Mark did a great job with our Physics class, he made it very interesting and fun. If you have not had a Physics class and were in search of a good professor, register with Mark....it is worth your time and money.

Mark made the class very user friendly, but seemed to be a little behind on grading at times.

i loved this class, finally math made applicable to the real world. mr. robison was an awesome teacher & i'd take him again in a heartbeat. his grading was very fair, the topics were good, he has an open door policy for questions.

This was an awesome class and a great class for anyone needing to take their lab required science course if you are not a science oriented person. Attendance wasn't req'd for lecture, it was so fun I showed up each night. If I needed more math or science I would take another class with Mark.

This was my first class with Mark and I enjoyed it! Mark does an excellent job of relating material to real life examples and situations (and with good humor). The exams are challenging, but appropriate. The exams test the relevant material learned and often integrate past physics concepts learned. The only issue I had is that grading can be slow

It did made the class harder because he only read the book and didn't pick out a few h/w problems to go over on his own... but honestly, I thought he was cool and funny :P And that helped not falling asleep in class. The quizzes were easy, the tests pretty hard, but the final ended up being the easiest one of all. It wasn't all that bad : )

Course was great. I just came in hear to critique my fellow students. I've never been witness to so much ****ing and moaning. The Prof. asks if there are questions and he gets blank stares. Come on. Take responsibility for your own affairs. All I have to say is if this is a cross-section of my competition in the work-force, I'm doing fine.

I agree, there was too much pissing and moaning. Although NHCC is not an Ivy League University, it is still college. In college, students have to study. Even if you think Mark wasn't helpful, just read the d*nm book. Sullivan wrote it so a blind third grader could understand it. There was no excuse to get bellow an A, especially with an 8% curve!

Mark is a great teacher! Really hard class, but he helped clear things up and made it enjoyable. Wish he was teaching PhysicsII! Labs are easy, but write ups are laborous, the tests are really hard, but the final-not so scary. He tends to focus on those doing well vs those that need more help. Main suggestion: think simple & dont get overwhelmed!

Robison is a very good teacher, has a way of simplifying complex topics using everyday analogies. Highly reccomend him.

Mark is a wonderful teacher!! I have always had awful math teachers in the past that didn't know, or didn't care, how to explain things. If you don't understand something, he is more than willing to help you and accommodate his schedule to yours. I am a horrible math student and he helped me leave his class successful! I definitely recommend him!!

Robison is a good teacher. There is perhaps two math teachers better than him. Very lenient grader for a class that is anything but tough. Never did the homework and I got an A, but results not typical. He lets you use a page of notes on the tests. You have to be seriously thick to do poorly on the tests. An interesting class and a good teacher.

The material can be difficult, but the professor was good at clarifying, and setting up study times to get questions answered.

He is a very good professor. He made every necessary option available so we could do well in the class. I did not do very well, but its due to no fault of his. If i have to take it again, i will surely take it with him. Thanks for making me a little bit more smarter in STATS. I would reccomend.

Mr. Robison had only a short time period to teach a lot of info. I only wished he could have shown us the long version of math operations before jumping to the short cuts.

I Think Mark is very good teacher not only he explains the course in the calsss but more importantely he made himself availaible to all the students who needs help outside of the class.The test are little challenging but if you work hard you will do just fine.If you are whiner then this class is not for you

Professor Robison really made Finite Math enjoying. Almost everyone was at every class because we loved it!! He always helped us with anything that we needed. With only 6 people in the class, it was very easy to have one on one attention and tutoring. He truely went out of his way to be an excellent teacher. I LOVED the class.

Mark is a teacher who really cares about his students. Mark encourages students to develop critical and analytical skills which are essential in the work force today. He does not just spoon feed students the answers and make it an easy A. Take Mark if you up for a challenge and developing a needed skill.

Mark is a geat teacher. He knows what he is takaing about. I took two classes with him and i reaklly liked his grading method. We have a online quiz just before the test so, we know how the test is going to look like. I do recommend Mark. challenging class but it does worth your time and money.

REALLY HARD class, but teacher is nice and helpful. Grading is tough though, so be prepared to work.

Good class, very helpful teacher. Spent a lot of time answering questions, even if it meant that we can't finish covering the planned sections for the day. That was my first math class where I actually understood almost everything. Thank you Mark!

Online class but was very flexible about the time spent in the school. Offered two seperate times for taking final.

I took the online course. Everything we had to do was explained clearly. There was not to much homework or busywork. It was just enough to be helpful for the tests.

Mark was an absolutely excellent teacher! Physics was not the easiest class, but Mark made it easier because he went way out of his way to help students. For example, one time I called him while he was at a BBQ and he stopped to help me out with a problem I was having! His interest in the subject matter is high, and I would highly recommend him.

Very easy so you obviously should not fail this course at all! Unless, you didnt do any work & bombed the tests b/c of that. He's very helpful & nice. Will do problems if asked. Learn out of textbook. HW was online & you have many sources of help if troubled. lectures were not too boring, i mean, it's math. =]

best math teacher i have had yet

Very helpful teacher-however, many times so helpful in answering questions that we would get sections behind in the book. Mark would spend the whole hour helping someone understand instead of moving on. I felt those that didn't understand the basics of factoring should have dropped instead of holding everyone else up. Overall-very energetic!!

