Very easy professor, makes sure everyone does well.

He explained things very clearly and made the class fun.

If he were to slick his hair straight back he'd look like Christopher Walken in the "Prophesy" movies. But that's his only resemblance to the Angel of Death. He's very clear, has a sense of humor, teaches interesting stuff and gives easy tests. Wish I had taken more classes with him.

Very knowledgeable of subject. Lectures very organized. He is very helpful and easy grader. In-class group work very important to grade. Show up + review chapters + study study guides = good grade! His methods work!

He is probably the easiest teacher that I have ever had. I bought the book, but you don't need it. He gives you the content of what's gonna be on the tests in his lectures (he puts ++++ by test-related stuff) and he spits out extra credit randomly. He's funny too sometimes haha. Great teacher! I'm gonna take him for two classes next semester!

The easiest teacher EVER!! He give you the powerpoint, so you can just go home and print them out, there is no needs to take notes! A lot of extra point! The test is exactly the same as the study guide, even in the same order! Love the guy.

This class if SOOOOOO easy, it's not even funny. Do not buy the text, just take notes. But everything that is on the test is from the reviews that he hands out the day or two before the test. So you dont even need to take notes, I didn't and Aced the class. Easy A!

Here is the thing. The class is very very very very easy. If you can't pass his class, you will have much trouble if you are planning to transfer to a 4 year university. Since the class was so easy, I did not learn much about the subject. I would not recommend this to Psychology majors. I feel like the class only improved my memorization skills.

very very very cool teacher...all you have to do is show up for the reviews and test...another big help are the powerpoints he gives you on your usb...all you have to do is print the powerpoints out and you already finished majority of the class...very funny...a lot of extra credit avaliable...you have to be dumb not to pass this class...

One of the easiest classes I have ever had!!! At first it seems intimidating with the outrageously huge words but his test are taken straight from the group quizes!! You can download all of his powerpoint notes onto your flash drive, print them out, and never have to take written notes. Awesome teacher!!!! Would recommend to EVERYONE

Pauly is great. Just go to class(points for going), and listen to his lectures, take the group quiz, and then take the test. I Love this guy. I plan on taking all my psych classes with him. Do not need book.

DON'T BUY THE BOOK! If you go to class and take notes and get all the answers to the reviews [which he gives you] then that is all you need to pass his class. All the info you need for his tests can be found in the reviews done in class. He is a nice guy and knows about the subject. I recommend him!

He makes the class really simple. Lectures are super comprehensible and on top of that, if you miss a class he lets you have a copy of the powerpoints he lectured with. Tests based on lecture and he makes sure you have correct notes before hand. if you fail, you must be retarded because I had handicapped people in my class that got passing grades.

Mr. Pauly is VERY nice, super clear on what he is looking for on papers and on tests. He is very knowledgable and will answer any questions. One of my favorite teachers at VC!

Amazing! I absolutely loved this man. He was very down to earth, easy to understand, and especially knowledgeable. Sometimes it's easy to get a teacher that only knows the bare minimum about their field. Not Professor Pauley. Just make sure you show up to reviews. He lets you work in groups and then turn them in. On tests, the questions are verbatim from the review! Memorize them and you're golden!!

I'm taking PSY V03 and PSY V01 and both are very easy and fun. The tests for the PSY 1 class are broken into 2 days, so you only have to study 25 questions. The PSY V03 is online and you can have the notes right in front of you. There are two big papers in the psy 3, but I enjoyed learning and working on them. I highly recommend him

I love Mark Pauley, he is my favorite teacher! He's extremely nice and jokes around. I had him for PSYV01, V03, currently have him for V05, and V29 and will be taking him for V15. I wish he teached every subject. Take this class!!! Because of Mark Pauley my major is now Psychology, love him!

