Dr. Moberg is really an amazing teacher. He makes the subject interesting and keeps the students enthralled. I will definitely try my damnedest to get in more classes with him for the sake of my GPA.

Inspiring, articulate, and involved. His classes have changed the way I view the world. Not bad looking, either!

One of the best professors on this campus. He made what could have been a dry course come alive instead. Very liberal and highly outspoken, but his opinions are always informed and he is always willing to listen to other viewpoints. Highly recommended!

Very helpful in and out of the classroom. Very clear on what is on the test and very laid back.

I took this class for an elective and it was my favorite class ever. He makes everything so interesting and if you come to class and take notes you can do well in there.

Moberg is an awesome Professor. Part of me regrets leaving South, just because of this man. Hey Dr. Moberg!!!!!!!

He is one of the best teachers I have had here at the university. He is funny, a great teacher, and really has a love for the subject and I think that makes the class even better.

He's a clear teacher. But I wish he'd keep his liberal views to himself. I didn't go to college to learn about all the problems of the world.

Don't let his Hawaiian shirts fool you. This is no "slackers paradise". To get an A or B on tests you need to come to lectures and take careful notes. He doesn't talk about readings, but they will be on the exams. Moberg's a great professor--funny, approachable and never pompous. Some people seem irritated by his left wing opinions. Too bad!

Great professor, has alot of energy and passion about his teachings. He has a great sense of humor too. I am conservative politically, but enjoy hearing the liberal point of view on things once in a while. I really enjoyed him as a professor and his study guides covered the material on the test almost completely. Plus attendance is optional.

Wonderful professor. As long as you take notes and skim over the readings you should do fine in his class. He's so excited about what he teaches and it makes you excited about it too

You had to either go to class or get lecture notes, reading was required, but lecture did the most proof on the tests. He's not super easy, but he is able to relate the information and keep your attention while he jumps around the stage and decided on what kind of number system he should use. I would take him again in the future.

Dr. Moberg is an excellent teacher and so fun to learn with. His sense of humor is awesome and thankfully liberal. He is very knowledgable on the subject of anthropology and beyond. He made me want to major in anthropology and defiently do field work! Take hime-it will be the bedt class youll take in college by far.

Dr. Moberg is a good teacher and is very knowledgable in every aspect of it. I personally found the class boring, but only because I have no interest in the subject. He doesn't take role, but test come primarily from the notes. I would recommend him for anyone that had to/wanted to take the course.

Professor is great. He will go off on a side story from time to time but gives much information. Does not take roll but tests are 70-80% Lecture notes. Does not repeat reading in class. For those with the oppurtunity to take him please do. It will be one of your more enjoyable classes even if its not your interest.

Dr. Moberg is great! I can't remember when I looked forward to a class like I did to his. His enthusiasm is a big plus! He is patient with questions and gives plenty of opportunity for extra credit even if it is not needed. He presents things in a "fun" way and in college that is good. Take him and you won't regret it!

HE IS AWESOME!! He makes Anthro so interesting i almost changed my major. His exams are half lecture/half text. Be aware you must be in class if you want an A.

Took him online... LOTS OF READING! Must complete discussion question, 500 word essay, and timed T/F test (it was 5 minutes, but he changed it to 10 when we asked b/c it was not enough time). It was alot of work, but he is very helpful and very nice. Made an A, but barely and there was no extra credit. It was challenging but interesting too!

This guy knows his stuff. He's an excellent teacher and you will learn the material. Not only does he give you facts but he relates them to his own personal stories. Very funny guy

Simply put, he's awesome. Lectures aren't mandatory, but I'd recommend them not just because they come up on your tests - they're just really interesting. This is the kind of teacher who makes you think about changing your major. Tests are multiple choice and you get study guides in advance.

I have had him for Intro to Cultural and Political Anthropology. He is a very exciting and interesting teacher. Lectures and readings can be a bit tedious, but he really tries to make it interesting. Pay attention to lectures, take notes, and read in order to do good on the tests.

My FAVORITE professor! He's really enthusiastic about what he does and gets you really excited about his subject. The notes are easy to take during lecture and study guides are given prior to each exam. Hardly any extra credit though. Take him! Promis you'll love him!

His test are all multiple choice if you study the study guides you can make an A or B no problem. He makes lecture pretty interesting he HATES when phones go off but he is a pretty nice guy! He gives bonus questions on every test as well!

I feel bad for you if you go through college without a Moberg class or two. I took every class available from him. Attendance is never required but he makes you want to go because his lectures are just so interesting. He is extremely intelligent and will crack you up. I love his classes!!

