excelent teacher. one of the best math teachers on this campus.
Mr. McGraw is a good teacher sometimes he takes too much time going over the homework thus not having time for the material.
GREAT TEACHER, KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK
THIS teacher Talks about drugs and beer. More people fail tests then past them. He tests on stuff he never goes over most of the time. If you have to have him Take a deep breath Think about it more and don't take him. YOU WILL FAIL! :(
GOON!!! NEEDS TO GO BACK TO SCHOOL AND LEARN MATH.TEACHING SKILLS NEED WORK
No Comments
No, the teacher was not helpful. told me that he had no faith in me; that he would not pass me, even though it was 1/2 way through the semester. he's an evil witch, and a terrible teacher. Many many bad things need to be said ... and I'm the person to do
Professor McGraw is without a doubt, the worst college instructor I have ever had the utter misfortune of taking a course with..I find Professor McGraw to be a very angry, vindictive person, who should not even be a professor, but instead should find some
STAY AWAY FROM THIS PROFESSOR!!! I had to go to another Math professor to get help he confused me so much. This professor is not helpful Does not explain anything. Is not into teaching. Makes you sit in circles
OK, being that all the bad comments about this prof. are on the same day leads me to believe that one vindictive student wrote all the reviews. Yes,the class is challenging and sometimes his instructions aren't real clear, but he'll help if you ask!
I have no idea how he got a bad rating, this is one of the best math teachers I have ever had. He really tries to help you learn.
Horrible teaching Style and very spacey
Not only did he confuse me in this class; I am fairly confident that he confused himself.
Most of you are right!Mark McGraw couldn't teach if his life depended on it. I don't understand how he even has a degree. Oh ya Mc d's
I really enjoyed this professor. He took the time to make sure that you understood all the work. He explained everything out in detail. He was also very entertaining and kept your attention. He also went over all assigned work incase you had any questions.
He is truly the Worest Math teacher at Santa fe. He never Helps the class. I rate him F- More then 85% of the class failed the first test. He didn't care. More people drop out then stay.
Read this you will laugh !"I have no idea how he got a bad rating, this is one of the best math teachers I have ever had. He really tries to help you learn." BAH BAH BAH I think This rating was by the teacher HIMSELF. F- F-
ALL THE TIME his instructions are up the wall confusing. BUT NOTHING MAKES SENSE.. NOT anything. NEEDS HELPS HIMESELF. Acts like he is the student. HE never teaches for more the 10 mins and then does his own thing. He needs a Brain transplant.
Unfair.. Doesn't care about his students just his pay check.
If you pass this class you are a genius. If you fail you are like the norm. Everyone falls (He Doesn't care)He treats his students as they are idiots. He is the idiot. Very unclear whats going to be on tests and quizzes.
I had a good time in his class. He was helpful and clear. If you are really bad at math he might not be the best but don't blame it all on him.
All but 2 students failed the first test! Beware!
had him for all 3 math courses. he is the best. always willing to help. if you pay attention you can pass.
Mr. McGraw understands that students in these math courses arent going to be Astro-Physisists. I think he does a great job making mathematics understandable to people who more than likely struggled with this subject through-out high school, and as well, c
This teacher is off the wall crazy test are too hard..
I have Mr. McGraw for 3 classes now and so far he has been pretty good until this semester. I am currently in college algebra and he just throws this information at you and expects for you to grasp it in one day and then he's moving on to another chapter.
Mr. Mcgraw is one of the best teachers I have had. If you fail his class you are either an idiot or just don't care. He puts a lot of effort intohis class's as I have been in 2 so far, and is available for help at anytime. His new att. policy SUCKS tho!
Mr McGraw is a good and helpful teacher. The biggest problem that I could see in this class was that the majority of the students didnt pay attention and were highly disruptive. I suspect that those who dont do well in his class dont pay attention.
AWSOME TEACHER VERY COOL VERY HELPFUL SETS UP OUT OF CLASS REVIEWS FOR PEOPLE WHO NEED HELP BEFORE A TEST IF YOU FAIL THIS CLASS YOU ARE AN IDIOT THE FINAL IS THE EASY AS HELL
He loves to wear his chalk, and could care less about that lovely hair, but I love his teaching style. It is so wonderful and he is always willing to help!!
Very good teacher! he gives extra credit on each test. The tests are not easy, but he prepares the students very well for tests. almost every body passes the course
misleads students on tests, does not prepare you for final, condescedns students intelligence.
He's a nice guy and very funny. He covers tough material in a way that you can understand it. I would recommend him as a teacher.
Mr. McGraw is very helpful to all, but does prefer students who show up to class on time and participate. He will spend extra time with students who are struggling. Don't walk between him and the class.
Mr.McGraw is one of the best math teachers. He usually has several repeat students in each class (that says A LOT). I have taken Mr. McGraw for all of my maths (3 semesters worth), and I wish I could take him for all of the higher maths. He's awesome!!!
One of the best math teachers that I have ever had! Everything was very clear and easy to learn. I had him for two semesters and aced both of them!
Very helpful teacher, this guy really knows how to make even the most hardest topics make sense to anyone. Mr. McGraw knows how to teach math.
Mr. McGraw is an excellent teacher. He puts in a lot of effort to help students achieve the best possible grade. I recommend him for people who do not ususlly do well in math.
mr. mcgraw is an excellent teacher he gives very good notes and lectures. his class is a very fun learning experience. i love his teaching and i would reccomened him to anyone !!!!!!
amazing teacher very funy gives alot of breaks during class, he helps you during the test if you have any qustion man the guy is cool Fu*k
awesome, funny, and not hard at all. He makes sure everyone understands the work before moving on.
I previously have taken him and he was always helpful and gave us all the necessary information that would be on the quizes and tests. He was very nice and considerate. If you are having trouble and he sees that you are trying, he will help you out or give you credit for trying.
Great teacher. Gets off track a bit which could be rough on struggling students. Makes class a lot of fun. Show up to every class and get extra credit.
Awesome teacher. He makes class easy to go to and sit through, and that is great for people like me who hate math. I would love to take him for College Algebra, but he's not teaching it. Highly recommended.
He is a great teacher. He will help you whenever you need it. If math is not your subject, take McGraw.
McGraw is the best. Never got A's in math till I took math classes from him. He will help you tons, and has skill explaining math to those of us who are math tards.
excellent teacher just come to class
This guy is hilarious.
Very likable guy. Never collected homework in our class, but it would probably benefit you to do it anyway. He likes to help those who help themselves, doesn't like to hand the material on a silver platter. Gets ticked off if you don't make an effort. Doesn't like to lecture a lot, prefers Q & A.
