Clear, easy to follow lectures. Fair tests. He explains concepts well.
He has to be one of the best econ teachers at Davis. Too bad he only teaches in the summer. Lectures were clear and easy to follow and test weren't bad at all. You don't even have to buy the book.
Dr. Siegler is just as good if not better than any of the best professors at Davis. He's funny, clear and very interested in the subject matter. He's a very hard worker and keeps up with all of the newest ideas/papers in economic history. If he's here next summer, I highly recommend that you take whatever he's teaching.
Clear letures. Fair tests. Good to take him in summer.
Ridiculously hard for only intermediate macro, far more math than in comparison to the other professors from what I know, homework takes on average over 3 hours. Also he likes to go off into some pretty complicated stuff that just dumbfounds the class and he doesn't get that its actually really complicated stuff just he doesn't realize it.
Professor Siegler is the best professor I have ever had. His lectures, for the most part, are clear and concise. His lectures are funny at times and he finds ways to keep your attention. Siegler turns a potentially very boring topic into something interesting. His exams are challenging, but if you study you shouldn't have too much trouble.
Prof Siegler is a very good prof. I really liked his lectures, they were fun and informative. He is clearly on the academic side of economists, and from what I know his entire career has been in academia. For this reason he stresses math all the time, much more than other professors. Too much I'd say. Good prof, a little too hard for 101 tho.
Awesome teacher!! Really stimulates interest in subject. Study hard and really understand the derivations the teaches in class and its an easy class!
he's a visiting professor from sac st. tough professor, especially for intermed macro. you're really going to have to learn a bit of econ on your own because siegler is not easy and isn't the best at explaining economic concepts..he expects a lot from you on the midterms
Siegler is a great guy and a wonderful professor, but he is also quite tough. Econ was my favorite class to go to this quarter, but it was also my hardest class. Be sure to study very hard for the exams, because he may throw a curveball on the free response part. Overall recommend him :)
Exam was way harder than I expected. Lectures were not that clear. TA helped me a lot in this course.
Great Professor. Tests resembled practice tests.Need textbook if you want to do well on Multiple Choice. Allows 3 x 5 note card on tests so no need to memorize formulas.
He is awesome and makes the lectures quite interesting. Attendance is not mandatory but you should really go.
Great Professor, you will learn a lot compared with other professors. He covers a lot of material. Can use 3x5 card for exams. Show up to every class and write down what he writes on board. And put effort into HW.
Professor Siegler keeps the lectures interesting, and is one of my favorite ECN professors at Davis. He engages students during lectures. However, you do have to supplement your notes by paying attention to what he's saying rather than just copying what he's writing on the board. You will be successful on problem sets if you do this.
Definitely my favorite class of the quarter. What I enjoyed most was that I actually felt like I was LEARNING, rather than just regurgitating information. However, not an easy class. Go to lecture, take notes and LISTEN. He is passionate about what he talks about and it's difficult not to let that rub off on you.
Very good lecturer who focuses on application more than theory. Enjoyable class but very strict grading on exams. Would recommend
TAKE 1A BEFORE 1B! You have to go to every lecture, and listen the entire time. My TA was absolutely useless. Midterm review sessions are also useless. 2 midterms, and an impossible final. The curve was so strong that it made my final grade rise 16% because everyone was failing. Textbook didn't help. Nice guy, hard class.
Professor Siegler is a great macro professor. You will get the grade you work for. Go to office hours because he will try his best to help you understand the material. Go beyond memorization because application is a critical part of this class. And go to office hours because he may hint at possible exam problems. He also has a great sense of humor!
Make sure to pay attention to what he says, not just what he writes on the board.
Recently switched to an exams-only format. Each exam is now worth 33% of your grade. You should read the material but listening to what he says in class is crucial to success on the exams. If you skip lectures, you're gonna have a bad time.
Great teacher. Class material is complex, but he teaches it well without being boring. Unlike many, he has a sense of humor. Do the homework, study for tests. Probably won't need the reading packet (which he didn't write).
Siegler is a wonderful professor!! He lectures without any notes and knows ECN very well. He has a sense of humor and makes ECN much more interesting. This class was very challenging, but he's not out to get you. Everything on the test was fair. I would definitely take him again. Also, he does curve if ppl were wondering.
Siegler is a great professor and the class was very fair. He is clear about the learning goals, and the exams are just a reflection of these goals. People that go to class will do well, people that don't will not. He is very engaging and funny, and uses basic ecn principles to explain the US economy. I would take his class again, no question!
