I love the hair.
one cool hippie! very helpful.
very laid back and easy
He is such a nice guy who tries to get to know everyone and is always happy to answer questions. The tests aren't too bad either.
Great teacher, very easy...Gives the answers to the tests at review sessions...
an awsome prof. and an awsome class. I suggest him to all geog majors. He is fair, treats students like human beings, and is an overall good guy.
Easy class and great professor. Actually wants you to pass. Makes things interesting.
GOOD MAN
Sort of a boring class, but he's an interesting person.
very laid back & easy
Great professor...love his class.
soo easy and really helpful, try's to learn everyone's name... i recommend to anyone to take his any of his classes
AWSOME TEACHER! He learns everyone's names (even in a lecture hall). He is very laid back and obviously loves what he does. The class teaches you a lot about world culture and politics.
great professor. he's really nice and really tries hard to make the best out of class time.
I dreaded going to class. Not because it was hard but because he constantly pushed his ideas on us, he hates white people and claims they are all bad. He claims to not know anything about religion but sure likes making jokes about them. I can't stand him.
He is the man. He is by far the coolest teacher that i have met in this university. He goes out of his way to get to know his students and really wants everyone to do well in class. Just go to class and take good notes and you'll be fine. CHEERS
Easy but doesnt curve. Every test has like 90 percent easy questions and like 10 percent hard ones. So its very easy to get anything below a A- but hard to get an A. I missed an a by 2/600 and he didnt give it to me, despite beating the avg.
Great teacher, knows what he's talking about. He is liberally biased, but he admits it and doesn't let it get in the way. Attempted to learn all of the names of the students in a lectur hall!
A pleasure going to class even @ 8:30 in the morning! Very funny prof! Strongly recommend it! But the exams are kind of detailed! Gotta study hard!
An excellent professor, always a pleasure to sit in class and very entertaining. Reisinger is a very informed and conscientious professor who shows true concern for the issues he teaches about. I highly recommend him if you are looking for a geography class!
Reisinger is one of the most caring professors on campus. He loves teaching and loves his students. The material might be kind of dry but he does his best to make it interesting. I'd take him again in a minute.
Reisinger is my dogs, mess with him, you mess with me
Definetly my favorite professor @ Binghamton. Take any class with him. He's awesome.
probably the nicest and friendliest professor ever. Class is beyond easy and interesting at times. Lots of pop quizes- must attend class
Impossible to get an A, not too hard to get an A-. You have to have a 95 average at the end of the semester for an A, which means you can only lose 20 points out of 400; 20 points on ten labs, five pop quizes, two tests, and a final...pretty ridiculous, but nonetheless he is a cool guy and you should take it if you need a G.
It's def harder to get an A than it should be. I got an A, but most people did not. The tests can be tricky, and the labs are graded pretty harshly. If you do the work which is not a lot, you can get a B+/A- pretty easily. He's really liberal, but overall hes a cool guy.
easy to get B+ but hard to get an A. requires 95 percentile to get an A. pop quizzes are the absolute killer and will seperate the As from the A- and B+.
Impossible to get an A. I worked extremely hard and it is impossible. Makes you do his research rather than let you choose research of your own interest.
The labs are time consuming.... be prepared to label a lot of maps..... If you read the book a little and read ur classnotes you should be fine....
He is very nice and clear. Class can get boring sometimes (and it's 8:30) but he tries to make it funny. Assignments can get annoying. Tests are alright, some questions come from the text. It helps to go to class since sometimes he gives easy 1-Q "pop quizzes" which may help boost your grade at the end. Good class and cool guy after all.
it's not required to go to class, but go everyday to get the extra point. Those help in the end, and it's one of the only ways to get an A. Didn't use the books at all, which results in some missed questions from the test. Just do the practice questions on blackboard and you're fine. Go to his office hours so he gets to know you.
I love this guy; he's very cynical and analytical, and is in general a fun guy to have for a professor. The lab assignments are tedious, but they're worth no more than 2½ hours of work a week or so. Attendance is not mandatory, but bonus is give for going. Get plenty of sleep before an 8:30 class. It's a good idea to get to know him, too.
