Very clear . Uses a lot of great examples and lets you know what's relative to the test . He follows the class outline and the lecuture notes are what is on the test. I wish he could teach all of my Psych classes! He's AWESOME professor!!

One of my favorite professors at CSUN. He is very organized, and you can be confident you'll get a good grade if you study his lectures. He makes the class extrememly interesting. I learned a lot. It's too bad he doesn't teach a variety of classes.

Class is easy, if you attend class everyday. The test comes from his lectures. (its 90% lecture & 10% book). If you are interested in learning about the different abnormal disorders He is the best teacher to take.

i love him! he is funny, very lively and passionate about what he is teaching. didn't want to skip class and miss any interesting facts. if you take good notes and study them, you will ace the tests.

Among the best classes/prof's i have ever taken. Very interesting class, and professor is funny clear and in my opinion easy. For the test just study the notes and you will do fine. Besides the material is so interesting you sometimes dont mind. If you dont like taking notes all day from powerpoint then this is not your class. Otherwise its Great!

Highly recommend. If you show up to class everyday and copy his powerpoint notes you will definitely pass the class. If you miss a class you can read the book, however he makes it so much easier to understand. There are 5 exams, not cummulative, he drops the lowest score, and there are no writing assingnments. What more can you ask for.

Very great class. Sergi makes learning abnormal disorders very interesting. If you take down all his notes from his power point lectures you will get an A. One of the best Psyc professors at CSUN. He's teaching psyc 464 if anyone is interested in cog behav interv. Highly recommended.

I echo all the other comments. This is a very interesting class because Dr. Sergi is very animated and gave lots of examples. Study your notes hard for the test and you will do fine. Great class!

Awesome! Excellent lecturer, you can really get a lot out of his class with the way he teaches it.

He lectures with Power Point. His exam is straightforward, so you just have to focus on your notes. Luckily, we had a TA and she helped us a lot.

Very cool professor. Interesting material graded fairly, and explained well. Difficult but fair tests. Take advantage of the study sessions given by the TA, who will patiently explain any difficult concepts, not to mention she's HOT!

The class is so interesting. The study sessions are great, it tells you what is exactly on the exam. The exam is from his notes. You do not need the book. The class is easy, and he drops one test. I recommend him, he was like the second easiest teacher at CSUN. As long as you study your notes, and go to the study session, you have to get an A.

Fabulous teacher! The classes are interesting to go to, he has a great sense of humor. You only have to take 4 out of 5 tests. They are based mostly on lecture, which are given to you by email. All you have to do is fill in the blanks. I highly recommend taking him.

As you can tell he's hot! Greatest class to attend just to listen to him. He is married and proud of it. Oh wait the class.....great! Really interesting. The notes as mentioned sent to you and if you just attend the class and study sessions you will do well. Don't need to buy the book.

LOVE THIS CLASS! It was intersting and fairly easy. No papers just best 4 out of 5 tests. As long as you study the lecture notes the tests are easy. I strongly suggest going to the study sessions because the TA tells you some of what is going to be on the test. Take this class!

Very interesting course I recommend it. You have to, have to study for his test and go to his lectures if you want a good grade. Overall he explains well and drops one exam out of the 5 he gives.

He is the best teacher in the university. Everything explained in class is crystal clear and included in his tests. Tests are mainly based on his lectures and they are very clear. He doesn't do anything to confuse you.

Great Professor! Teaches clearly and is willing to help out during office hours. You must be in class since the exams are based on his slides. Exams are not difficult at all if you study. One exam is dropped, but if you're happy with your grade at the end of the semester, you don't have to take the final (which will count as your dropped exam).

This class can be a bit boring at times, but he is funny and upbeat so the class is not too bad. You really don't need the book at all, his tests are almost 100% from notes. He provides the power point slides but he leaves gaps so it's a MUST to attend lecture so you can study off the notes. Good teacher, curves.

His fantastic lectures are made crystal clear with in-depth powerpoint slides. He is funny but also seriously knows his stuff! I've seen very few professors who can keep the attention of a giant seminar hall the way he can.

Dr. Sergi is a wonderful professor. He is that professor who will teach you something and you will remember it 20 years later. I am so thankful to have taken him, I learned so much! GO TO CLASS! Exams are strictly lecture based...please don't buy the textbook. Don't take PSY 310 with anybody else! I wish he taught more classes. A+++ professor

4 exams and 1 final..all multiple choice. I recommend to print out powerpoints online and bring them to class. He purposely leaves blank spaces on the powerpoints so you have to come to class. He's very knowledgable and caring of his students. I learned alot! I was honored to be in his class. TAKE HIM!

