He has been the worst professor I have had by far. I would not recommend him to anyone. He is not very understanding nor helpful, especially during a pandemic. pay attention to lectures because he does not post any resources on his canvas to help. Also be prepared for grading inconsistencies, because the TA's do not use the same grading criteria!

I took this course during the pandemic and it was one of the worst classes at UNCW. The course material was not hard to follow. You have weekly reading assignments that are basically busy work (easy As). However the 3 essays will kill your grade. I took notes and still got C- on each essay. The TAs grade the essays extremely hard. Good luck...

Ive studied, read the material, and provided concrete evidence and still got Cs/Ds on my essays. The weekly reading assignments are easy but the essays will absolutely kill your grade. Recommend! Weekly homework of 4 questions from a reading. If you follow the rubric it's an easy A. Three papers throughout the semester that are graded tough but if you go to office hours you'll make a great grade. Attendance not mandatory but lectures help with papers and it's the only place that you'll get the requirements/topics for the papers.
