He brings great real world experience. He does not lecture straight from textbook, but you will need in order to study for exams. He gives review sheets for each exam that has the exact material to study. Very fun and interesting class and teacher. He shows true concern for his students. Likes to use the "f-bomb" so he may offend some, not me.

He's straight-forward, real world, no BS teacher. He brings in real world experiene to the class. If you do your work you'll gain a lot from the class and get an A. We need more Tregers at UNT.

He wants you to know what to really expect out in Corp. America.He wont tell you anything you wont need. He is a cut-to-the-chase type who will tell it like it is.Love his analogies and life experience stories.Only textbook needed was 1" thick.If you want an A, read it entirely and also, use "Perfect Interview" software to prepare for 2 interviews.

Very experienced in real world knowledge. HIGHLY recommend taking him. He knows his stuff and is funny. Bottom line: No B.S. type, funny, SMART, interesting, attendance is a must(but you will want to go anyways), test easy if you go to class. TAKE HIM YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT.

Great professor. He wants you to succeed and will go as far to let you contact him on his cell for any questions or concerns. No BS or busywork... he just teaches you the material and his tests are practical and applicable in real life. Go to class, ask questions, you'll make an A.

Professor Treger was a fair teacher and if you listened and attended class you recieved a lot of real world data from his experience. I noticed many comments noted problems with his ego, but that wasn't my experience. He always paraphrased that these were his experiences. I found them very helpful. Much better than what was in the textbook.

Class is INTERESTING!!! He relates a lot of his lectures to personal experiences and funny stories that make it helpful to understand. He's very helpful and his tests are very clear. What he says will be on the Exam is plain and simple!! DEF. RECOMMEND you to take him!

Take good NOTES! Most of his Exams are from his lectures. Very energetic and knows his stuff to the T! Nothing more nothing less of what he says will be on the tests! His lectures are related to his personal experiences and funny stories so its interesting! DEF RECOMMEND!! :)

This is a great professor....he's very direct and hyper at times. His lectures are all based on his life experiences, both personal and professional. There are times when he is all over the place but but for the most part some of his lectures are pretty interesting. Easy A or B (whichever your prefer). Take him!

Mr. Treger makes learning Marketing interesting and I enjoyed his class. He's funny and can be a little confusing at times. Overall tests are easy and I would definitely take him again.

One of the best professors I've had in my 4 years. He's extremely knowledgeable and has worked in the industry so he is constantly giving real world applications and letting you know what strategies work and which ones don't. He is straight up. You show up to class and take notes you will get an A! you have to understand the humor to like him. He has no time for ignortant people so if you are one do not even attempt to take his class. Do not suck up he hates that. Dont miss class or you will fail.

You basically have to come to class it is a must, he tells you everything you need to know for his test and what you need to get out of marketing. He relates topics that are practical and gives examples that makes sense, and an easier way to learn the material. HE IS a GOOD teacher.

Textbook was used as more of a reference, not followed precisely. Gives tons of real-life examples. NOT a tech guy- emails? Forget it. Call him when you need help. Exams are all free response, but he asks NOTHING new. Pay attention, write EVERYTHING down from the board, you will get an A. Swears like a sailor at times.

He uses a book for reference and will ask you to read to get a good sense of what the lecture will be about. Make sure you copy everything he writes on the board because that will be the information on the test. He gives you a review sheet and will go over it in class. Ask questions and he will explain. He can be abrasive and he swears a lot!!!

This teacher is a little all over the place. But that did not bother me because so am I. In a weird gross way I found him kind of cute . He cusses like a sailor but that does not bother me either because so do I. While keeping your attention with his provocative language and bizarre stories you are guaranteed to learn a lot!!! Take him!

He is one crazy professor!! Would definitely recommend whoever is taking him. Has two test and as long as you study whats on the review your will MAKE an A for sure there is no way you can't pass this class with flying colors majority of the class made A his lecture is realistic and its a bit long.. don't expect to leave class early.

Great professor, Tregor's class is super easy as long as you go to class and take notes. He is easy to listen to and you will learn a lot. Tests are easy as long as you know the material, and if you go to class it is impossible not to know it since he nails it into you.

Mark Treger is an outstanding instructor. His lecture are clear and straight to the point. You repeats himself several times but its just to ensure that you understand what is needed. His quizzes are simple and clear. All you have to do is come to class, take notes and he will tell you what is exactly on the exams, there are no surprises.

I took this class Spring 2015 and it was actually a really good class. He has a way of making things that are completely confusing make sense. He should prob teach math. lol. Anyway, there are only two tests and are straight forward. If you miss one class, you will miss alot of information. Come and pass, he takes roll everyday.

Spring 2015Laid back teacher. Read a short book, took notes, and tested over it. Straight forward test. We did a regular interview and a sales rep interview; they aren't too horrible. Those are the only three grades. Come to class, pay attention, take notes, and ask questions to clarify grey zones. There are no group projects. Easy A or B.

The class was literally life changing as he provided me with the tools to not only be successful in his class, but also successful in a career. Upon graduating, I had an interview with both Oracle and Amazon in which I was very nervous about. I reached out to Treger for help prepping and was able to receive offers from both companies!!

Treger is an awesome professor! His class is revolved around "what goes on in the real world". ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY and participation is equally important. He really cares about his students and will go the extra mile to help. Any of Treger's classes will give you the tools needed to stand out. **Tests Are Extremely Difficult**

This class wasn't my fav. Treger is usually all over the place in his lectures & his Exams mimic that. He is extremely Down-to-Earth and funny, but he means business when it comes to student getting the information. Lectures are long and tests are a mess, but he'll work you if you ask.