Extremely easy class, but I felt that it didn't hold my interest quite so much as it should have because I really didn't have to apply myself. Lots of extra credit available just for doing the bare minimum - I really doubt many people got less than an A. I will probably take more classes from Pauley in the future.

easiest class Ive ever taken. he gives you group quizzes (the answers to the quiz are highlighted in your notes) then gives you the answers once completed. the answers to the quiz are the test questions so as long as you study your quiz your golden. class was interesting and way easy

Everything is power points. Interesting class and fun. Took it in the summer and passed with an A. If u have a passing grade in the class u don't have to take finales. Professor Pauley gives powerpoints with highlighted sections that are the answers to the questions on the review sheets. You work on the review sheets with a group and then study off of the review sheets for the tests. As long as you study the review sheets, the tests are extremely easy. Mark Pauley is such an amazing teacher! Extremely clear with the instructions on assignments, nearly no homework. Simply do the reviews correctly, which you do as a group and he gives you the answers when done, study off of those for the test and you'll do just fine! Summer course was not challenging at all. Didn't even have to take the final.

Easy class-powerpoints online, test info always "++" marked so you know what to study, and he is funny and easy going as well. Only thing I didn't like was the group review we had to do at start of every class. Otherwise it is straight lecture with the occasional research paper info talk. Research paper due at end of semester but it's not too hard.

Loved this class by far one of my favorite. He is a great professor clear and very well structured. Group review daily which made you keep on track. Test were an easy A with daily reviews as study guides. Research paper sucked :( made me realize I need to get an English class next semester.

This course could have been overwhelming, but Mr. Pauley is crystal clear in expectations and due dates. The textbook is hilarious for some reason (I mean it's pyschology). In all, a very solid course.

He requires for you to submit a research paper. You will submit that research paper in parts which made it easier. He has precise written instructions to create a good research paper. Pauley is a very nice and helpful teacher. The online class is very easy. The only difficult part was the research paper, he assigns the project in parts and me on the other hand tried to do all of it at once! but again he is always available for help! do take him!!!

Great teacher and an interesting class. Attendance isn't that important to him, but in order to do well on the tests, you need to go to class. I did really well in this class and encourage anyone to take it!

I took this class online for Intro to Psych., and it was really simple. Be prepared to write short discussions about each chapter(s) given, write a research paper (but don't worry, it's broken down to parts), take 60 questions exams (easy as pie), and write four one-paged-essays about chapters not discussed in the class. Would take again!

Overall the class is really easy only complaint was the research project and there was a lot of work in this class but not hard to do and i thought his point system was pretty weird but overall i passed and i recommend taking him

He gives out awesome study guides that directly reflect the tests. The only struggle of the class is the research paper which he breaks up in pieces so it isn't too bad.

I liked this class. His instructions weren't always completely clear, but he was good about clearing it up for struggling students. His assignments are long and hard and the main assignment is basically creating a scientific paper without the experimentation and conclusion part, which was interesting, but time-consuming. Tests are easy. No final.

I took PSY V05 with Professor Pauley this summer and the class was great! All of the info you need for the course is available from day one. He responds to questionsemails quickly. Do the reviews and the tests will be a breeze. The research paper was tricky at first, but he will explain anything you have questions about. Easy A if you do the work.

Took this class on-line over the summer. I think I would've enjoyed it more in person. Lots of work, but easy. The most difficult thing was interpreting the written directions for assignments; this is where I feel like being in the classroom would've been most helpful. Complete study guides and tests are a breeze.

Mark Pauley is the best professor I've had so far in my college experience. He is extremely clear with expectations, the work load is broken down easily, and his dry humor and kindness made each class extremely fun. I left the semester with a great understanding of biological psychology and a literal 110% grade. After his classes I'm a psych major!

Wonderful teacher at VC, I had him for both PSY VO1 & PSY VO3 both classes are pretty much the same just one is intro to psychology and the other is biological psychology. He gives you an extra 10 points to your exams if you attend tutoring which I would recommend btw for a higher test score. I enjoyed both my semesters with Prof. Pauley take him!