Efficient, thorough, clear, engaging, entertaining as hell. He tells fantastic stories about his own field work, and applies his own experience to the subject well rather than directing everything to his life. Go to class and you'll be set for an A.

All you have to do is go to every class. The tests come from the notes. He even puts his notes from his online class up so you can read them. You still need to go to class b/c it's way more info in those notes than really needed. I haven't studied for a test yet in his class and I have an A in his class. TAKE HIM, YOU WILL BE HAPPY..!!!!!

If you haven't taken a Moberg class yet, now's the time to do it! He's so funny and so nice.. Not to mention, his class is really easy if you just go to class and pay attention. It's interesting stuff too. This (AN 100) counts for one of your history credits, so just take it!

Very energetic and nice guy, but there's no clear way to predict what's going to be on the test as far as the reading assignments go. Questions are fairly tricky as well. That wouldn't be a problem if it wasn't about village people in thongs.

He reminds me of a Sims character. He lectures with his hands and gestures. Took him a long time ago, but I remember the class was fun. Attendance not mandatory - but you'll want to go anyway. He HATES Starbucks - says its too corporate. Very funny, and loves his work. So you'll love it too!

Very engaging. Moberg is smart, entertaining, articulate and ... sexy, for a middle aged man. Highly recommended!

I took Moberg for AN 357, 358, and 454, and I wish I could have taken more courses with him. He turned out to be my favorite professor at any college. He's extremely knowledgeable and helpful, and he succeeds at making his lectures entertaining. Academia needs more professors like him. Thanks, Dr. M!

Moberg is really good. I took this class as a req, not expecting to like it, but as the semester went on it was the only class I looked forward to attending. Prof is down to earth, funny, doesn't take himself too serious and is smart as hell. Good looking, too.

This class is graded by only 4 tests. You don't have to go to class but I recommend going. Listening to him lecture helps you understand the notes he posts online. He's a great guy:funny,likes to tell stories and has amazing energy. <3 learning from him!

Moberg is a great teacher! He really enjoys what he does. I thought this class was going to be boring, but he made it so interesting! There are only 4 tests and nothing else, but the tests are very easy if you study and he gives a bonus question on each one. I would definitely recommend him!

Dr. Moberg is FANTASTIC! He is very funny so he keeps class interesting. We are only graded on test but as long as you study your notes and read the chapters assigned you will do fine. I would recommend him to anyone.

He's a good professor who cares about anthropology and is happy to share his experiences. Take good notes, use the ecompanion/ecollege site, and study the terms fro each exam. Also, read the articles from the textbook on his study guides, and you should make an easy A.

One of the best professors I've ever had. He's clear, never condescending, and will bend over backward to help you. One of the nicest guys.

I can't express how amazing Dr. Moberg is. He can be quirky and go off on little tangents sometimes, but you can tell he's passionate about teaching this subject and he's just so adorable. He'll help clarify and explain, and just makes it all interesting. Attendance isn't mandatory, but I recommend going because his lectures help you understand!

Best Teacher EVER. I have a morning class with him and I actually look forward to going. He is great at what he does and is just so enthusiastic. He tells funny stories too. If you need an easy, fun anthropology class take him! The tests come straight from the notes (that you can find online). No other work than studying for the tests.

For an online class there was a lot of work: every week there 2 or 3 articles in primary sources, quizzes, threaded discussion, and then four papers on top of it. The best part were the lectures, which were Moberg's new textbook in galleys. He's a wonderful writer and the book made a dry topic engaging. Not so good answer e-mail.

Great Professor! Funny, interesting, easy to listen too, and knows his information. If you come to class and read the sections he tells you to, you will have an A. I really enjoyed his class.

This class is very interesting and Dr. Moeberg knows his material and is passionate about his work. Study the lecture and the readings and it will be an easy A!

FAVORITE CLASS EVER! I wish I could take it again! He is by far the funniest, most interesting teacher I have ever taken. He gives study guides, and you must know what's on them because the tests aren't super easy. He gave lots of extra credit chances! Never took attendance, but I wanted to go to every class! All notes are online. Same as in class!

I took this class online over the summer. Be prepared because it is a lot of work, which is expected with any summer class. There was a lot of reading to do every week. As well as participating in a forum as well as writing papers every week. Not really a hard class, just a lot of work to get done in a short amount of time. Great online teacher.

2nd Class with MAM. Lectures and textbook (his) kept you engaged. I would take a class from him every semester if possible!

I took him for An 101 intro to anthropology. its an easy a and I learned a lot. It was fun. Im in engineering, and I didn't think I would like the class but it was pretty fun. easy A Mucho studyguides

Puts all his lecture notes online and they have every thing you need to pass the class. But if you don't go you will miss the most incredible educational experience of your life. He is smart, hilarious, and very political. Don't expect him to stay on topic, but the tangents are worth the price of admission. Oh, and put your phone away. He hates it.

