Mark is awesome. His lectures are very informative and interesting. He makes hilarious comments. He is always willing to help anyone about anything. He structures his class about what the students want and takes time to answer any and all questions. I would 100% take his class again. He's also not bad to look at or listen to ;)

Mark was a great teacher and very clear. He is also more than willing to help with other classes as well. Tries to make the tests very easy.

He is a great professor! He cares that you want pass and makes sure to help you out with it all. He makes a study guide before every test and he tells you what questions will be on the test so if you remember those, you will pass the test. Knows what he is talking about and makes it really funny. Look over book during homeworktest, helps a lot!

You definitely have to work for your grade in this class. If you put forth the time and effort to study and prepare, you'll do just fine. He makes biology fun and interesting! He is a great (and cute ;)) professor.

Awesome professor! You have to be in class in order to pass the tests. When it came to tests however, he was not very understanding of letting you take it BEFORE the test date. I would still recommend him though. Just hope that nothing happens on the days of your tests :)

Mark is probably one of the best professors I've ever had! He is always there to help when you don't understandhave questions, and makes the lectures as fun as they can be for biology. I took the class for credit, but if he taught a different class I would totally sign up; he's really funny (and super cute!).

Mark is a fantastic teacher. He understands that 90% of his BIO1010 students are just there for the general credit. He made the class interesting, focused on what we were interested in, and did a great job of prepping us for his tests. He is extremely knowledgable and does a great job providing help. Lectures are full of humor, which is enjoyable.

Really a great guy for bio 1010, he makes everything really easy to understand - perfect for a beginning class. He's also really funny! Lectures are never boring so I don't mind going to class. It's especially great when he lets us know that he's giving us a simplified version of a concept and says "You don't need the rest for my class".

Mark is a great professor, he simplifies difficult material so that you can understand. His exams are straight forward, if you've studied, and even offers extra credit if need be.

So from the general classes biology is one of the most failed classes. I was concerned about this but luckily I had Mark as teacher. He explains things very clearly, homework help a lot to understand the material. If you don't like biology take it with Mark he is awesome! Great person and his examples are very useful

Best possible teacher I could have had for Biology 1010. He's lectures are awesome and he makes everything interesting and relevant to the students. Tests are tough, but if you study and review before hand it isn't too hard to pass with a high score. There is a study guide. Don't skip class, take notes, study, and review and you can pass with an A.

Great Professor, willing to do whatever he can to help you understand the material. That being said, Genetics is a very difficult course, you have to put in a lot of work to understand the concepts that are being taught.

If you go to class, pay attention, do your homework and study with the study guides, passing is easy enough. Also, he's hilarious and good-looking! This guy was freakin hilarious. I had this class first thing in the morning and I was excited to go everyday just to hear him lecture. Made the class worth going to and was a really good teacher. Attendance and good note taking will help you pass with ease.

The class is easy as long as you take good notes and go to class everyday. He teaches in bite-size pieces for you to understand the lesson easily. The homework are all online but it's easy.

I read the assigned chapters and went in when something was unclear or I needed to see what I missed on the tests. Excellent question clearing up and wants to help you succeed in all other classes as well.

Mark is AMAZING!!! He is so smart and is the BEST teacher I have ever had. Answers questions clearly, and never degrades students for having questions. He only makes you know what you need. YOu do however have to buy the online homework to pass the class its around $70, but homework take around 20 min. PLEASE do yourself a favor and take him!@

Mark was a great teacher! He helped us memorize the material in clever ways so we could remember it. He gave us breaks during class, and he was hilarious. We are laughing all the time, and it's always about what we're learning.

He makes sure you understand what you need to know for the course, but expect some tough tests. Seriously the class average is like 75%.