Extremely long lectures. Sometimes he was on point but mostly wasted time. Read the book! Exams easy on multiple choice, but the essays are kinda luck-based. They're graded on a very specific rubric, most people seemed to get half-credit on them. Prof is a little pompous, and openly likes his Sac State students better than Davis. Not recommended.
Great professor, great lecturer. He makes the material interesting and has a sense of humor. Also had him for ECN 102, he explained stats way better than the stats professors I had taken. Homework is straightforward and tests are challenging but doable if you know how to do the homework. Textbook isn't crucial but is a good idea for tests.
Most definitely there when you need help. Does a relatively good job at teaching you the models and concepts without being bogged down by small details. Exams require you to grasp the models and concepts, along with memorizing the more "social sciencehistory" aspects of lecture.
If you are learning with second language please avoid him. Don't expect he will give you any lecture notes! (sometimes a little bit.) No lecture slide. He will ask you to buy his reader. He just standing there talking for 80 mins. He gave me a hard time. two mid-term one final. That is all.
Siegler made me love economics! I was scared of macro having had a hard time with micro prior to his class. He is a great professor who is very available to help students. Go. To. Office. Hours. He's funny and helpful so take advantage of that!
Great professor, tough in terms of grades, but knows his stuff.
Great teacher, lectures well, and is interested in the subject. His homework is hard and takes a while but its worth it. (20% of the overall grade!) Definitely one of the hardest classes I've taken but glad I took Iwith Siegler
He's cool you need to go to class and take notes if you want to do well but he knows what he is talking about, great professor.
He is a friendly and humor professor, but you know what history will never ever be funny. If you only want take for credits don't forget ask pass/nopass for this class... because a is a tough way dude... Good luck to these people... BTW you need 300pages book and try to memory them all...
hes a good lecturer overall. his tests arent easy. even though i went to every class and read the book, there was stuff on the exams i had no clue what the answer was. there was 4 hw assignments 2 exams and final. exams were multiple choice and essay responses. so really take great notes, read well, and know specific detail and info
interesting class! the book is easy to read & he further reiterates ideas in class. However, exams are hard & designed poorly. 14 multiple choice worth 5 points each, if you miss one your score goes down a lot. also at least one free response. he did not even offer a study guide for the final b/c he was busy. would not take again.
Hard tests and the book is pretty bad. But if you want to learn econ from an interesting professor this is the class. I went to his office often and it was amazing listening to him explain something. Anytime I was confused he seemed to know exactly how to describe what I needed to do. Tests are challenging, but it will help in the long run.
Great professor. He prepares you for 140/145. Take easy professors now and you will have a much more difficult time later on. If you skip his lectures, you better read the book like some sacred text. I personally never read it but I always attended lectures and took good notes. Passed both his classes with an A (100A & 113). Will take again.
Go to lecture. The course pack is a textbook he is getting published. The entire course/lectures are based off his book. Exams aren't easy. Curves off of improvement.
Very helpful guy--has a good sense of humor even if he's non laugh out loud hilarious. Definitely go to class, the lectures aren't boring and important for tests!
It was not an easy class. Homeworks were ok. But when it comes to exams, it is hard. Be prepared to spend a lot of time and don't take it with other tough class. He is willing to help though for questions you might have in class and going to class and discussion regularly will help a lot.
Good teacher for ECN 102. It's a class with a lot of material to cover, so be prepared to study and go to the professor or TA office hours. There are a lot of concepts and terminologies to learn, and sometimes it can be very confusing. The book doesn't help much for some topics.
Homework takes at least 4-6 hours and i don't think its worth wasting time on homework when he ask nothing from it. He grades really hard and ask tricks questions on exams. would never take him again!
He teaches old style but he's really good at it. He has a humor that will help with dry materials. Materials don't reflect on exams. Multiple choice questions are tricky and ambiguous. The HW is a waste of time considering the fact that not so many companies and institutions use gretles anymore. Also HW is not exam related! The reader is not good.
He has a great sense of humor to counter the dryness of the class and teaches in an old style (i.e. write on the chalkboard and take notes). The important point about Siegler is that his practice exams are a good representation of the actual tests and he makes ECN 102 passable given how challenging it is. HW is also worth a lot for an Econ class.