He is one of the coolest people you will meet at Binghamton.
He is one of the best professors i hav ever met. Hes really a nice guy. If u want to get A thn tak this clas....The assignments can sometimes be time consuming...but they r easy. I recommend this clas to ne1 who wants to get an A in a gen ed.
Mark is a really nice guy, it was rocky for the first few weeks, go to class and learn what he has to teach and READ THE BOOK, if anything that is more important then class take it from me i got an A.
Mark is awesome. He's the most laid back professor you'd ever meet, and he has great anecdotes that keep the class interesting (which isn't easy for an Urban Geography class). He's generous with bonus points, and his mid-terms and finals are online. It's hard NOT to get an A/A-. Don't hesitate to take him.
you basically have to get almost perfect in all your labs and test to get an A. but its a pretty easy class. you dont have to attend lectures. just do your labs which take up A LOT of time but are easy. and read the textbook (theres a lot of read) the test are REALLY detailed but the tests are open book but hard to find all the details.
Awesome guy! you don't need to go to class but he's funny and likes to get to know his students. assignments are tedious but easy and tests are on blackboard but you should study before them because you only have a certain amount of time to finish them. Take the class, you won't regret it.
I didn't attend class at all since homework and tests are online. I ended up with a B (would have gotten higher if I went to a few classes to get some bonus points. I regret it now) The homework can take a few hours. Test questions are hard to find the answers
Great class, AMAZING PROFESSOR. Not hard but the assignments are annoying. He is a very helpful Professor so if you ever need help go to him because he will give you help.Mark Loves to joke around and get to know his students.
Mark is a fun professor that enjoys teaching his field. The class is not difficult, but getting an A in the class becomes difficult because it is very easy to lose points on the Labs. If you lose 25 you're already in A- territory. Labs are a lot of work as well. Very Time consuming. Tests are given online so you can research answers but not easy.
I would not recommend taking this class unless you NEED it for your major. For a gen ed requirement, it's a lot of work and it's not a lot of useful information. Marc is a great guy, very knowledgeable, and always willing to help. Even though tests and assignments are online, it's still very tough to get an A.
lolololololol. classes are an easy A if you just read the lecture notes and make notes off them. homework and tests are online. extra credit for going to class. interacts with the class. got an A- and never went to class. easy gen ed credit
Great teacher. Take his geog 151 class. It is not too much work and he is a great professor
I took his online this summer, read the both text books from to cover. The online lectures were quite repetitive and were basically a chapter summary. Many of the questions in the assignments were vague & had nothing to do with the readings and the only way you could find it was googling the information online. Don't take his online class.
Great and fun teacher. His lectures are usually fun to go to if you are interested in geography... Great personality, easy to be friends with. Open notebook Tests are extremely annoying. The most specific questions, hard to google. Study guide is not helpful at all. Just study the key terms instead. Memorize answers from practice exams and quizs.
Mark is a great teacher and this class itself it really easy. All of the assignments are online and you can google most of the answers. Make sure you always do the practice quizzes/test because the questions are the same on the test. Going to class and office hours gets you extra credit!
Mark is amazing. He really wants to get to know you and wants you to learn. This class is seriously so easy. All the tests are online, and if you take the practice quizzes you can get all the answers to the tests. You get extra credit for going in to talk to him. Definitely recommend taking one of his classes.
Reisinger is a professor who truly wants his students to succeed, and offers them every chance to do so. He encourages visiting his office hours by giving you bonus points towards your grade. There are 9 online assignments, 2 online tests and an online final. Practice tests are helpful. Absolutely take this class!!!
such an easy class, and he is a really great professor. tests and assignments are all online and he gives extra points. TAKE THIS CLASS!!! he's the best!!
This dude was the best teacher ive ever had. So easy and i never had to go to class. All tests are online and you dont have to go to class on test day. He gives plenty of practice tests that are identical to the actual test. Highly recommend this class
Mark is a friendly professor who genuinely cares about his students and takes time to get to know them. Unfortunately, the class I took with him was disappointing. It was a boring class and I feel that I did not learn much. While the online tests were easy, they were based on random facts and were hardly based on lecture material.