This is my third time taking biology. Because of Mark I am finally passing the class and with a B+! Mark explains things so well and relates them to real life. He is funny and makes lectures enjoyable! Also, if there is something that is too complex he will just say it's "magic" and let us skip it! Mark made me like biology again! Thank you! :)

This was a class I was afraid to take because it's like the 3rd most failed class at UVU but I ended up loving it! Mark was super helpful and always available and open to answer questions. He was probably the best teacher I've had at UVU he made me love Biology and have a real interest in it! As long as you go to class and do homework you'll pass!

You don't have to go to class but if you want to pass you need to go listen to his lectures. He gives you everything you need to study for the test and even has review days or groups. He is ALWAYS willing to help you outside of class and is very easy to approach. He doesn't try to trick you on tests or quizzes, he wants you to succeed. Prof. Huynh is a good guy, he knows the material in depth and is very good at explaining it to others. He tells jokes and stories in order to help solidify the information. However, you need the textbook. It is lots of information to learn, and he doesn't give homework OR assignments; so be aware of your quizzes, exams, and final grades.

Mark is probably the best Biology teacher I have had. Honestly if you don't take a class from Mark you're missing out. Always is willing to give extra help, super chill dude. Will do his best to personally make sure you understand everything. You will love his classes. No homework, easy quizzes, tests are easy if you study.

Mark is Amazing!!! If you're taking biology or any other class he teaches then get him. He is very considerate of his students and wants to help everyone understand the material. He is very caring and wants to help. He is very accessible outside of class and he won't move on to a new subject if there is someone that doesn't understand something.

Greatest, funniest professor I have ever had. It is definitely a lecture class if I have ever taken one. Weekly open notes, infinite time quizzes open Friday to Sunday night. The test are similar to the quizzes, but slightly more challenging (exactly how tests should be). If you read the book and go to lectures you'll do fine in the class.

Mark is a great professor and is always available to talk to you and help you with anything. He is really good at explaining complicated things for everyone to understand them. The class was fairly difficult to get an A but he'd help everyone a lot. Studying is necessary.

Mark was my FAVORITE teacher! His lectures are not boring, he teaches the material very well, answers your questions, and wants you to do well in the class. There were weekly quizzes on canvas and no homework. Mark teaches us everything we need to know, then it's up to the students to spend time making sure they fully understand it to do well.

Mark is sooo funny! He's more than willing to help you out with anything, although I wish he would help us study more specifically for the tests. We did require having a textbook but not to class. Weekly quizzes over the weekend but he was a great teacher. Without him, I wouldn't have passed lol. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

He is a great teacher, and knows his stuff. That being said, if you are reading your book (and understand it) this class will not be as difficult for you.. If you dont read, or go to class, it'll feel like reading another language when you take the test. Make a study group, and ask him for help. I thought he was hilarious, but thats my opinion

He is always willing to help and is readily available with any question you may have. Take ANY class you can from Mark! He truly makes you feel like you can accomplish anything.

Mark is amazing! If you need to take anatomy you need to take it from him you won't regret it!!! Total of 5 tests, once a month basically. Homework and quiz every week but they weren't too hard.

Mark refuses to put slides up on Canvas because he's a butt. Other than that, he's great! He's funny and engaging and patient and good at explaining difficult concepts. His tests can be difficult, but he never tries to trick you. Class attendance is not required, but you really should go and take notes or you'll be confused. You need the textbook.

I can't say enough good things about Mark. He is the best professor I've ever had. I wish he could be my professor for every class. He explains complex ideas in a way that literally anyone could understand. I hate science but I looked forward to every class and I actually LEARNED instead of just memorizing things for the next test.

Hands down my favorite and best professor that I've had. Attending lectures it's clear that Mark KNOWS and LOVES what he teaches. He's funny and makes learning fun/ He's very thorough in his lectures and really makes you think. He's there for the student to succeed, and though his class is test heavy he's very ready and willing to help you.

Mark was a fantastic teacher and although I didn't get a great grade in his class, I loved it. It was definitely hard at times because he has a lot of tests, but luckily he drops your lowest test score. You have to go to class unless you're great at learning on your own. Tests were hard, I never got higher than a 50, but i have nothing bad to say!!