Meh. Pretty easy class as long as you study, uses fillinpowerpoints (hate). If you're feminist/queer/not into stereotypes his examples are excessively normative and not funny, bordering on offensive. I find this VERY, VERY distracting when I'm trying to learn. Nice guy, but not an enjoyable class. If you don't relate to the masses: avoid.

English is not my first language, but he is very undrestanding and helpful. It takes time for me to take note of everything he says.But I am in good standing regarding the grade. So if you are native speaker, You will be completely fine too.

Great class, Dr Sergi keeps it fun with great examples that you remember. Great professor, very willing to help. Lectures in a way that is relatable to all students. It's pretty much just slideshows and he gives you blanked out copies for you to fill out. Just those, read the blog and browse the textbook. Easy class.

This class is hard as you must read, but most of the material is from the notes which he will provided but still I have found him to be one of the hardest for psy 310

The entire grade comes from five scan-tron tests, based almost entirely on lecture and a bit on his online journal. Highly recommended: Get a note taking buddy or five (since lecture is just power point fill-ins) and alternate going to class. For the tests, know the specific percentages/stats given.

Hands down one of the best psychology professors I've had on campus. Very knowledgeable, always knows how to engage the class, is very attentive to questions, and the lectures are always interesting. A great guy! If you have the chance definitely take his class!!

Although attendance isn't mandatory you should show up b/c his slides have missing material you can only get if you show up to class. A lot of his slides go over the same criteria. He has 5 tests a semester (about every 2-3 wk there is a test). No cumulative final. His lectures are clear and straight to the point.

4 tests, each are 20% of your grade, and you get 20% for showing up/doing random assignments or homework. Tests are usually 25 multiple choice and anywhere from 8-11 short answer questions. Half of the short answers are from the book, the other half are from the slides. Come to class, fill in the slides, do the book questions and study them!

Loved this class! Professor was absolutely clear about what he expects of you. Material is extremely interesting as well as the textbook assigned. I would definitely take another class with him if I could. Tests can be tricky, but if you study you'll definitely do well.

Marks class is pretty chill, he is very power point heavy and you need to be in class to get the information from the power point because he send them to you as deleted content. But he is really straight forward with his grading and has recently starting giving possible questions that might be on his exams. I felt that he was really easy to talk to

Dr. Sergi is such a kind professor, every time I went to his office hours there was someone there because people enjoyed talking to him. Sometimes his lectures could get a little boring but most of the time it was interesting. There's five tests, each worth 20% and they consisted of 33 - 46 questions.

The best professor Ive taken at Csun for a psychology course. Hes hilarious and keeps lecture interesting. His tests are based off his PowerPoints with some book related questions, which he gives in advance. The people are fail this course are just pure lazy. Definitely recommend.

Amazing professor, I changed my career because of this class. His lectures are very interesting and he's very knowledgable because he's a clinician himself. 5 exams but if you study his lecture notes and GO TO CLASS, you'll get an A or B. Absolutely loved this professor. His entire class is based on five exams, so make sure you're a decent test taker. Lectures are very fun and interesting. Try to attend to get good notes, but if you miss, he will give you the notes needed. 100% would take again!

Interesting class .Knowledgeable and nice professor. Graded on 5 exams only. Exams get harder as you go. Study his slides early as he teaches them, understand, and memorize as much as you can. Exam questions are hard. Lots of material to memorize for each exam. You will get a brain information overload. Not an easy A.

VERY knowledgeable professor. Doesn't use Canvas, but sends out the PPT slides in an email before each chapter. Only based on test scores and tests are difficult. If you're interested in the field, it forces you to learn and is really interesting. Just make sure you go to lecture.

You have 5 exams and they get harder as you go. Honestly, if you go to class and study a couple days in advance you will do well. What sucks about this class is there is no study guide so you have to just study/memorize everything. He comes off like he doesn't care at first but soon realize he just wants you to do well. Your final grade in the class is based on 5 exams period.(No extra credit, no extra points). One chapter had about 34 power point slides and exams are about 2 chapters, plus he gives you a list of about 10 possible textbook questions. No study guide, so you need to memorize everything if you want an "A". Love the class, really organized!

Your grade is based on the average score of 5 exams. They are not cumulative exams so that is cool. The exams are based on lecture and the slides he provides, some book questions, and a blog post he makes you read. That's it. It's a simple class and he is a good and fun professor. The exams get easier as you go, because you are aware of what to expect, there are a few questions from the book concepts and a few questions from his blog, as well as from the lectures (mostly this) on each exam. I had a great time learning the concepts in this class.

Dr Sergi is an absolutely amazing, passionate, & kind gem. His class consisted of 4 exams which were MC & short answer. Study his ppts super well &you'll pass! He also assigned group work at times to do small activities (nothing hard) which made understanding the material easier & funnier. His lectures are enjoyable &you'll learn so much, TAKE HIM!