EASIEST EASIEST "A" YOULL EVER RECIEVE. DIdnt show up for 2 months, and the teacher still loved me. He's the chillest hippy professor that everyone loves. Also, gives you the test qs in a "question pool" before tests so take advantage to do well on ONLINE tests!
Honestly the best professor in Binghamton. The only work i did in class was the HW which took a max of 1 hour, with only 7 assignments all semester. Tests questions are given before hand so no reason to get above a 100 in the class. If you don't get an A there is seriously something wrong with you!
Very passionate and a good lecturer. Very cool
BEST PROF EVER!
Absolutely have to go to class, because it is worth as much as the tests, but class is the most pointless class i have ever taken. He literally sits there and talks to people the entire time. He tells you there is no attendance but if you dont go, you will fail. Easy A if you can sit through a pointless 1.5 hr class where you learn nothing
Master Mark literally made what seemed like a boring subject into an enjoyable learning experience. His anecdotes throughout lecture are usually hilarious or insightful (Sometimes both). Even though he says attendance doesn't count, the i-clicker mini quiz at the end of each lecture sums up to a test grade. Do practice tests before test!
AMAZING PROFESSOR. easy class. Get to know him.
Mark is a good guy. Goes over his powerpoints in class and further expands on them. Sincerely cares about his students and their overall progress in the course. Easy class concept wise, but difficult exams.
He's funny but class is so boring. The class is pointless but it was an easy A. Get to know him because he'll most prob love you.
Literally the nicest & sweetest professor ever. Really cares about his students and is very knowledgeable
Incredibly easy class if you're willing to sit through boring lecture (but you don't really have to listen). CLICKER EVERYDAY that counts a lot for grade. Other grading is homework (one assignment/week) and tests which are all online! Most answers come from textbook or online practice tests.
If you are looking for an easy A, stop looking. Three tests that are open book with questions taken directly from easily accessible practice quizzes. There are 12 ten question short answer homework assignments that can be time consuming to complete but are easy enough if you look the answers up either online or in the book. Class is so boring tho.
Mark is an amazing teacher. He finds ways to personally connect with each of his students.
He is so sweet; he is willing to help students outside of class. His tests are fair and straightforward. He is also hilarious and a fair grader when it comes to homework's.
He is the best professor I've ever had my whole life! Super easy to talk to and always there for you. Go to class, answer questions and get candies! Strongly recommend all of his classes.
Best proffesor at Binghamton.
Easy A class, the exams are take home and you can get all the answers from the practice quizzes. However, there is quite a lot of homework even though it is easy. He also does attendance and questions through tophat so you have to show up to class. He still is a chill dude though and tries getting to know all the students in his class.
What's So Funny 'Bout Peace, Love, and Understanding is such a fulfilling class. Two credits but so worth the two hours a week. Gets you thinking about what's going on in the world and connects it to the past. Mark's a great guy.
He's a chill professor with a great sense of humor. Lectures can be boring but he takes attendance so show up and you get credit. Be prepared for lots of homework though, but everything could be looked up online. Would definitely take his class again for an easy A.
Master Mark is a fantastic human being and professor. Very chill and easy to talk to. Willing to work with you and help you with both professional and personal matters. This class is an easy A but he uses online programs (Packback & Tophat) which are annoying for attendance and homework. All tests are online (including final)
Really liberal but I'm sure none of you care. Definitely a good guy. Just go to class to get credit for attendance and questions. Make sure you do every homework. All the test questions are from the practice quizzes. Quizlet Binghamton GEOG151 has the bank for the tests. Should be the easiest A of your life if you just don't miss an assignment.
