Mr. Walker is a very good math teacher. He is very helpful and goes through each lesson plan thoroughly to make sure every student is on the same page. He gives five tests plus a final, with one of the five test scores being dropped.

This is not an exiting class, but I would highly recomend. It was super easy to get an A. He patiently explains things well, and if you do the homework, the tests are really easy, and the homework gives you extra credit on your tests.

Great professor. Really organized and helpful. Tends to go pretty fast, but do the homework, go to class, and you will be fine. Expect to go to every class and stay the ENTIRE time. Lots of HW, but he gives time in class for it. Plus 5 extra credit points on the test if you do all of it.

I thought he was a very clear and organized teacher. If you are slow at math, this is the teacher for you because he explains every step. Definitely do the homework because it helps alot on tests. The tests are very easy as long as you attend the review days.

He's very fair, clear, organized, and definitely knows what he's talking about. He doesn't move too quickly, he tries to make sure you understand, and he seems dry at first, but he really grows on you.

He's really organized and helpful, but he goes way to fast and covers too much in such a sort amount of time. Most of the other Math 60 prof.didn't go through the whole text like he did. Gives extra credit on ur tests if you do ALL your H.W. Don't fall behind! Every class in crucial.

He is a very good instructor. He does however go very fast, and requires a lot of homework. The homework gives you 5 extra credit points on your tests, so it is worth it. This was my third try at Math 50 and I finally passed. I would take him again for Math 60 in a heartbeat.

Great Professor! Doesn't care if you come to class as long as you are there for the test. Does give a lot of homework, however, it helps at test time.

Definately sign up for M Walker's classes if you can handle the homework load; not excessive, just important for mastering the concepts and complete assignments give useful bonus points on tests. All the lessons are presented clearly, concisely and even though I thought I was a total dummy at math, I've been doing really well in this class!

Walker is a chill teacher. He gives you lots of homework but it only counts as extra credit on test. But he is really kick back and never gets mad. I definately suggest taking him for a math class.

He really takes his time to make sure that everyone understands the material.Of course, it is calc so you def. should do the homework he assigns.He's passionate about what he teaches and is a very calm guy.Your grade is based on only tests and there are like 4-5 and a final.You'll do fine as long as you study.

He's a good teacher kind of boring but so is math. He's out to help people he doesn't give to much hw. no quizzes I would take him again.

He is a great teacher yet the material is VERY challenging. Tests resemble homework but are harder. Expect to commit massive amounts of time to fully grasp concepts. You may want to consider taking only two other classes when taking this one.

Excellent teacher. Calculus is a hard course, and he does make it harder than it needs to be. About half of the students starting dropped. Although it was hard, I am very comfortable with the material taught and feel that i am more prepared for calc II than some of my friends that took it with other teachers.

He is a very patient person and is willing to ansewer any questions you have. He makes sure everyone understands the material before moving on. I would take a class of his again, and I recommend him to anyone who may have trouble in the subject.

I like Math so my rating might be a little biased. This class takes a lot of effort. You really have to pay attention and do the work to succeed. it is kind of a lot of homework. but i have anothing but good things to say about Mr Walker. He explains things well and he always asks if the class understands. I would definetly recommend him.

This guy was so borring! I had to have something to do in this class to keep me from falling asleep every time! His tests are hard and he is not helpful. He won't help you if you don't understand and he doesn't care. I failed this class out of sheer bordom.

Calc has hard concepts to comprehend. Inst takes his time & gives lots of expamples but doesn't encourage questions during lecture. Tests cover the extremes of what is shown in class. No easy test questions, you really have to grasp class material or you are doomed. If I had to take it again, I don't think I would take Mr. Walker.

Mr. Walker presents all the concepts to the students, but he does not encourage qustions. You get the feeling that if you ask a question he is going "What, why don't you get this easy stuff?" Tests are way hard, questions test the edge of your comprehendsion of the subject. If you really don't understand all the nuances of math, you fail tests.

Hes an okay teacher, but really boring, if you stop paying attention for one second, you'll lose the whole lesson, its sooo eas cheating in his class. Everyone does, its almost funny!

Bring a pillow!! Daily attendence, keeps you until the very last minute. Countless hours of homework, buts its extra credit on his test. He makes the material easy to understand, but the tests are IMPOSSIBLE, hardest possible problems. If you are not good at math I would not choose him as a teacher. Overuses the word "mmkayyy'.

Very boring, monotonous teacher. But, is very good at explaining, does many problems on the board to get the concept thru your head. Lots of homework, but he gives you time in class to finish, you usually get almost all done. Summary- boring, but take Walker if you have difficulties in Math, its helpful

He's very clarifying and does his job,but as of helping out, it's best to be an independent student. Ghastly amounts of homework for the mere extra credit it's worth, but better than nothing and he uses the most extreme examples on the exams. You'll appreciate him at first, but by semester's end, you'll be disappointed in his overall performance.

