question after question to the students, respond with "No (wrong answer)" or "Yes! (Repeat the exact words of the student who in some cases isn't even correct). We learn nothing of his "experienced" bckgrounding, but only definitons from the text.He talks slowly and has a loud voice that can be irrelevant to"Lecture"
Awesome teacher who will go above and beyond to help his students. Classes challenge students to think critically about assignments.
Clear and concise lessons, enjoyable class room interaction. Online lectures a little lengthy but found to be very necessary. Weekly quizzes were great prep for the final exam.
Good teacher for the most part. Online class was pretty clear and concise but was slightly difficult. Posted all of the material online including taped lectures which was helpful.
Online class. Deeply enjoyed the professor & class material! I would recommend this professor to anyone looking to take ANT 113 as a requirement/elective. Easy homework. Quizzes are multiple attempt with highest grade accepted. Exams are all multiple choice. All exam questions covered in recorded lecture/quizzes. Professor wants everyone to 4.0!
Dr. Holley was one of my favorite professors I've ever had- he was super helpful, witty, and obviously has a passion for what he does, which made the class extremely fun. I would recommend him highly!!
I really enjoyed this course, it was interesting and I never had to force myself to get through the content. The book 1491 was kind of a bore and the exams were tough but if you study hard for them you're fine. Class was easy, but not too easy.
Organized
Probably one of the most organized online professors I have had. Easy to understand, materials and directions are clearly outlined.
I thought he was a very helpful professor. He was very clear when he was explaining things. I like the extra videos. They were long.
he was a good professor. explained things clearly.
I enjoyed the class very much, but it is much harder online. Dr. Holley did a nice job setting it up, he was prompt when answering his emails, and was always will to help. Thanks for everything
Sometimes it was easy to overlook a section of reading as the first of the two sections did not have an indicator saying we need to have it done by Friday. The first section can easily be mistaken as a previous section.
He is very organized and clear with instructions and assignments. He makes sure that he is available to his students and is quick to reply to them and is flexible to meet their needs. For being an online class with lack of class participation, he made sure that his students had enough resources and kept the assignments clear and concise.
It's good.
Definitely hard to fail this class. The student is given loads of opportunity to do well, plus the material covered is interesting.
Easy quizzes, tougher exams. Extra credit totally helps. I'd recommend taking this class!
Dr. Holley is a fun teacher and knows what he is talking about. Classes are normally filled with students who 'know' what they are talking about and he handles them better than some other profs.
Well organized. He clarifies his expectations. You can retake quizzes, not exams, for a higher grade. Also, his Underwater Archaeology at NMC rock.
very helpful
I loved this class. The grading was a little confusing for me, because I didn't have the best grade, and was in the middle of the class rank wise. And I find it hard to believe there are people ranked lower than meyou get as many chances as it takes to get 100% on the quizzes, and the short essay questions aren't that hard. Do well on Exams!!!!
Clarity for this class was awful! I took this class as a hybrid class; and attendance for the actual class was not mandatory, but if you missed the classroom lecture, he would give you a zero for attendance.
Dr. Holley was available to answer all my questions. He is a instructor who is fair and passionate about his work and dedicated to teaching.
Professor Holly was an incredible teacher. Although I took his online class, he posted lectures from previous classes which were a great tool and aided me in receiving A's on all three of my exams. His passion for this field of study is contagious and encouraging.
I loved this class! You learn a lot from listening to the lectures and they are actually really interesting!!! Professor Holley really knows his stuff and is eager to teach it to you! I would love to take this class again!
I took Cultural Anthropology as an online class. Dr. Holley was a great instructor and was always clear about exactly what material would be covered in assignments and tests. His passion and interest in the field shows in his teaching and it made me feel interested, too. This class was a fun challenge, and I learned a lot.
I did like this class, it was an easy one to be able to add on top of others. Warning: if you are going for a lot of involvement with your classmates, this is not the class for you. Advice: If you watch lectures, take notes, and take the quizes , you will easily pass this class Good luck and enjoy, this class has a lot of interesting content
Had a overall good experience taking this class! The class was very easy and clear to follow. The lectures helped me a lot for this class.