AWESOME is the way to describe Mark. Mark wants to get to know you and see you succeed by helping you learn a thing or two about geography. If you go to his office hours and do the work each week, you will be left with an A. This class is a must take. If not, just pop in his office for a quick chat and you will leave with a smile on your face :)
Easy A class. Uses online program called Payback and TopHat. For exams, do all practice quiz at least 20 x for each and you'll do well on online exam because he takes the q's from there. Do everything and get them accurately correct and you'll get an A. If you need a G/N gen ed, take this in the fall or winter semester. Make sure internet work btw
You'll need to show up for class to answer questions on TopHat, but you don't need to pay attention to lectures. Exams are based on practice quizzes that you can take over and over on blackboard until you get the right answers. Extra credit for going to office hours. That's about it.
UNIV 101V SUCH a great professor, he is kind, funny and interested in his subject. His class is jokingly easy, with only 3 papers to write that are easily graded. Just show up to class and participate in the discussion if you want and you have an easy A. Highly recommend this course.
He is a very nice man, and his class is very doable if you put the time into doing the weekly assignments. You also have to go to class to get your attendance points, which are very important. Lectures have pretty surface level info and he lingers on his slides, but you will definitely learn a lot about the world if you can sit through the lectures
Awesome class, funny guy.
Really easy class. The use of Packback for weekly questions is really easy and actually was pretty interesting. His lectures are pretty dry, and there is a clear underlying political bias which is impossible to ignore. The tests are online and very straighforward
Wow Mark is a great man. Genuinely cares about his students and wants to know about our lives. He will remember you and everything you tell him. His class is actually interesting and pretty easy. Once a week assignment, response, and online tests which come from practice quizzes. One of my favorite professors at Binghamton, such a nice guy.
Master Mark is the best professor. He loves seeings students succeed and will help you out in many ways. All tests are from online banks, just need to spend the time gathering the answers. If you spend a bit of time on the HW, you'll be fine. Easiest class I've ever taken at Binghamton in 4 years.
Master Mark is great in the fact it's an easy A. He cares about his students. All of the assignments are online- Packback, weekly definitions homework, etc. All very easy. The exams are administered online, and if you just spend time collecting answers from the practice quizzes he gives you, you're set. Though, his lectures are a little dry.
Gives extra credit for just going to office hours. Master mark is truly a gem and it's a super easy class if you go, everything is on quizlet for the online tests. Lectures are not the most interesting if you're not interested in the material but gives an opportunity to zone out on your laptop
Really great professor. This class isn't a huge time commitment but every week you have to do a 10 question assignment and these could take a while because the questions are a little tricky. Tests are very easy and there are no quizzes. Marc cares a whole lot and only wants his students to do well.
Mark is a GREAT professor. This class was honestly an easy & enjoyable way to get my G gen ed requirement. This course used in class questions that classmates and mark helped to answer added for easy grades. In addition all of the weekly assignments and exams are online and come directly from the chapters or google. 10/10 reccomend take this class!
Professor Mark is one of the nicest professors here at bing. It was easy to get an A, but you have to put some work in. Expect to spend roughly two-three hours each week outside of class completing homework. Tests and assignments are easy but you will have to go to class and do the homework to keep your grade up as it is a large part of your avg.
Most amazing and caring professor. Attendance is mandatory but the tests are all on quizlet. Textbook is necessary for homework. Definitely the best easy A class.
Master Mark is incredible. Take any class you can with him as he is one of the best professors at Bing. There are no wrong answers in the class and it is all about sharing your opinion to develop your ideas while learning where others stand. This class genuinely showed me varying viewpoints that people shared and helped me formulate ideas of my own
Master Mark is a great guy, but he is very very liberal. He mentions some politics in the classroom and has Anti-Trump photos in his office. Besides for that he is a super amazing person, or should I say "Awesome?" Anyway, take the class if you want an easy A. Weekly homework's, 2 midterms, 1 final, and in class participation (on your phone.)
Teacher makes it actually enjoyable to go to class, uplifts students and encourages them to do their best in everything. Absolutely one of the best teachers I've ever had and would consider taking another class with him.
MASTER MARK IS MY MAN. Amazing professor, incredibly knowledgable about topics and cares deeply about his students. Go to office hours for extra credit. Class is easy online apps to answer questions, some readings, and then a couple tests. Very manageable. Only 3 words to describe this Professor- Awesome, Awesome, Awesome!
