Great teacher. Very helpful and very nice!
funny, good communicator, makes class interesting
He's a good funny guy who knows his math and get to know his students
real good proff!
Very funny guy and is very helpful. He definitely knows his math, he's a walking calculator!
I've never had a professor help their students as much as he did. Exam week he held office hours all day every day. Review sessions before every tests, real nice guy, definitely recommend taking him
You will never, ever have a kinder, more helpful, funny and genuinely good guy as Dr. Liatti. This is the best professor in the math department at Auburn University. He will do everything he possibly can to help you learn the material. He is awesome. Take him and you will not regret it.
Dr. Liatti is a fantastic educator. I have never had a professor that was so helpful and wanted you to learn the material. He holds office hours every day and does two review sessions before every test. The guy is also hilarious and has some crazy stories. If you go to his office hours and try to learn the material he will help you.
he was amazing..loved the class..he made everything so easy..i really thought i would have trouble with bus cal but i really learned a lot and came out of it with an a!
This guy was the best professor I've had at Auburn. He genuinely cares about his students and want them to do good. The material was tough sometimes, but he didn't settle until everyone got it. He gave so many review sessions that you couldn't fail the test. THE BEST TEACHER I've had at Auburn, period.
Dr. Liatti was easily one of my favorite professors at Auburn! He really enjoys teaching, and is incredibly helpful. He is always trying to get to know his students and always has a joke to tell. I highly recommend him.
Dr Liatti is a great teacher and made the material seem really easy. The material was review for me so I didn't go to class regularly, but went a few days before each test to get the review sheet. He really wants everyone to do well and makes some of the tests with sample problems and step by step instructions. Plus he drops your worst test grade.
Dr. Liatti is a very smart man who genuinely wants his students to succeed. Dr. Liatti allows students to drop their lowest test grade and is very helpful if you ask questions.
TAKE DR. LIATTI. He is the best professor I've had so far, and he genuinely cares about his students. He is quirky and kind. I would take Business cal all over again just to be his student.
Probably the best professor I have had so far at Auburn. He does a good job of explaining the material and has a couple of review sessions before every test.
Best Teacher at Auburn!! The only professor to have for Business Calculus.
Awesome teacher! Can not recommend him enough. He was extremely helpful and gave great reviews for the test.
Amazing professor!! Can be a little out there but he is easily the best math teacher I've ever had. All quizzes (not tests) and clear outlines of what you will be tested on! Always available and happy to help outside of class! I would 100% recommend him to anyone! He made calc II as painless as possible--I would definitely take his class again!
Only two words can describe this professor - "THE BEST". Do you suck at math? Do you horribly such at math? Take Professor Mark Liatti and know the true math. He cares! He wants you to pass like anything! As I already said, he is the best. He can literally teach a cat to do math like a peace of cake! Amazing Professor!
Hes great. Take him
Dr. Liatti is a great professor and an even better man. He made cal2 as painless as possible. He genuinely cares about his students and wants everyone to pass. Hes always accessible and helpful whenever you need him. TAKE HIM IF YOU EVER HAVE THE CHANCE!!!!
Just take his class when you have Calc 2. He will make calc2 so easier. PLEASE DO WEBASSIGN HOMEWORKS BECAUSE IT HELPS YOU A LOT!
Super nice guy. Go to office hours and he will help you if you're struggling! Hard class, but makes it so much easier. Hilarious and kind of goofy but cares about you and wants you to pass!
Honestly the math department professors are really bad, but I think Dr. Liatti is the best one to take. I took calc in high school and understood it, but I hated it at auburn. Dr. Liatti tends to over-explain things and makes calc more confusing than it already is. aside from that he's a good guy and tries to learn everyones name. grades fair too.
When signing up for Calc, whether it be Calc 1 or 2, I would strongly recommend Dr. Liatti. This man goes above and beyond to develop relationships with his students as well as offer extra help when needed. He's the coolest professor I've ever met, so genuine, so respected, so helpful, and yet still manages to teach concepts well. Take his class.