Great professor. Really knows what he's talking about and you can tell he enjoys it! Only took him in an online class but seems like a nice guy, helpful, answers questions quickly. Listens to what the class is saying (if you don't like something he will take you opinion into consideration on how to help or change it)
He has lots of experience. The exams are super long and 60% of the grade. There are 3 exams total. Way too much to cover for just 3 exams.
Great teacher.
There are only 3 exams, they must be proctored (no notes) and they are 60% of your final grade, so you must test really well in order to do well in this class. Dr. Holley is really passionate about his work and it shines through during his lectures.
Only had to contact the professor once. Didn't email me back.
I took ANT113 in the fall semester of 2014 and I believe that after that class he was only teaching anthropology through online. I know the online class does the same material. My advice would be to really do the reading (more textbook then 1492). You have three exams (60% of final grade). Just make sure to focus your attention on vocabulary.
Great Class!!!
I took this class online, summer course. 7 weeks, three proctored exams. Tests were not hard, just a lot of terminology to memorize. They make up 60% of grade. Online quizzes could be taken as many times as needed, so at least 40 % of the course should be 100%. He provides extra credit opportunities as well. His lecture videos are really helpful.
This class was very well organized and easy to follow. i liked most everything about this class, and am more interested in anthropology than I had ever expected to be. After emailing Dr. Holley regarding some of my concerns about low grades, and feedback, he responded promptly, and I appreciate that. Great class. Great instructor.
Took this course over the summer. The professor is passionate about the course and knows what he is teaching. His expectations are clear. If you do exactly what he says you will pass. Best online class I have taken.
GREAT TEACHER! Would do anything for his students. Really cares that you pass!
This class will be tough if you make it tough. DO NOT just expect to get an A you need to do the work and watch the lectures and read the books! Do not put off until right before the exam or you will really regret it. The lectures help so much and he really knows what he is talking about it and is very truthful! Great Prof. :)
Great instructor, if you like Anthropology, you'll like the class.
All around a great professor. He is clear when it comes to lectures and what will be on the exams. He is not as clear when answering a question you may have. If you do the work he assigns and don't skip class then it is a fairly easy to get an A. The tests are not very hard in my opinion. They are more about the major ideas then the minute details.
COOL CLASS
I took his online Cultural Anthropology class. He was very organized and made sure all students knew what to do. Everything is laid out in order of what to do, and it was never hard to complete. This class took me on average 2-3 hours to complete the whole weeks worth of material. Also, if there are any questions he would be happy to help.
This Professor is AWESOME. His Cultural Anthropology course online was very well structured. Dr. Holley, is very prompt to reply to emails, and questions. Very supportive. This curse was eye opening.
Enjoyed the class a lot, grateful that it is online, enjoyed having the in class lectures to listen to.
Professor Holley was one of the best teachers I have had at NMC. This class was very interesting and I learned a lot more than I thought I would. He opened my eyes to what cultural anthropology really is. If you do the work, you will pass the class. The lecture videos are the most helpful to getting a good grade on the test! Overall, great teacher!
As far as online classes go, it's great. Very clear, concise directions and expectations. Good communication from the professor to remind those who needed it of deadlines and he really chooses great outside material to enhance what the book shows.
online class. never answers emails. very impersonal.
Very nice professor.
For people who are thinking about taking Cultural Anthropology online. He is a great instructor and the homework is very clearly organized. If you are bad at taking tests, good luck because they are worth more than half of your grade.
Well educated, caring and organized professor.
He was very clear on what was expected and made sure we knew what to study for exams. Lectures were informative and interesting.
Dr. Holley is a fantastic professor. He uses a variety of teaching methods so the material sticks. Lessons are not overly difficult, and he gives plenty of opportunity for extra credit. He is personable, accessible, and cares about not only how you do in his class, but making sure you are aware of opportunities suited to you. Would take again.
Professor can be hard to reach at times, but is clear and concise on what he requires. The only reason I won't take him again is this is the last class I need for my degree.
Exams count for most of the final grade, even though the bulk of the course is quizzes, assignments, etc.
I know way too much about crannogs now. Mark is one of the more interesting people you'll meet in life. He's incredibly eccentric and thinks and acts fast. But he makes a usually mild subject into an exciting one.