Mark challenges his students and will expect you "apply the concepts" to more difficult problems throughout his class. Good class. Mr. Robison is very helpful. One thing to watch for, the quizzes and tests are tough and challenging.

Taking this course online is the way to go. Homework is a guaranteed "A", and if you can do the homework, the short quizzes are guaranteed high scores, and if you can do all of that, you're in good shape for the mid term and final with a big sheet of notes allowed and a huge curve! Easy!

Mark Robison is a good instructor. I had him for stats 1130. It's not the easiest class but Mark would answer all questions with patience even those that were remedial. The final and midterm were 65% of our grade but we were allowed 1 page of notes. Gotta be pretty dumb to mess that up.

I liked his teaching style. He broke things down for us, and was very easy to understand in his in class examples. He needs to work on getting tests back to students a little fast than one week! He's very easy to communicate with and responses very quickly to discussion board posts and emails.

I took an online course. The tests, exams were interesting and pretty challenging. Expect to study a lot if you hope to make a good grade. Prof was helpful and smart ( judging by the quality of his quizzes, midterms and final).

Last summer I had to finish the class faster than the rests of the people in the class cos I was gonna be out of the country. i was amazed on how flexible&helpful he is. Very considerate! Always answer discussions clearly and faster than any other online teachers. Knowledgeable on his subject. You are cool Mark! :))

Good math teacher, knows his stuff and teaches math not just as vague theory, but applicable to daily life. Likes to challenge his students to think though, so not the teacher for you if you don't want to work for your grade. Would definitely take more math classes taught by him.

First of all, before I took this class, I thought it would be hell. Mark has made me look at math a different way. I figured math would be my worst subject but came to realize it was actually one of my strong points. I would recommend Mark to anyone who is willing to learn at a nice pace but do not fall too far behind.

Was very easy going. Challenged you on a higher level which made the tests harder, but challenged you to think on a higher level.

His tests are tough

Mark?s nice and available for students. However, he's suited for calc, or phys instruction, rather than remedial courses. Mark does not understand a remedial audience. Instruction and hmwk are directly from the book, but tests are infinitely more complex/advanced. Class test avg were 60-70s. Discouragement and frustration was the overall consensus.

Tests and quizzes are pretty tough. Mark is really helpful.

Mark did everything by the book. His class was easy, just as long as you understand what he is trying to show you. If you have a hard time understanding, ask questions. He does his best by trying to show you different ways to get an answer and helping you understand the concepts. I did wonderful in this class and would definitely take him again

He's nice, helpful and wants us to understand. He admits he deliberately makes tests hard to see how far he can push us. Class average is 60% on tests and weighted for half your overall grade. Wouldn't recommend him unless you're a math whiz already. The class is unnecessarily stressful when you know the material but his tests are just ridiculous.

Mark made made Algebra interesting to someone who hates math. He is helpful and explains problems if you ask for help.

Very good at expianing and willing to spend time to help you understand. Lots of HW, Quizzes and tests are BRUTAL. Made me PO every test and quiz. NOT AN EASY A.

He is a teacher who understands that he was a student before and therefore he is there whenever you need his help. I enjoyed his tests even though they were tough. Tests touches everything learnt in class. I got what i deserved as a student and he also did his part. He is also racism free teacher.

Mark is extremely knowledgeable in the area of mathematics. His exams are pretty brutal, but if you study and know how to apply the knowledge then you will do fine. Do the homework and show up to class (what a weird concept).

Robison teaches very well and helps you when you need it. All the bad reviews are coming from students who dont show up to class and expect everything to be simple easy. So obviously they fail and blame the instructor for it. Great class and I've learned so much from him.

He curves the class which is nice, but I had to go to his office almost everyday so he could clarify the things we learned in class. It is a lot of self teaching.

I liked Mr. Robison as a person, but I felt like he wasn't giving 100% as a teacher. He isn't very interested in math and it shows. His degree is in physics and he would make a much better physics teacher. The classes consisted of him explaining the textbook and working through some example problems. There was very little student engagement.

I was in a morning class and I think twice in the semester he was on time, otherwise everyone sat around and waited for him for 5-10 min. Very easy going and was very accommodating when i made a few mistakes regarding due dates. He went through material fine, but didn't engage with the class much. On the other hand, he was happy to answer questions

I always struggled with Math throughout my life, Prof. Robison was the FIRST teacher who never belittled me or made me feel bad for not understanding something. No joke, he changed my opinion on Math. Took 2 semesters w/ him. 2 years later I'm still thankful for his class & kindness! Easy to understand and always responds to questions thoroughly.

Took his math lit class in fall of 2018. Solid guy, math whiz, very dry and sometimes dark sense of humor. Right up my alley. Class was hard, and he goes QUICK so you have to take notes strenuously - and ask him to slow down. He Kinda blows through stuff because its second nature to him - but he is very receptive if you are vocal on your needs.

Mark is dry and to the point but also friendly if you talk to him. He's bluntly honest and expects you to do the work that you should be doing without excessive expectations. The dude is incredible.