He's is a great teacher. He explains everything very well and is VERY accessible during the week. 10/10 would take his class again.
The sweetest person in the whole world; genuinely cares about his students and is accessible outside of class for any questions.
Dr. Liatti really cares about his students. He holds office hours every day and review sessions every day of the week. If you have the chance to take his class I highly recommend it.
Dr. Liatti is a really great teacher who cares about his students. I would definitely take again. Be warned, he doesn't do tests, just quizzes but this won't really prepare you for the final. It's an easy class with very little required work but make sure you're supplementing what he gives you so you can pass the common final.
54% average on the calc one final with no curve. Enough said.
Mr. Liatti really seems to care about his student and wants them to do well. If you pay attention in class and go to his review sessions you will do pretty well. Be ready for webassign homework and mini tests instead of big tests.
Don't take if you have already taken calc in high school, marked off my test because I would solve a different way. Calc final was made from another professor and no one was prepared. disgrace to calc and should not be allowed to teach.
Mark Liatti does not explain what will be on the final. He does not prepare you for it. He is very rigid in his thinking and even if a calculus problem can be solved in different ways, arriving at the seem correct answer, he counts of. He does not understand creative thinking, kind of just sticks to a routine.
Dr. Liatti is so caring. He has study sessions before every quiz and gives quizzes every 2 weeks instead of huge tests. Calculus is hard, but he definitely made it easier. He does get off topic easily, but his stories are always entertaining. Attendance isn't mandatory, but he works examples in class, so it helps if you go.
He knows math. Just keep him on that topic.
He is definitely one of the most caring professor you could ask for. Me personally scare about math mostly because of my math teachers in the pass. They were really tough, and makes me wanna run away from it. If you having a situation like me, you should trust Dr. Liatti for a fresh start at this subject.
funny stories
Dr. Liatti is hilarious!! He is also a great teacher, and he cares about his students. He holds review sessions multiple nights a week that really help!! He also makes the effort to remember your name. Great guy!!
Is an absolute must have for calculus one! He wants everyone to pass and will do anything to help you out. Makes easier exams than other professors while spreading them out making the material more spread out. Will give you an infinite amount of tries on homework. Has friday study sessions along with study sessions 2-1 nights before an exam.
He really cares about his students and holds tons of office hours and review sessions. His tests were really easy, especially if you took calculus in high school. He did not prepare us at all for the really difficult common final. He held study sessions every day of finals week to help us, but I'm not sure if I'm prepared for calculus 2 now.
Awesome dude
I took calculus before, so the class wasnt bad. He started out veryyyyy slow, but got fast quick, so I felt a little bad for those who hadnt seen calc. Gives lots of opportunities for help/study sessions. Funny guy
Dr. Liatti. What an amazing professor. I am sad that I do not have him again this semester. Dr. Liatti was a professor that cared. He is always open to office hours and helping you with the homework that is assigned by the head of the calculus department. He hosts help sessions every Friday and was always open to having more if needed by students.
Dr. Liatti is hilarious. He didn't really seem to understand zoom, but he had a great attitude about it. Great teacher, caters to the needs of his students. Constantly trying to make things more interesting and entertaining. He teaches the material in a way that is easy to understand, and bent over backwards to offer study sessions. Great guy.
Liatte is amazing. If you dont take him youre doing it wrong. Calc 2 is a hard class so dont expect an easy A but Liatte will definitely help you out. Id take him for every class if I could
He is the best professor I have had at Auburn. 10/10 would recommend. He is super reasonable and understanding. He tells good stories but also always stays on track with the material. A ton of practice in class. Always looking for a chance to help. Holds study sessions twice every week for us to ask questions.
I had Dr. Pearson for until the 1st exam then I transferred to Liattis. I understand the material a lot better. I would highly recommend. Its a difficult class no matter the professor, but Liatti makes it a lot better. He gives problems to review and most of the time theyre on the quiz /test. Easily one of my favorite professors tho
Dr. Liatti is one of the best. Not sure what my final grade is but probably an A or B. He goes over examples in class and gives us weekly homework. He is definitely the best choice for Calc. 2.