Great teacher for serious students. Taking this class will make you a better student. Some of the exam questions are tricky and time consuming but that's because it's calculus. :) Covers every section in detail so you'll be prepared to go on to the next level. Doesn't give grades away but an A is possible if you ask questions and put in the time.

Wow, I'm really surprised at all the people that don't like him. I am HORRIBLE at math and this is my first year in college and I think he is an excellent teacher. He is straight to the point. Shows you how to do it. Lets you do all your homework in class. Tests aren't hard I don't even study I just use the knowledge from my homework and I'm fine.

He is a boring professor but to the point. He gives a lot of H.W. but it isn't due until the test. Class starts by going over H.W., then notes and examples from the book. The rest of class is for doing H.W. but he waits till the end of class to assign complete assignment so you have to e-mail him to get the rest if you choose to leave early.

He was the easiest math 110 teacher I've ever had, I took 2 math classes before him and failed and with him it was really easy and I'm not good at math, I strongly recomend him.

Prof. Walker is a great math teacher. I took a summer class with him and he's very clear and very helpful. He might get a little frustrated trying to explain a student's question, but don't be intimidated. Just do the homework and ask questions when you have one and don't talk in class. Show him you care about your grade and you'll shine.

He was such a great professor! He goes completely by the math book so you won't see anything you haven't seen before on tests or homework. Homework was extra credit for the class I took, but do it anyway because it's extra credit and because it's good to study with. He's great.

Well, I think its really awesome that his homework is extra credit...I did all of my homework and i am happy that it was extra credit. His syllabus is very straightforward and to the point. Read it!!! Ask questions if you do not understand!!! I wish his office hours were longer and i wish he had more office hours.

His notes are well organized. He also goes in depth so it prepares u for MATH 141 a lot.His exam is not that hard. just make sure to do hw every class, thats how u learn math by practicing and getting used w/ the problems. then u can get 90s in the tests. highly RECOMMEND!

A math professor for math enthusiasts. He goes by the book and has a very liberal grading scale. Doing the homework is a must if you want to pass the tests, as with all math classes. His teaching style is gentle and patient. He is willing to repeat himself several times if needed. Great Professor.

There is a lot of material to cover and he does go through it all. The notes are easy to read and understand but I was never able to understand his exams. I've never received a C in my history of school and currently have a 3.7 GPA. I got a C in this class. The hardest part was trying to understand his exams. Everything else was clear!

I took him for math 135. He was my second Palomar math teacher. He is very clear. He explains the concept behind what you need. I enjoyed his class because it was challenging. I ended getting A in his class. The only advice i can give you is watch out for the 3 test. That test is a killer. I got 98% on the second test and 70% the 3rd. So watch out.

Mr. Walker was a nice teacher and the material he taught was fairly simple, but I found it pretty difficult to stay focused during class. His voice is monotone and could easily doze you to sleep. If you're expecting an "A" from this guy, you better do the homework and study over the material. Test and homework are basically the same

Prof. Walker is an amazing math teacher. I highly recommend him, pay attention in class and study the problems he goes over in class and you will be very prepared for his tests. Hes kindof helpfull, but if you are struggling and don't speak up or talk to him after class then you can fall behind very fast. He kindof expects you to know everything already. He assigns ALOT of homework and it's only worth 1 extra credit point per assignment. Tests are average but he is a hard grader so an A can easily be a C if you screw up

He's a great teacher. If you want help just go to his office hours. At first he may seem stand off-ish, but after the second visit he's great help and a nice guy. If he knows your doing your homework and trying in the class he will remember that when your final grade is being entered. So get help if you need it!

He makes things easy to understand and does things step by step. He posts the lectures and homework assignments on blackboard, and they are easy, but contain a lot of simple thirty-second problems. His assignments are usually decent and don't require too much effort.

His teaching style is so easy to understand even for students whose first language is not English like me. As long as you do your homework and study for each exam, you will be fine. He will give you an extra credt if you complete each homework. I passed this course with an A, I really appreciate him.

I'm not one for math classes; I struggled throughout high school with math and my teachers were never helpful. This guy will make sure you know what you're doing before you leave his classroom. He gets boring, but if you're there to learn he's an amazing teacher. I am taking him again for Math 110 and I'm excited to learn and pass his class.

I have NEVER been good at math, but with him it was very easy to understand. He is very helpful and always asks if you have any more questions and gives you time to do homework in class, he does assign a lot of homework, but he lets you do a lot of it in class. It can be worth up to 5p over your exams.

Walker was an interesting teacher. There was an INSANE amount of homework assigned each night. The only perk was that all Homework wasn't worth Credit, but instead 5% extra credit for the next test. His tests are fairly straight forward, and pretty easy if you know the material. Only downside are his painfully boring lectures.

