I am a math major and even I think this class is awful. He isn't clear on assignments and gives 5+ hours of homework each week. He isn't very good at answering questions and is correted constantly by students during class. Most students are learning from the TA's rather then him. I definitely would avoid a class with him if possible.

I absolutely would not recommend a class with Sadowski. He is very unprofessional and negative. Lectures are almost exactly the textbook, full of mistakes, and he is often unable to clearly answer a question. He sends copious amounts of emails, most irrelevant to the class. He is not understanding of concerns and can be very rude.

Hands down the WORST professorteacher I have ever had in all my years of schooling. My high school calc teacher was infinitely more helpful, and she was a bad teacher. Sadowski just copies directly from his notes onto the board, and typically can't answer students questions. Avoid this god awful professor. Should be fired for his lack of knowledge

HARDEST CLASS I HAVE EVER TAKEN IN MY LIFE. He is not the best professor. He writes his notes straight onto the board and barley explains them. And when he does he sometimes confuses himself. The TA (matt maginnis) helped me out so much though. He is really good at explaining stuff. Lots of studying is needed to pass the class.

Absolutely horrific professor. My high school calc teacher was way better at teaching. Writes problems from a piece of paper which come from the book. Exams are irrelevant to what he teaches. Get the Pyros Exam Study Book. TAs are really helpful, so use them.

RUN AWAY FROM SADOWSKI AS FAST AS YOU CAN. Nothing he says makes sense and he is entirely unhelpful. He gets confused during his own lectures which makes you second guess everything he is teaching. This should have been an easy class but his terrible teaching has made it so I'll probably have to retake the class.

He writes notes and examples down on the chalkboard exactly from the textbook. If you ask him for clarification he will talk himself into a circle and leave everyone more confused than before. He often has to erase what he's written and do it over. You basically teach yourself. Exams are standardized so he doesn't even know what's going on.

This class was brutal. He speaks in a very low monotone voice and is very difficult to understand (especially at 8 AM). He is very confusing with what he writes on the board because he will do an entire problem and then erase it because he messed it up. Also, my TA was not much help as others may have lucked out.

I hated this class. Calc 1 isn't even that difficult, however Sadowski made it difficult. His lectures were terrible and he skips many steps to get to the solution without any explanation. I taught myself the entirety of 241 through YouTube, so expect to be doing a lot of work on your own. Discussion is helpful. Lectures are not.

We spend the entire class copying paragraphs from the board with little to no example problems. I am confused 99% of the time even though I have learned half of the criteria previously. I feel like I am becoming dumber.

Do not under any circumstances take Math 241 with this professor. His notes consist of paragraph long "definitions", he does not explain the material at all. I completely failed the midterms and lecture quizzes. I took it again with a grad student and got a high b. He does not teach you anything, he just stand in front of the board copying the book

Professor Sadowski is honestly the worst teacher/professor I have ever had. He starts off the day just copying down information directly from the book, briefly reads over it (making plenty of mistakes along the way), and expects you to know what he's talking about right then and there. Do not go for him to help as you won't get anything from him.

Worst teacher I've ever had. Inconsiderate of other students' needs. I had a broken wrist and he was the only prof that gave me a hard time finding me a scribe. He writes paragraphs on the board and whispers what he wrote verbatim without actually explaining. Avoid him at all costs, and if you didn't take calc before.. you're failing

I would highly recommend avoiding this class at all costs. He writes paragraphs on the chalk board which makes it almost impossible to read and also fails to explain what he wrote. I attended every single discussion and lecture class and still had to go to extreme lengths, including multiple tutors, to teach myself the material.

So please never take this teacher. If you are not a great math student, he will not take the time and slow down lectures to help you. He writes everything on the board and doesn't teach how to do it. I'm sure he is a good guy, but do yourself a favor and don't get him.

Please run in the opposite direction. He came to class every day and didn't even understand the material he was teaching. Asking a question left you even more confused. He is unable to explain a problem or understand a question. He also refuses to admit he may be teaching wrong and blames his students for a 40% test average.

This professor is horrible. He teaches by writing notes upon notes on the board for the whole 50 minutes you're in it. For the easiest level of math you can take it is way too difficult. He overcomplicates everything which is very annoying if you are already bad at math. I really recommend you do not take him as the professor. Easy course content

Professor Sadowski is by far the worst teacher I have ever had the misfortune of having the class was intended to be an easier course for majors that are not math heavy but I might as well have taken Honors Abstract Algebra very little teaching is done, and the whole class barely stayed a float hopefully the math department curves the course.

Writes paragraphs of irrelevant word problems on the board while mumbling to himself and doesn't explain how to do them. Had to teach myself all of the material from the textbook, only two midterms and the final, no curving even though the most of the class was failing. very difficult class if you haven't taken calc in the past.

If you are a freshman taking calc for the first time you won't pass so drop the class or change professors. He will write irrelevant word problems on the board that are never on quizzes or tests. He will not call on anyone that raises their hand and if by chance he does he will get angry and not even answer the question.

This man, is by far the worst teacher i have ever encountered. If you have him, drop immediately. He writes word for word problems in the text book on the board. He does not teach you anything. Seems like a nice guy but a bad professor. Just talks to himself as he writes paragraphs on the board. If you took AP calc in high school and got 4/5 then you will be ok, if not then you'll struggle. I went to every class, discussion, and tutoring session but still struggled and had to teach myself each homework. Please don't take this class!

