Dr.Schlueter is the man!!! This guy will do what ever it takes to help in any way he can. He is super flexible on assignments and is super nice,patient,intelligent. You would be making hugh mistake in not taking his class. There are daily quizzes and a few papers so you have to attend every class but if you miss he will oblige.

He's a great man! He teaches from the powerpoint. His tests are directly from the notes. Just stick to his notes and the studyguide and you'll be fine. He's really patient and so fun too! I suggest him to everyone for this course. You won't be disappointed!

Dr. Schlueter is a great man! I really enjoyed this course with him and I recommend him to anyone who wants to take General Biology or Zoology!

Dr. Schlueter is an intelligent and helpful professor. He has a great sense of humor and sarcasm, it makes the subject matter much more fun! He lectures with PowerPoint slides and according to him his exams are 95% lecture based/5% book - so you can get by without buying the textbook. I would definitely recommend his classes :)

Funny, sarcastic, laid back. Lots of projects and a few field trips. Tests are okay. Don't study and you could still make a C; study a little and make an A.

Amazing professor, Top 5 GGC has to offer. Is passionate about Biology and shows it. His tests are fair he gives study material the 1st day of class.The only reason you would get a bad grade is if you didn't bother to do the reviews. Very nice and caring. Extremely fun class, I would take more of his classes and I'm not even a Bio Major!

WAY TOO MANY PROJECTS!!!!! In the last 3 wks of the semester we had: a research paper; a Riker mount(w/at least 15 organisms); a sketch book (w/ at least 27 sketches; an oral presentation; another 2 page paper;a test, a final and a lab practical. When we told him this wasn't our only class, he said "this class is the most important". ??? Really?

Good teacher. Don't really need textbook. Mostly study his slides and you're good for tests. Gives a lot of projects and assignments for a 1000 course. Can be a bit unfair with grading, but mostly good. I recommend taking his class if you aren't taking a lot of classes. Doesn't really take into consideration of your other courses.

Very good instructor. If you are a biology major this is a good professor to have. You will work but you will learn. If you don't care about learning the material take the class from a teacher who doesn't care about teaching.

Disregard the person below me. He is the easiest teacher I've ever had. If you put in even half an effort, you'll make an A.

hes passionate about science. u will learn things w/o even knowing it. His tests r str8 frm his ppt notes & he gives u a study guide wit all the short answer q's for the test. Its 50% short answer (frm review) & 50% fill in the blank (frm ppt notes..he gives u wordbank but can be difficult if u dont know them. Lots of projects 2 boost grade up

He is extremely passionate towards Biology. If you have the time to ask one question he will go into depth within the answer. His lectures are straight off of powerpoints and he doesn't use the textbook. He's very understanding. However, you must go to class to completely understand the material.

Schlueter is an amazing professor! He made me glad I chose to study biology over the other sciences. Attend class fairly regularly and study the study guide for tests, and you will be fine! Wish I could have taken him for 1102.

I don't know why everyone on this site loves him. Makes no sense, my class struggled big time. Don't believe the posts, he gives a ton of vocal and does more material than the other teachers. Like extra chapters on exams. He's a funny cool sarcastic guy that's why everyone likes him, but if you care about your grade forget taking this teacher.

Dr. S is very organized and clear about what is going to be on the tests. He does give you a lot of work but it is very easy and helpful to you're grade. YOU WILL NOT PASS IF YOU DO NOT STUDY OR DO THE WORK. So if you're lazy and hate projects don't take this class. Overall he is a great teacher.

Dr. Schlueter i the best biology professor I ever had. If you are a bio major that i recommend taking him.He does give lots f projects and stuff but it only helps you in the end. He gives you study guides and power points to study from. you don't really need a book. I can be an easy A or if you are lazy than a B. Take HIm!!!

Although it was easy for me to get a very high A, I personally did not enjoy the class. There are countless projects and assignments..we had a major project due every week for the last 7-10 weeks. You have to show up to class every day or you might miss one of his many pop quizzes. Don't take this class if you are taking other major science s.

This is the best Biology teacher I have ever had. If you do well in his class, you will do well in Biology forever. I thought I knew this stuff going in, but boy do I know so much more now. The more you show interest, the more he will reciprocate. Be passionate!

Be prepared to read and study a lot

Awesome teacher, and very straight forward and honest. He knows the material like the back of his hand and gives you study guides for every test at the beginning of the semester on D2L. If he makes a mistake, he admits to it and fixes it. The class is hard but he gives you everything you need to get an A. Lots of extra credit opportunities!

He's a good teacher if you have a lot of spare time to keep up with all the projects and assignments he assigns. The test are hard and consists on memorizing over 100 words for the lecture tests and its all fill in the blank and short answers. Labs are boring and the exams are a bit easier then the lecture exams.

Best bio teacher ever! He is SO nice. There are a lot of assignments, but they are easy and there are many chances for extra credit, things as simple as bringing plants in for lab. The study guide IS the test. You go on a few field trips. He randomly spits out crazy bio facts but it actually helps you remember other things related on the test.