Exams are extremely hard but he drops the one with the lowest score. Take lots of notes with detail. I got the textbook but never used it. My notes were more helpful.

Mark is the best professor I have ever had! In lecture he breaks down difficult concepts in a way that is easy to understand, plus he's hilarious! Take detailed notes and write down phrases he says because they are often on the tests. No hw except for a weekly quiz. He is always available in his office if you need help. He's great!

idk why people said he refuses to share the slides. I downloaded all of them to take notes on. He is always VERY kind, even when he told me he only had a few minutes, he helped me - followed by several other students. He happily helped them even though you could tell he was stressed. He is a fantastic teacher, really cares about his students!

Mark Huynh has been my favorite biology professor so far. He remembers the things that are hard for students to understand. He also does a fantastic job explaining the information. Like any microbiology class, there is a ton of information, so I had to put in a lot of time to go back over material. I can recall more from his class than any other.

Take Mark! He is the best full-time lecturer that exists! His lectures are engaging and relevant to a future career in medicine and on top of that he is hilarious. He is also very caring and responsive to his students needs. Bio can be a difficult class but if you take it from Mark you will leave loving it. I recommend him over anyone else!

Mark helps you understand the material in a simplified way. For his class, and for future classes you might take (anat/phys etc) I've used things I learned in his course to help me in my anat and phys courses. Sometimes I still use his lecture slides. Prof Huynh is an AMAZING professor! His online lecture was awesome and his quizzes and exams followed exactly what we had learned from the lecture. He wants his students to succeed and gives them many opportunities to make up lost points and to do better on the next exam.

His tests are formatted in a way that is really beneficial to Medical Professionals taking this course. It's a tough subject, but Mark makes it digestible!

I've taken almost 100 credit hours of classes, and out of all the professors I've had, Mark is in the top 3! He is very knowledgeable, great at tailoring to medical professions, and great at simplifying complicated material. Make sure to put in your work, these classes are SO hard no matter who you take them from, but he is your best bet for sure!

I was a little worried about this class because I was in a class with 50+ students and often professors don't care about you in classes of that size, but luckily Mark was amazing. He knows what he teaches, and he knows how to do it well without boring you. Just fill out your learning objectives and study those and you'll ace every quiz:)

He gave us multiple resources to learn from and the lectures were easy to understand. I would definitely choose him if I saw he taught other classes I need!

I literally made an account just to write this review! Mark is an amazing professor I had him TTh for 1 hr 15 mins and it felt like 20mins as he is so captivating and the lectures are interesting. Make sure you study for tests and review the quizzes as you still need to work for your grade, but he is really approachable and answers any questions.

Mark is a vibrant and entertaining personality that brings a splash of character to what I consider to be a very dry field of study. While I do not feel that I understood the material well (Biology and I are at eternal odds with each other), it was probably the most engaging of its kind.

Do not get the textbook unless you will read it. Keep notes and pay attention. Very weird in test material more so on why a disease is taking place

He gives breaks during long lectures, makes sure the material is understood, provides PowerPoints with course material, gives lots of extra credit opportunities, and is a pretty funny guy. You get two chances on each quiz and he drops your lowest quiz and test. Fill out your learning objectives and you will get an A!

One of my favorite teachers I've had! Laid back, but he really cares that his students understand the material. It was a hard class, but I would take it again. He also prepares you for and gives you good advice for further education (med school, nursing school, grad school).

Heavy on quizzes and tests, Mark has learning objectives and slides but also gives you all that you need to pass. Quizzes are open book/open note, but not for the tests. Throughout the lectures, Mark will drop hints as to what to study for the test. He will always answers your questions and constantly says that "no question is a stupid question."

The nature of the class is that there's just a lot of material to cover, so don't be thrown off by it. He is really good at answering any questions that you may have and is very encouraging to all of his students. He knows that it's not the easiest class, and he wants you to succeed.
