Mr. Lane is a great math prof. I'm terrible at math and he definitely helped me through it. He gives an average amount of online and book homework. Tests aren't incredibly long, but they aren't incredibly hard either. Problems you see on the tests are the same questions you see in homework and in class notes except different numbers.

Mr. Lane is a fantastic professor. Do the homework and you'll pass your tests w/flying colors. He uploads fantastic reviews of the test that help you out big time on the test. I suck at math but Mr. Lane's tutorials and overall awesome in-class explanation of how do the problems he gives actually makes me enjoy it.

Mr. Lane is such a sweet teacher. He gives a few quizzes (not difficult), so make sure you go to class. If you struggle in math, ASK QUESTIONS. he will help you; some online homework which is fairly easy. he will give you credit if you work out problems/show work. knows what he is talking about. also post notes online. also drops lowest test grade!

Mr. Lane was a fantastic teacher. I had not taken any math classes in 5 years, but he made it easy to shake the rust off, and pass the course with flying colors. I was often late to class due to work, but he would stay after class and help me with the parts I missed. I want to take him for MATH 1325 if I can!

TAKE HIM! He is an awesome teacher, and will be very helpful. He is very specific and will be available to help when you need it. Really nice guy too. He gives reviews for his tests that have questions that will be similar to the tests. Also, has take-home quizzes and 1 take-home test that will help boost your grade! He has book homework, not hard.

He does a great job explaining things and his tests are true to the study guides. I feel like I am actually learning the material from him. Couldn't recommend him more!!

took Mr. Lane's 1324 class in the summer and I really enjoyed it and would definitely recommend. The summer class was fast-paced just like any other summer class but he did a great job explaining all the material thoroughly. Best thing to do is to print out the notes and take them to class with you so that you can work out the problems with him

He's a really nice guy that's willing to help you out. He gives several extra credit opportunities on tests. His lectures can get a bit boring just because he's a bit monotone sometimes but he's really good at explaining how to do it. He's always in his office and you can always go by to ask for help. You don't need the textbook!!

Mr. Lane is an amazing prof! If math is not your thing, take him! As long as you put in the effort, he is very patient and willing to help you learn. I took him for 1314 and 1325 and enjoyed his classes very much.

Prof Lane is BY FAR my favorite prof & I already signed up for his calc class next semester. He is SO PATIENT & always wants to help you. He really appreciates students who want to learn and who want to do well. There is extra credit offered before every test. He always gives test reviews & will happily help you work through them.

I personally loved this class. All you need to do is go to class. You WILL get a B if you just go to class and pay attention. He does offer extra credit opportunities and will work with you to get the grade you want! I recommend him!

In one semester there were at least five tests, in my opinion thats a little test heavy but, your final grade replaces your lowest test grade. He's pretty good at lecturing and will always try to explain the concept in another way if its confusing. The only thing I really griped about was how picky of a grader he was; WATCH OUT FOR YOUR MARKINGS.

Gives credit where credit is due. Getting the wrong answer doesnt mean completely wrong. Setting it all up matters. Pushes quizzes back if behind schedule. Loves his job. He loves to see excitement in the eyes of students who have fun with wanting to really grasp math. I really enjoyed the class, one of the best math professors Ive had!

Professor Lane is one of the best math profs I've had. He may annoy some, but I genuinely enjoyed his class. He takes time to make sure you understand what he's teaching, and grades for partial credit so you receive the highest score possible. Even if you miss every question on a test, you'll still usually get a D.

Math is hard so the people who rated him bad probably struggled just as much as i did but trust me, he is a GREAT professor. He wants everyone to do do well thats why he has 5 tests so its not weighted as much and final replaces the lowest test. He is a great person and great teacher so dont be afraid to ask questions!

5 tests, one gets replaced by your final exam grade. The extra credit reviews for each test add up at the end. He asks "does that make sense?" after every sentence, but he actually cares that everybody knows the material and is always willing to help. The material is fairly difficult, but Lane is a solid choice to take as a prof.

Professor Lane assigned a decent amount of homework, all online. He's super thorough on what he teaches and let's/encourages you to ask any questions. He's also always there for office hours and willing to help out with any questions. He drops your worst project grade, well at least in our class and the final exam brought me from a C to a B.

He's a good math teacher. He can explain things well and he is patient. The class isn't hard at all. There's online homework and the tests come with a review with either the answers or bonus points. He's nice take him.

Lane is a pretty solid professor. Math has never been my strong suit, but I believe he provides in depth descriptions of each process, and is always open to answering questions and providing help. The tests are quite a bit harder than the homework and reviews, but I've found studying with others from the class helps a lot!

I really enjoyed Lane. Get ready to learn alot of info in a short amount of time. Take advantage of his office hours, they helped me alot. There are alot of online hw's but every math class is going to have hw. Tests are not multiple choice but if you do the review the test is basically the same thing. I loved mr. lane. He explained the material very well and went back over anything there was confusion on. He is always available for office hours and he wants you to succeed in his class! I would recommend this professor 10/10! He makes sure everyone understands what he is teaching and will explain it in good detail if you don't. Honestly, if you pay attention you will pass his class. He also gives a ton of extra credit and will probably round your 88 to an A, if you show work on his final exam. I would take him again

Mr. Lane is a great professor who truly cares about his students. He really does want everyone to fully understand the topic and frequently walks around class helping people with questions. He offers extra credit on exams, and gives partial credit as well. I would highly recommend (the content is really tough tho lol)

I have never liked math, never been good at it but Prof. Lane helped me understand everything we had to do in that class. I went to alot of his office hours which helped out alot the only thing that kinda sucks is that hes not always at the Bryan Campus sometimes hes across town at Rellis. I can assure yall though that the drive to Rellis pays off.

