What can i say: welcome to RainMan. This guy cant teach at all. He knows his math but cant transfer the knowledge to the students. Make sure you have a book because thats the only way your going to learn, teaching yourself.

this teacher sucks. we call him PATCH for his huge patch of air on his forearms that is so nasty, ever heard of a razor? he wears the exact same shirt everyday. he sucks at teacher never take him or you will fail. the class average on the first test was a 28/50!!! how horrible is that?

Listening to him teach just makes me get dumber and dumber, and understand math less and less.. The tests are so confusing. He talks so fast and mumbles, that I am lost in 30 seconds. He makes what is supposed to be a basic class impossible.

I happen to be an extrememly nice person, so I'm not going to say anything disrespectful, but if Math isn't your thing...do not take from him. It will be a miracle if I pass this class. He definitely knows what he's talking about, but can't get it across to students...try enrolling in another section if at ALL possible!!!

He is one of the worst teachers i have ever had. Not only does he not explain things well but he won't let you use a calculator on anything...including tests. If you get him, switch out of his class. He's not really willing to help you out if you need it either.

deff the worst teacher ive had @ ecu. dosent explain anything, not helpful when you ask him to explain, always says i know what im talking about but i dont know how to explain it to you??? so confusing. ive always gotten As in math well not this year... :-/... get out of his class now i promise it will be well worth it.

He is really a sensative looking man but he really doesn't know how to discuss and convey what he means. You can't really understand that he really think he know what he talking about and he kinda don't be he do he just can't tell us as his students.

sorry teacher, the worse of all time, he does not go over hw, gives trick questions on purpose, i have already gotten an A in business calculus and everyone is failing his class. he doesnt go over tests, and says that anything can be on the test, even if it wasnt discussed in class. knows his stuff, but cannot put it into words for others.

by far the worst teacher ive ever had in all of my years of school. he makes mathmatical mistakes over and over again. he doesnt go over anything class and doesnt help you with anything, you ask him a simple minded question and he cant even understand you. i cant believe this university would hire such an ill-equipped man to teach college.

Awful! The worst instructor at ECU. Downright refused to go over homework assignments. Lectures are cryptic and incomplete. Tests are confusing. No public speaking skills at all.

One of the worst class I have ever taken. He can't teach. So what if he curves; you might pass the class with a good grade but you won't learn or get anything out of the class. His lecture are all cram in and ungorganized. His tests are like 5 pages long for a 50 minutes exam. Even after the big curve, class average is below 50.

This man is a horrible teacher. He asks us how to do a problem that he doesn't even know how to do? He doesn't let you use a calculator. His tests aren't multiple choice. So if you want to get a good grade on the final exam without having to stay up all hours of the night and go to other professors for help, do not take his class.

Avoid taking him if you can! His lectures are unclear, he doesn't explain what he's teaching at all, and he reads the slides word for word! I thought it was a big waste of time going to class, but he takes attendance everyday, so you have to!

One of the worst teachers I have ever had. Avoid this class at all costs, unless you like; random (non-multiple choice) quizes, A TON of homework, and a complete misunderstanding of math in general.

Very hard to follow in class, takes attendence everyday, homework every class which is graded ridiculously, a quiz every week...would have dropped this class if i could have. Glad its an easy subject, or I'd be failing.

I'm not 1 to complain about teachers, but this man is seriously the very worst I've had yet, & I'm a senior. If you don't get 100% on HW he gives you the equivalent of a "D," & he doesn't listen when students ask him to teach something differently for better understanding. He also goes out of his way to make things more difficult for the students.

I took College Algebra in a community college that ECU wouldn't take. So I thought this class should be easy. Rentmeesters makes it so confusing - and I had an A in it before! I quickly transferred out of his class and I recommend everyone do the same. He gets sidetracked, it's impossible to take notes- just all around awful teaching style.

This class was terrible. He changes his mind about grading all the time. He grades like a middle school teacher. P=poor, S=Satisfactory. He made a girl cry in my class. He is very disrespectful and makes it impossible to do well. His final is 15 pages and he isn'thaving a review. I feel nothing but hatred for him. And he stutters. Ug.

This teacher sucks beyond belief. He can't pronunciate at all and constantly stutters and loses his train of thought. His version of teaching consists of writing the examples in the book over and telling everyone to teach themselves at home. Horrible teacher.

He is a HORRIBLE teacher. He obviously knows his math but when it comes to explaining it so you understand he can't do it. We spent 20 minutes watching him try to plot x and y on a graph because he kept screwing up. He assigns homework everynight and never goes over it or explains how to do it.

I liked math before entering this class and I agree will all the comments. He has no social skill which makes it hard to communicate with him. I do believe he was happy to see a student struggle the whole semester. I glad it is over. Thank God

Absolutely horrible. He called campus security to his classroom one day because he insulted a student to the point where the student threatened violence. Refuses to help, and seems to take pleasure in making tests and homework impossible. Doesn't allow calculators for anything whatsoever, yet never gives multiple choice tests. Just...horrible.

He is honestly the worst teacher in the history of teachers. This is for all you people that thought it couldn't be that bad of a class, well it is. He's very smart, TOO SMART and he doesn't realize that students aren't as smart as him, there for he uses his vocabulary to explain things. Makes mistakes during every class. Takes points off but does not show where the mistake was made. Is unprepared when he comes to class, his lectures leave us unclear and confused. Very poor communication, stutters every other word. Does examples straight from the text book with complete lack of explanation, will skip most steps and just show you the answer, and fail to show you how to work the problem out. Gives homework on material not covered in class yet, grades harshly on it for accuracy, same with quizzes. Stay away!

This man is the worst teacher i have ever encountered in my life. He copies the problems straight from the book, and then gets them wrong. Leave it to this man to mess up something that easy. He stutters over every word and has no idea what he's talking about. I have never been so repulsed by a single individual. STAY AWAY!

He is not a very good professor. You have to teach yourself practically everything but if you study on your own and do your work instead of complaining about it, you will manage to make an A but again, thats only if you do your work and study a lot. If you feel like failing math, then you should take this class. All of his tests and hand written, as as many others have said if you dont use every step in your explanation, youll get the whole question wrong. He can't solve his own problems much less his student's drop or prepare to use mymathlab to teach yourself to pass(he grades tests and quizzes NO MULTIPLE CHOICE). One of the worst Professors I have ever encountered. I have always been a fairly good math student and he made things so much more complicated then they needed to be. This professor assigns insane amounts of homework, an average of 9 assignments a week. He has an awful attitude, and is not very respectful.DO NOT TAKE ANY CLASS WITH THIS PROFESSOR

The class yelling at him on a regular basis because he's such a bad teacher was the only interesting part about the class. Terrible teacher and could care less about being a terrible teacher. Exact words, "your adults and are expected to teach yourselves, I already get paid."