This is the best math teacher I have ever taking. I used to not like mathe but damn he is good at what he does. i highly recommend him.
Had him in Fall 2003. More then 1/2 the class dropped out. His first test 99.9% of the class failed. Hmmm The teacher or the student you be the judge? Tenor or a great teacher? Tenor speaks lounder then words I guess. F-
This teacher was hot.He breaks down the thoery and concepts so that you will understand, the why's and how's.He gives homework, but not alot. It was my third attempt and he got through to graduate. I highly recomend this teacher is you dont like math. I really enjoyed his class
I had him for College Algebra and Pre-calc...Hes good for coll. alg but not so great at teaching precalc. I got an A in CollAlg and a C in precalc. He's fun.. I reccomend him for college Algebra ONLY though.
This teacher was horrible. He would only help the kids that understood the information. He talks about how there's never enough time but then talks about himself and his old jobs for twenty min. I do not recommend this teacher if you want a good grade

great teacher...i suck at Math and i did great with his help
this guy ****ing sucks don't take him
He's a great teacher and super funny. I've never done well in math, but now I actually like it after taking his class! He makes everything easy to understand and gives you extra credit for attendance.
Mark is the best math professor on campus. He'll sit with you in the office for as long as you need. His comedy routines, however, need a bit of work. He's goofy, but a great guy.
Great teacher. I had never had a math teacher who was so clear. He is very funny and helpful. He helps students that want to help themselves.
He gave lots of chances for extra credit and as long as you show up and try you should do fine.
i took him for my second time in intermediate algebra...he explained stuff that the teacher (Jim Birdsall) that i had before never went over and made everything clear and was willing to help when students had a problem. Take him!!
This man SUCKS!!! All his does is talk about his political views and BULL*&^*! He goes over new things during the review for a test. He also grades only test and nothing else.
NICEST teacher ever. His class is so easy. He loves to talk about other things but he will always get your attention. Gives so much extra credit for test its unreal. I don't understand some of these other ratings this man is GREAT!!!
I dont like this man, hes rude, I made a 65 on one of his test, and he said "I'm surpise you did that well" Well I ended up dropping his class, and taking it over, I ended up with a B with another professor. His test are hard, and he sometimes talks about bull**** that has nothing to so with math. You'll regret taking him, so don't.
wonderful teacher, a little homely, but well worth it.GREAT Guy. All you have to do is show up every day and really attempt to do well. Not just in class, but outside of class. He trys to be super funny, but if your older you'll get most of his humor.I would suggest taking him.
I enjoyed Marks class. It's not the easiest but he's a good prof. Spend some time in his office helps alot..
This professor is great. I have always sucked at math and finally I was making A's on tests. I plan on taking this teacher again for my next math class.
Mcgraw is the best teacher ever!! this man has gotten me through evey prep math I have had to take. Ask alot of questions, laugh at his jokes and make sure to do all of your homework, all of the questions on the tests are from homework.
Such a good teacher. Loves to help students. He actually cares about his students! All I have to say is TRY!!! if you are trying you will pass!!
Mr. Mcgraw is an awesume teacher! He gives you plenty of extra credit so you can pass the class, plus his tests arent hard. Go to class and take notes and you will do fine.
What can I say?? Hmmmmmmm. His exams are bull. My class 1/2 drop out. I had a tutor from school. He went to my tutor and told him to make me feel stupid so i would drop the class. "LATER I FOUND OUT" He makes you fell like an idiot. WELL HE IS the idiot. Did you hear about his life. Come on. Is a miracle he can walk. Math? NOT!
I think we were in the same class. This teacher doesn't help you what so ever. WORK hard try get help from the math lab get a paid tutor. Overall this teacher needs to get in gear to help not make you feel stupid.
Mr. McGraw is the BEST! He is so goofy but makes the class fun. This class was review for me but I still found it interesting. We take group Quizes the day before the test. He also offers extra credit. He is very helpful all you have to do is ask.
HE IS HILLARIOUS. ALWAYS JOKING(SOMETIMES CORNY) BUT THAT MAKES IT EVEN FUNNIER. HE IS MORE THAN WILLING TO HELP OUT IN ANY WAY POSSIBLE(OFFICE TIME, ETC). THE OTHER PEOPLE WHO GAVE HIM A BAD RATING MUST BE HORRIBLE IN MATH BECAUSE HE ROCKS! BUT DON'T GET IT TWISTED HE WON'T GIVE YOU A GRADE YOU DON'T DESERVE. BEST ADVICE-GO TO EVERY CLASS.
He is so weird. Though it seems like he wants us all to do well, he makes you feel stupid. He also pushed so hard for the drop deadline that almost half my class dropped.
Terrible. Take him if you wnat to feel dumb. I had to drop this class, I was failing. Took it later with another professor, passed with B.
he's not a good teacher. he knows math but doesn't know how to present it. doesn't like to explain things, he always says "oh you should oflearned this last semester-so oh well for you" he's really goofy and makes you feel stupid. towards the drop deadline he said if you failed this test you might as well leave, about half the class did.
He gives out a lot of extra credit and he's really helpful when u see him in his office. There are 4 tests and 5 quizes. He lets u drop either 1 test or all the quizes, and do drop a test, it gets replaced with ur quizes and u also get to drop 1 quiz. He's funny and keeps ur attention with his quirkiness. I recommend him to anyone who sucks at math
Great Teacher!! He used alot of very helpful examples!! Math is my WEAK subject, but Mr. Mcgraw made it fun and easy to understand. He gives alot of extra credit and he will work with you. Math finally started making sense. Finally, you dont have to be afraid of a math class!! Hands down, he is the best Algebra teacher at Santa Fe.
HARD HARD HARD
He was a really nice guy and funny but his style of teaching was hard to follow. I thought math was a good subject for me until I took him. You could tell he knew what he was teaching but getting that information to you in a way you could understand was dificult for him to do. So far i've agreed with all of the bad coments about him.
VERY FUNNY. He is a good teacher.
Helped me to really "get it!" Love him. Definitely recommended.
If you take this class seriously, you will enjoy it and do well. This teacher is very approachable, willing to help, and entertaining. I took him for two semesters and wish that he taught higher levels of math so that I could take more.
he is alll over the place. Shows u what to do and then what not to do and gets everyone confussed. Gives no partial credit and talks about Jesus a great deal. Kill me if i ever have to take another class with this dude.