Dr. Liatti is one of those professors that make you actually want to learn the material. He does such a good job of explaining it and goes out of his way to offer extra study sessions where he'll help with the homework and clarify things. He is a professor I would love to have again.
Took him for Calc II and he is the best math professor you could hope for. Homework is the same no matter who you take but he made the tests as easy as possible given the material. He truly does want every single one of his students to pass. He offers a lot of office hours throughout the semester with multiple days per week. All around awesome guy.
I thought it was easier to find a unicorn than a good math prof, but now I know. Liatti is mythic. He can teach & he cares about students. Calc2 is hard but Liatti offers so much help outside of class. Study sessions evenings and weekends so they don't conflict with SI/office hours for other STEM classes. I was so lucky to be in his class. Mythic.
Dr. Liatti is the most animated teacher I've had. He really made a boring subject entertaining. I improved a letter grade from Cal 1 to 2 because I had him. He only gives 3 tests and has 5 quizzes, so not a lot of wiggle room but a great instructor!
He made the lectures so much fun, half the class time he'd spend telling us stories. He would tell us the types of problems that would and wouldn't be on the exams. He'd hold study sessions during the week where he would work problems from the homework that people had trouble with. A great teacher, try to get him if possible.
Liatti the GOAT
Mark Liatti is a good instructor and the final exam is always written by a long-time AU professors. You need to do well on Mark's given tests because you will fall at least a letter grade as your final mark, due to the final exam. Mark provides help sessions but remember the final is in no way created by teachers, except a hand full.
Dr. Liatti is the actual GOAT. He is entertaining to listen to in lectures and he goes super in-depth with everything that he does. Dont take anyone else.
Liatti is a good instructor. I was warned that the final exam is actually written by tenured professors. So, no one, including Liatti sees the final exam until the day it is given. Most students were surprised by this. People like myself were prepared for it and so my test average went down but I managed to hang on to a "B."
I leaned from other students that Liatti is a good teacher but he fails to cover enough of the material. Liatti is an instructor and instructors do no write the final exam for the calculus courses. Instead Professors do. Friends who had professors, helped me prepared for the same final, given to all students. So my final grade benefited.
Picked up from guy who left mid semester. Did a great job teaching a very hard class. Review sessions are amazing so go no matter what.
He is an instructor part-time. As far as instructors go, he is pretty good.
Math profs are known for a type of personality, that goes along with the subject.. This instructor is okay. His explanations are clear..
Dr. Liatti is, in my opinion, a gift to the math department. He genuinely cares about his students, goes above and beyond by constantly putting on study sessions before exams, and is very accessible if you can only meet in the mornings before class. If you are able to take him for any class DO IT! I
Dr. Liatti is very funny and makes sure to make lectures as interesting as Calculus can be. He holds plenty of review sessions during the week and takes plenty of questions. Grading was a bit slow since tests & quizzes were mainly handled by TA's, but we always had plenty of time to prepare.
I just finished a course with this instructor. He is okay but there were many surprises on the final exam. I do not think this instructor prepared as much for the final as well as he did for other tests. I hung on to a "B." The final definitely lowered my grade. I do not know about other math instructors. Good luck.
Great guy/ good teacher. He was under the impression that we weren't taking the common final so he did not teach the last couple of chapters which hurt us on the final. Before the drop date, there were 3 tests ungraded. Went into the final with one test ungraded. Theory is he didn't put common final in. Final grade posted @9:29, was due @9:30.
Dr. Liatti isn't bland by any stretch of the imagination. His personality and energy make his lectures very enjoyable. He makes concepts and methods very digestible. A curious and engaged student will succeed under Dr. Liatti's instruction. There is a good bit of homework but I didn't include that tag since that decision is made by the department.