Dr. Lane is so nice and helpful. I'm not a math person, but this class really is not too bad because he tells you exactly what you need to know. If you study the review, you will do well on the test. The print out notes are very helpful and kept it organized. I enjoyed this course and did much better than I thought I would.

Mark Lane is a good professor. He explains the math problems very well and answers any questions you have. One thing though is there are 5 tests and some of the material does get a little hard. But other than that the class is good and he teaches it very well!

Good prof, although he can be rude at times, he yelled at us once because no one was answering his questions, he puts you in break out rooms and expects you to talk to your classmates and if not he is rude. The homework was time consuming, but really helped with the tests, as did the review. The tests weren't hard, made an A on all. OH helped.

I can't fit all the good things about him in less than 350 words. I had him for Math 1324 for 8 weeks and I truly am blessed to have been in his class. He does a wonderful job of explaining and breaking down of the material. Tests are exactly what you go over in class. He loves giving partial credit, so do your work on the paper

Prof Lane is a solid teacher. He does put you in groups, and has an expectation for participation. Do your homework, and go to office hours if you need anything. He really appreciates it if you do. The homework and the test are very similar, do the test reviews they are also helpful. He's pretty chill, but don't leave your homework for the weekend!

Great professor! You can tell he truly cares about his students and wants them to understand the material. Although the homework may seem like a lot it really does prepare you for the exams. I've always struggled with math, but Mr. Lane is a great teacher and I was able to understand the content.

I very much recommend to take him for any course. There is about 3-4 hw assignments per week which I didn't like. But you can answer them as much as you like until you get the grade you want. He posted the lectures online in case you miss a day. He also emails back very quickly. The material wasn't too tricky, and he did a great job of explaining.

I knew that an 8-week calc was going to be difficult. However, Prof Lane is always willing to help you understand the material leading up to each test. The class moves very fast, usually a test every week in a half, lots of homework, classwork, and a final that can replace the lowest test grade. Mr Lane will quickly respond to your emails.

The class is very basic math as long as you come to class and study for the test. Professor Lane will always help if you come to his office hours or ask him in class. is surly isn't a blowoff but you won't have a hard time getting an A. also there is homework every single night but it isn't due until Saturday night. Amazing professor. I STRUGGLE in math and took him for an 8 week Calculus class. Prof Lane is so helpful and beyond patient. As long as you apply yourself he will always try to help you out. Mr. Lane is a really good professor that cares about his students. I would recommend going to every class to stay on top of work. The homework on My Math Lab is difficult but doable. He is very passionate about his job and very easy to talk to. As long as you know the material, you should be fine.

I would recommend showing up to all his classes and doing classwork/homework right after. The class requires a lot of homework so it can pile up quickly. This class requires hard work if you want to do well on his tests. On the reviews he posts he provides answers but doesn't show any work on how he got there. Nice guy, hard class!

Professor Lane is awesome for stats! He explains very well and I did not think I would get an A in math but he is a great instructor. If you have to take a math class, take him. Homeworks were helpful but classworks are even better for studying! Always willing to help during office hours too, answers emails fast

I took Mr. Lane this summer semester and he was great, answered all questions very thoughtfully and helped some students who had more trouble with the subject, was always accessible outside of class. He does not grade very harshly either and made a math course seem very doable for once, would definitely take again if I did math at Blinn again.

Mr. Lane is such a good teacher !! He is always willing to help you, and responds quickly to emails. He replaces your lowest test grade with the final (if you scored higher). The final is multiple choice, and cumulative(other tests aren't). The only thing I did not like is that the review key only provides the answer, not how to get the answer.

If you are not normally a strong math student TAKE THIS CLASS! Mr. Lane made all of the content very clear and was happy to help with any questions you had. While Professor Lane was a good professor, he grades very harshly on tests and takes off points for very minor things. None of the tests were multiple choice. Tests also made up a large percentage of your overall grade, so you really need to do well on them even if you do the rest of the assignments. The material was easy though.

Mr. Lane is AMAZING. He replaces one exam with your grade for the final exam & gives extra credit. There is a lot of online homework on ALEXS, but it's easy. Took him in for an 8 weeks class. Lots of homework but nothing over 12 problems per chapter. Exams are good if you do his reviews. Pay attention to the calculator he explains how to work each problem so you don't have to memorize formulas. Honestly best professor to take for math

I LOVED HIM!! Math was not my strongest in high school and I received an A in my statistical math class. He is so caring and so easy to talk to. He provides excellent notes and lots of homework, but if you do it on your own, you should be well prepared for the exam.

Cool guy, very laid back, cares about his students. Tests weigh a lot. There is usually 2 chapters of homework on My Lab and 2 classworks a week (super easy) due that Saturday. Go to class if you want to understand the notes, and DO THE TEST REVIEWS!! The reviews are a lot like his exams! Be careful on exams though because little mistakes add up

Professor Lane is a good lecturer and the class material itself is pretty easy. The workload isn't too bad and he provides reviews to work through before the test. However, he is a very tough grader on tests and will nitpick to find anything to take points off for. Since this course is so heavily weighted on tests, it can really affect your grade.

Take him for stats! He teaches really well and explains/ dumbs down problems to help me and others understand. If you can, try to show up to office hours as he gives out notes and goes step by step to make you understand. He doesn't get frustrated and wants his students to succeed. He also helps with Developmental students understanding math.

Professor Lane was such a good professor! I highly recommend taking him for this course! He gives out ALOT of homework on ALEKS that is always due on Saturdays, but if you just stay on track with them, they are an easy 100 always. He also always gives chapter homework for the week, but like I said it's super easy to make 100s on all his homework's.