This class was very easy and the Professor is very reachable even though it is online, so if you need help don't be afraid to ask. The class is entirely test based so if you aren't looking for that beware.
must take proctored exams at nmc testing center
Very knowledgeable professor, providing additional resources for students interested in learning more. Course material was all relevant. While exams account for large majority of your grade, he is very explicit about what content will be on them. Bottom line, if you put in the work as he instructs you will easily get an A.
I enjoyed the material and the instructor. Amazing class!
Pretty straight forward class so far - very clear on what's expected for weekly quizzes and questions/discussion, easy to get ahead in the online course! Love the lectures he posts and all of the available resources that are on the forum.
He is a really wonderful professor. I would highly recommend this course.
I really enjoyed the course overall and would take another class with Dr. Holley if I had the opportunity.
Good fair professor, sets out his expectations in a clear manner, doesnt change his mind, stays on point and keeps his word/focus. I would take another of his classes, if I needed to.
I took this online during the summer to get more credits finished (I go to another University). This class was very fair and the material was actually interesting! Would recommend taking it.
I took the online class, but from his lectures and email correspondence professor Holley was great. Lots of reading especially initially, but not much writing. He really cares about what he's teaching.
In the online course, you have to put in a lot of time but the lectures really help and so does the text book choice.
Takes student feedback into consideration. Exams are pretty difficult even when you go over the provided study guide.
I took this class online and it was very easy and you are given lots of chances to get 100% on the quizzes.
I took the Anthropology 113 course online with Mark Holley. While the assignments were not a burden, it is important to engage in the material that is being discussed. The tests are quite difficult, but there are only three of them total. Mr. Holley allows the students to give feedback throughout the course and is available to speak, if needed.
I really enjoyed this class! The content and the teaching style was great. The weekly assignments online were not too difficult and the exams were similar to the weekly quizzes. There are multiple extra credit opportunities. As long as you keep up with the assignments, you'll do great!
The videos where heavy enjoyed his lecture videos. Nice online class and intro Wish i had noticed the extra credit project sooner
The best online teacher I have had yet.
Outlined exactly what needed to be done. Quizzes matched the material in the book.
Great course, I learned a lot. Thank you!
Dr. H. was very quick to respond to email questions, as well as consistent to communicate with students on a weekly basis regarding expectations and tests. His recorded lectures were engaging, added depth and were very helpful for understanding course content and learning.
Good Online Class
Prof Holley provides a class with intriguing information, and really does put on a good lecture.
Listens to feedback really well.
I enjoyed this class and this professor. The course materials are varied and the readings and videos are very interesting.
The class is pretty simple but the lectures can be long. Make sure you know what this class is about before you take it or else it might be hard to follow along.
The class was simple and enjoyable
Honestly, this is the best online course I've ever taken with one of the best instructor's I've ever had, even though we've never met face-to-face. After taking this course, it has made me a lot more interested in anthropology and archaeology.
I enjoyed this class because what is expected of you is very clear and specific. The lecture videos are very useful, and I love the way that grades are determined.
Skilled, knowledgeable, straight to the point.
If all online classes were like this, I'd just go to school online. Professor Holley had a very organized webpage, and always answered my questions when I emailed him. His lectures were a little long, but were always interesting and funny. They also just covered the information found in the textbook, so either source could be used. Easy tests.
This is a professor that understands what it is like to be a student. He is tough, but fair. Accessible, but not a pushover. Material was interesting to me, maybe that helped. I thoroughly enjoyed this course and it worked well for me considering I am filling credits for an associates.
Course page is well laid out and easy to understand. Weekly work includes reading, 2 quizzes, and a short response question. Nearly impossible to get a bad grade on the weekly stuff. Lectures/notes were extremely helpful, especially when so much information is given in each weekly chapter reading. I really felt like prof wanted students to succeed
Unclear instructions and strict on exams. For some reason he takes the course content down before each exam so you can't study and then never puts it back up! If I pay for a course I should have access to all the material I've done all the time! He also only gives one day to take an exam for an online class which is unheard of. Take another class!
Class is very straight forward. Easy assignments that don't take up much time.
Dr. Holley is amazing! This class was a lot of reading but it made me learn so much more about Anthropology. You can tell that Dr. Holley is passionate about his career. He brings real life experience into the classroom. I wish all online courses were like this and very organized!
If you do the work you won't have a problem in this class. It's a great class; good content and great lectures.