Mark Liatti is the best professor I have ever had. His lectures are very good. He makes it interesting and teaches the material very well. Test aren't bad he gives insight on what's going to be on it. Love him and would definitely take him again.
It is well known that the final is a final exam prepared by professors, not at all by this instructor. This is a long-time common practice for AU math courses each semester. So there is no way this instructor can adequately prepare students for the final. Complain to the department but I seriously doubt the department would care.
I have heard from so many classmates about a course we took. The most common view is that this instructor explains matters fairly well. But in the end, other people, who are senior and in the math department, always make a common final that you can only be partially prepared for. So prepare accordingly. Math instructors will verify this.
Dr. Liatti is a bit all over the place in a good way. He goes on fun rants during his lectures. He posts all notes on canvas if you don't attend. His tests and quizzes are really easy. He hosts "study sessions" during the week and weekends where you can go and he'll answer any questions you have on the homework or material.
I took Liatti for Calc 1 and I enjoyed his class. He is a good lecturer and he makes his classes funny while also not getting too off track. You take your quizzes in your recitation classes. Liatti is great, but one bad thing about him is that the questions he gives on his exam is too easy compared to the final exam. Study well and you'll be fine.
Really eccentric and knowledgeable professor. Very fair with his students and would give many opportunities to succeed. Would go beyond the material to explain the big-picture concepts of Calculus, which greatly helped me better learn the material. Took AP Calc AB in high school, earned a 5, and have still learned in this class. Highly recommend.
I think he is great but if you are not quick with math he may not be for you. He teaches mostly by explaining a concept and then doing a lot of examples. Do the homework and go to the recitation classes.
Dr Liatti is the GOAT. He has absolutely amazing lectures and makes them hilarious at the same time. There is a good bit of homework, but thats not his decision. His only grades are tests, which he prepares you for by telling you the topics. One negative thing I do have to say is that he doesnt prepare you for the finals like you should be.
Many teachers fall short by explaining a topic in a way that doesn't connect with an audience who has never seen said topic before. Liatti however does this and more; he explains every topic from the ground up so anyone can understand, no matter your past experience, which is SUPER important in math. Love this guy! Super funny and nice!
Very caring, explains topics well, & funny! Great choice for calc 1. Hosts many study sessions to get help outside of class
His tests were relatively easy compared to the final. His lectures could be hard to follow sometimes but he hosts study sessions at least once per week. Should be an easy B.
Dr. Liatti is a good teacher and very knowledgeable. He often goes on rants, but they're funny and help keep class from being too boring. He hosts study sessions once or twice a week. While the lectures that he teaches are not mandatory, the sessions with the TA are. His tests aren't the easiest, but if you pay attention and study it's a solid B.
I love Dr. Liatti, I took him for cal1 and am in his class again for cal2. He is super fun and I love his class. He holds study sessions outside of class that you can go to and ask him questions about homework or class material. There isn't too much homework but we normally have a quiz or a test about once a week.
Dr. Liatti is hilarious and has excellent lectures, if you have the chance to take him take him!
Dr. Liatti cares about your success, he hosts study sessions 2-3x a week for students to come and ask any questions, which helped so much. His expectations on what you'll be tested over is clear and if you study you will do fine. There are 4 tests and a cumulative final. Attendance was iclicker and counted for 10% of grade + 10% in weekly quizzes.
Liatti is a great professor, I enjoyed going to his lectures and it is clear he wants his students to do well. Grading was split up between 3 tests, 6 quizzes, homework, and final. The grading was very fair and even generous. He was accessible outside of class and hosted study hours for homework help. Definitely recommend his class!
Had to retake & got Liatti; he's easily the best calc instructor at Auburn. His quizzes & exams were fair; they only required content covered in class. He gave us easy shortcuts and solved everything step-by-step. He told stories for the last 5 minutes of class and also held 2 study sessions per week. He'll also extend hw deadlines if requested
Dr. Liatti is easily the best mathematics professor at Auburn University! I have taken Liatti for Cal 1&2. Calculus is challenging, especially Cal 2, but Dr. Liatti makes it so much easier. His lectures are very visual, which I love. The majority of the grade is a Quiz about every 2 weeks and 4 Exams + Final.