He is much better for more technical classes like ECN 101 and ECN 102 than he is for Econ History. He wrote is own book and is very knowledgeable. However, exam questions were very specific from his book and difficult to study for. HW didn't seem to represent material covered on the exams as well. More difficult than most Econ elective courses.
Dr. Siegler is a must take. His class is easy and you actually learn something. I've had him 2x now and both were easy As. In some classes, you might actually need the text but through.
A solid professor. He's very clear and straightforward and tells a few jokes/stories on the side to keep the class going. His tests are a bit weird, but doing his practice problems and homeworks can get you a better feel for his style of questions. His homeworks are easy, just a bit time consuming. He's easily approachable and a nice guy.
I took Mark over summer session for ECN 135. This class does not have any homework but dont slack off. I advise going to lecture, but the class was overall pretty easy. Only 3 tests. 2 MT and 1 Final. Practice exams are just like real exams. Make sure to read the handouts he gives you! They help alot on understanding material.
Post problem sets that are 0 use to study for exams. Rely so much on GRETL in these problem sets, while asking everything to be done by hand in exams.
Definitely would not recommend this professor. Lectures and tests are discouragingly confusing. Will not take any of his course ever again.
First part of class i really hated him. But honestly guys, if you study well you'll be fine. I slacked off for the midterms big time and redeemed myself for the final. As long as you keep improving you are solid. If youre reading this prof, you're the best and I will name my kid after you. Take this if you'll dedicate time if not good luck.
I thought this course was very challenging. I bombed the first two midterms, but did well on the final so I passed the class with a B. There was a generous curve in the end. Tests are difficult, so study hard for them and be sure to do all the problem sets. Professor Siegler is a good lecturer, but the material is a bit dry.
His lecture notes and practice problem sets are quite helpful. Do them carefully and you will get good grades. The course itself is not hard.
Really funny guy. Basically in 101 he was just teaching basic math skills with some intuition. Had some funny stories and jokes so lectures weren't too dry. If you can understand equations easily class probably won't be as valuable to you. 100% of grades are based off of midterms and finals. Curve for the class is pretty nice.
This was probably the most valuable classes I have taken at Davis. He teaches the material with emphasis on intuition, so you end up really learning, not just cramming. I have used the knowledge from this class in many others. His lecture notes are great for exams. Study and put in work and you'll be fine. Also a great guy!
Nice guy, well qualified however I've had him twice now and his classes are the hardest classes I have ever taken. He expects a lot of his students.
you really need to attend his lectures in order to see what material he focuses on because that is what appears on the tests. i also read the textbook if i didn't understand some concepts he presented in class and that helped a lot. there are three quizzes instead of midterms and a final. the hw is really easy and you're guaranteed a 100 in that.
Prof Siegler is a very passionate and knowledgeable lecturer that will keep you engaged. The class has 3 midterms and a final and online Inquizitive homework. You won't succeed if you don't study since the midterms are only 25 MCQs.
His lectures are so boring. His midterms are based on the book and online homework. I went to every lecture and I think it was not helpful at all. I learned more from the book than in class. He does not do examples of problems in class. He just defines terms in lecture.
Boring lectures, oftentimes has trouble getting concepts across, due to a love of going off onto tangents. Writes math related/graphical problems on a white board, which is impossible to see, and explains them in a messy, convoluted way. Learned nothing from lecture, and had to rely heavily on the textbook to perform well on exams.
professor siegler is a genuine guy that shows a great enthusiasm towards econ. he makes lectures entertaining and is clear on what's expected of students. reading his book is essential to passing tests (2 midterms, 1 final) and attending lecture helps. overall would recommend taking a course with him.
Funny lecture but useless. Memorize every word from the book and you can get perfect score.
Mark provides you a general background during lectures. He spends most of the lecture talking about basic concepts and goes off tangent sometimes. Therefore, you should read textbook to help you better prepared for the exam. His exam is doable but requires you to fully understand the concepts. Overall, take him if you are good at self-studying.
He scored in a strange way. There are two MTs, one Final and one Referee Report. I really don't understand how he scored. It's hard to get a good grade. It is useless to learn more about the contents of the lecture. In fact, his lecture is not used at all. You have to buy the book he wrote and then eat it all with memory bread.
Prof Siegler is a cool dude. Likes to go off onto tangents with subtle jokes. Tests are based on his textbook and you should know the readings by heart to pass. Trick to do well: do his practice MC, look for the answer in the textnook, note the location, and read & understand that passage. Practice nothing like actual exam but hey thiccc curve.
