I had him for Chem 101 Fall '08 and he's one of the better Chem teachers at Bucks. He allows you to do test corrections to boost your grade, his tests are pretty easy, straightforward, no curveballs. He may be a little pushover but he accepts late work and answers all questions, no matter how stupid they may be.

He is an awesome professor. yes you do have to teach yourself which can get stressful at times but he always finds ways to help you understand. he gives many oppurtunities to get better grades. the hw questions are the test do them and your good. if you are somone who works hard and likes a little challenge than take him. again awesome professor

His style of teaching is very different, he uses a lot of group work and you do worksheets basically the whole class and he lectures a little bit. On the upside he allows you to do test corrections and earn half your points back and he lets you bring in a card with information for the final. i like him but some students don't.

He does have a different style of teaching but it fits the class and you really learn a lot, the test are pretty much on everything he covered in class so there are no surprises, just come to class and really try to understand everything

CHEM 102 is not an easy course, but Dr. Michalovic makes the course material very clear and does everything he can to help you succeed. I particularly like his group/team learning approach and the the 2nd chance at answering incorrect test questions for 50% credit.He is very cordial and knowledgeable, and, always happy to answer any questions.

Mr. Michalovic is a fun teacher but is all over the place with his lectures, he does a lot of jumping around which can sometimes be hard to follow. You focus a lot of class work. He types up activity packets to do every week. Labs are a huge part in this class also. Mr.Michalovic is very precise.

I enjoyed this class, it was a good introductory course for me. If you have any questions ASK Mark WILL help you! He enjoys what he does which maks learning easy. He is an old fashioned teacher meaning he teaches and you need to study NOT get a pre exam handed to you which is in fact the exam as a reveiw. I would take him again in a heart beat!

He is by far the best teacher I have had thus far. He gives handouts each lecture and you work in groups on them. He breaks the material down so you understand it. Great Teacher! I took him in 2010 spring, the class was in the rohm haas plant. He was helpful and you can tell he loves his job and subject! Highly reccommend him!

Mr. Michalovic is a great professor, he helps alot and is very lineant, advice is to come to class on time everyday and make sure you listen and understand. Ask and he will respond. Chemistry is a really tough course to understand but he tries his best to make it as easy as possible for us to understand, i got an A. A MUST TAKE!! u will love it.

I enjoyed the class. I did not like how every test is all the chapters you have done up to that point on one test and the tests do not have many question on them so it is important that you know the stuff. He made labs fun, a cool analogies from fun stuff to chemistry.

He was always respectful, he is very knowledgeable, and genuinely wants his students to learn and is committed to helping them get there! Can't wait to have him again for Chem B!!!

The class is fun and not hard at all. Some of the students droped and I was like,' What the hell!'. The work load on ok, but you need to study to pass. Anyway, not being good in chem, I consider this class fun and not hard. Also, he is a good grader. Take this class, its not that scary.

Clear lectures that help explain the basics of chemistry. Friendly professor, encourages questions and student interest. Some of the labs can be work intensive, while others are easy - the lowest lab score is dropped. He takes the potentially daunting subject of chemistry and makes it very manageable, and even fun.

I was very scared to take chemistry. Turned out to be favorite teacher by far. Extremely helpful. He gives out lesson plan and activities during class and is very clear on what you need to know and will answer any questions. He makes it very interesting. Gives you plenty of opportunities to better your grade. I have all A's in his class!

I don't understand why professor Michalovic has some bad reviews. I thought he was a great professor with good intentions. He gives group work every lecture and for the tests he allows you to correct what you had wrong the first time. This class was not difficult at all with professor Michalovic

I had a blast in this class. Dr. Michalovic is a great teacher and funny. He makes a lot of puns, but they really go over the heads of most students. He made me wish Chem 102 was required for my major so I could take his class again. Makes his own handouts, hw is optional & I didn't need the extra help so I bought the book and used it 1 time.