Cool teacher. Abbreviates notes ALOT. Sporadic notes and tests. there is a group project at the end of the semester if you work you will understand but there are parts that you will not know how to do (hope he fixes) good luck

He has 2 test and a final project. If you read, attend all the classes, and take notes you'll pass the test. He helps you understand the material better through his lectures. He gets to the point. Final project is a bit tough.

Took him on Spring 2016 at UNTD. Straight forward on his exam and oral exams. 1 written exam and 2 oral exam; final exam was little tougher than the first but able to get good grade. He is clear what's in the exam and should read the book (not text book) that is required. Sad thing is "Professional Sell" is at an end, think its better than writing

Classes are helpful in preparing you for real life situation. He definitely knows how to put things in perspective, just make sure you show up and take notes and you should make an easy A

Professor Treger is a great marketing teacher. He breaks down the information in the simplest form for you to understand. He really makes you think about something of the things that's going on in the world. There's only 2 test and a group project that's worth about 10 points. If you pass both of the test, you pretty much passed with an A.

One of the best classes ive taken. Must show up!! Very intimidating at times, shows his frustration, but clearly he is passionte about his craft. Real world experience with real world projects and you get to build an awesome resume. Will take his other classes now and im going to reach out to him once job hunting. He was a ivy league recruiter

By far the most real world application of any college professor I've ever had. Very knowledgeable about the subject matter. He treats you like an adult, doesn't assign busy work or superfluous assignments. Plan on attending class every day, though. 100% would recommend and plan on taking any other courses he teaches.

This guy is by far the best instructor that I have ever had. Two exams and a Case! It doesn't get any better than this. VERY IMPORTANT, DO NOT BE LATE AND DO NOT MISS CLASS, you'll need all your notes! Last but not least do not take him if you're extra sensitive he's not a babysitter, this class isn't for immature adults!

Show up to lecture having done your reading already, you're in college. If you miss 3 classes you get an automatic F. He makes your money worth every penny. Seriously, the lectures are incredibly entertaining yet applicable to that of the real world, pay attention, take good notes and you will do well.

Everything that professor writes on the board, needs to be on your notes!

Show up to class on time and pay attention to what he writes on the board. IT WILL BE ON HIS TESTS! He writes all over the board and tends to jump around but try to keep up with his lecture and his notes and you should do fine.

There are a total of 10 assignments; 2 papers, 1 group project, 3 oral presentations, 1 online assignment, 1 resume, 1 cover letter, and 1 outline. NO Exams! This class is pretty straight forward, do exactly what he says and you will pass with an A.

The lectures were not boring at all. He doesn't use online tools or power points which I found great and refreshing. This class only consisted of 2 exams and a group project case study. He does not ask for the current version of the book which makes it so easy to find for very cheap. Pretty simple class.

Prof. Treger has the teaching style that fits my needs perfectly. The class was 50% midterm test and 50% final (non-cumulative). I hate busy homework that has no bearing on my level of understanding, and MKTG-3650 had none of that. Attendance is taken, but there is no credit for it. Miss if you want, but the lectures provide the study material.

Hes something else. Youll be fine if you take him, he is very lecture focused. Although sometimes he has very harsh commients. Teaches from experiences!

Loved him. Humble and hard-working man. He admires go-getters and appreciates students who just want to break the cycle. He can come off as mean, but he means well. DO NOT MISS HIS CLASS MORE THAN TWICE, YOU WILL FAIL.

Excellent professor with lots of real-world experience. He knows what he's talking about and has lots of useful life advice. However, he WILL NOT baby you. His teaching style can be characterized as blunt and he will not hesitate to call you out in front of the class during presentations. If you don't mind his blunt style than you'll like his class

Simple as 2 not multiple quizzes but the review is just like the quizzes. 1 group presentation and he gives it to you since the beginning of the semester so have lots of time. He is very honest and straight forward which I personally learned a lot from. He gives you real world knowledge so I totally recommend.

I was a bit afraid to take him because of the reviews I've read here, but he ended up being one of my favorite professors. There's only two exams and a case. Exams are fairly easy, he gives you a review a couple weeks before so you can study. There is no surprises, so no reason to fail. Case was easy just pay attention to what he teaches.

He wants you to read the book and know the terms for the test which are essentially thought experiments. The presentations are challenging. Overall, it was worthwhile.

No tests. 2 papers. 5 in class assignments. You don't have to purchase any books. He does not use canvas at all. Everything has to be turned in during class. He is VERY blunt. This class will push you out of your comfort zone. Show up, pay attention, take the assignments seriously and you should do fine.

He is definetely very blunt and straight forward. I liked that we didn't have any HW just a group project and 2 exams. The exams are open ended questions but he gives you the questions that will be on the exam and does a study review prior to the test. Study your questions or pay attention in class and you will definetely pass.

Professor Treger is truly an amazing professor. Hes an old school business cat with a plethora of knowledge. He teaches real world application of the course material which can be carried with you throughout your entire career. He cares about his students and wants us to succeed. Professor Tregers class was one of the easy I have ever taken. Now, if you are a firm believer of PC culture he is not the professor for you since he is blunt and straightforward and I enjoy people like that. All in all, turn in your rough drafts and practice talking with people and youll pass with flying colors.
