Mark is the most amazing professor I have experienced. This course is very difficult, but he has a great ability to help you understand the material. You will learn more in this course than any other you have taken. Brilliant.

I loved this class. It was a lot of information, but Mark made it fun and interesting.

Vancura has a way of making complicated things fun to learn. I would recommend him in a second if you have to take anatomy. Just make sure you go to class and take notes!

Mark is the best instructor I've had at CFCC. He is clear and concise. You have to work to death but it pays off!

Mark has got to be one of the best teachers at CFCC. I took both A&P I&II with him. I got A's both times. Much memorization is needed and he is very clear in all he teaches. He makes jokes, and in general is just a great guy! Highly, highly recommended!

Mark's class was very challenging but he will push you through until the end. If you know his study guides inside and out you will pass! Hint: Never miss a day after a test!!

OK, this is a hard class. If you have to take this I assume it's a prereq to some sort of program. This class is only the beginning to many harder classes. Yes you will have to study, alot. Mark is very helpful and tests right from handouts and notes. An "A" is possible.

I took another professors' class for 168 and it took a little getting used to (grading, tests, study guides, etc.). I got an A in 168 and a B in this class but I learned much more from VanCura. He is super funny and keeps it interesting.

Mark is without a doubt, the best option for those wanting careers in the medical field. His tests are insanely hard, but you will learn more than you ever thought you could from this guy. A++++.

The Amount of material is difficult. He teaches the concepts and uses real world examples. He is excellent and the key is that he wants you to learn. The grade will come if you learn material.

ok Anatomy isnt supposed to be easy. just know that. The book was not used at all. If you attend class and takes notes while PAYING ATTENTION, you will do fine. His test review COMPLETELY outlines the test, he is very willing to help. I made an A in the class. everyone should be able to. he is very knowledgeable and GREAT

Vancura knows everything, he's truly brilliant. He writes his notes from the top of his head, never has to look up an answer to a students questions. You can learn a lot from him, but you have to work at it. Very hard class, but an A is not impossible. He gives extra credit opportunity to make up for really difficult tests!

Marc truly is the best teacher for this subject. I had a different teacher for 168 and realized I learned less than I thought. Marc teaches you what you truly need to know. Mark is a GREAT A&P professor. He teaches what you really need to know. His class is hard but it's fun. His tests are also straight from the study guides and from the book. YOU HAVE TO DO YOUR PART, THOUGH. Study. Study. Study. Read. Read. Read. And you will get an A just like what I did. I've learned A LOT from this class :)

AWSEOME teacher!!! He knows his stuff. Gives extra credit and handouts. Do the handouts they will help you! He is friendly and helpful in any way. An A is NOT impossible. I wish I had had him for BIO 168.

One of the most interesting individuals you'll ever meet. If you take ANY other teacher for anatomy you're signing up for a rougher time. Tests are directly from study guides and labs are free points. He gives you a ton of information but, you don't need it for tests so don't stress out. Mark will do anything to help out. He is so laid back! He takes role but doesnt count absences. His class is soo easy! He gives lots of handouts and extra credit. The tests are hard but he is more concerned that you learn the materials. he tends to get off subject alot and tells stories to make class fun. His class can easily be passed with an A or B.

KNOWS HIS STUFF! He gives you study guides and goes over stuff twice or more. Test are easy if you pay attention and study. The study guides are basically the test. He really cares and tries to help you. This class isn't too boring most of the time. TAKE HIM.

AWESOME PROF! Unlike other science professors' I've had he isn't dry at all. He cracks jokes and very throughly explains each topic! The work is hard because it's A&P but he's great!

Wonderful teacher! I took him for the summer mini sessions. He is very clear just pay attention!! Repeats himself (ALOT) for a reason!Everything on test comes from study guides, notes and sample test he provides. Highly recommend him for A&P. Makes everything SIMPLE!!!

If you need to take Bio 168 and/or 169, take Vancura! His class is very fun and you learn a lot from it. I won't say that his class is particularly easy. You have to be willing to work for an A. He is very knowledgeable about his topic and he's really funny with his dry sense of humor. I gave him a hotness rating because intelligence is hot.