Very easy to pass if you study
I enjoyed this class. I am curious to learn more about the archaeology that lays at the bottom of Grand Traverse Bay. Cheers to a good year Dr. Holley Thank you
I had this class online, it was really amazing. He records his lectures so you can watch them which was very helpful. There are vocab tests, but he makes it really easy to use Quizlet which made them so easy! I really enjoyed this class
I really enjoyed Mark Holly's class. I felt like I was able to understand and follow the way he went about things easier than most other professors while still being a very challenging course. Would definitely recommend him to other students without hesitation.
He does a great job opening the world of anthropology to you.
It is an easy class that introduces the field of anthropology. Minimal effort is required to pass.
Professor Holley had a few options for extra credit available- Two 2% little projects and then a 5-8 page paper that can be worth up to 10% of the grade. The professor was very open to trying new ways to run the class. 40% of the course is online homework that you can re-take to 100%, 60% of the class is 3 tests.
Best online class I have ever taken! I learned a lot and he wants everyone to succeed and get a 4.0. Lots of extra credit and a bunch of ways to learn. Super organized.
Clear grading criteria, is fair.
If you complete the work, you should not have any issues. Great information in lectures. Professor Holley is really good at responding to emails and is attentive to your questions. I would take this class again.
If you do the reading and the assignments you will pass. He is a great grader, will give good feedback and answer any questions you have. Interesting class full of great content. Highly recommend Dr. Holley and this course!
He is very good, though hard to get a hold of.
Absolutely loved Dr. Holley! He was not only well-informed on the content, I could tell her actually enjoys it and teaching. I enjoyed the extra reading and lectures, and it was all completely straight forward. Appreciative of the safety used in the midst of COVID, too. Great professor and wonderful class! My expectations were met above and beyond.
Loved his class and found the lectures super helpful. I bought a textbook and started out reading from it, but I found the lectures much more helpful than any book. Lectures were great to listen to while at work. If I had space in my last semester at NMC I would 100% take Nautical Archaeology with him.
Good teacher. Not a hard class.
Very clear and easy assignments. He cares very much about feedback. Lectures seemed a little outdated, but it is easy to get a good grade. I can't see any way anyone would have any problems
With online format, very straight forward class and easy to work through. You do have to do alot of reading and quizzes but relatively straight forward. His lectures may be a bit outdated for the online format but they help! No complaints :)
Loved this cpurse
I enjoyed learning about his course content but would have preferred it in an in-person format rather than online. Tests are hard to do well on if you are bad at remembering a lot of content (100 MC questions). Professor Holley seemed to have a good sense of humor in his recorded lectures, would take it at the college next time!
I highly enjoyed this online course. I found his lectures very interesting and Dr. Holley seems like a funny and intelligent person, I wish I could have attended his lectures in person. Very fair teacher that gives you every opportunity to receive a good grade in his course if you put in the effort to succeed.
Unfortunately due to COVID we couldn't have our class in person, but Professor Holley was still very accommodating given the online format. He definitely knew how to play to the advantages online school provides, with his lecture videos being an amazing resource and honestly what saved my grade in the class.
I specifically enjoyed the lectures and found that information very helpful for test taking. I think the subject matter was very interesting, and he is a dynamic speaker
Professor Holley grades very leniently as long as you participate and read the assigned chapters. The tests are very memorization heavy, but it helps you establish your baseline to learn more throughout the semester. I really liked the pre-recorded lectures because it gave an in-class feel to an online class. Very happy I took this course with him.
Mark Holly reminded me of Sheldon Cooper. From his crazy knowledge and humor to his voice(for some reason). The recorded lectures made it feel like an in-person class and were very entertaining and helpful. He provides quizlets, weekly chapters, and extra videos to help you pass the quizzes and exams. What a great class to learn about the world!
The textbook and other readings were interesting and easy to get through. The lectures were very helpful and I enjoyed watching them! Despite this being an online class, the content was in depth and Professor Holley communicated clearly and often.
This was an easy online class to take. Just read the chapters and you can easily get an A. He also provides video lessons if you need that. Quizzes can be taken several times so you can get an A.
One of my easier classes. Mark Holley is much overqualified and I took away so much from his class. Really happy I chose his class. No trick questions and you can retake quizzes if you get at least an 80%. Course was very straight forward.