Professor Siegler is by far one of the greatest Professors on campus. This man truly cares for the material being presented as well as the wellbeing of his students. In order to succeed in 111, you must read the textbook. Siegler gives great and informative lectures with plenty of anecdotes and funny side stories. Receptive to questions, great guy.
The tests were heavy. The grading policy was not clear. The lectures were boring. The professor sometimes digressed from the point. If you have other choices do not choose him.
Siegler is a great guy, funny no doubt. However, lectures were boring and hard to follow (he moves FAST). Reading the textbook saved me and was surprisingly useful and easier to understand. If this is the first econ class you'll be taking, buckle up. But it is manageable if you put in the effort and take the practice exams. Also, study w groups!!!
Siegler is funny and a great guy, but not the best lecturer. He gets off track and goes on a rant, so you don't really know if you should write any of it down. He doesn't like slides so he uses the chalk board, so he doesn't post lectures on canvas. Class consists of 2 M, 1 final. TA's were very picky when grading the short answer questions.
Rambles a lot on random stories, even held us back once to finish the material that he had to cover because of a story. Tests are way harder than lecture, FRQ graded harshly. HW is due on Sunday night even if class is on Tuesday, and is a lot of your grade. Basically copies outline onto board, bad at explaining concepts. READ THE BOOK!!!
Prof Siegler is a nice guy, but his class is not good. The homework and lectures feel completely disconnected from the tests which are way harder and cover material that wasn't discussed in class. Other things: TAs grade hard on tests; online homework isn't helpful; mistakes on the practice tests; prof bad at explaining concepts.
Definitely go to lecture and office hours, get to know your TA. Two midterms and a final, plus some online homework thats a guaranteed A. Tests are heavy but Siegler curves in the end. Study practice tests and go to lecture!
This class was hard simply because I am not an Econ major and it had 300+ students. If you are not naturally good at Econ make sure you take advantage of all the TA's/Professor office hours they did a nice job helping. Discussion was not mandatory and class was not either, however go to both if you need clarity.
Lecture can feel really long and boring sometimes, but he tries his best. Ask questions in class he will take time to answer them, as well as your TA (a good TA is crucial for the midterms). HW is very useful for the class, plus he makes it fun, a good teacher who knows what he is doing.
Siegler fails to see that his low test averages are a reflection of his poor teaching; he sees them as students being unable to succeed at a hard subject. As a teacher, you should take cues from your students. Maybe ask yourself, "am I teaching this in a way that students in an intro class can understand?" Because, quite frankly, you are not.
Very respectable. He definitely knows what he's talking about and for the most part is very clear on lectures. The class is online because of rona but overall seems like a friendly guy. Hard concepts to grasp but reading the textbook and watch youtube videos help. Weekly hw, 3 midterms, 1 final, class is curved.
Dr. Siegler is a very knowledgable and presents the information in a very logical way. His lectures are very informative 100% prepare you well for the exams. Every single exam was very fair. He is also a really nice guy and is very open to answering questions during OH or review sessions.
Siegler's lectures can be a bit boring sometimes, but it is very clear that he's a professor who really cares about his students. I took this class during the COVID-19 Pandemic, and Professor Siegler was very understanding and accommodating for students with extraneous circumstances.
lectures are not easy to follow
Doesn't hold live lectures and when you ask him questions through email he rarely provides any sufficient advice. Instead tells you to go to discussion section and ask there instead. Useless.
2 Exams + final, 3 problem sets (before each exam) and weekly lab exercises. Took him in the summer, during Covid and was very doable. Lectures were clear, asynchronous and were posted at the beginning of the week as was the lab exercises. He had a TA and held office hours. Exams were multiple choice. Will definitely take again.
Professor Siegler's lecture was amazing. I was an Engineering major and chose ECN1B as a General Education course. However, after his inspiring lectures which sparks my interest in the field of economics. The economics concepts were clearly explained and his lecture and his engagement with students guided us to have sensitive Econ thought pattern.
TA was a saving grace. Online lecture videos were very clear but was boring at times. Good professor. Learning R was very enjoyable. Definitely use R Studio though. Overall a pretty tough class.
Such a wonderful professor! Super clear powerpoints that help you dissect his book better. The exam is fully based on information given during class and in the powerpoints. I did not read the book but I read the powerpoints very closely! 3 exams and 1 project. MCs are straightforward, might need some work on essay questions. But not hard to get A.