Professor Pauley is one of the best professors I've taken at VC. He cares and listens to his students. If you're struggling and ask him for help, he will help you! I didn't have to take the final as he drops the bottom test including the final!

His instructions are not clear! You have a lot of papers to write and a lot of work . It's reasonable since it was a 4 week class. My advise it take the class so the extra credit! Cite cite cite!! And you'll do fine! Ask as many questions as u need to ask him and plan out your assignments!

Pauley is hands down my favorite professor at VC. He genuinely wants his students to pass and learn the subject. You need the book for a few projects but it's on reserve in the LRC so no need to buy it. If you do all of your outside assignments and show up to class you'll get an A. He's super chill.

He is a great teacher Only like 5 assignments through out the semester but you will need the book recommend to borrow or rent do NOT buy all tests are multiple choice do the in class reviews and you'll pass the tests no need to take the final if you have a good grade in the class by the end of the semester

He is gives a ton of extra credit. All of the in class assignments are done in groups so it's super easy to get extra credit. The in class worksheets have all the questions and answers that are gonna be on the exams so you don't even have to read the textbook. There are 4 exams and if you take all of them you don't have to take the final. Take him!

SUPER EASY ONLINE CLASS. We got extra credit points the first week of class. His powerpoints give you the answers to the study guides and the tests are almost identical to the study guides. Easy A forsure. A few simple homework assignments. I am taking him again for Dev. Psy.

THE MOST EASIEST SUMMER CLASS EVER TAKEN IN MY COLLEGE LIFE. SUPER SUPER EASY! EVERYTHING IS SHORT AND SIMPLE, GRADING IS EASY, GOT FULL CREDIT IN ALL MY ASSIGNMENTS. EASY A! 5 EXAMS TOTAL (50 questions each, 5th exam is 25 questions) all the answers are on the review study guide. Discussions ( 8 total, the easiest thing ever) TAKE THIS FOR EASY A

The online course was 4 weeks so we read two chps/week. There is a lot of homework and reading. Pace yourself. He covers all the material and lets you know what will be on the test. We had one research paper, but the professors walks you through the process step by step. Quizzes are not too difficult if you read. Always ask for help when needed.

I have taken 3 classes with Professor Pauley and i have easily aced each one. His lectures are very interesting and he can be funny at times. He clearly informs students of the grading criteria and the tests are straight off the reviews. If you do all the assignments (including reviews) and show up to class you'll be fine. Highly recommend!

was worried to find I had nothing to be worried about. Took psy V03 ONLINE. His syllabus was clear, he assigns the same 2 assignments, for each chapter. Additionally a quiz following each chapter, & your final. He did assign about 3 small 1PG papers throughout the course but over all if you do your work youll pass. WELL RECOMMENDED!!

He is a great teacher, I took his online intro to bio psych class and I was scared it was going to be hard but it was so easy. His lectures are easy to follow and he gives a study guide before every exam plus he responds quick enough to emails.

This was the first online class I took and I'm so glad I did because it wasn't too hard but I still learned/retained a lot of info! The forums, deadlines, & grading were fair. For the reading assignments he provides examples which really helped. He emails back & grades quickly. The study guide really helps prepping you for the exams so do them!

Prof. Pauley's online class was great. Do the work outlined in each week's module, pay attention to due dates/times and you'll be fine. He goes a long way to make sure students succeed. NOTE: you cannot submit assignments late. But he is very clear in his class rules. I'm taking him again in the fall for PSYV05. Really liked his class!

I took his 6 week online summer Developmental Psychology course and it was great! There is a good amount of work, but he is not a tough grader. I would take another class with him.

This class isnt an easy A, but he does all in his power to help students pass. Several writing assignments (most of which are up to a page MAX) and one final APA paper. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

I love Mr. Pauley. He established very clear grading criteria and publishes online course material early, so that you may get ahead. Im currently enrolled in his PSYV03 online, but I have also taken taken him for PSYV01 online and hes an amazing professor. If you do the work, you will definitely pass. I did not read the book, I just summarized what I thought was interesting. The course is not difficult at all. If you plan to transfer, I suggest taking it with a challenging professor.