Professor Holley did an amazing job as a teacher! I truly enjoyed this course, and I think there was the perfect amount of classwork to be completed! He was very kind and caring as well. If I had a question about the course work and emailed him about it, he responded promptly and made sure everything was clear before ending our conversation.
This professor loves this subject and is extremely well versed in it. He has a good separation of each subject by week. Weekly quizzes and lecture videos to watch. They are lengthy lectures but they are filled with helpful info.
I took anthropology 113 online thru NMC and I liked this class because there was very little work. the work for the class opens weekly and I almost always did it that Monday. There are 3 NONCULMATIVE exams which were very very dueable.
Really good online class format and the amount of assignments given per week is very manageable
Class is online and very easy to understand what is required from you the exams are also easy if you watch the lecture videos since he definitely points out what will be on the exam all in all the class is fun and unless you absolutely refuse to put in a little effort you will pass
Dr. Holley was honestly a great professor. He's very intelligent, and quite funny. He's an expert in his field, and genuinely wants to share his knowledge with others. There were 3 non-cumulative exams if taken online, and the workload is pretty manageable. I learned a lot, and I feel pretty inspired leaving this class.
Very smooth class. Professor was clear with expectations and material. Would take again.
The lectures are subpar, very clear on lesson plans/grading rubrics, responds quickly to questions/concerns and replies with high-quality feedback. 11/10 teacher and anthropologist.
I respect Dr. Holley's professional abilities and thought his teaching style to be VERY clear and concise.
Very test centered, tests are tough but fair, coursework was an easy 4.0 if you just do the work and take the quizzes until you know it. I liked the coursework and layout for ANT113 and the reading that we did, the Moodle and assignments were a little confusing sometimes but Moodle is incredibly outdated and needs an overhaul anyway.
Mark Holley was a very informal proffessor and told you directly what would be on the exams, which was muchly appreciated.
Dr. Holley is very highly experienced in his field and brings a lot of knowledge to the subject, even from an online option. I wonder what an in person class experience would be like because I think it would be very rewarding. He is very understanding of student's personal situations and keeping contact with him throughout the class is beneficial.
If you dont take good notes you will struggle on the exams
Very clearly and effectively teaches the topic.
Mister Holley was clear, concise, understanding, and I never felt overwhelmed! He made this class fun for me and it had a strong recommendation from me!
Very easy to communicate with and super flexible if needed! Very straight forward class! Would 100% recommend him!
Didn't care for textbook heavy course load
This professor is very thorough and deeply cares about students, as well as their feedback. His teaching method was highly effective, and I've retained nearly everything I learned--which is coming from someone who has ADD and a full class load. Plus, I was able to maintain my life outside of the class, even switching work to full-time.
Well respected and a wonderful professor.
Exams are what makes or breaks the class so really study for them.
Clearly very passionate and knowledgeable on the subjects he teaches. Very easy-to-listen to lectures and makes sure to mention what will be included on exams. Allows for multiple attempts on quizzes so students can get the best grade possible. Communicates quickly and clearly.
I really enjoyed this class and the professor. If I could take this course over again I would. I'm hope NMC offers more ant. courses taught by this professor because I will sign up and take them. I loved the lectures; you can tell he loves ant. and wants his students to learn. If you have to take any humanities course, I suggest this course/prof.
Dr. Holley is a good speaker and uses humor in his lectures. There is a lot of reading in the textbook and assigned book 1492. Gives clear instructions on exams and assignments.
This was the only online class that I took this semester, but this professor made it very easy on us with very thorough explanations in his lectures and grading methods.
Not a very forgiving instructor. Exams must be taken in person, I don't like how he removes all the study materials from Moodle the night before. Some of us like to continuously study even up to the moment of the test especially when busy with work and home.
If you aren't goof at taking exams, this class could be very hard. The exams are weighted very heavily and you need to know a lot of information for each of them.
Professor Holley set the class up in a very convenient format with a vocab quiz and chapter quiz each week and occasionally forums as well. The beginning of the class is heavier than the end which was actually extremely helpful since many other professors tend to have a heavier work load near the end. The material was very interesting as well!
Professor Holley's class was pretty easy to take and succeed at as long as you do the work and the reading. He gives good feedback and makes the class seem fun. The lecture videos included are helpful as he is very enthusiastic and everything is arranged nicely in them.