I PROMISE you this will be the worst class you've ever taken in your life. Professor Sadowski does not care about anything you have to say and he responds in the rudest manner. Don't try to contact him because he will not care. He embarrassed me several times in front of the class and his teaching makes NO sense. You will get more confused.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS! Professor Sadowski is a horrible professor and unable to teach. He is rude and just writes paragraphs on the board as he talks quietly. So much homework that doesn't always reinforce what you learned. If you have to take this class, do whatever it takes to get a different profesor.

Talks quietly in class, never tells you that theres homework due and doesnt have a link on his canvas to the website that you do it on so you basicaly just have to check it on your own every day. Quizzes are easy, but he does not prep you for the exams. Avoid taking him if possible. Overall awful teacher and a mean guy

Writes notes on the board, quietly reads them aloud word for word while still facing the board, and does not actually explain any processes or methods of solving problems. Quizzes weren't bad, but exams were a rough time for me. Had to purchase the textbook for MyMathLab access to do the homework, which often took hours, and he grades attendance.

Alright where do I start? Sadowski seems like a great person but professor?? nope. The first week of class he did not notify us that we had homework. Also, he does not teach, he just talks to the board and often starts class 5 minutes early. He moves very fast and writes directly off of a paper covered in coffee stains.

Worst professor of all time. Rewrites the textbook problems for no reason, no use of technology unlike other professors. Tests are completely random, and no extra credit offered. Stay away at all costs

WORST professor Ive ever had. Hadn't previously taken calc so I struggled tremendously, even the students that had previously taken it struggled/did not get credit for class. He writes on a dirty chalk board so it is impossible to copy down notes (WHOLE CLASS IS COPYING NOTES) doesn't even give a warning class is starting. Office hours are no help!

Overall awful professor. He is not good at conveying/teaching info during lectures, he often goes through a few examples each class and mumbles to himself while writing them. If you did not take calc in high school this class will be difficult, but if you did take calc, it will be tremendously easy. Overall I would suggest avoiding this professor.

The worst professor I've ever taken, don't respect students, can't teach the class efficiently. Bad writing with all capital letters. He doesn't care about his students as well. Finish his notebook is the only thing that he will do. Never choose him as your math professor. Professor Crissinger is a much better choice.

Professor Sadowski may actually be very knowledgeable in calculus, however he is not a very good teacher. His back is constantly facing the class, as he writes, solves and immediately erases practice problems all throughout the lecture. If you have taken calculus in high school, the material itself isn't bad, but don't expect to learn from him.

He is very knowledgable in his field, but he lacks ability to teach the material. I found it very difficult to follow, he writes practice problems on the board, and then solves them on his own.

He doesn't necessarily teach or properly express how to complete a problem. He just copies examples from a sheet of paper. He never properly explains how he has completed the problem, and he doesn't understand how to complete the problem when asked by students. There is also NO EXTRA CREDIT so BEWARE! If you can find someone else, please do that!

Worst professor I've had at UD. Had incompetent answers to student questions and all you saw the whole class was his back as he raced across the chalk board to copy the textbook down. He absolutely did not teach and I was more confused when I went to class. He did not help for exams. I had to do tutoring just to get a C in the class. Don't take him

This professor is honestly one of the worst math instructors I have ever experienced in my entire life. Every class we sit and copy notes from the chalk board that are basically mathematic novels instead of doing practice problems. He doesn't know how to explain anything in simple terms and makes the class so much harder than necessary. DO NOT TAKE

One of the worst professors Ive ever had. He does not explain ANYTHING . He stands at the front of the room and write every single problem on the chalkboard, doesn't ask if anyone has questions or if any one knows how to solve the problem. Try your best not to take him!!!!

Honesty, the worst teacher I have ever had in general. He doesnt give partial credit and uses a machine to grade tests. He stands at the board and writes material down with little explanation, and doesnt ask questions for students to respond to during class.

All he does is write on the chalkboard and doesn't explain what he's writing. His handwriting is awful and doesn't care if you have questions or not. Not a good math teacher so I would definitely not take his class ever again! He doesn't care about any of the questions that the student may have nor will he explain it either.

All he does is write paragraphs about how to do math on the board from the second class begins. All of the writing is unnecessary and directly from the textbook. He does not engage with his students whatsoever and gives no partial credit. DO NOT TAKE!!!

No interaction whatsoever in the class. He writes on the chalkboard in silence for an hour and does not explain what he is writing or how to compute things. LOTS of homework however it barely counts for any of your grade. Can barely pass class with extreme effort put forth. DO not take this class with this professor!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would never recommend Sadowski as a teacher. He faces the board the entire class and never answers questions or explains. The web assigns will count for almost nothing and will not bring up your grade at all, do not rely on them. He is the least helpful professor at UD and you will end up teaching yourself with the book. Take another professor!

He doesn't really teach concepts. He goes to the board and writes out definitions, then does exactly one example problem associated with the definition. That was the entirety of every class. If you didn't already know the concept being taught, it was very difficult to understand.

the worst math professor I have had in all years of education. he was unaware/didn't care about struggling students. taught with his back facing the class while the students copied notes he wrote on the chalk board for 50 minutes. I was borderline D+ to a C- minus and when I went to see him he refused to give me the 2 points I needed on my final.

When this guy talk it literally makes me want to walk away from my computer. When I emailed him about how I need an excused absence due to 2 deaths and 1 hospitalization in my family, he did say "sorry to hear about your tragedy" but he wrote back at the end of the email, "Now is not a good time to be lowering one's level of effort."

don't take him. don't do it. In all my years of schooling, I have never gotten below an A in math. and I BARELY got a B. The worst professor I've ever had. literally doesn't teach, he expects you to know things already just because he's writing it on a chalkboard. AWFUL. if I could give him 0 stars I would.