Dr Moberg is an excellent professor. He gives study guides before tests and lectures are online. You need to study but he makes that easy!

Dr. Moberg is one of the best teachers I have ever had at South. He never fails to make the class laugh and he has such a passion for anthropology. If I could take every class of his, I would. Ask about bananas, his cats, and his reptiles! :)

TAKE THIS CLASS! If you need a social science credit, then take this class. Dr. Moberg is one of the most interesting people I have ever met. He's super quirky but it makes his lectures easier to pay attention to. Attendance is not mandatory, his notes are all online, there's 3 exams and a final, and he gives extra credit opportunities. Easy class.

Dr. Moberg is my favorite teacher at the university. I took every class of his that I could. He is funny and has great stories that he uses as examples to help you learn. He really cares about his students, and if you show that you're making an effort to learn, he really takes notice.

Dr. Moberg is an amazing professor! Take his class; you wont regret it. I know I mostly definitely want to take another. He is super funny, kinda wacky, and just an overall great guy. His lectures are interesting, so are lecture notes. If you are someone who falls asleep in class don't worry about that with him. He has enough energy to share!

There is a lot of reading for the class that I don't really suggest skipping out on, but he usually summarizes them in class. Still read them (they're usually interesting anyway), but what and see which chapters are assigned on the study guide. You'll save a lot of time. I want to leave one of my fave Moberg quotes "Diversity is the spice of life"

If you want to laugh, this is your guy. He is hysterical, and his laugh is infectious. He makes the long class time worth it. The lecture material is rather dull, unless you're interested in it. You can tell he is really passionate about others and their culture.

Dr Moberg is just about the most passionate and evoking instructor Ive ever seen. He made anthropology fascinating, pertinent to today, and actually fun. His work load is very manageable and to be honest, because of his lectures, I wanted to do the homework. I was curious and interested to read more. Even if you dont need the class, take it!

I just took this summer course online and it's really an eye-opening class. There are no exams, just four reflection papers, a quiz & forum each week. There is a lot of reading in the class but as long as you do the readings you'll do fine. There is no extra credit assignments in the summer so don't ask & do your work on time.

Dr. Moberg is by far one of the most amazing professors I've ever had. he's incredibly passionate about what he teaches and he's a funny guy. He knows what he's talking about and his laugh is contagious. Would 100% recommend him.

The class is pretty boring because of the material, but Dr. Moberg is a great professor. He has more energy than the whole class combined. I will say that the tests are pretty difficult. If you're looking for an easy A elective class I would rethink this one. Your grade is just the 4 tests so if you don't do well on one, you're kinda screwed

Absolutely loved Dr. Moberg in Cultural Anthropology. He poses some serious topics and is great at encouraging students to think about tough issues. His course was very eye-opening to other cultures and really puts a new perspective on everything. He wasn't extremely difficult, and as long as you read his lectures (online) and participate, easy A!

I am taking Dr. Moberg right now. He is a great professor and I enjoy his class. Attendance is not mandatory but I'd recommend attending because the material he goes over in the lectures might be on the exams. There are only four exams so get good grades on all of them. A lot of extra credit is offered. He is very funny and jumps around.

A literal ray of sunshine that needs to be protected at all costs. I loved every second of his class because he is so passionate about what he does. Basically if you go to class and take notes and do the reading before the exam you will get an A. You will not regret taking this class.

TAKE THIS CLASS!! Professor Moberg is soo cool! He actually cares about his students and he makes this subject very interesting! I feel like I actually learned a lot in this class and it is far from boring! This class is organized and structured just right!

MAM (his initials of what he goes by) is a solid professor, I suppose. A lot of reading, but a class you can NOT get behind. Topic discussions + quiz every unit as well, with 4 total papers total within the semester. Some quizzes you can look up on Quizlet, but not all will be there. If you're a slacker, this is not the class for you. Trust.

Class work load was fair. Discussions are interesting, so it does not feel like a chore. Would suggest him to anyone and definitely would take again.

Took the class online; every segment being a discussion forum. All the discussions were always really nice, and his lectures were super fun to read. He often had personal feedback on discussion posts. His lectures were very fun to read. Super nice and fun prof to have!

He is fantastic. His AN 100 class is pretty easy and very interesting.

This was a theory class, so of course, it wasn't fun. Dr. Moberg is a great professor, however, and made me enjoy the class. This is a writing course so there were four papers and he is somewhat of a tough grader, but not really. Just one quiz and discussion post once a week. Very easy pass.
