Cool! Makes class intersting & fun! If you want an "A" you must show up because he actually takes roll every day with an impromptu question of the day that is fun. Makes speech fun and teaches you some cool & interesting tricks. Role plays are fun. Students pick their topics so it's not boring. I would definetly take this instructor again.

He is so cool!!! most of his test comes straight from the lecture. He made time fly by really quick..always made class fun and interesting. Has plenty of stories to keep the class interested. I would definitely take another class with him.

Professor Shannon is one of the best teachers @ Compton College. You will always come out with a smile with all the interesting things you will learn. If you want to learn Speech 3 than by all means take him you will learn so much.

e is great! Everytime it was time to go to class it was fun:) He is a funny professor that makes you want to go to class. EVERy assignment is crystal clear and he makes sure everyone understands. I recommend him to everyone. He is absoluetly the best :) IHe truly cares about his students.

Cool dude! He's funny and easy going, but don't be late for his class. He takes roll every day at the beginning. He's tough on slackers, easy on the rest. He is a magician and a comedian so you will be entertained by his lectures. You will learn about a lot of stuff that you can use. He teaches you how to tell when someone is lying. That was cool.

It was one of the most interesting classes that I have ever had in school. Professor Shannon is an excellent instructor and I will recommend him. But he makes you feel comfortable enough to give a decent speech without being nervous reck like how i was in the begining lol! And his test are easy and straight from his lectures. Wow, I have never ENJOYED an 8am class before. BEST SPEECH CLASS!! Mr. Shannon is Great!! The class was fun and interactive. He tells you the chapters and pages you need to focus on. Attendance is important so go to class and arrive there on time. He really doesn't ask for much, so follow his directions, do your work, study, and you will get an A

Best teacher ever for speech. Gives every opportunity to do well. 80% or more of my class earned an A or B. I was late everyday, and he takes points away for tardy's and absences but in the end I still aced it because he teaches directly from the book.

Professor Shannon was easily my favorite teacher thus far in college. When the class started we were terrified of public speaking but by the end, when we were called it was super easy because of his amazing approach to teaching. The book is mandatory and so is attendance. If you follow that rule you should pass with flying colors!