Liatti is an instructor. His math explanations are okay.
Good math instructor for sure. The math department web pages indicate Liatti is an instructor. Well, he is a good one.
Lectures fail to get point across. Assumes all is naturally understood and provides poor explanations.
Dr. Liatti is an excellent lecturer, and he is super accommodating with homework. His teaching style is not stressful but is informative. He truly wants to know if you have learned, not just cause you stress.
He is awesome! He made calc 2 an easy class that is usually difficult. I strongly urge anyone planning to take calc 2 to be in his class, he's hilarious. Good amount of homework but he always pushes back deadlines multiple times so that everyone has completed them. I was able to meet with him 1-1 to ask questions many times, very easy to make an A!
1000% recommend! He really cares about his students. You will not go wrong taking Liatti!
Dr. Liatti conveys the material in an intelligent but interesting manner. Gives practice problems and shows how to work through them.
Best calc 2 prof to walk the face of this earth. clearly communicates what is needed for his exams, has the best GTAs ever for recitation (attendance is required for those). He wants you to succeed and really cares about his students as individuals. Holds multiple study sessions a week, very understanding, and very accessible outside of class.
Calculus 2 is a hard class, but Dr. Liatti knows that. His understanding of the material shines through his natural ability to distill difficult information into easily comprehendible bits of information. Yes, it is a hard class, but Dr. Liatti will be on your side, urging you to keep going. He can't make the class easier, but he makes it bearable.
Liatti makes Calculus II much easier to understand. He hold review sessions every week to help you succeed. You will not find a better professor than Dr. Liatti
Professor Liatti is very caring of his students and tries to help them succeed. His lectures are sometimes hard to keep track in but the recitation helps very much. The test are not too bad and a lot of partial credit is given. This class requires effort but is very easy to pass with a good grade.
Dr. Liatti is amazing! I can tell he really cares about his students and making sure we succeed. He is easy to get in touch with outside of class and gives lots of review opportunities. He gives formulas on exams, which is always nice because there is a lot of material covered on each exam. As long as you do the homework and study you can get an A.
Funny. Cares about students. Good teacher for a hard subject.
Tests are medium difficulty, but if you attend the review sessions and do practice problems on the webassign homework, it helps tremendously. His tests are very fair, and he's generous in partial credit; dropped the lowest test grade, but make sure to prepare for the final. It's not made by him, and it reflects the material he taught in a hard way.
Liatti is a good guy. The material is hard but it is going to be hard wherever you take it. His lectures are very heavy, but you can follow him. He sometimes tells stories. He often delays HW deadlines, and gives you an update daily. Final exam is brutal, but it is made by Auburn. He makes the tests. Its hard but I would take him again for sure
Dr. Liatti was a great instructor for Cal2. He was funny and the lectures weren't boring. He held numerous study sessions throughout the week, frequently moved back homework deadlines, and specifically laid out what sections would be on each quiz and test. Attendance was optional at lectures, but the recitation was mandatory.
Liatti is the best! If you're taking cal 2, take Liatti. If you do badly, you can email him and he will usually let you retake for partial credit. He wants you to do well and holds several extra homework/study sessions outside of class. 100% the best and also pretty funny
You should take him if you are taking cal 2 or cal 1. I think he is the best calculus professor in this college. He is an easy grader and gives the best lectures for us. I mean it's calculus so it is hard if you don't study, but if you study what he is given, you can get a good grade. He gives extra credit and takes off the lowest test exam.
Liatti is a very kind and understanding professor. His exams were pretty easy for the level of the class. Final is common and harder than Liatti's. I probably could've made an A if I didn't have ochem at the same time. Scaled the final to make my grade exactly a B. Not great at technology but that didn't affect me much. Highly recommend him.