Took the 4wk summer session & by far was the most relaxed I've felt in an online class. I would say, I cannot stress enough the necessity of having the txtbk since you will need it to complete the majority of assignments in his class. Professor Pauley uses a variety of teaching methods which is probably why a 4wk class did not feel intense.

Just read the direction/ do work. Someone told me if u sound smart u get full credit, its tru. I tried tho, but u don't have too. By far the easiest online class. Prof. Pauley makes sure the class is interacting with one another, which makes the class that much easier to understand. There is one research assignment that is challenging, but the point of that assignment is to prepare you for future research papers. He gives out plenty of EC which makes an A+ more attainable.

I took his 4-week class over the summer online and it was so great! Such an easy A and a great professor who helps out a lot. Offers a lot of extra credit and as a high school student, I even thought this class was super easy. Great class that I would take again!!

Great professor. Makes class interesting, fun, and doable. Take him! Do the work and get ahead. One paper which was interesting. Prepares you and has samples of papers something that was very helpful. One of a kind.

Most of the answers to his quizzes are only. Accessible too. The 4 papers he does required a page of paraphrasing

I took him for all of my psychology classes. Each of the classes was run the same. There would be weekly textbook forums where you wrote about a concept from the book. The other assignments were not weekly and were straight-forward. There was four tests and no final if you did well on those tests.

Awesome professor who replies on time and grades quickly. goes above and beyond by giving sample papers. Assignments are straight forward and there's one paper that's a couple of papers long but he's there to help if you have any trouble. Enjoyed this class. Take him!!

Professor Pauley teaches the easiest classes I've ever taken. The weekly readings are not hard if you pace yourself. There are 4 tests but he gives you a fifth test incase you did not do well on one of the other four. I am taking him again in the summer. Weekly assignments but they are easy. Only one research paper ann it's easy.

This class was very easy he gives at least two assignments weekly and they are all the same, its very easy. His chapter reviews are the exact same as the tests so he makes it very easy to study. I took this class online and he is very easy to contact if you have a question. 10/10 would take again. I cant stress this enough, Take this class!!!!

The only way you can fail his courses is by simply not doing the work or caring. He gives review sheets for each chapter before the exam and its practically almost identical to the review if you study it thoroughly. Ive taken 2 courses with him, and planning on taking him again this fall. 100% recommend prof pauley.

I took him during the pandemic. I searched up all the answers to his quizzes online. Easy A

If you're self-motivated & can write, you'll probably sail through Pauley's class. Fairly easy overall: lots of discussion boards (min. 2 per week), but exam questions are taken from assigned review pages. My 1 "complaint": he is very minimally involved in class. No Zooms, copy & paste discussion answers, & little, if any, feedback on assignments.

Grade is based on the two required discussion boards + responses, exams, and a few extra assignments. The information is taught mostly through his lecture powerpoints but they are really easy to understand. Exams are straight from the review sheet. Professor does not interact much with students as it's a remote class but it was still a great course

Professor Pauley is a straightforward instructor. His assignments are clear and concise. He sticks to deadlines really tough so do not miss your deadlines for any assignments. I would take his class over again due to its simplicity and clear assignments.

Professor Pauley's class was very easy. The answers to the quizzes were all in the lectures and he gives you " fill in the blank " notes. His class was an easy A but I wished I would've learned a little more.

Professor Pauley is an exceptional teacher. I am returning for some additional Psychology classes. I learned always learn so much in his classes. Follow the syllabus, do the work, and you will enjoy the class. Best teacher at Ventura College. I definitely would take another class with this professor, and I am doing just that.

His classes were very straightforward and simple. I took V01 and V04. He had us keep an Assignment Tracking form that gave you a clear estimate of what your grade will be. No late work accepted, but the homework was not difficult if you followed the guidelines.