His lecture changed my life.
Do NOT believe all the positive reviews for ECN 1B. Out of all my professors, Siegler is one of the worst I've ever taken. What made him so horrible is that there is lack of communication with the entire class, especially during online setting and for office hours, he never shows up/gives an update cancellation notice to his students. Not worth it!
Unreliable professor. Doesn't show up to his own office hours and forgets to post lectures on time. Class is pretty hard as well. He doesn't prepare you for exams. Would not recommend.
Worst professor I've ever had. He spent five minutes chastising a student on a live Zoom meeting for asking a question he didn't like. He took pride in teaching a difficult class but didn't do anything to make the material comprehensible, posted the hw late, then tried to make the students pay for an account to get access to it. Never again.
He's very unaccommodating to people's situation, he has no concern for his students. He often sounds very passive-aggressive when you ask him to do the bare minimum like explain himself. He whines a lot when you ask for concept help, I almost forgot he isn't a 10-year-old. I would recommend anyone else but Siegler for any ECN classes.
The only class where I found it almost impossible to get an A.... RUN
Terrible person! He completely does not care about students' situations. The test is very hard, and the lecture is not focused. DO NOT imagine that you can get an A in his class. AVOID HIM!!!!!
Worst professor I've seen. Terrible person with an uncaring attitude about the class, university, faculty, and students in general. Does not provide any visuals, so good luck if you are not an auditory learner. Brags about his personal income while bashing students for pirating his textbooks online. People like this have no place teaching. GET OUT!
Siegler always promptly responded to my emails regarding course content. Clear notes, but make sure to write down facts he mentions but aren't there. He usually explains concepts clearly. Pay attention to every word he says. Make sure to understand core terms/concepts because later ideas build off fundamentals. Memorize notes and u can get an A.
Worst professor I have ever had. Tough grader, him and his TAs are unreliable. He doesnt explain concepts well and I had to rely on the book + YouTube to understand the topic. Not worth it, avoid at all costs!!!
He is on my do-not-take list.
Don't take his class. His lecture slides only have a bunch of words, which does not help me at all. Also, tests are very heavy. Homework is useless for preparing for exams, but required for credits. It is impossible to get an A, but if you want to do well in his calss, make a good note. Write down every single words he says and work hard.
Homeworks were Inquisitives, rest were 2 midterms worth 24% each and a final. Extremely useful material, but tricky questions in exams - basically make sure to . I missed one of the homework deadlines due to a time zone issue but the professor was understanding enough to give me credit.
A lot of reviews recently have been rather harsh but idt my classmates have been very fair to Prof. Siegler. Before every midterm he gives practice Qs that strongly resemble the actual test and while some questions can be hard, they're never things we haven't seen before. HW is free pts and the FRQ just requires that you explain yourself well.
Not recommended to take him. His lecture was so boring, and the PowerPoint is full of words without any examples. I mean the questions also without the explanations. 2 midterm and 1 final, no drop lowest grade or curve policy. DON'T TAKE HIM IF U THINK YOU R GOOD AT STUDY.
The lectures in this class make sense but he misses critical definitions and concepts that you just have to hope are covered by TA's. Very harsh grader and not forgiving on exams. The problem sets take days to do and at least while we are online don't really relate to the exams.
All I want to say. its complicated. please be a little more accommodating to your students' concerns.
Avoid avoid avoid. Bad communication, didnt give extentions on due dates when he uploads assignments late, and harsh exams. Dont recommend ever
Horrendous instructor; makes you question why you attend this university. Brags about his textbook royalties while condescending the entire class, forcing them to buy his low quality high priced textbook. Asks questions on tests never covered in lecture that are totally unrelated to the course content. This man must be fired and you must avoid him!
He is the best professor I ever had. He is so inspiring and I decided to double Economics major because of his class. His lecture sparks my interest in Economics and this push me to digest the course material very well. I would definitely recommend this professor to everybody.
Extremely hard exams and homeworks were pretty useless.
Expects you to know the material very well through attending his long -winded lectures where he goes on several tangents and rambles a lot about his life. Hes very anecdotal and digresses a lot from the main points and the material in lectures. Very specific in terms of exam grading. Also the class is harder than what it actually with him.
he rambles a lot, I found it very difficult to follow along with his lectures. slides were text-heavy (not a bad thing) and discussion sections were pretty useless. tests were more difficult than they needed to be and free-response was graded harshly with no real feedback. good curve to make up for it. more stressful than needed
His lectures were long but kept my attention. His exams were mostly multiple choice and fairly easy. When there were short answers they were exact questions from the lecture. He was easy to talk to and gave a nice curve.