Mcgraw is an awesome teacher and will help you out any way he can. He makes it fun and tells cheesy ;) jokes but it breaks things up. He shows how to apply math to real life situations. I'm not a math fan or very good at it but I managed to get through with an A. If you don't pass it's because your lazy and didn't study!!!
Mr. Mcgraw was a great teacher! He was always willing to help and would even point you in the right direction during a test. If you go to class and atleast check out the homework so you know what you are doing, you'll do fine. O yea and he teaches you how to do all sorts of stuff on the calculator! Hes great, I would recommend him, o and hes funny
HE LIKES TO KID AROUND...OVERALL HE TEACHES PRETTY WELL...HE TRIES TO RELATE MATH WITH EVERYDAY LIFE....EVEN THOUGH I DID AVERAGE IN HIS CLASS....I THINK HE'S A GREAT TEACHER...KUDOS TO HIM....AND WHOEVER WRITING EVIL THINGS ABOUT HIM NEED TO GET A LIFE...BOOOO HAHAHAHA
Funniest professor i have ever had. and yes he will go out of his way to help you...but only if you're willing to learn the material, otherwiese u are wasting not only your time but his.
Easy going and humorous. He gives extra points for attendence and will help you to understand the questions during tests. He never checks homework or gives quizes, but if you do homework, ask questions and come to class, you'll pass. He is not passionate about math. He's an engeneer that teaches math. Overall I recomend him.
Seriously...if you have done well in math before...this course may seem a bit challenging however i recommend you take it in summer to get it over with...Study when he teaches and redo homework before test...got an easy A
Mess!!!
i think mr. G is awsome. i would take all my math from him if possible. but he only goes to college algebra. over all i would highly recomend
Funny guy! Plus he actually cares how you do, as long as you are willing to help yourself too. I would definately suggest him!
I took him for Int. Algebra. I usually have a hard time with math, but he made it easy for me! He is funny, and very understanding. If you make an effort, he will be more than happy 2 help you. Do the h-work and re-do it b4 the test and you will easily pass! His only down fall is that he loves to talk about beer and partying.

This guy is awesome, he has a sense of humor and is very funny himself.
Probably the best professor at Santa Fe. Very helpful, entertaining, homework is "do-able", tests are on the exact material presented in class. 5 points extra on each test for perfect attendence. Even if you don't like math, Mr. McGraw will help you understand it.
Mr. McGraw is one of my favorite math teachers at SFCC. He makes sure that you understand the work and is always able to give office time. The one complaint would be the amount of work given in the class, but that is just a normal part of Math. Overall Mark is the man and a great teacher. Would recommend him to anyone.
Great professor - the best math teacher I have ever had. Really looks out for his students.
READ CAREFULLY, "MR. MCGRAW IS THE EASIEST PERSON ON EARTH. I REPEAT..EASIEST EVER." I hope after reading this posting, he makes his class a bit more difficult. Please Mr.McGraw..don't spoil students! You are the best though!
He is a good teacher if you are good in math because he doesn't grade homework and the only grades you get in the class are the test. I suggest that anyone not good in College Algebra don't take his class.
Very Helpful. Little Corny But Funny In Class. Many Office Hours. Unique Teaching Style Using Students To Help Teach Peers.
Great Teacher he makes sure you know it. THE MOST HELPFULL MATH TEACHER AT SANTA FE!!!....POINT BLANK!
Mark McGraw is a nice guy, very helpful, easygoing, inteligent, and genuine. I think he teaches well, but there are a couple thinks I did not like about the course: there is NO partial credit for the test and the extra credit system does not benefit people that are doing well, it only helps if you fail a test or have a bad grade, so if you have a
Great teacher!! Very helpful. If you really try you will do well. If you don't,you will fail. Not an easy subject, but he really helps during office hours. He really cares about his students. Very fair and very nice. Great for people with math anxiety. Very nice guy. Really enjoyed his class and really learned the subject. Thanks Mark!
The class can be hard in a 6 week crunch, but Mr. McGraw makes it fun. He will outline everything on the board (so take notes) then he gives HW but it is not manditory. He has you start the HW in class in groups and comes around to help anyone. He gives extra credit for attendance. IT HELPS to be there and do the HW.He's GREAT!
college algebra is a hard subject and I don't recommend taking him for this subject b/c your only graded by test and if your not good in math you might not pass every test.Think about it
I was horrible at math but he helped teach me how to "walk" though each problem in a realistic way..... He is THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He's a great professor. He explains things with money or clothes or anything that will make it easier to understand. Stuff that will make it more interesting and understandable. He's a great guy and very funny. Everyone enjoys going to his class. His tests can be kind of hard, but if you try, you'll have no problem. I'd recommend him.
If you like a math teacher that does math the whole class then this teacher isn't the one for you. He gets off topic all the time and I found that I learned more about him than math. He teaches the bare min and says tests are like HW but I did all the HW and the tests didn't look similar at all. He's cool but not what I look for in a math teacher.
very hard teacher for mac1140. prepare to teach yourself he gives very useless disorganized notes. tests are based on your hw no partial credit and only 20 or less probs. class avg so far is 60-70 and he just tells everyone whos doing bad to drop or change their major rather than improve his teaching. worst teacher ive ever had in my life.
He's a very funny teacher...I learned more about him than I did about math though. If you want to do well, go to his office and work one on one or go to the math lab. Your grade is based on test only. dosent collect hw or count for attendance. Bacically you better be 100% concentrated on this class or you fail.
i really enjoyed this class, he is an awesome teacher who you can relate to. he makes learning easy and if you do yourhomework and go to class everyday you will do well on the tests.(plus you get 5 points extra credit every test just for coming to class every day)basically take mark mcgraw because he is awesome!
I laughed a ton at this guy. He is in space sometimes I swear. I made a C+ in the class because I never did the homework, had no extra credit points, and did not open the book for this class once. I am lazy. If you arent... youll get an A
Gives lots of homework and the tests are your only grades. He takes stuff you did not do in homework and puts it on the test...making it really hard to pass...extra cerdit if you attend every day...
A LOT OF JOKES...NO MATH
hes funny...bad math teacher
He is SOOO funny, a great person. But i am normally good at math and didnt do too hot in this class. He gives extra credit for coming to class.Great teacher if your good at math and already understand, if not, pick a diff teacher
An absolutely awesome teacher. Ive had him every for all of my maths. I love him! He is pretty cool, really works at explaining things, and is just an all around chill guy. -P
Doesn't seem to consider the reason so many students fail his class is due to him. Too much time between tests. No partial credit. Seems to be a nice guy with a sadistic streak. It's as if failing you gives him some feeling of superiority. Tells a lot of jokes. Some funny, some ridiculously silly. Forgets to teach you things that are on tests
Do your homework! It's not much and it's what you'll see on the quizzes. About 6 people out of 24 passed in my class and about 6 people actually did the homework.... you do the math
Pretty cool guy but hes kind of hard. Homework is not required but he does assign it. Not many people actually go home and do it which is why most people fail. I totally suggest him if your good at math because hes super cool but if your no so hott at math def. choose another teacher.