This professor is very up front about what he expects from you. The quizzes can be taken multiple times. All exams and quizzes were multiple choice. The format of the class was set up for the success of the students. 100% would take another class with Dr. Holley.
He is a really great professor, if you respect him and check in with him. Before hand if you have a problem with anything. He has extra credit opportunities that I would take if time allows.
Class content was good, and everything was set up so us students would succeed if you put in the effort.
I was sick with covid, I was bed ridden for a whole week. I missed an assignment by 2 days and I emailed him asking if I could turn it in. He never replied to my email and gave me a 0. Other than that, I love his teaching methods and his sense of humor.
Dr. Mark Holley is a great professor. He was able to take more difficult concepts and boil them down to the main points for students to understand. I also really loved how he used real-life examples that students would recognize so the correlation between lectors and examples is very strong.
This was my favorite class and favorite professor I ever had at NMC. The class was enjoyable to take and I never felt like my grade was ever in jeopardy of dropping to below passing. The lectures are a little long but other than that I would recommend this class to anyone thinking of taking it.
Lots of reading in the beginning, then less as you move along. Very interesting content.
The structure was the same week to week. You have unlimited tries on all quizzes, and there are only three exams (not cumulative), once you pass an exam, you don't have to study that material again. There is no final exam. This was not a subject matter that interested me much, but I still managed to 4.0 it, with an average amount of effort.
Each week has the same format, and the format of the class page is easy to navigate. We had three exams throughout the semester. The assignment instructions were easy to understand and easy to accomplish. Dr. Holley provided recorded lectures and chapter outlines for each week. Definitely would take it again.
Dr Holley is a great professor, this is the second course I have taken from him and he tells you at the begining of the semester how the grading will be done and what his expectations are. I would definitely take another class from him.
Dr. Holley is very clearly experienced and invested in anthropology, and it shows in the quality of his teaching! The information that students need to succeed is given in a straightforward format, and tests are designed to help students remember information (no trick questions). This teaching format was honestly a breath of fresh air.
Professor Holley's class is well-structured, with clear instructions and engaging lectures. The textbook is useful, and the exam format helps students focus on key concepts. Unstuck AI and other study tools like ChatGPT made the class manageable.
I don't recommend Mark Holley. He sets students up for failure by removing study information before tests. He encourages students to leave positive feedback here. The final exam had questions about himself and his life which I found pretty egotistical, clearly he thinks highly of himself.
Weekly quizzes that you can retake as many times as you want. Typically just one homework assignment a week but there is a pretty long book that you have to read and a textbook.
I took Mark Holley's class online for Fall 2024 semester, ANT113. It was a bit outdated-I think the lectures were from 2011ish-but I learned a lot. Reading the textbook/watching the lectures will definitely be important for this class, but the homework itself isn't too hard. The three exams we take are pretty easy if you study beforehand.
He is a passionate instructor and that makes taking his class even more fun. It is very reading based but the material is interesting and he often posts lecture videos that are not only insightful but engaging. It is a really easy class to pass if you put in the effort.
I took Prof. Holley's online ANT-113 class for the 2025 spring semester at NMC. The course material is great, gives good feedback where needed, great dive into the basics of anthropology. He also every other week or so asks questions on ways to better improve the course. Highly recommend, would take again.
Dr. Holley is a very knowledgeable and engaging professor. all of the quizzes have unlimited attempts, so you are pretty much guaranteed to get those points. the three exams are closed note, but as long as you do the assignments and watch the lectures they are easy. all of the lectures are very interesting and you can tell he's passionate.
This was a fun class if you like online formats, and I'm sure it is even better in person!
Dr. Holley is very passionate about his field of study. He has a lot of experience and is definitely a good resource for the material he covers.
I really enjoyed Dr. Holley. He was easy to communicate with and very knowledgeable and clear with his guidelines and instructions.
Dr. Holley's class was relatively easy, repetitive, and overall efficient each week, making it an easy A for most; However, while he is very passionate for his class he lacks in making an effort for his students. Don't expect any responses to your emails for about a week, and you cannot turn anything in late EVER or you get the fattest 0 on it.
Overall Dr. Holley's class was pretty easy the only real difficulty for me was the amount of reading each week, but this is helped a lot by his very informative lectures.