No recording and he goes through material too fast. No sample practice for the midterm. Be fully prepared before each lecture or attend OH as often as you can. 6 lab (involve R), 3 problem sets, 2 midterm and final. The course load is definitely more than 4 units.
Really hard Mean grade of midterm is 50/100, and he said no curve???
Almost the worst lecture quality I've had at Davis so far. Almost impossible to follow what is being discussed at any given time and the prof does not do a good job of explaining. TAs are awful graders and are thirsty to call out the smallest mistakes. Textbook is horrific to read (if you can even attempt to do so). This is entirely a stats class.
This class is entirely a stats class, complete with confusing hard-to-follow lectures, and hard-to-google material. Normally, in a difficult class I can follow the material to the point where I know exactly where I need help. This class makes the hard topics harder with confusing, vague, and fast lectures. At this point, I just want it to be over.
What he did in class were read his slides. Worst prof I've ever had in UCDavis.
problem set and lab due the same day before every midterm, and the avg for the mid is 50 and he says no curve.
avoid at all causes, the worst professor you will see in the Econ department, mid term of 50 without curve. more than half of the poeple is going to fail...
Lectures are exactly off the slides, only goes in depth if you ask him. Midterms are barely related to the material. Says he knows how much we are struggling but keeps saying he can't do anything about it. Emphasizes the 3 people who get 90+ on the midterms as if there are 30 people getting 90+. Maybe look at the other 99% who are averaging a 50%
His lectures were just reading his PowerPoint and the class was almost entirely self-paced. 6 labs and 3 problem sets, and each assignment took me many hours. As a statistics class, this class had a lot of difficult concepts that he rarely explained in class, and no records. This was definitely the most painful class I have ever taken at UCD.
I took lectures about econometrics for many times, only this class is the most meaningful for me. Though there are lots of homework but it's worth. Finally, I handle it better than the begining. By the way, professor is very kind. If you truely want to learn something, this class is a good choice for you, regardless of other mean comments.
Sunday night, stay up late to review all the slides and practice test, felt depressed beacuse I knew all of this effort will turn up as a big D on my transcript. Happy life, Keep clam and smile, retake is my fortune. Welcome all of Davis students to take this class and realize how happy your life was. : )
AVOID
Siegler is a decent lecturer, but the issue with the class comes from the fact that your homework (problem sets and labs) do not set you up for the test. Instead, they teach you R and concepts. Basically, if you wanna do good in 102, you gotta be willing to put in work on calculating by hand, while knowing the concepts and applying them.
It's very difficult stuff. He did not give a detailed explanation and almost had students teach themselves a whole new piece of software. It took students several nights a week to finish his homework. The exam was difficult, averaging about 50%. The professor criticizes all the students in his lectures instead of reflecting on himself.
Not an easy course. But if you work hard, an A or A+ is possible and you can actually learn a lot from this course. I think a lot of comments below are irrational. Respectfully and frankly speaking, they are kinda blaming the professor due to their own laziness or stupidness. If you are hardworking and smart, go and take the course.
Great professor. His lecture is boring but useful. Grades are based on two midterms(MCQs), final(MCQs+one FRQ), labs, and homework. Labs and homework are fairly easy but time-consuming. Exams are extremely hard as the average is around 60%-70%. Not sure about the curve, but 85% raw score is curved to an A. Absolutely will take his class again.
He's a very good teacher who gives fair exams. The class was essentially a stats class, so if you have a strong stats background you'll do great. Class definitely gets harder later on but he's very understanding and will try to help you. His exams don't test R which was nice. Participation quizzes tested understanding and were low stakes points.
Great professor. Took him for multiple summer sessions. The material is difficult but he does a good job of explaining. The tests are not easy but they are not bad if you study. He is very helpful if you need help outside of class. The homework helps a lot with performing well on the test.
Bad professor
The material is challenging, but the professor explains well. Homework helps a lot, and using resources like Unstuck ai can make studying more efficient. Tests are tough, but an A is doable if you put in the work.
Good Professor Economic History Class of 2017 Phil Econ.
Good Professor of Economics History.
professor economics, economic history data analysis. my grade could have been higher, the classes are hard, fast
good professor economic history, data analysis. hard classes.