DONT take this professor. all he does is complain about his life and make you feel like crap for having to take prep math because he constantly brings up how you cant say anything smart because youre in his class. terrible. DONT TAKE HIM! only 3 in my class passed.
He is great on relating the use of college algebra to the common world..
This professor is great if you are "marhematical" IF you are not, however, he will make jokes to make you feel worse about your math ability. He is not encouraging as teachers in my opinion should be and is rude. I agree with someone else that stated that he enjoys making it hard to pass his class and feeling superior. would not recommend.
This teacher only passed about 1/4 of my class. He likes to fail people.
DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR, HE TALKS MORE ABOUT HIS PRIVATE LIFE THEN MATH...
very nice! explains things well
i had mr.mcgraw f 08' and i think he was great at explaining things and clearly going out of his way to help you. i will take him again for mac1105 next semester.
Mr. McGraw is a great math teacher, you just have to make sure to put a lot of effort studying for tests because there are not a lot of tests given so they count for a lot and they can be tricky if you don't study what he tells you too. I definitely recommend him. He makes the class fun when he can sense that we're bored and he is extremely helpful
Great teacher, learned alot, show up and u get extra credit, AS LONG AS U DO THE HOMEWORK, U WILL PASS, these people giving him bad ratings obviously didnt bother with it. great teacher, will take him again for next math class :)
He is an awesome teacher. If ever you need help with anything, he is alway there to lend a helping hand. Last semester i took him and he didnt give any homework nor count attendance. but this semester he's doing both thanks to some nut saying that "he doesnt care." thanks. but i def recommend him, super nice man. :)
this man smokes mad weed. you can just feel it.
Okay everyone for spring 09 mr mcgraw was LAZY! he is too sloppy..waaayyy too sloppy and a lazy about teaching. You get one example then hes off teaching another way of seeing a problem..i mean come on show numerous problems so we can get it! I wish he handed out packets! maybe if i write this on here he will do it!!!!!!! i hate the book it sucks!
This guy is great! He's the most down to Earth prof. at SFC. He teaches basic math courses.. they aren't hard. You have to go to class, but you get a guaranteed +5 on every test if you just do the Extra Credit (and he is a picky grader). I'd go to class just to hear his jokes and stories. I'd take Mr. McGraw for all my math credits if I could.
He is really a great teacher. He was always very helpful, and I hope that I get him again for college algebra. I am not very good in math at all, and he really helped me out....I STRONGLY recommend him to everyone! :)
Mr McGraw is very straight foward, homework and attendence aren't required but it's a good idea to do both. He has very flexible office hours and is always willing to help. Over all he's a great teacher!
I dunno why someone here called him an A- hole. He is a good teacher and he keeps the class interesting with stories. He is always willing and availible to help and is an overall good guy. He gives extra credit, but he is a picky grader when it comes to test. Homework is 15% and attendance is 10%. I would recommend him to anyone. Great teacher.
HE IS A GREAT TEACHER.COME TO CLASS BECAUSE ATTENDANCE IS 10% OF YOUR GRADE. DO YOUR HOMEWORK, AND COME TO CLASS WITH THE QUESTIONS YOU DID NOT GET AND ASK HOW TO DO THEM BECAUSE THE TEST COME FROM THE HOMEWORK. OVERALL IT WAS AN EASY CLASS.
where to begin with mr. mark mcgraw? well, to be completely honest, the guy is a wacko! Talks about his dead grandma more than he talks about math! Tries to make jokes =NOT FUNNY! Wait until you hear about MRDUCKS! Funniest joke all year! I would recommend another teached but this guy sure is entertaining! He looks like an older Will Ferrell!
HOTTEST TEACHER AT SANTA FE! However, he likes to make you feel inferior! Calls Santa fe Santa PLAY! HE wears his shirts to short so you can see his stomach during class, kinda distraction cause he's sexy! ;) I dropped the class because he is a looney toon! Save yourself while you can and DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS! unless you just want some eye candy
i think that he is an awesome teacher great personality easy to relate to willing to help u after class gives u a cheat sheet to help on test attendance is very important only thing i wish he graded homework and gave a few quizzes instead of sololy grading us on test would recommand him
Took studio version. Not too much was actually taught during lecture, but only had it once a week. Class was really easy because the online program showed you how to do everything. Didn't do any homework outside of class because there was plenty of time during studio. I recommend taking the studio version if you're OK with doing online math.
Hard class and he teaches it in a very direct manner. Tough, but offers as much help as you want. Strange guy, but I'd say take him, because although he's tough, as long as you have the work ethic to pass, he'll do what he can to help you. But If you're taking the studio section of the class, you won't need the book. Don't waste your money on it.
Important tip: whatever he writes on the blackboard goes on the test!
Great professor. Extreamly helpfull, gives lots of extra credit, all around good teacher. You want this professor!!
He is a really good teacher with a great personality, easy to understand, and really helpful. he always makes the class interesting with his good mood and makes students stay active. He will be always there to help you if you have a doubt.
McGraw is awesome! He is by far my all-time favorite teacher! Very helpful, great personality! Highly recommend him to anyone! Lots of extra credit! Always smiling!
He's pretty easy! And he does a good job teaching! But if your good at math...the class is a little dry! And homework isn't a grade, so if you know what your doing you'll do fine!
I took the studio course for this class and it was great. It was a big help because it had tools to help you understand the problems if you got stumped. You have one focus group session a week so you will be able to ask questions if you need to. He also is a lot of help if you go by his office and is always willing to help. Overall he's a great.
Attendance is 15% of your grade which has saved me so far! I hate math and and it was my 3rd attempt but he kept it interesting with his jokes and theories. He is constantly giving out extra credit points that go on your test! His notes are decent but he doesn't give too many examples which made it a little harder for me. No partial credit either
Great professor! Negatives: No partial credit, 15% class grade based on attendance. Positives: Loves his job, clear teaching style, extra credit available on each test, homework not graded, is incredibly available to help students out of class. Very nice guy too, makes his class entertaining, IF you're there to work and participate. Recommended!