Hes a really good teacher very interesting but his tests were a little hard but he makes up for it with extra credit assignments.

If you are a Bio major you have to take him. He was kind & helpful for Zoology and very clear on what you needed to know. He gave study guides for all the exams too. He grades quick too. I liked knowing my grade right away. He does give projects but they are easy. If you try, you'll get an A. Field trips were fun & there was plenty of extra credit!

If you are a biology major, I strongly suggest you take him. He knows the information inside and out and he will help you remember key facts. He teaches slowly for you to understand. My only complaint is that he assigns way too much homework. If you take this class along with 2 or more other classes, you'll be swimming in homework for sure.

Dr. Shclueter is a great professor, especially if you are a Biology major. He definitely knows the material like the back of his hand. The class is not a "gimme" A and the tests are tough, so you will definitely have to study and keep up with the material if you want to excel. However, I can definitely say I have learned A LOT from this class.

Dr. Schlueter is a great teacher! He is always willing to answer questions and clarify if needed. The labs are surprisingly helpful and the sketchbook is tedious but really helps in the long run. He offers a extra credit and the field trips are fun and you learn a lot. He definitely knows what he is doing and there is a method to his madness.

Dr Schlueter is a good professor, but this isn't a class you make an A in without studying. you have to put in time to study otherwise you will fail every test. He gives projects but they definitely help your grade if you do them. He gave our class an extra credit opportunity of going to an animal safari easy points but a fun experience as well.

He also gives study guides which allow you to focus study time on the topics that are gonna be on the test. Overall, this is a good class that you can get an A in as long as you study and take notes.

Dr. S was one of the best Bio Professors I've ever had. He really knows his stuff. There's ALOT of vocab, but he gives you a while to memorize them all. Buying the book isn't necessary bc all of his test are based on the power points he goes over in lecture. He scares you into studying and it works. All in all I would take this course again.

Have never worked so hard for an A in my entire life. Hard tests, make sure you study. A lot of homework, but accepts late work without taking off points. No book required, but take notes from ppt! Assignments include 35 sketches + 15 plant collection. If you can take someone else, please do. If you dont have a choice, just do the work and you pass

Honestly, I loved this guy. Lots of work, but lots of time to prepare. Study guides for every test, including final, that truly help you ace the exams. That in itself made this class easy for me. Remembering all the vocab is prob the most difficult thing. Time management is key to this class.

Dr Schlueter is a very nice man and he's very passionate about life. He's a zoologist so anything animal related he loves. If you don't take in depth notes, you'll fail. If you don't pay attention in class, it will be extremely hard to pass. Even though its grueling, you will learn at least something. Be ready to work your butt off.

Very excellent professor. Very helpful. Gives study guides. Presentations, sketch books and a lot of labs. Labs come with homework. Print out notes that you have to follow along to. Very easy class. He can be a jerk sometimes.

Dr. Schlueter is amazing. Wish I took him for BIOL 1108. Zoology was a fun class even though it was a bit of work. As long as you did your part & showed some interest in the class, he was more than willing to help out & move exams, deadlines around. Very fair grader, lots of extra credit. I would take him for other Bio classes if he taught them.

Dr. Schlueter is a great professor who makes class interesting and funny with his mini asides and jokes. Zoology can be content heavy and requires lots of taxonomic memorization, but it can be done if you pay attention and study. The outside of class fields trips can be difficult to attend, but I really enjoyed this class. I would recommend!

Dr. Schlueter was an amazing professor. You have quizzes, homework attached to every lab, a detailed organism sketchbook, 2 organism presentations, and then 2 lab & 3 lecture exams, alongside the final & practical. Lecture notes are online and are fill in the blank. Definitely study the vocab. If you're willing to work, he's a fantastic professor.

Gives a lot of extra credit throughout the semester to bring grades up. Should always participate in class. Take notes he gives and use them for test. Always use the study guides since that's mainly the test. Prepare for those and your golden.

His tests are simple and straight to the point but you still have to study for them! You can tell he cares about his students and their grades. Provides a lot of extra credit. Very lenient grader. He makes lectures interesting and funny, very passionate about biology. Never seen him walk into class with a bad attitude. Please take him.

All im going to say is that those who tried and did well in his class know that hes a good professor. The other half that complains all the time I hope you change majors. This is the easiest that biology gets. Very fair professor who genuinely cares about you if you show that you care too. The extra credit is up to you to do if youre lazy or not

You will need to learn lots of vocabulary so be prepared. If you are not a biology major, don't take this class. He is a very nice teacher if you study well the materials. You also need to print out the power point to take notes.

He is a great professor. You should take him. He does all the study abroad trips at the school. He is very fun.

A 2 semester class pushed into 1. This class requires your full attention due to the amount of material. Dr. S gives powerpoint notes which are word by word on his tests and a study guide for each with a 200 word wordlist. His lab tests are from the sketches he makes you draw. A lot of work is required for this class but he's not a bad professor.

I took this class 3 years ago because I love animals. I would KILL to take another class with him. Such a great teacher who cares deep down. If youre always late, dont turn in HW with ANY professor, why expect them to give you a decent grade? I learned SO MUCH in this class despite all the work, but Id recommend him. Give the guy a chance.