Best Calc II professor
Dr. Liatti has been my favorite professor so far at Auburn. He is hilarious and gives relatively very easy tests. He is very generous with grading, and I would recommend him to anyone taking calculus 2. 10/10
Lots of homework given on WebAssign, he's always complaining about how the problems on the website arent good and are way too difficult but doesn't really do much about it. Tests are nothing like the types of problems worked in class, however, he is somewhat lenient with the partial credit so it isn't that bad. Not great, but could be much worse.
Dr. Liatti is great. He always complains about stuff from the department so he likes to make stuff as easy as possible for students. Tests are easym and he always moves back homework assignments when not enough people have finished it, which saved me a few times. Go to class and to recitation and the class is managable.
The realest math professor you will have at Auburn. He WILL give you hints on tests. He drops one test and three homeworks, and he will round your grade if you have good attendance at recitation. The final is rough but you will get a lot of practice problems to prepare. Calc 2 is really hard, but he made it bearable.
Great Calc 2 Professor. I was always told calc 2 was the hardest, but its not that bad with Liatti. He's hilarious, tests are pretty easy. The final is terrible (he doesn't write it), but Liatti is great. He's quick at answering emails and is always willing to help. Go to the weekend study sessions because they really help too. Hw isn't bad.
Professor Liatti was great. He would push back homework if he didn't reach that point in the lecture and would give practice problems for tests. On top of that, he would provide equations for each question except for the final. He also dropped the lowest test grade.
I had Dr. Liatti for calc II and loved him! He's definitely a yapper during lectures, but he gives hints on all the tests. Super fair grader and definitely approachable if you need to ask questions about homework or exams. He is always willing to negotiate your grade on tests if you explain how you got your answer (within reason).
Honestly, most caring professor I know. The guy is trying his best, even if Calculus 2 is a boring class.
Best Professor for Calc 2 at Auburn by far!!
Dr. Liatti often spends time after class with questions and taking his time to keep everyone on track. The only issue I had with his class is the fact that his exams didn't prepare me for the final. Knowing this, I had to try on the final and I would recommend you take Dr. Liatti if you are willing and know that you have to try harder on the final.
Great guy. He cares about his students and his lectures are also pretty good!
Best Professor you could possibly take, his tests are easy and he really prepares you for the final and midterm exams. He is very funny during the lectures and he will answer any questions. He sometimes goes off topic with a funny story but is always done on time. HE IS THE GOAT!!!!!!
If you need to take cal 2 at Auburn, you need to take Liatti. The man has a killer sense of humor that most of the students don't appreciate but i do. His lectures are helpful, GTA recitations are even more helpful than that. Tests can be difficult, final is impossible, but overall if you gotta do it, do it with liatti.
Professor Liatti is a great teacher. He's pretty funny, and his lectures are very clear.
Dr. Liatti is really great, he loves his students and is a very nice person. His lectures are good, and there are plenty of opportunities to get help outside of class. The tests are weighted heavy in this class, so study hard and do the examples he gives you. If you are struggling to understand something, check youtube and the textbook.
good professor
Love his humor, love his lectures, love his explanations. He shows derivations which are a great way to see the origins and gain a better understanding of the equations you use. Was my favorite class of the semester and I'm confident he is your best option for learning calculus. A must-have professor!
Very well spoken with tons of humor. Gives "hints" on tests that help tremendously. Lectures correlate directly to tests, but make sure to actually do the hw. Could say many more great things, but just take this guy.
Super nice guy that cares about his students. Get ready for him to go off on random tangents about his life for a lot of the lecture. His material is very good (minus the handwriting) and he knows what he's talking about. Amazing professor
Honestly a great professor. Go to lecture, pay attention, do the homework and it's not that bad. In general, Calc II is a hard class, so if you want to take it with any professor, I cannot recommend him enough.
Absolute DOG. Can not say enough good things about this guy and recommend every student at Auburn take Mark Liatti. Most fun I've had in a math class.