Take the studio course for this class! It's way easier! McGraw was an awesome teacher! He was very fair and always helped out! The studio has 3 Tests, 2 homeworks and 2 quizzes due each week online. Come to the focus group every week! Keep up with studio attendance, and always take the review quiz for the tests and your guaranteed an A! Hes awesome
he is nice guy. he has a good attutidue but he gets off topic very easy. i struggled through his class. he seems more concerned with not running out of clasas time then actually making sure everyone understands the material. ABSOLUTELY no partial credit on anything.
Mr. McGraw was a great teacher!! He is funny, serious, and cares about his students!!
Great professor! Funny guy who loves math! I enjoyed going to this class and listening to him talk just because of his humor. However, be prepared to study and understand the material. Only three exams and a final, meaning only four grades in the grade book. Attendance counts as a test grade, and you can get extra credit almost every day.I got an A
He is a great person and has a great sense of humor. But if you are coming into this class and haven't had prior math before be prepared to study constantly. He goes through the material fairly quickly and is more concerned with time. Attendance is mandatory. DONT GET SICK, he wont excuse you.
Mr. McGraw is an good teacher. He tries to make class not boring with his humor. He makes time to take to you if you did not get it in class. He uses different color chalk to seperate ideas & tries to use visual aides so if you're a visual learner he can help you. He only teachers in mini-mesters now due to slowness of regular term.
Took him for Summer A Studio. Made an A. Very helpful and approachable. Always smiling. A little rushed in focused group. If you are not an independent learner, you may struggle a bit.
Do not take this professor online, he is not willing to help or take time to explain things in emails. He said the author of the book worked on it for years and it should be easy to understand. He may be a great professor in the classroom but not online.
Can be pompous and condescending. Wears an education "badge" on his sleeve. Dresses so casually, it's distracting. Has the teach it once, and that's it mentality. Strangely, he feels you should know it already. You are in college, smarten-up already. I do not recommended this instructor.
Professor McGraw was very helpful and encoraging. I ended up with a D+, but surley would have failed had it not been for him. I am normally a great student, but I just could not wrap my head around the material. He did his very best!! I loved using MyMathLab since it was an online course.
I had McGraw for Spring 2010 College Algebra. Though he was slightly scattered, I found his teaching style helpful & fun. He gave bonus points for putting up Q&A on the board and was very willing to assist students who visit his office. Math takes a certain amount of attention in order to succeed, no matter who teaches it.
I took College Algebra with him, He is an awesome teacher, explains really clear, funny, and gives extra credit for many things! His tests are really easy, and hwk helps a lot! If you want to learn math in an easy way and get a good grade, consider him as your teacher!
I had a great experience with McGraw although I took the math studio class with him. He's very funny and helpful but you have to be willing to take the time and effort to pass the class! However, I spent a lot of time in his office for help and that's why I pass because he took the time to help me! Great instructor!!!!
A difficult professor that didn't really teach what was on his tests. He assigns a lot of mandatory quizzes and homework that you must do. He dresses very casually and makes explicit comments in class. The worst part about this class, is that there are many ways to fail. I promise getting a 69 or lower on a single tests results in a failing grade.
CourseCompass is a pain for the online course but he's very helpful, emails extra material to help with hw, usually online and replies promptly to questions. Exams must be taken at the math studio but he allows plently of time.
Currently attending his class. Course compass sucks but its demanded regardless of prof. I find him to be an excellent teacher. He is fun and relates what he is teaching to tangible things which in algebra is what helps me succeed. For many people this is the kind of teacher that will make algebra make sense. Highly reccommend McGraw!
He is off topic constantly and the class has little structure. Also, not all math professors use MY MATH LAB. He, however, solely uses the program. If you want a professor who says things like: "You should already know this by now" and uses my math lab as the primary basis of teaching, then McGraw is perfect, not if you prefer clear lectures.
never opened my book for this class. insists we should have already known everything, doesn't take time to go over what he is teaching or the usage of the calculator, STAYS off topic. spend maybe 25-35 mins touching on new material then leave confused and expected to have it done when only scratching the surface. avoid if possible!
Nice guy, pretty funny. But if you are a visual learner I would not recommend his class. Asking him questions one on one is very helpful but independently is a challenge since notes are hard to make during class.
Very unprofessional. I saw more of his gut in class then I think I should have.... Often says things like "You should know this", about things he has not taught. Also, I did not appreciate his random Christian commentary. Withdrew despite my decent grades because I did not care for his chaotic, unorganized, and unprofessional teaching style.
Took for mat1033. Extremely helpful and humorous. Does expect you to pay attention and will call you out if you're not. Overall awesome prof.
Professor McGraw is extremely helpful. If I leave class confused I just go to office hours where he is more than willing to help as much as possible. Attendance isn't mandatory but you're not permitted to make-up in class work. Make sure you have TI-83 or 84, you will use it! Course still in progress, will return after to post final comments.
McGraw is a decent math teacher, he is thorough going over issues that students have (as long as they speak up) and between lectures and the homework help online, you don't really need the text book at all. He's really picky about details in quizzes, though! Pay attention, do homework and quizes, and you'll do fine in this class.
algebra is a computer course and the way its done is pretty rigid. He helps as much as he can but the course is the same no matter who you have.
Awesome teacher. I have never been good at math and in his class i didnt make below an 80 on a test. ive never done that before. he is SUPER helpful and does his best to keep you focused. Taking him for Stats next semester
Teaches thoroughly and makes sections I've learned prior to this class much easier to understand. His tests are very fair...show up to test reviews and you should be fine... Lowest grade I got on a test was a B. Attendance not mandatory but will determine if he rounds your grade in the end. Also, good sense of humor!
He is very helpful and wants to see all his students pass. He will make it easy on you to make an apointmen with him no matter if it is a question on your overall grade, something he has just tought, or even to clear up any confusion you may have on an assigment. Also He is very funny.
Excellent professor. He was extremely thorough with the content and he made it easy and fun to understand. He did get a little off-track with anecdotes and stories about his childhood but overall he was great! A+ you go professor McGraw
My favorite teacher at Santa Fe. He really honestly loves his job to the max. Enjoys talking to his students, ask for help if you need it. You should receive an A as long as you try.
Great professor! easy homework and quizzes.. Test are hard but if you study you'll be fine! Drop the 4 lowest quizzes a
First off let me say I HATE MATH. Prof. McGraw is the teacher to take if u want a laid back note taking class. During most lectures he pauses to tell a funny story about his life. he keeps the atmosphere in the room fun and upbeat. he gives easy extra credit opportunities such as erasing what he wrote on the board or writing an answer. TAKE HIM!!