Who's awesome today? Master Mark is! Take any of Master Mark's classes. Nicest man I have ever met.
Professor Mark is by far one of the most caring and genuine professors I've ever had. As long as you put a little effort into the class and try to learn something, you'll get an easy A. Highly recommend.
Mark's really laid back and a super nice guy. I don't think he teaches scholars classes too often, but if you get the chance it's a good time to get one out of the way.
The most amazing teacher I've had. He is so passionate about his subject and is very nice and accommodating to students. He genuinely just wants his students to learn. His tests are very easy and there are not too many homework assignments. I would definitely take him if you have the option to.
Clearly is one of those rare professors who is not only passionate to teach students but take a lot from them as well. Assignments with papers seems a bit redundant, but are not difficult. Overall, it's a very free and relaxed class where you can talk about any topic of interest and as a person, Master Mark is a great man to get to know on campus.
You're awesome today. This is professor Mark. He's really kind person. You can reach out to him at any time you want. He can answer any questions about the University affairs and geography knowledge
He's so kind and cool. It was very easy and was over Zoom, but he does use iClicker which are kinda just free points.
He runs papers through Grammarly instead of giving genuine feedback. He was nice and the class was an easy A at least.
There are a lot of assignments but none of them are terribly difficult. Professor cares about students and makes every effort to help them and is accessible. Great course to take as an elective for any major and easy A if you put in the work he assigns. Listen closely to what he says as the majority of his tests and quizzes reflects lectures.
mark is perfect
Mark really cares about the students and isn't too hard with grading and assignments as most are discussion posts with subjective answers. This class is a great one for those who need a Gen Ed or to fill a major requirement. He does give some extra credit opportunities as well.
Mark is an awesome professor. If you do all the assignments and listen to his lecture carefully, you can get an A. You can shot him an email and reach out to him really easily . He would like to help you anything about the course and university affairs.
I don't go here but my girlfriend raves about him. The way he talks about other countries and their cultures is inspiring. Would take again
He is amazing. Best professor I have ever had! He is a very lenient grader, and has easy tests. Would DEFINITELY take again!!!
Prof Reisinger wasn't really my style as far as the way he discussed some things relating to other cultures and practices, but this class is SUPER easy. Lots of easy homework to fill in 100's and then just 3 tests. The lectures weren't even necessary to know in order to get an A- only needed for the in-class participation.
Would give a 6/5 if I could. Always made class fun and welcomingalways starting the day off by asking the class if everyone was awesome. Super super approachable for anything about class or otherwise.
Mark is a great, sweet man and I loved listening to him lecture because he laughs at his own jokes and its endearing. Textbook definitely isn't mandatory but with the weekly chapter assignment the answers are right in the book so its easy to find the answers. Tests are easy and online, and there are weekly discussion board questions but theyre easy
this class was mostly discussion based and if you do the readings it was easy to participate and made the discussions more interesting. a few group projects and three papers but other than that it was a really easy class and i really liked both professors.
AMAZING LECTURE
Prof. Reisinger is a very nice person that cares about his students and always asks how they are doing. The class is an easy A as long as you go to all the lectures and do the weekly assignments which don't require more than 2-3 hours to complete.
He will always be Master Mark in my heart.
I took this class for a gen-ed and it was super easy. Mark really loves the material that he teaches and he's super understanding. If you put any effort in at all you can get an A. He is also super funny and just loves to talk to his students about anything. I 110% recommend this class.
Best gen-ed to take hands down. Every test is online (including the final), and you only need to show up to class for iClicker participation points. Textbook is rarely used. Would recommend to take any of Mark's classes if looking for a super easy gen ed.
Economic geography was the easiest class I've ever taken. The grading consisted of iClicker participation to which Mark gave you the answer, a weekly discussion post, two tests and the final, which are all online and all answers are on quizlet. Mark really cares about his students and is super nice. Highly recommend for your gen ed
