Very fun and entertaining prof! His class is a little challenging, but he makes it really fun. He's a very down-to-earth guy and very fun to learn from. Yes, its a hard class, but get over it - we're in college. He wants you to succeed but doesn't give you a cake walk, either.

I really liked Mark. The class was very fun, doing skits and things like that. His tests were easy, in that he actually tests you on things that you think you would need to know (instead of stupid random details from the book). He's really a good guy, and if you're serious about you're studies, you'll do more than fine. Highly recommend him.

Took in the summer and it was a pretty heavy load. I ended up getting a good grade (A) after flunking the 2nd exam. He's real picky on being on time, even though he's only there at the last minute. The summer classes are accelerated wich made it harder. Seemed there was a test or quizz almost everyday. I didn't find him very helpful.

open book online quizzes once a week. 3-60 point exams with the use of notes. A final of 100 points with no notes. Final was an accumalation the online quizzes and the first three tests, questions were word for word. You still need to apply yourself, read the textbook, take lecture notes and study. I received an A by a couple of points.

Sarcastic sense of humor. Speeches are required to be by the book, meaning very mechanic. Intro, body, conclusion. Forget jokes or any form of personality in the speech or else it turns into "rambling." Seems to enjoy the fact that he knows more about speech than his students do.

There were 2 midterms, first we took our own, then we took them as a group and averaged our own test score with the group's score if the group's score was higher. Good teacher if you work hard, you will read about 25-30 pages a week.

Fun class and professor. We read chapters outside of class and took quizzes online. In class we discussed the chapter(s) in our small groups and with class. He was a good speaker & shared funny real-life stories to relate to the content we were studying at the time. He is a very fair & great professor. I would definitely take a class with him again

Made his own rules up as the semester went along. Would punish you academically for doing assignments too close to the deadline, for example gave 60% for turning in an assignment on D2L 35 hours prior to window closing. Punishes you for doing assignments between 12am and 6am. Takes off points if you do not respond to his emails. DO NOT TAKE HIM!!!!

nice dude but I didn't learn anything besides create an intro, body, conclusion and form a speech from it-- which was hard to do on my own given that not everyone learns the same way. basically learned from the textbook but there were no tactics on how to give a speech efficiently. on god, I was not the only student who messed up during presenting.

I was in his class for a single day before dropping out. He treats the class like he's a military drill sergeant. He will take 7% of your grade off for not responding his emails in 48 hours, will take off 40% of discussion posts if its 12 hours BEFORE the due date, and will delete discussions if he doesn't like them or if it has grammatical errors.

Perhaps it's because school is online now and it's harder to teach a communications class, but the experience has been abysmal. I've never come across a prof that fails you if you do an assignment later than 48 hours before the due date, seems like he doesn't care about students success but rather enjoys being in control.

Great professor but the exams and quizzes have nothing to do with what you read in the textbooks. Beware of random facts he brings up in lectures because it just might be on the exam. A lot of people are upset about his 48-hour rule, but I personally don't have an issue with it. You have 2-3 weeks to do 3 chapters of reading, the associated tests, and a discussion post (plus commenting). All of this can be done early if you read 10 pages a day. He also has a pretty clear rubric and will comment if you don't meet the requirements

Read the textbook and take the quizzes! quizzes are helpful in the long run because the tests have the same exact questions as the quizzes you take on each chapter. He lets you have one page of notes for some tests too. Only thing to be concerned about is getting a good group because youll be working with that group the whole course.

The discussion questions were online (fully online course). All responses posted within 12 hours of the deadline received a maximum credit of 60% but will be a zero. The final exam is 100 short answer questions but you only get 120 minutes to answer which is nearly impossible for slow readers. This course felt impossible to earn an "A".