McGraw is such an easy teacher. The class is mainly all online work with a few worksheets here and there. I got by with an A without even trying. He's a nice guy and kind of funny. He taught my class how to juggle when discussing parabolas. I would take him again if I had to.
Awesome teacher! Failed this class the first time (forget the teacher) with a D. Professor McGraw completely turned that around this time with all the extra credit points I got (up to 5 per test). He also takes baby steps when he teaches so he knows the majority of the class comprehends before he moves on. Overall loved it and would take him again.
Mr. McGraw is the best professor I have ever had. He is picky, but it helps you so much. I had no interest in algebra, but his passion for teaching and actually helping you turned that around. Now I see everything algebraically. He is very approachable, and EXTREMELY helpful if you don't understand. Good vibes. MUST TAKE!
Mr. Mcgraw is hands down an awesome math teacher I had him for MAT1033 MAC1105 and now Im gonna take him for PreCalc Alg. He is always there if you need help, gives extra credit and is super silly which makes the class fun! You wont fall asleep! Strict but in a good way and I suck a math, I passed with a B!
What a great math professor. I dislike math very much and he made it interesting. His side stories and jokes are nice to release the stress when learning something more complex. He also plays in a rock band, how cool is that! Dedicated professor.
Very good teacher. Highly recommend him for a teacher.
Pretty good teacher. If you do all your homework, and quizzes, you'll past the tests. He can get scatterbrained during lecture, and sometimes can get confusing. One you're in the lab however, he will explain everything to you, if you need help! Would recommend.
Math is by far my worst subject--typically an A/B student. I need math explained VERY plain and simple--McGraw was not the person for me. "Focus group" is spent with him talking about responsibility half the time--major dislike. Cuts out methods that work every time for shortcuts. I am not intuitive with numbers, making his style very difficult.
Mark McGraw is not a fitting college algebra. He makes the context much harder than it needs to be. I did not learn much of anything from him and I am barely squeezing by with a B. Had to teach myself the lessons. I do not recommend him to anyone.
I think he is a great teacher. Explains the information completely and thoroughly. He can sometimes be a know-it-all, but overall he's good at his job. There's not a textbook so you must go to class. Anyone who doesn't pass probably just isn't good at math or they don't care because he gives you many opportunities to improve your grade.
Although he is a pretty good teacher, he can sometimes jump around during lecture, which is confusing. During lab however, he will explain whatever you need help with. Plenty of opportunities for extra credit. Drops 4 lowest quizzes & homework's. Easy class, that will prepare you for college algebra!
Mr. MrGraw is the best math teacher I've ever had. I have been out of school for ten years and my background is very hazy. He helped me to understand the concepts and was welcoming during his office hours. It is important to go to class and to do the work, as with any class. I wish he taught other advanced math courses. I'd take him again for sure.
He is a good professor. He hasn't taught Precalc much but he is definitely a good teacher. As long as you come to class and do the homework you should be fine. Very helpful in office hours.
I struggle to agree with many of the reviews on this page. Passed his class, but only by teaching myself the lesson and getting much after class tutoring. Should not have to go one on one with a professor just to get basics. Uses many shortcuts, as others have said.
Professor McGraw is a great teacher. He is a teacher who REALLY teaches. Math is a hard subject for me and I ended up with a B in the class. He cares about his students and encourages them to spend time in his office if they needs extra help understanding this course. I highly recommend him for College Algebra.
Mr. McGraw is a math teacher that I stayed with till the end. I took intermediate alg. and college alg. with him and I recommend him to anyone, and Im really bad at math.. If you show you are trying he will ALWAYS help you out in any way possible. Always very motivational too. Best teacher ever!!
Mr. McGraw was an awesome teacher. I took him over summer for six weeks. He is very thorough when explaining, and will continue to explain till everyone understands. I had taken College Algebra the semester before and ended up withdrawing from another teachers class. His test are pretty easy too! As long as you know the material!
Great teacher, PROS: Willing to help, Clear explanation, Extra credit offered constantly, Vibrant and will keep your attention, Takes late work with little penalty. CONS: Lots of homework(this is college). Get him if you can.
He gets side tracked very easily and he spends more time telling life stories then he does teaching. His way of teaching is very confusing so the math tutors ended up teaching me me more than he did. if math is a hard subject for you i do not recommend taking him.
He is a really great teacher. He actually teaches you the material and wont go on to the next subject until he feels everyone's got it. He teaches in a way that makes it easier for you to understand a problem and always gives out bonus points.
If you want an A, take this professor
Better come prepared. Tests are tough and high volume. This professor explains material well and is enthusiastic about the subject matter. He gives a lot of extra credit and is very helpful. Even so I can not understate the difficulty of his tests they are long and many do not finish them.
Mr. McGraw is my favorite professor at Santa Fe! He has the biggest heart and is the nicest guy ever! He will help you for hours until you understand it. Material is somewhat difficult but if you take good notes and do ALL your homework you'll get a B+ or higher. I HIGHLY recommend him!! Love you McGrawster!
Professor McGraw is a funny and interesting instructor, he is very helpful and he gives the opportunity for extra credit. The tests are not easy, but if you work hard and do the work, you can easily make an acceptable grade.
Professor McGraw made PreCalculus seem easy. Any time you asked for help he would make time available to help you. I could not make any of his office hours so he would come in early. He is a great teacher!
Mr. Mcgraw is awesome he is extremely helpful offers alot of office hours support. He urges students to bring a binder to his class to keep your material organized, he offers some extra credit , and lots of advice about college as well. The quizzes and tests are online on my math lab, if you're taking him on campus DO-NOT MISS ANY STUDIO TIME!
one of the best Teachers at Santa Fe.
He was a very good instructor, funny, and very visual this made this class a lot more entertaining and easy to understand. He works with you and always give you feed back on your work. Plenty of chances to earn extra credit if you work hard enough for it. Also very understanding if you run into problems. Great professor highly recommend him.
I took his class this spring, and barely made it out. He gets off topic more than enough. He uses profanity a lot, and he is rude sometimes. He takes off A LOT points on everything (especially TEST) DO NOT TAKE HIM!!!
He's so funny corny cool you can't help but love him. But honestly he will help you enjoy math concepts you never thought you would. If you aren't ready for intermediate algebra take mat0028 first or you'll be lost and unable to grasp the material.
BEST MATH PROFESSOR EVER!!! He is the best! He definitely challenges you to think and write out answers in an exact way. He encourages students to talk to him about anything they may not understand. He's the funniest guy ever, he always gives extra credit, and he gives good life examples to help explain the concepts. This guy is amazing. TAKE HIM!