Mark is an excellent teacher! He's funny, very smart, I was surprised at how well he actually knew his stuff. I took the summer session of 168 and 169. The text book is a MUST! He gives tons of worksheets of problems that come straight from the text. He'll tell students a few times exactly what's going to be on the test so pay attention! Take him!!

Amazing teacher and a great guy. Class is interesting and informative. He doesn't just make you memorize things, but gives you real life scenarios to relate the material to. Labs are usually walk in/walk out. Love this class!

I love his class it is the most enjoyable class I have. It is very intense and hard if you have a full class load. Try to take it when you know you will have time to study. Great teacher and great class! I will have him next time for 169 also. I am looking forward to it. :)

Mark made this class fun and enjoyable. He really knows his stuff and I highly recommend taking him if you need A&P. His lectures are detailed, but he basically tells you what is expected on the test and really wants you to learn something a do well. Do yourself a favor, sign up for one of Mark's sections.

Best professor I have had so far in my college experience. I mean the man is a DR., Lawyer, and teaches for fun. He explains everything clearly and makes time to help if you don't understand.Definitely recommend him. He makes to where you do not MEMORIZE, but you actually KNOW the material. I took Mark for both Bio 168 & 169. I definitely recommend him out of all the professors who teach these courses. I signed up for Smoots and had to withdrawl because it was so difficult..and people told me she was the better teacher. Mark knows his material...doctor and a lawyer and is SUPER nice. Easy course as long as you study. I love Mark!

I am recently taking Mr. Vancura this semester and wow was I NOT disappointed. This man knows everything there is to know about the human body. He enjoys teaching this class (doesn't need to but WANTS to teach). Gives extra credit, very lenient and I love his labs. 85% of the nursing students that graduate are HIS students! So take Vancura!

Initially thought I had messed up by taking Mark coming into his class with a 20 year medical career his methods seems odd and under challenging but as the semester progressed I found myself learning much more than I thought I would which convinced me to follow through with my A&P II with Mark and it was as I expected a great learning experience.

Amazing teacher! Loves what he does! Hard to follow at times and his work load gets to be extreme at times also, but at the end of the day you learn something! I took A&P I and II, Best anatomy teacher at CFCC!

Took both 168&169 during summer. If you do the work and study the practice tests he gives and understand it there shouldn't be any surprises easy A,all material is repeated in the work.Taking each class in 5wks all the work and learnings was pretty much self directed.Advice: find someone to work with, it will make your experience way more bearable.

He is an amazing teacher! He does give you a lot of homework to do but if you answer the questions you are guaranteed to see them again. He gives you a practice test the class before and its basically what your test will be. If you pay attention, ask questions, and come to all the classes your are guaranteed an A. SUCH A GREAT PROFESSOR AS LONG AS YOU PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT HE TEACHES YOU SHOULD HAVE NO PROBLEM. HE IS VERY UNDERSTANDING. I COULD NOT AHVE PASSED THIS CLASS IF I HAD TAKEN ANOTHER TEACHER. I DID HOWEVER TRY TO TAKE THIS CLASS BEFORE AND I HAD A 54 IN THE CLASS UNTIL I DROPPED IT SO IT WOULD NOT HURT MY GPA. BEST TEACHER AROUND.

Mr. VanCura does things his way. He has his own book his own style of teaching and his own types of labs. If you are going into the health field he is the best instructor you can ask for. His labs are similar to a nursing lab where you get patients and you try to figure out how to diagnose them.

Hands down one of the BEST teachers at CFCC. If you are going into nursing or any health profession take him!! He explains everything in a way you can understand it for life not just for a test. There is a lot of work but if you do it all you will learn and get a good grade. This class is 100% relevant. Hes just a fun and great guy!

This is A & P so yes, it is not easy. Yes you have to work for your grade, but you have a wonderful professor teaching you some amazing things about the your body. He gives study guides that help you retain the material for the test. Wish he would teach Micro.