Dr. Liatti is an amazing person, he's kind and caring and genuinely wants you to pass the class. I didn't care for his teaching style and couldn't focus on his lectures, so most of my studying came from my recitation teacher and Organic Chem Tutor on YouTube. Pls note that Cal 2 will be hard, but Dr. Liatti will try to help you as much as possible.
If you need to pick a Calc II professor at Auburn, Liatti should be your top pick. If you struggle, immediately ask for help. Don't wait. He hosts study sessions and helps you out with information that you're going to need to know on the final.
Loved Liatti. He is a great professor, considering the difficulty of Calc II. Your grade is basically an average of your exam grades, so beware, but the exams weren't crazy. Sometimes there would be one or two crazy questions and the homework was very difficult, but for the quizzes and exams, just study the textbook questions and you'll be fine.
If you go to class and do homework, you can pass just fine. You are most guaranteed to pass Cal II if you take Liatti. BUT make sure to challenge yourself enough to prepare for the final. Also Colby Muir is a really good recitation leader if you have the chance to choose him or drop in on his class.
hands down best calc professor i have ever had.
Very easy class. Make sure you challenge yourself before the final. Shane is a great recitation teacher. Very easy tests. Lectures are very slow, and I found myself learning most of the stuff in recitation. I would recommend taking him.
He's a good professor. I wish we could've gone through simpler example problems to better understand the concepts. WebASSign is terrible!
Great professor, amazing lectures. Can't recommend enough!
Dr. Liatti was awesome. If you have to take calc II he is the only option you should take. FINAL is impossible but the other exams make it very possible to succeed in his class. TAKE LIATTI!
Dr. Liatti is a great professor. Calc 2 is a really hard course but Liatti genuinely cares about his students and tries to help them succeed. I was struggling a lot in this course but he helped me so much with partial credit and dropping homework, test, and quiz grades. I also ended up using CramBetter towards the end which was very helpful.
Love the guy, definitely cares about his students. He's a good teacher, and he gives plenty of hints on his tests. Don't rely on them too heavily though, because the final is absolutely brutal compared to the test. This is a hard class, and you really shouldn't make it any harder than it has to be by taking anyone else.
Phenomenal Professor. Very forgiving and understanding with certain deadlines. His in-class lectures are extremely helpful and easy to understand. He handwrites all of his tests and often includes helpful hints for each problem. Although Calc 2 is extremely difficult, he makes the class fun and enjoyable. I highly suggest taking his class.
Not gonna sugarcoat it, for most people, calculus 2 is a nightmare. I was one of those people. I took cal 2 three times but Dr. Liatti is by far the best professor for math I have ever had. He is such a genuine and funny person. Be prepared to hear the same jokes every class.
Calc 2 is just a hard class no matter who is teaching it. However, he makes his test slightly easier because he will give you hints on the test. He is a very fun person and makes the class a lot more enjoyable.
Awesome professor! Makes calc 2 way easier and provides a ton of resources for success. He gives a hint (equations) for each question and is very generous with partial credit. He also is very funny and genuinely wants to get to know his students. He is great with those who need accommodations as well! Overall, I really enjoyed his class!
You need to take Dr. Liatti for Calc. II. It's not an easy class, but Dr. Liatti does not make it harder than it needs to be. He cares about his students, and he wants you to succeed. He even hosted study sessions twice a week after hours. Dr. Liatti is one of the best professors at Auburn.
Calculus 2 is an objectively difficult class, but Liatti is the absolute best. He cares about his students a lot and has weekend study sessions the entire semester. His lectures are super helpful so make sure you go. He moved back homework dates all the time. He will do everything in his power to help you succeed, just advocate for yourself.
Just work hard and really try to understand all of the different processes and formulas- gives partial credit for all work so at least try to solve the problem even if you're stuck- A lot of people rave about how hard the final is but as long as you've memorized all the formulas you should be good. You'll always catch him doing something goofy…