TAKE HIM IF YOU WANT TO LEARN AND PASS!
He was the best teacher and will always help you if you need it! However, some tests were hard. Make sure to study and do the work and you will pass.
He is a tough grader and takes off points for a lot of things on tests so write your answers the way he tells you to in class, gives some extra credit, always available if you need to go to office hours. Try not to just memorize how to do the math, but understand it as well because questions on tests are not structured the same as MML questions.
TOUGH GRADER!! I took him spring 2015. Does not give that many extra credit. Takes off a lot of points on test. If you are one point away from passing, he will NOT help you. He gets off topic as well. Take him at your own risk.
DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS! HE IS VERY RUDE HE GETS SIDE TRACKED! IN THE MIDDLE OF TEACHING HE WILL START TALKING ABOUT IRRELEVANT MATERIAL AND THEN TRIES TO JUMP BACK INTO THE LESSON! HE TAKES OFF TOO MANY POINTS ON YOUR TEST FOR SIMPLE THINGS. FOR EXAMPLE HE TOOK OFF 7 POINTS ON ONE QUESTION ON MY TEST! HIS TEACHING IS CONFUSING! DON'T TAKE HIS CLASS
Mr. McGraw is an entertaining teacher who will probably make you laugh at least once during class. What most people don't know is that he has little to no sympathy if you struggle with math. I took his summer class and saw him before the drop date and he told me he couldn't help me and didn't think I would pass so I had to withdraw. Tests are HARD!
He is not here for us students to pass, he just teaches and goes about his day. Takes off numerous points on tests and projects.
I really enjoyed McGraw as a professor. He gets off topic but it keeps class interesting. Hes really good at expaining the material and if you have a question he is really helpful. Don't be shy to speak out in class, if he sees you're putting in a lot of effort he will do the same for you.
DO NOT TAKE HIM!!!! He talks way too much about his personal life and skips around losing track of what he was just talking about. Makes this class completely confusing. I left knowing more about his 275 credit hour aerospace engineering degree then I knew about college algebra. This is the only class at Santa Fe that I received an F in!
Mark McGraw was an overall good professor. I took him for Summer A in a 6 week course, but definitely had to work for my grade. He is very helpful, but only if you make it a point to meet with him after class and show him that you care about what you're learning. DO NOT MISS CLASS AND DO NOT SLACK OFF or you will not pass. He takes Math seriously.
Mr. McGraw makes lectures fun with his great sense of humor. He really knows his stuff as he studied engineering. Also gives a lot of group projects. He's not the easiest math teacher at Santa Fe, but definitely take him if you're gonna go on to Trig and Calc. Probably stick with an easier professor if you don't plan on moving beyond algebra.
would not recommend unless you already know the material. even though the course material is determined by the math dept-he spends most of class talking about his personal life rather than teaching. then, the day before the exams he tries to cram weeks worth of lessons into one hour. he is a nice guy, but not a good teacher/professor.
Mr. McGraw is my all time favorite math teacher. He is so good at explaining the problems and helping you out it is very hard to fail. If you do your homework and quizzes you will pass the class and the tests. Very funny guy
Hard grader, but gives lots of extra credit.
Mr. McGraw is one of the best professors that I have had. He explains everything very well, and in different ways to make sure you understand the material. I would definitely recommend him and look forward to college algebra with him!
Good Professor! Gives extra credit and he genuinely cares about students and their grades. I would definitely recommend him !
He's an interesting guy. He makes everything really simple and easy to understand. He'll be really honest with you about whether or not you can pass the class. You really need to do the homework if you want to pass. He'll answer any questions you have.
McGraw gives good explanations on the subject but is an extremely tough grader and will take points off for small mistakes. He can be condescending when asked questions, but will answer them eventually. 4 tests, 5 projects and in class activitities. Take him under your own risk.
Mr. McGraw is a really funny guy & nice. He wants you to pass. He will help if you ask him. He likes the class to participate/answer questions & sometimes assigns groups for small worksheets. If you're committed to learning, you will. All in all, he's a great teacher & I would recommend him. (Especially if you're not great at math, like me.)
one of the worst professors i've ever taken. i highly do not recommend. he is scattered all over the place and thinks it is more important to tell life stories than actually teach us math. he should've paid for my 1033 class that i had to retake. if you don't like F's then don't take this guy.
Mr. McGraw is super nice and understands everyone is only there because they have to. He makes everything seem so easy. He drops the lowest grades for quizes and projects which is super helpful. the Projects he gives are basically paper homework, and they are really easy so just do them.
This is my second time taking this class. I wish I had taken it with McGraw the first time. He is a great teacher. You've to pay attention and attend class. I took him for Summer A along with two other classes and it was doable. Some homework, test weren't that hard. I sat up front and paid attention.
Highly recommend
Explains why the math makes sense instead of just how to do it. He is a tough grader but is happy to explain things over again and is helpful during office hours.
Amazing Professor! His lectures were entertaining and clear. He was really funny and genuinely cared about his students. He gave a lot of bonus points as well as plenty of opportunities for questions after the test. There is a lot of group labs that count towards your grade so don't miss class. I would definitely take him again!
Clear lectures, plenty of extra credit, and helpful if your willing to go to office hours.
I looked forward to this class everyday and I'm not a math person. Great teacher, will help you as much as you need outside class, gives a ton of extra credit. He will grade you toughly on your 3 exams, you just have to be precise and detailed. I would definitely recommend him for PreCalc.
This is the best proffessor that I have ever had. He explains the concepts very well. There is a lot of homework in the mathlab, but as long as you show up you should be able to do it in class. He always takes the time out of his day to help you if you need help.
I enjoyed Prof McGraw's class. He is funny and easy going but does not go lightly on his quizzes and tests. He makes class entertaining but expects you to know the material. He will happily answer questions and explain things further.
Such a terrible professor. We spent more time talking about poltics & his love life than actual math. 75% of grade is best off of tests. His tests are super hard. If you get a bad grade on the first one, you're practically done. So many people dropped this class. Very bad at explaining simple math.
Good professor. You must show up to pass. Your grade is almost entirely based off tests, but he is willing to help you with the material if you do not understand something. Can get off topic sometimes, but is passionate about math. He can get confusing sometimes during lectures, but just raise your hand and ask questions and he will explain it.
I am not very good at math, but I do fine in his class. Professor Mcgraw loves what he does hes always available to help you out of class. He always has a smile in class and is very energetic!