If you are required to take A&P for your major, it would be foolish not to take Dr. Vancura. I had never stepped foot in the field of Anatomy before taking his class and am able to walk away with a basic understanding of it. I'm taking him again for 169. Very kind and caring man and will do everything he can to get you through his class!!

VanCura is a great professor. Yes anatomy is hard, but he is willing to help you with your grade or any questions you have. He gives extra credit assignments which you should always do in college. I would highly suggest taking his class.

Dr Van Cura is very different from most professors. He gives more independability to students rather than drag them on a leash. I feel it helps students learn better. His lectures usually cover the very basics and if you want to learn you will need to read the book and do the homework (very helpful). He gives out practice exams and extra material

People have a lot of negative things to say because he makes you buy his $400 book and tear out pages and turn them in but I couldn't care less. He is extremely intelligent. I appreciated the opportunity for him to share his knowledge with me. He gives easy A's regularly and he doesn't expect much. If you don't pass it is your own fault.

he sent out practice tests that were the same as the test. Doesn't give lots of homework,Do the end of chapter questions in the textbook and submit assignments and you'll do fine. This class is not hard but the course material is important if you are going into healthcare so extra time to study is required to actually learn material

100% TAKE MARK VANCURA!!! THE BEST!! Smartest person I have ever met. He TEACHES you. Anatomy is a very hard subject and I would not know a thing if I had not taken this man. I had some complainers in my class-- but that's because they did not want to do their work or care to do it. If you want an A, you will can easily work for it in this class.

Not gonna lie, you have to work for this A, but it is so easy! Just show up to class (lectures are not that long), DO THE END OF THE CHAPTER QUESTIONS, and the study guides are basically the tests. & Extra credit! If you actually try, this will be an easy A! The only downside is that you cannot get a used book. You HAVE to purchase his book; $300.

MY FAVORITE PROFESSOR I HAVE EVER HAD. HE WAS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND PASSIONATE ABOUT HEALTH CARE. HE IS WILLING TO HELP YOU OUT IN ANY WAY THAT HE CAN YOU JUST HAVE TO TALK TO HIM!

There's a ton of material, so the focus isn't on minutiae, it's on concepts and relationships. Read the book, do the work, show up, make sure he knows who you are (these criteria apply to ALL higher ed classes.) Not difficult to crack an A, but you do have to put forth some effort.

Very passionate about anatomy and physiology. He is also easy to email and quick with responding. Definitely the best anatomy and physiology professor. As long as you listen and apply yourself you will get an A

I am blown away by all of the bad reviews recently, Vancura is an amazing teacher! He really expects you to read and do homework to be able to understand lectures but when you do it the class is incredibly rewarding. STUDY YOUR STUDY GUIDE and the tests are super manageable. He expects you to put in the hard work but looks out for you if you do!

Do all of the end of chapter questions, case studies & labs and you will be fine. Even if you got an average of an 82% on tests combined you will still get an A for the class.

Great teacher and will work with you! As long as you study, do your chapter reviews and put in the effort he will pass you! Really good teacher that responds to his emails!!

Great professor after all, he really does care about the students and their success. Make sure you read all the chapters because all the answers for the review questions are on the book, also beware of pop assignments so check your email everyday.

Mark is THE BEST BIO teacher I have ever had. He is fair with all his assignments and they are super easy. On his tests, he provides a study guide and he's always available to students. He gives out his phone number to students for quick responses. I recommend this teacher to ANYONE!

Hands down the best Bio teacher ever! There work that you must complete but its not hard and all in the book! He's really awesome guy and would suggest him to anyone!

Great feedback, available even after class hours, use laptop or computer to upload assignments in blackboard. Do NOT let your assignments fall behind, wear a jacket or a coat to class, participate in answering and asking questions. Gives extra questions.

You have to read the material to understand. Homework is very heavy but a lot of the questions are used on the tests. Not many essays just a lot of homework, tests and quizzes.

You can probably get an A in this class without learning much, but I don't see the point in that. Mark is extremely knowledgable and gives his students a lot of resources to be successful. It's sad and scary that so many students want to do the bare minimum. Take him and take advantage of having the opportunity to learn from him.