Hes a really nice teacher, but if youre not doing well hell assume its because you dont care and will make small comments about that openly in class. His tests are straight from the notes, and he gives study guides on the concepts that will be on each test which are helpful. There is A LOT of vocabulary, so be prepared to study. (Projects+).

He is a very smart man and clearly knows a lot, he just has a very smart mouth which for some (like myself) aggravates me very quickly. His tests are straight to the point and he offers extra credit.

Do really need to study for tests due to being vocab heavy. It helps to start studying in advance. DON'T study one or two days before that will probably get you a B. Do the study guides that helps a lot. Also, pay a lot of attention during microscope lab. Microscope questions are somewhat hard, so study carefully. Overall, he is a great professor

Dr Schlueter is a super cool professor and always cracks jokes which makes class fun. But take this class seriously! Doing the study guides is crucial for your success on the test. The study guide needs to be complete at least 3 days before the test if you even want a shot at an A. Studying the day before or two days before the test wont cut it.

He's great! Study the lecture powerpoints and the study guide and you'll do well on his exams. Knowing the lecture part well will help you with the lab section of the exam. Just make sure you study the microscope questions (this was the hardest part in my opinion).

Hes. Great professor. Hes very clear with what he wants you to learn and the material he will test you on. He gives very helpful study guides. He gives extra credit. We had four exams and one final. The lab portion is a little hard. The lab practicals are basically looking at models and microscope and identifying parts.

Great class but very hard. Be prepared for microscope questions, they can be really difficult. Staying after class can help a lot

He is an amazing professor overall. He is willing to work with everyone and even pushed back a couple exam days for our class. Do the study guides and focus on the fill in the blank powerpoints you should be able to pass with a good grade.

He is an amazing professor I had him for human anatomy. You must review the PowerPoints and study study STUDY the word list. Ask as many questions. He makes the class fun to learn but pay very close attention to the things he focuses on heavy. Also DO THE EXTRA CREDIT! It will help a lot as well .

Great professor definitely would take him again. make sure to do the study guide and the flash cards for the words list he gives alot of extra credit on those if you do them. if you do the study guide a head of time and memorize it you wont have to worry about 75% of the test and the rest are fill in the blink so do your flash card trust me.

He is amazing professor. Fun and active but if you skip class you will not pass. All test from his powerpoint slides and lots of homeworks as drawing, memorizing vocabulary words, lab homeworks. You gotta pay attention to lecture and lab. Test is not nonsense. It is from lecture and lab.

He is nice, but his lectures are long even in a hybrid class. There are so many extra credit options as well, but do not rely on them. There are a LOT of projects too.

This class itself is heavy content based but Dr. Schlueter made this class a lot easier. a lot of memorization, tests had MCQ's, short and essay questions which were straight out of PP and study guid. sketches to draw not hard, and a lot of extra credits. class was hybrid due to covid so labs were at school but they were safe and you learn a lot.

Professor Schlueter has become my all time favorite. His lectures are super thorough and amazing. Participation is key and will ultimately leading for you to understand content better and receive an amazing grade. His work is very easy as long as you have time management. Class is fun and the videos you watch are entertaining. Take This Class !

Dr. Schlueter is an amazing professor! This class requires a lot of memorization so pay attention to lectures and labs. Exams are straight from the PP and study guide. Dont study last minute. He is very helpful and gives extra credit. This was a hybrid class due to the COVID pandemic, so labs were at school and lectures online.

I absolutely loved this class. By far one of the easiest classes I have ever taken. I would highly recommend anyone to take this class. If if was gonna take more classes in the future, he would definitely be number one on my list. Had so much fun in a class that was a hybrid - lectures were online and labs along with exams were in person.

Best teacher to teach Human Anatomy upper level! Even during COVID he really tries to make sure you understand the topics and is willing to show demonstrations and explain in detail. Study guides are basically the exam. Know your terms! A lot of vocab that is memorized but still straight forward. Always study a week in advance and you'll be good!

He is the very best professor I have ever had. His Anatomy class is not easy. It is a lot of information that requires a lot of studying. His tests are exactly like the study guides. Always do them and memorize them. He genuinely cares for his students and is a very kind professor. Show up to class, show that you care. It will help in the long run

Dr. S is really cool! I had him to BIOL4570, we studied bees in North GA. It was super easy and straightforward, 2 quizzes, 0 tests, 1 group paper, 1 group powerpoint, and 4 mandatory farm visits. This was over the summer though, so keep that in mind.

literally the easiest class i've ever taken in my entire life. I don't understand how anyone can even rate him badly, he would even help us during TESTS. such an objective lecturer and had super fun projects that help you prepare for tests. test material quite literally handed to you

For A&P1, exams have multiple-choice questions, but mainly written short answers. Lab practicals are all short answers. He goes fast, so if you are smart or knowledgeable in this field, take him. If you are new to the content, you will need a lot of work and effort to pass. He is a kind, light-hearted person, very patient, sweet, and understanding.