He was a very helpful professor! If you have trouble with math and need a professor who won't embarrass you about it, he's your guy! He will answer your questions about homework in the beginning of class and assigns a lot of homework but if you do the homework, you will pass the tests because they are usually the same problems.

Awesome teacher..prof walker is one the best teachers I've had...he is very helpful, after I finished the course I went to ask him for help on other math subjects..he is that good...he makes math super easy! Take him..but make sure you study hard and do your homework too!

Mr. Walker is a nice guy. Gives a lot of homework which is expected at this level. Be ready for 25 hrs homework a week. Does ok job of explaining.Makes many mistakes during lectures. Easily approachable. Tests are VERY difficult. Expect to see problems you've never seen before on test day. Barely passed calc 2 and barely passing calc 3. Rushes.

Very helpful. I took this class in the summer along with another class so I struggled a bit with the work load. During the summer you get A LOT of hw but it's only natural. Tests are not multiple choice but the final is. He will mark off points for not labeling obvious things like the X and Y axis.

Professor Walker is a good math teacher. He goes over the homework in every class period and let's you ask questions all the time. However he teaches really fast and sometimes you will get lost in what he is talking about.

He is an ok teacher. My biggest problem was his very monotone voice. It makes the lectures seem like they are so much longer than they really are. He has no problem helping you with anything you need, and he doesn't make you feel stupid if you don't understand something.

To be honest he's really boring and the lectures are really long but his teaching methods are good. Homework isn't mandatory but if you do it, it's extra credit on the test. The class overall is hard but he's extremely helpful if you ask questions. He doesn't use mymathlab, which was a plus to me because I hate mymathlab.

Calculus is a very tough course. But Prof. Walker taught me more about algebra in a semester than I learned in any other algebra-specific class. Seeing the examples worked out and having access to all of the notes (you might have missed - WRITE THINGS DOWN!) online is very nice. It starts off very hard but stick with it. He's good.

Professor Walker makes learning math easy - if you attend class and do the homework. He cares about his students and is very approachable if you need help. I've always hated math but he has inspired me to push forward with more advanced classes. Very fair grader - you get credit for what you know even if you make a simple mistake.

I hate math and Professor Walker made math so much less scary. You have 4 tests and a final. If you pay attention in class, and do the homework you're golden. The test questions are super similar, if not the same as the homework. If you do all of your homework, you get 5 extra credit points on the test. TAKE HIM!

If you do not practice math you will have a hard time grasping the new material, he was very good at explaining the new concepts, and I enjoyed the class it was 6wks during the summer2016 for Math60, So super intensive but doable if you put that effort in, great teacher!

I do like math so this class was not hard for me, but having a great teacher like professor Walker was fantastic. I hope I can take one of his classes again because he explains math well and he wants his students to understand it. Whenever I got my exams back I could easily understand what I did wrong, and I really appreciated that.

Great notes every class. Also posts the notes online. Kind, caring, and very helpful. All homework is extra credit, collected on test day & added to test score as extra points. Great at explaining the material. Very understanding. Gives about 1 hour & 20 minutes for tests. Tests usually about 20 problems. You will learn lots in this class.

He gives lots of homework, but if you do it, he adds extra points to your test. He goes over the math problems that are going to be on the exam, and most of them are similar. He post lectures online, including study guides. I recommend buying the teacher's edition textbook, including the solutions book from Chegg Study. I reccomend this professor.

Professor Walker is nice, and knowledgeable about calculus. There's quite a bit of homework, but doing it is for extra credit on tests, which make up 100% of your grade. He takes homework Q's and then lectures for the entire class, which can be slow and dull. Overall, a decent choice, but you will need to put some effort in- it's a hard subject.

Prof Walker was one of the best math teachers Ive had. He has a clear love for mathematics and proves the majority of things in class. He does mess up with problems a lot, however, it did not bother me much. Overall, I definitely would take him again. This class definitely is for those who like math a lot or are math majors though.

Professor Mark was a more than adequate teacher, most people mistake tough subjects with poor teaching, when in fact Calc 2 is just flat out hard. I'd more than recommend Professor Mark if I had to take another course, what you put in is exactly what you will get out. Grade is based primarily on tests, but he more than prepares you for them.

Great professor! It is math and it is preparing you for Calculus but I understood this professor more than my high school teacher. He makes sure to stop when someone has a question and explains until they understand. He does go really fast in his lectures as there is a lot to cover but he is accessible and uploads the notes after the lecture.

Awesome professor. Calc 3 is pretty difficult but he does a good job of preparing you for his exams. If you spend time really knowing the homework material and the review you'll do fine. Had some tech issues after one of the exams and he was very understanding and took care of it.