Mr. McGraw is a GREAT PROFESSOR! I hate math and his class makes me almost enjoy it. There are 3 exams (I have gotten A's on 2 so far, He takes all ?'s from the HW) a final, and a few quizzes thrown in there. He offers loads of EC. I suggest coming to class for lecture or you WILL NOT be able to do the HW because there's not a "help button"
Great professor. Easy class, with tons of extra credit opport. (5 e.c. possible for a test; 10 e.c. for a quiz that you turn on time before class starts). Quizzes are take home. Homework is easy, not very time consuming (1 or 2 hw assignment per week). Tests are based on hw. Prof answers questions in class and gives credit for asking and answering.
Prof McGraw is super upbeat and loves what he does. He explains concepts really well, and is happy to go over it from a different angle if students ask him to. Very accessible office hours. VERY particular about the details on tests, so be sure to pay attention when he tells how he expects things written and you'll do fine. Lots of EC!
He is nice and understanding but can be very confusing during the lectures. His notes are all over the place and he tries to cram alot of topics on just one test, which he won't give study guides for
Lots of extra credit offered, 1-5pts added to each exam. Horrible handwriting so if you are particular about legibility and organization this guy isn't for you. I spent most of my time learning in his office hours, during class he would explain why you use x instead of y rather than teach you how to complete your homework. Great guy, not a good prf
Don't let the reviews fool you, he takes off 3 to 6 points for the smallest thing, yeah you have extra credit but the five points are not worth it if you miss minor things on 4 problems and loose up to 24 points. Oh and its paper test so you can forget mathway.
Funny person, He rambles on about random topics then tries to cram a whole lesson in the last 15 minutes of class. Very very picky when he grades. the EC you get it mainly for you when make a small mistake which he punishes you quite harshly about it. I see the good reviews but maybe his summer classes are just a bit different,
Just beware of everything he says in class, and you'll be fine. He always say before any project his point off criteria. So, if you pay attention, you shouldn't lost those points that most of the people make him call "tough grader." This professor will make you understand math with logic, with all senses. Learning math by heart stayed in past.
Mr. McGraw is super funny and the class is easy if you show up. He cares a lot about if you understand the material and is more then happy to answer questions. Lots of homework and quizzes!!! Easy to pass as long as you get them done on time. Would definitely take a class of his again.
Took him for Intermediate Algebra and he prepared me well for College Algebra. Took Him again for College algebra because I liked his teaching style. Laid back and funny guy so he is easy to listen to. Lectures prepare you well for the homework which prepare you well for the tests.
I have never been bad at math before I took this class. He doesn't teach very well. When learning factoring, instead of teaching the A/C method, he taught us how to guess and check for 20 minutes. He is only accessible outside of class during his office hours and not email. The math program makes it hard for me to take a test.
This class was required for my major. I'm not a student who's strong in math. His tests are based off the homework. He gives you plenty of time to ask questions. Many opportunities for extra credit, but that doesn't help when he takes off points for every little mistake. Don't be fooled by his personality.
I have had the pleasure of knowing him for quite a few years now. One helluva great man. He has been teaching math for 28 years now, and still genuinely enjoys what he does, and cares for his students education. Math has ALWAYS been a severe uphill climb for me, but he makes going to his class enjoyable. Highly recommend taking him!
Amazing teacher, taking his class again next semester. willing to completely work out a problem with you to help out. Great guy
Awful professor. Doesnt lecture well, talks nonsense and wastes time. Grades VERY harshly, impossible to to get good grades on tests. Half my class dropped it after the first test. Dont take him.
So I've never been good at math but in his class I did very well... if you actually pay attention and take notes you will do good.. you cant half ass and expect to get a good grade. yes he has specific rules on exams but they are simple and if you follow them you will pass... if your looking for and easy lazy A he isn't the teacher but hes GREAT
Overall a great teacher but the class is set up to have lots of assignments.
McGraw is by far one of the best professors I've had. Math s boring, but he tries to make it as interesting as he can. He is very clear when explaining things. Accessible outside of class. He cares about his students and their success. I would take another class of his in the future.
I know NOTHING about math, but thanks to him I was actually able to learn something of value. Highly recommend taking this teacher. He does have an odd sense of humor.
Very nice man, knows what hes doing. really doesnt pressure you to participate which is great for shy people like me.
Great professor. He's lectures aren't bad . He really encourages office hours. If you go he will tell you what problems will be expected on tests(take advantage). A few group assignments. SHOW YOUR WORK! If you don't he will take points off! *Participation extra credit. *Ask to erase blackboard extra credit. 5pts of extra credit used on tests.
This dude is probably my favorite professor yet. Took him for intermediate algebra and then college algebra. He makes jokes all the time even though most are not that good, but you cant help but laugh. Show up pay attention ask questions if you dont understand something easy A. The man cares so much about every student and will help you whenever
Did not hand out a single review paper for the tests. He did not teach bc he expected you to know it already and if you didnt, then you shouldve got the hang of it 2 mins ago
Really great person and professor. Is very good at explaining things in detail and makes the class fun and interesting. Is really a class clown at heart and loves his students to succeed. Wish he taught higher level math classes 100% would take him again!
The best math professor Ive had. This was my second semester taking one of his courses and I wish he would teach trig and calc so I could take his class again!
I took two classes with this professor and he is the best math professor I have ever had.
Such an amazing teacher!!! Made it really easy to understand and will always describe how to do something if you are still having problems. 100% recommend. Also has a very odd but hilarious sense of humor.
Honestly my favorite professor at Santa fe college. Professor mcgraw truly cares about his students and goes above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed to pass his class. Taking his online course, he gave in depth explanations and just enough assignments to make sure I knew everything for the test! Definitely recommend him!
Very discouraging teacher. His material was hard, but with the help of a tutor I felt like I understood it until test time came and the material was different from the review with things I had never seen. When approaching him for help and guidance, he was anything but helpful and frankly offended me as he was highly encouraging me to drop.
This class is challenging to take online, but Professor McGraw incorporates interesting tactics that allow the students to learn together. We had weekly group projects or activities, and he incorporates discussion posts that allow students to participate for extra credit and hopefully, learn something new. Overall, I had a pleasant experience.
Doesn't matter if you like math or not. Mark is a "realist" and breaks the criteria down in simplest form.
To this day his class is the only one I've gotten a C+ in. Mark would take off points for the most comically minuscule stuff and proclaim ad nauseam he is holding you to a "college standard" despite being immature himself. He talks about Alex Jones tier conspiracy theories and gives "Gary Ridgeway" vibes. I doubt his "admirers."