Dr. M is the best! I feel like the bad reviews have to be about a different teacher, he is the most helpful teacher I have ever had and certainly doesn't fail anyone who doesn't deserve an F....if you can't pass this class maybe try basic chem again...

Highly recc taking his CHEM classes! I was so worried about Chem after 7 years since HS but he explains the material in a clear, thorough & interesting manner! He has a dry, witty sense of humor which livens up his lectures. His exams are just like his lessons, so DO THEM! And he offers ALOT of ex credit! TAKE DR. MARK, you won't regret it!

Dr. M is easily the best educator I have ever encountered in my life. Brilliant man who has absolutely no problem with explaining unbelievably complex topics to you, even on his own time. Tests are reasonable if you study, and labs are the same. Do the homework he assigns and you'll do fine. Wish the department would let him teach Organic too.

Dr M is a great professor, he lays everything out clearly only 4 exams including the final and labs, he also allows test corrections to earn back 1/2 points which defiantly helped! he explains things in the most simple way for everyone to learn from,was nervous since chemistry is hard but pay attention, do the group work and you will be fine!

As this semester is coming to a close, I'm really sad this chem class is ending! Dr. M is truly a wonderful professor who cares about his students, and is there to help you along the way. His test are fair game study and they will be a breeze! Labs are fun just make sure you read the labs before the lab class. If you want to do well take Dr. M!!

Great professor! you will not regret taking Dr. Michalovic. Took him for Chem 101 and 102 and passed with an A. We Barely used textbook in his class. Study the fundamentals of chemistry from his handouts and you will pass with an A. Labs are easy too. You can do test correction to and receive half points back. Goodluck

Dr. M is a great professor. You barely have to read the confusing text for the class, because he constructs his own section handouts that allow you to learn it all. You can do test corrections on tests to make up half the points that you lost! Dr. M is very understanding and works with students if they need special help.

His chemistry class is not easy but he does give you all the info you need to get an A. He gives lots of extra credit and test corrections. I really liked him. He was helpful, clear, and nice.

Professor Michalovic really cares for his students and wants to see them succeed! He is always there for help, so if you need it, GO! Each test is cumulative with the ones before which can be hard but if you know your stuff you'll do great. He can be annoying in lab, but all around great professor. Never opened the textbook. He does assign optional homework from it to help you practice what he's teaching, but he's so clear during his lectures that I didn't need to practice. Puts chemistry in simple terms in order for you to grasp it. Tests were fairly easy. Easy "A" in my case.

Chemistry is a tough class but Professor Michalovic makes it clear and easy. You will have to read and study to pass this class,but he gives ample extra credit and the tests are easy if you study. This was my very first CHEM class and I enjoyed it a lot! Dr. M was always willing to help his students and his lectures are crystal clear. I love his teaching method and made the class time fly by. There were a lot of group activities but this will help you! Its a good idea to do all the homework assigns that are given. Highly recommended!

Awesome teacher even better guy. Entertaining lectures, interesting homework assignments, tests are straight forward. Allows for test corrections which not only help your grade but solidify info needed as all tests are cumulative. One of the best teachers I've ever had in 5 years of school.

You can tell Dr M is really smart & very serious about Chem... but at the same time he really cares about students! He teaches by lecturing, writing notes on the board & w/ packets he made up for each unit which are completed in groups& reviewed. Tests were not too difficult& if you correct them you get half points back. My favorite teacher ever!

Dr. Michalovic is a wonderful teacher and a wonderful man. Not only did he make learning fun and engaging, he also cared individually about all of his students. His tests are very easy, and he also allows for test corrections, which give you half credit for every corrected question. If you don't get an A in this course, it's not because of him.

I've only had him for about 1mo, but so far I can tell he genuinely wants to help students. Super professional and never makes you feel dumb for asking any question. But he does kind of suck at explaining things, which makes his group-style classes helpful. I'm not sure yet about allowing test corrections but keeping my fingers crossed. Good luck!

A very efficient and reliable professor. Encourages group work regularly with packets, which are very helpful. Assertive with what he expects from you, but not aggressive. Likes to make jokes occasionally but is ultimately very genuine and serious in his efforts to help you learn. One of the best of the best there is in CHEM professors.

Don't bother buying a textbook. everything you need to pass the class is in the packets he passes out and in the lab book you buy. He explains everything is clear, easy to understand terms. It had been 6 years since i had chemA and i had no problem receiving an A. If you are having trouble he will go out of his was to help you.

Genuine person who really wants students to succeed. Most of the class is spent in groups, so make sure to find some good people to work with. The packets he gives out are very helpful. Tests are tough, you need to study, but he lets you correct your tests to get some points back. The online homework is probably the worst part of this class.

Awesome professor! I highly recommend taking him. I was really nervous to take Chem B because the last time I took Chem A was 3 years ago. He was awesome he made it easy to understand. All the test material are from the packets he gives you just study the packets and you will do just fine. If you need help, go to him for help! Easy A.

I took Dr. Michalovich for Chem B. He is an awesome teacher and cares about his students retaining information. He gives you a chance to get a higher grade on tests by letting you correct your wrong answers receiving half the points back. I learned a lot from his class and still remember a good amount from his class.

Michalovic is not an easy A. He is better than most chem professors though because he will actually take time to help you with the material. His tests are difficult but not impossible. You won't see stuff on the test that he didnt show you. But you do have to study the material to do well. Overall he is very fair with such a diifficult subject

Mark is an amazing chemistry professor. For many students it's a very difficult subject but he is very clear about the material and work you have to do. There were no surprises while taking his class. The only gripe I have is that sometimes when challenged the last thing you think about is sig figs but he makes a big deal about them with points.

Don't be afraid of the 'group work' aspect of this class. I for one, HATE, group work but his teaching method works wonders. Chemistry has always been difficult for me but his lectures are clear and mixed with doing the work simultaneously. Always has pre-tests available which help A LOT. I didn't end up using the book very much. Great teacher.

He's pretty straight forward and is understanding as long as you communicate with him. Always willing to help if you have difficulty.

Dr. Michalovic does a great job removing the "fear" associated with college chemistry. He is very straightforward, fair, and wants you to do well. He provides his own lesson packets, promotes group activity, and has practice exams online. Be prepared to work very hard outside of class, and read the textbook. Seriously, it's a game-changer.

I took Dr. Michalovic for Chem 102 and he was great and teaches well. Although It is a lot of material and can get very challenging, he always does his best to make sure everyone is on the same page. If you learn best by being in groups, I recommend him. He's accessible out of class and is willing to stay after class for extra help. He's kind too!

He seems invested in handling any issues a student might have with the class. Just be focused and ask him for help when needed and he will do his best. Recommended.

You can message Dr. Michalovic via email if you have a question and will always respond quickly, but will ask you questions to answer your own questions. His lectures are minimal and the rest is group work where you'll do lesson packets during class time. His grading is generous but all open ended. Significant figures are very important.

I last took chemistry during covid times and learned nothing Dr. Michalovic would be the prof for you because his lectures make sense and if you read the book you will do fine. While attendance is not mandatory, you will NOT pass this class if you do not attend the lectures, the textbook is technical and occasionally vague, you NEED the lectures to understand the material. He's very good at explaining material that at first seems incomprehensible. He wants you to pass his class, talk to him if you're struggling.

Dr. Michalovic is great and he's always available to answer your questions. He replaces your lowest score with your final if you do better at it so he always offers chances for you to improve your grade. As long as you do your work and put in the effort you'll be fine. Attending lectures and doing the practice exams he offers are soooo helpful.

I took Dr Michalovic for chem 2 in fall24, he was really good at lecturing, but the lectures don't prepare you for homework (which is on canvas so no explanations) and the homework doesn't prepare you for exams. His exams are brutal, over 2 hours, one took my section close to 4 hours! Lab reports are easy. Nice guy, but I wish he could write exams
